📚 𝓢𝓴𝓲𝓷𝓬𝓪𝓻𝓮 𝓡𝓮𝓪𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓛𝓲𝓼𝓽 📚
💳🛍I recently went on a book ordering spree... (😝one of my favorite things, besides skincare splurges) 💻 Even though we can get seemingly endless information about skincare online, I was curious to seek out some books because I love the tactility & I really hate reading on a screen. Regarding ingredients, there is a plethora of opposing information online, & I’m sure these books will yield some of that too. It’s important to cross reference your searches, meaning checking multiple sources & comparing that information. It’s also important to consider what site is providing the information & whom might benefit from it. 📚Swipe to peek inside📖 PRETTY ICONIC A Personal Look at the Beauty Products That Changed the World By Sali Hughes 2016 💄$18-$21 (paperback version) I was most excited about this one, I’m a big fan of pop culture history & of course I love beauty products. I think this book would likely find a loving home on many of your coffee tables☕️ With over 400 pages of iconic & cult popular skincare & cosmetics products from over the decades, this is such a fun addition to any beauty fanatics collection! THE BEAUTY GEEK’S GUIDE TO SKINCARE 1,000 Essential Definitions of Common Product Ingredients By Deborah Burnes 2019 👩🏽🔬$15-$18 • 178 pages A really great resource for looking up both chemical & botanical ingredients. The vast majority of the book is just like a dictionary. It also includes some natural recipes & remedies, as well as source references for all ingredient info. MAKEUP IS NOT (JUST) MAGIC A Manga Guide to Cosmetics & Skin Care Written & illustrated by Ikumi Rotta 2019 🌸$14 • 135 pages This super cute manga was translated into English earlier this year. It takes the form of a guide to the basics of Japanese skincare & makeup application by following a loose narrative of a young woman who writes about beauty products on social media (sound familiar?😻) I read a lot of manga, I’m impressed by this high quality paper! THE KOREAN SKINCARE BIBLE The Ultimate Guide to K-Beauty Secrets By Lilian Yang, Leah Ganse & Sara Jiménez 2018 Makeup chapter by Esther Sandoval 💗$13 (hardbound) 🇪🇸This was actually originally published in Spain as: ‘El Arte Coreano del Cuidado de la Piel’ It’s a cute little 189 pages, straightforward & informative. K-BEAUTY : THE FACTS Korea’s Top Dermatologist Reveals the Insider Truth about Korean Skincare By Hae Shin Chung 2020 🇰🇷$13 • 175 pages This book aims to debunk &/or demystify many Korean skincare myths with science, graphs & knowledge from 1 of South Korea’s most renowned dermatologists.
PRODUCTS I’VE BEEN USING FOR OVER 10 YEARS!
I have oily and sensitive skin, that has always been true for my skin even when I was a teen. Growing up i had stubborn acne that led to acne scars which then led to hyperpigmentation. While my acne has calmed down and I now only get the occasional hormonal breakouts but my hyperpigmentation is still here. There are a few products that my dermatologist had recommended to me as a teen that I love and use to this day even though my skin has changed. Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser - when I had sever acne as a teen my dermatologist prescribed me all types of cleaners for my skin to help reduce my breakouts. A bunch of the cleaners we tried had harsh chemicals and irritated and dried out my skin. Cetaphil gentle cleanser is a water based gel like cleanser that helps to wash away dirt and bacteria without those harsh chemicals that strip skin of moisture. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin - this moisturizer is super lightweight and gentle. It is a white lotion that is hydrating but not greasy. Because my skin is so oily I didn’t want something that was going to add much more shine to my face but rather something that was going to keep my skin hydrated just enough so that my skin would over product oils as a result of a lack of moisture. DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel - the formula has changed a bit since I was a teen so I don’t think it is as effective now as it was back then. Before it was only available with a prescription and now you can buy it over the counter. It has a white gel like texture. This was a game changer for my acne. It really helped to reduce the appearance of my acne and dark spots. It is one of the only acne treatments that doesn’t irritate my skin. I try different skincare products from time to time but I always keep these 3 products stocked to fall back on when other products don’t work to plan. I would recommend these products to people with sensitive skin. #CheriePartner

Body Acne Savers🎉🎉🎉
Body acne can be one of the biggest concerns for anyone nowadays. There might be many reasons that cause body acne and show anywhere. I personally have an acne problem in the back. I have used 2 products which work really well to improve this concern. 1. OWAY - Detox Body Bath Cleaning is a very important step to improve skin problems, especially for solving acne and pimples. This O way shower bath is not just a normal shower bath. All the O way products are ECO, animal-test free, and ethically produced. This body bath includes biodynamic Walnut with rich vitamin C that gives an anti-redness action, purple rice that leaves the skin silky soft. It truly worth your penny and meet its name DETOX, as it cleanses and purifies the skin while leaving it smooth and protected against external aggressors. It energizes the skin and has a valuable anti-dryness effect. 2. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion After showering, using moisturizing lotion to let skin stays hydrated. Cetaphil is well-known as a good price point and quality. I use Cetaphil as it is good for sensitive skill, fragrance-free, and fast-absorbing! I apply every night after taking shower, it contains avocado oil which really locks moisture. To use good and natural product clean first, then a moisturizer to lock it up! Within these two products, we can also have regular exercise to detox our bodies. Both skincare and physical exercise will detox the body acne faster!

The rich body cream gives relief to my dry and sensitive skin. I apply this cream liberally all over my body after a shower, especially in the evening. With a natural scent that’s not overpowering or too feminine, the fragrance-free and paraben-free cream hydrates and allows my skin to stay supple until the next morning. It contains extra-strength emollients and humectants to bind water to your skin and prevent moisture loss. Current PM Routine
I’m very early in my journey of finding the right products for my skin and clearing my acne. I currently love theCeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream My skin can be angry with pimples and redness but by morning redness is minimum and dryness gone. I also love MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion for treating active acne. This lotion seriously reduces the life and size of pimples overnight. All other products pictured above I’m still experimenting with and very open to suggestions for my combination, acne-prone, aging, dull and rough skin.
Cetaphil oily face wash review🧼✨
Texture/consistency: It has a very foamy, light and airy texture. Almost as if your holding nothing. Products targets: It’s meant to help people with very oily, pore clogged skin. Results: When putting it on it would dissolve and disappear 🤨quickly so you have to work quick. I usually put two pumps but that’s my preference. There is a little feeling of dryness after but it wears off after a bit. 🤔 It has really helped my clogged pores and my acne, I feel refreshed and clean after using. I have been using this for a while this is not permanent but if I find something better.. bye bye foam wash 👋 Overall this product is great. It does the job and there isn’t any discomfort after using! Would I recommend though yes I would! If your skin is very oily and has clogged pores this would be great for you! Happy skincare everyone!😘

🦋What is a moisturizer? Moisturizers are an essential part of every skin-care routine! Just as our bodies require us to hydrate with water, so does our skin 💦 In short term, moisturizing perks your skin up, giving you a healthy fullness. In long term, consistent moisturizing helps decrease the appearance and rate at which fine lines and wrinkles emerge. 👉Tips You normally use your moisturizer at the end of your routine. It will hydrate your skin and help it wrinkles less. If you have an oily nose like me👃 you are not in the obligation to moisturize it, especially if you where makeup. Your foundation will stay longer on it😉 🧴Some if the best moisturizers🧴 e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream - Fragrance Free It’s fragrance-free and has the benefits of hyaluronic acid, peptides and niacinamide😍 Great for sensitive skin 12.00$ THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer With its 1% peptide complex and a special smoothing royal jelly protein, this moisturizer seems like a typo! Great for all types 15.00$ Neutrogena - Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer Perfect for mature skin! It minimize visible signs of aging and instantly plump skin🙃 22.00$ CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin I couldn’t pass beside one of the most popular skincare brand! It even contains SPF 30 lotion 🧴 It wears really well under makeup 💄 and is perfect for oily skin! 19.00$ Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizer Probably my favorite drugstore moisturizer🤩 It contains hyaluronic acid, a dream ingredient fir anyone with dry skin😍 18.00$ belif - The True Cream-Moisturizing Bomb My all time favorite🥳 With no fragrance, it leaves the skin so smooth! It smells so good and is ideal for normal to dry skin types❤️ More pricey but worth the price 50.00$
The Journey Continues... (need help!!🙏🎢)
Hi everyone! My name is Hannah and I just recently joined here from an ad I saw on Instagram and after searching around for a good 45 minutes I thought it would be a good idea to also share my struggles with acne. After sharing my story I hope to gain more knowledge about how to fix/prevent more breakouts so I can spread that knowledge to others who face similar challenges. (And of course hopefully get clearer, smoother skin) I understand we all have different skin types so here’s a quick summary of my past-present skin experience. I have had some acne throughout high school. One time I had a bad breakout so tried acutane but that was a flop. My face just broke out even more, I had a red peeling rash, it looked like I was sunburnt, my skin was so sensitive during that so I immediately quit and a couple weeks later my skin started to clear up so I knew that definitely wasn’t for me. My acne soon got better (as shown in the first 3 pictures). But recently (as shown in the last 3 pictures) my face has been breaking out(past 3-4months). It’ll look like it’s getting better then bam pimples pop up around the time of my period or just because. My face is an endless roller coaster I never know what to do with it. I do know for sure that I have combination skin and my forehead is always very shiny and oily in the morning. (So combination skin but I lean more toward oily skin). And I’ll wake up thinking my skin looks great but then I get back home from work (at night) wash my face and that’s when it looks it’s worst. My face flares up when I’m outside for a long period of time. But a quick side note I did water polo and swim throughout high school and whenever I was in the water the chlorine cleared up my skin, but doing track and basketball made me break out a lot more. But I still had decently clear skin so it wasn’t much or a worry for me. But now its challenging because I never really had a daily face routine, it was just wash my face when it was super dry then moisturize. And out of habit I pop pimples, but I have gotten better at resisting the urge. So now I struggle because I never know what products are the right ones for me. So for the past 2 months my routine consists of morning: CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser rub in circular motions on my face for 30-60 seconds, then use my rose water witch hazel toner spray (the toner spray however I’ve only been using for about 2 weeks) and get the rest of the dirt I missed and finally end it with daily palmers eventone moisturizer. My night routine consists of the same steps except I instead use cetaphil facial moisturizer. If anybody decides to read through my long essay(sorry!) I would greatly appreciate any tips or tricks or do’s and don’ts. Even if I have to change my whole routine, or add a a few more steps I will do whatever it takes! Thank you!!💕💫

✨My Favorite Shower Combo
Cetaphil - Extra Gentle Daily Scrub Aveeno - Positively Radiant 60 Second In-Shower Facial Cleanser This is my favorite shower facial combo! I start off by using the Cetaphil scrub to wash off my nighttime skincare products and to exfoliate my face for a fresh start! Then I follow up with the Aveeno facial cleanser and I usually leave this on for about 5-10 minutes while I shampoo and condition my hair! Since I've started this routine I've noticed that my skin appears to be more youthful and looks replenished! This combo also makes my skin feel super soft and hydrated!

Review my AM routine for acne-prone skin
My current AM routine consists of a mix of products I’ve used for a long time and products I recently started using. I’m noticing improvements with the addition of the new products already, and it’s only been 4-5 days. Here’s the breakdown on each product: Cleanser: Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser In a previous post I had rated this cleanser a 5/5; however, I recently learned that this product contains several ingredients that are irritants, allergens, hormone disrupters and/or carcinogens. This has knocked my rating down. I have not experienced any negative effects using this cleanser in the past and I have been using it for over 1 year. I am considering looking for an alternative product after what I found in my research. Toner: VERSED - WEEKEND GLOW I recently started using this product and I am happy with the results so far. I am on day 5 currently and I feel like I am seeing brighter skin. I am skeptical of toners and this is the first one I have used in years. So far, so good! Acne treatment: #CVS Health - Targeted acne spot treatment 2.5 % benzoyl peroxide acne medication[products]#[FiveStars] this is a generic version of a product I’ve posted about previously. It’s perfect for spot treatment or all over use in acne-prone areas due to the lower percentage of benzoyl peroxide. This product was recommended by my current dermatologist to treat my acne. It works just as well as the name brand and is less expensive. Serum: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I am loving this serum so far! I’m on day 4 and I am noticing improvements in oil production and the appearance of my pores and acne marks already. It can feel a smidge sticky going on but otherwise I have zero complaints with this product! Eye Cream: OLAY - Total Effects Anti-Aging Eye Treatment Eye Transforming Cream I really like this eye cream. I feel like it always brightens up my under eye area and I have relatively few wrinkles and puffiness in the area thanks to this cream. My only complaint is that I wish it was cheaper. Moisturizer: Cetaphil - Facial Hydrating Lotion This is another product that I had rated higher in a previous post. I have been using this moisturizer for over a year and was disappointed when I found out that it contains ingredients that are allergens, irritants and/or hormone disrupters. I’ve never experienced negative effects with this product;however, I’m now considering looking for an affordable alternative. Otherwise, I have always loved this light yet ultra hydrating lotion. Lip moisturizer: Aquaphor - Lip Repair, Stick, Immediate Relief, Fragrance Free, 1 Stick I love aquaphor! It’s been keeping my lips smooth and moisturized for years. I recently switched from using the ointment to the lip stick and I’m loving it so far. Both work great at keeping my lips hydrated!
Dermatologist recommended acne regimen
Since I hit puberty I have suffered from acne. After years of seeing dermatologists and trying countless prescription and over the counter treatments and products I have settled on the current regimen which keeps my skin 90-95% clear most of the time. Morning Routine Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser this cleanser has been recommended by the majority of the dermatologists I have seen over the years. It works well, cleaning without over-drying skin. Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatment this has a lower percentage of benzoyl peroxide than most other gels and creams which is recommended if you are using other stronger acne treatments in your regimen. Over treating can irritate the skin and end up causing or worsening breakouts. Cetaphil - Facial Hydrating Lotion I love this lotion. It feels lightweight but works really well. It is noncomedogenic and contains hyluronic acid. Aquaphor - Lip Repair, Stick, Immediate Relief, Fragrance Free, 1 Stick my lips split on the sides from dryness sometimes and aquaphor has always been my go to lip treatment. I apply it in the morning and evening to keep my lips smooth and prevent splitting. Evening Routine Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel this gel works almost as well as the prescription cream I used to use when I was younger. I wish it was less expensive but it’s worth the cost to have clear skin.

I’ve never had any issues with my skin during my teens which i’m really thankful🙌🏼 But the last year my skin started to break out a lot and i honestly don’t know what to do anymore. My skin has never been so bad and it’s just so frustrating to look at the mirror and see my skin like that. If anyone here has any tips for me i would really appreciate it💖. Skin type: Dry, acne prone and sensitive(sometimes). My current routine: Simple - Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water CAUDALIE - Vinopure Clear Skin Purifying Toner 200ml PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Lotion Exfoliant The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Cetaphil - UVA/UVB Defense SPF50 Daytime Moisturizer ALPHA-H - Clear Skin Blemish Control Gel
Products I used to get buttery smooth skin!
My skin got buttery smooth, are here are what products I used! So my skin has been rough for the longest time. I’ve always had a problem with acne. Then, while scrolling on TikTok two months ago, I stumbled upon SkincareByHyram. And I got OBSESSED. I was a Skincare fanatic from then on, even though I didn’t really own a lot of products for my skin. So I saved up, went out and bought his biggest recommendation for acne-prone skin: CeraVe. And let me tell you, it WORKED. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I learned that the reason why my face broke out so much was because of my oily skin. So I bought the Foaming Facial Cleanser from CeraVe. Within 1 week of use, I could see a difference. My skin was starting to clear up, little by little. And now, one month into using it, I can definitely see a difference. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin This moisturizer has changed my life. My skin is so soft and smooth now! The only downfall is that my face feels a tad sticky when I first put it on, but once it soaks into my skin, it’s amazing. insta natural - Vitamin C Serum Vitamin C serum literally changed my life. It got rid of the hypigmentation in my skin. This isn’t the exact product I used, but it’s extremely similar. MARIO BADESCU - Rose Hip Nourishing Oil This oil is the only thing I love from Mario Badescu. If help rehydrate my skin and I ADORE it. Cetaphil - UVA/UVB Defense SPF50 Daytime Moisturizer This product from Cetaphil is one of the best. It does make my face sticky sometimes but I helps to protect my face from the suns harmful rays when I go outside. GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover When I tell you this gets all my makeup off in one use, I’m not lying. I am absolutely OBSESSED with this product. It’s extremely cheap too. And there you have it! All of my products I use are listed above. Have fun buying and happy skincare! Hope 🌺
