This cut my styling time down by half
I have thick, frizzy, color damaged hair. I love wearing my hair blown out and smooth, but drying my hair regularly only adds to the damage. But what used to take 45 minutes, now takes me 15 minutes tops using HOT TOOLS - Charcoal Infused One-Step Blowout I start with 70-80% air dried hair and I section it for easier control. Then I use REDKEN - Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer Spray and spray each section before drying. The second hair pic is using only the hot tools brush. In the summer, I run over my whole head with a flat iron as well to give me a little more protection from humidity.
Cut down on dry time
REDKEN - Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer Spray I’ve been on the hunt for a good heat protectant for days I dry/straighten my wavy/frizzy hair. I hate products that leave my hair stiff or sticky. This heat protectant boasts “time-saving blow dry”. It’s a Multi use primer that reduced dry time while protecting up to 450°. It prevents breakage and leaves my hair so shiny and soft. I start by spraying it on 65-70% dry hair and detangle with my fingers. I use my HOT TOOLS - Charcoal Infused One-Step Blowout to dry then if there are any kinks/frizzy areas, I go over them the my flat iron. The whole process takes about 25 mins for my thick hair. It has a light scent, but nothing overpowering.
Party hairstyles: beachy waves 🌊🌞
I haven’t been to a party since having short hair (thanks rona), but this is how I would style my hair if I were to go to one! I start with air dryed hair (because I am LAZY), but I think blow drying your hair beforehand would give you beautiful volume with this style! I applied sexyhair - Healthy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner on wet hair and let it air dry. Then I sectioned my hair with a clip and applied AVEDA - Smooth Infusion Style-Prep Smoother heat protectant to the first layer. I am using a 1 inch curling iron. I skip using the clip and just wrap my hair around the barrel! I have had this curling iron forever, and will probably invest in a nicer one soon but for now this one gets the job done! Then I just take small sections of hair and wrap them around the curling iron! I like to leave out the last 0.5-1 inch to give me a more natural curl. I also hold the curl in my hand and let it cool to help prolong the curl! After letting down and curling the rest of my hair, I let my whole head set for 10-15 minutes. I don’t like to use hair spray because I feel like it makes my hair crunchy and frizzy, so at this point I am done applying products! After 10-15 minutes I tip my head upside down and shake out the curls at my roots with my fingers. I love a hairstyle with a lot of volume for a night out, so this is going to be my go-to hairstyle whenever we are allowed out of the house again :)
