Which eyeshadow primer is worth it?
Preface: I used to be obsessed with makeup. I’d do a full face every single morning! So I have a stockpile of products in many categories, luxury and drugstore/affordable. Ask me questions in the comments if you want to know more about either of these products! Products: J.Cat Beauty - All About That Base Shadow Primer URBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion Price point: JCat: $4.99 for .35oz UD: $24 for .37oz Scent: JCat: smells heavily of chemicals, fades throughout the day. UD: has a “stale” scent, maybe similar to clay but not chemically. This one dissipates as you cover it up. Texture: JCat: “Goopy,” but easily spreadable and doesn’t dry down super fast so you have time to work with it. On the thinner side. UD: Kind of goopy but more of a thick “I will fill in your lines & pores” texture. Doesn’t dry down easily & IMO must be set with a neutral shadow. Color: JCat: This is a warmer shimmer base that I like to use for cutting my crease or as an all over base for more shimmer shadows. I would say it is more golden than champagne. UD: This is pretty versatile in that when it’s worked in it becomes translucent. However I can use it cut my crease as well, I just need to use another shadow/shimmer on top of it to set it in place. Wearability/longevity: JCat: this is very easily broken down by the natural oils your eyelids produce. Washes off easily with soap & water, is not waterproof by any means. UD: this definitely has a super long wear time especially if you set it with a neutral powder. I do have hooded eyes so I notice creasing but I don’t mind it as you never see the creases. My experiences: So I have used both of these as an all over base and a tool to cut my crease. While I really love the JCat shimmer base as a one step product to cut my crease, it doesn’t have a very long wear time, maybe a few hours at most. So it’s great for events! But if I need my shadow to last all day I usually go with the Urban Decay primer. Overall: This is a tough one because I like both of these products! The Urban Decay just has a longer wear time and is more versatile. Honestly, both products are worth it! I would recommend both of them, they just have different occasions and situations they could be used for and work fine.

Beautiful makeup day
Beautiful makeup day
I tried the Wet nWild dewy foundation today for the first time, I had to mix it a little with my fit me dewy foundation because the shade was too light. Although I had to do that the mix was amazing!!! I’ve also been using the J. Cat beauty pocket shadow in Pop Of Paparazzi and I absolutely love the shimmers they are amazing.

Most POINTLESS product I’ve EVER used
Most POINTLESS product I’ve EVER used
This is sort of a skincare/makeup hybrid, and I want to stick to skincare for awhile but honestly this is just such a comically horrible product so I want to review it and rip it to shreds anyway. This is the J.Cat Beauty Beige Eyesurance Anti-Fatigue Cooling Under Eye Balm Persea Avocado Oil Extract (quite a title for a product that does nothing). The product claims to de puff undereyes, prep the skin for smoother makeup application and prevent concealer from slipping around or creasing underneath the eyes. It is formulated with persea avocado extract for hydration as well as vitamins A & E to blur fine lines. First of all, when you swipe into the pan, hardly any product comes off on your finger, it just feels like a slight silicone film. By the time you apply that little bit of weird silicone balm to your under eye there’s essentially no product getting onto your face at all. You’d have to dip into the product and reapply it 5x to even get a bit of a siliconey layer under your eye, which just felt weird and not cooling at all. It made my concealer not want to stick to my face too. As for the formulation of the product, it’s no wonder the balm feels like cheap silicone because the first ingredient is dimethicone, and most of the others are preservatives. There’s actually no vitamin E or A listed in the ingredients too! Oddly enough only Ulta mentions vitamins A & E, not the brand’s website, either way it’s a total lie. Also, I find it hilarious that they really push “avocado oil” as the star ingredient when it’s the last thing in the ingredient list, meaning there’s essentially none in there. J.Cat actually came out with a RANGE of these horrible balms, each with a different color to reflect a different star ingredient, all of which are also at the very end of the ingredient list. This whole thing is a total joke and major waste of money. I know it’s not a super popular product but it’s new so there are hardly any reviews out there yet, and if you come across it while scrolling through the ulta website and think “maybe this could be a dupe for that Becca anti-fatigue eye balm” like I did, don’t waste your time. The product is $5.99 (currently on sale for $4.19 at Ulta) for 0.05oz. It’s going into the garbage right after I post this review. I wish there was a zero star option. 🌈Pride Palette Alert!🏳️‍🌈
🌈Pride Palette Alert!🏳️‍🌈
Having recently splurged on skin care products, I was in search of an affordable shadow palette will all colors of the rainbow for Pride month. Let me start off by saying this palette is only $7.99! Super affordable and versatile! Given the price I was very skeptical that the shadows would be of even decent quality and while the mattes did swatch a little chalky and have low pay off, the metallics blew me away! (See second photo for swatches) With the number of colors, price, and overall moderate quality, I felt this palette was worthy of 4 stars. It’s important to me that makeup also be affordable, because everyone deserves to be able to play with looks and feel beautiful. If you’re looking to make your eyes pop for pride and keep your wallet happy, this is the palette for you! Retails for $7.99 J.Cat Beauty - Dia & Noche Tri-Element 15 Eyeshadow Palette

🌟 Amazing Powder Foundation! 🌟
🌟 Amazing Powder Foundation! 🌟
J.Cat Beauty - Aquasurance Compact Foundation is an amazing powder foundation, especially for the price. However, I would definitely pay more for it. I tried this originally because Kathleen Lights was raving about how good it was. I am always slightly skeptical about powder foundation, because I have dry skin. This was such a huge shock to me, because of how much I loved it. It is an incredibly versatile product. You can you it to set your liquid makeup or you can use it alone as a powder. It works both way. One of my other favorite ways to use this product is to use it to spot conceal. Overall, I think this is an amazing powder foundation with great coverage. I would highly recommend it to anyone. As you can see, I have loved mine quite a bit! ❤️
