Finally got my December IPSY bag and was actually a little disappointed. I’m am happy with everything I got this month especially the one palette MOODS because I’ve seen it on here posted by Jillianb1 and she made me what it! I was upset because it seemed like my package was bumped around a little too much. The LOVE CRAFT BEAUTY - LOVE CRAFT BEAUTY Blush PaletteI got and the mirror is totally busted as you can see in the pic I posted and the SMITH & CULT - Smith & Cult Color Nail Polishwas dented and the palettes themselves seem a little messed up not a lot hardly noticeable but you can see small pieces kind of chipped away and not where they should be. Anyway let’s get into what I got TULA SKINCARE - So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Face Scrub an exfoliating sugar scrub free of phthalates, parabens, mineral oil, sodium lauryl sulfate and formaldehyde releasing agents. Says it’s supposed to smooth brighten and give you more even looking skin Laura Makeup Labs - Moods Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette so excited for this one, seriously lol So it’s an eyeshadow and highlighter palette it has 8 shadows 2 highlighters LOVE CRAFT BEAUTY - LOVE CRAFT BEAUTY Blush Palettea blush palette with 3 different shades and a busted up mirror SMITH & CULT - Smith & Cult Color Nail Polish it’s nail polish and it’s like a periwinkle color, not a fan And lastly I gat a set of brushes From LARUCE there was 4 in the package tapered face, kabuki, contour blending, flat angle Haven’t used anything yet so no stars for anything will definitely do an update on some of these products Thanx for reading 😸😸
This month's @birchbox!!!
This month's birch box!!! This design reminds me of those stacked rocks you see when you're hiking!! So I googled it to see if there's a name (there is - cairns), and also apparently it's bad because bugs and animals use it as shelter and it disturbs nature so if you do that, this mani is your PSA to maybe stop 🤓base color is smith and cult kings & thieves SMITH & CULT - Smith & Cult Color Nail Polish
Dream Team, For Flawless & Mask Proof Base
SMITH & CULT - Veiled Threat Weightless Micro-Blurring Foundation This foundation has become one of my favorites in a short time. I’ve put it to the test and It’s has lasted me up to 10hrs without breaking down or transferring onto my face mask (Stats UpTo 12hrs). It’s a light weight medium buildable coverage . But honestly I’m able to build up to full coverage. This formula doesn’t feel heavy nor does it get cakey. It helps blur and cover up imperfections (which I have medium-large pores & dark acne spots / scares) . It’s made with aloe Vera & chlorophyll. They help sooth your skin & brighten. It’s considered a natural matte foundation. I was in shocked because mattes don’t often work for me as I have dry textured skin. It’s also available in 41 shades which I feel they hve a great range available. Ulta Beauty & Smith and Cult website have it on sale for $10.50 verse $42.00!! I would highly recommend you pick up the foundation as many shades have begun to sell out. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder This is a gorgeous ultra fine pressed finishing powder . It helps truly blur out majority of my imperfections. It also works amazing on my under eyes. It sets my under eyes so nicely leaving it smooth, it doesn’t feel heavy and hasn’t caked up on me. (I need to pick up a lighter shade to help brighten). I can even use it through out the day to touch up areas if needed. It comes in beautiful luxury golden compact w/ mirror and available in 4 shades. Retails $45.00 . If you have the extra cash I highly recommend it. It’s meant for all skin types and gives you a natural finish. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray I apply this on top of my primer (prior to foundation), then once I’m done with all my makeup I spray once more to locked & sealed everything. The setting spray is stated to hold up makeup up-to 16hrs and Help prevents flaking , caking and creases, I have been doing these steps for the last 2 weeks. It’s definitely helping my makeup hold up better and I rarely have had issues with it transferring onto my mask. When you spray it on after priming I’ve noted it actually helps fill in my pore better than any primer. It gives you more tacky base, which actually helps your foundation stick on better. I know it’s on the pricey side ($35.00 usd). I’ve put it to the test and so far I’ve gone up to 12hrs with no issues / transferring onto my mask. It does have a slight scent which doesn’t bother me but I know some rather not have fragrances. The spray does come in a hard plastic container. Which for me it’s good as I’ve drop it so many times lol. Again if you have the extra cash I’d highly recommend it because we need all the help to keep our beautiful makeup in place especially since we use masks on a daily bases now.
Blushes for a radiant GLOW🤩
It’s fall – one of my favorite seasons! 🍂While we embrace outdoor dining and patio season again, give your cheeks a flush of healthy glow and caramel warmth with my blusher recommendations. I have combination skin that can be dull at times and I have found these two brands most effective for a quick pop of color that lasts through the day.❤️ I am in LOVE with Smith & Cult’s FLASH FLUSH CREAM Velvet Blush. This cream-to-powder formula delivers long-wearing, matte color with a smooth and velvety texture that does not wear off even if I wear my mask. For my tanned skin, I use Warm Pink shade to give a healthy flush of color. The synthetic fragrance free whipped cream formula quickly dries down to a matte and barely-there feel and look. The blusher highlights my cheeks without adding unwanted tacky shine and oiliness. It is also SO EASY to apply – just blend the blusher on your cheeks with fingers. Tip: you can also blend some color on your eyelids as eyeshadow. Highly recommended! SMITH & CULT - Flash Flush Cream Blush I also recommend L’Oreal Paris Le Blush Bar Shimmer in Zero Stress. The metallic rose powder blusher adds a hint of shimmer for glowy, radiant skin to mask skin that can be dull or tired. The color is pigmented and rich, and is easy to apply with the included brush applicator within. Infused with beneficial oils, it is hydrating on the skin without leaving a cakey and ashy residue over time. The lightweight powder formula also makes it easy to layer for a more glamorous evening look.
Thee Soft Glam: 2020 Go-To Lewk| #CheriePartner
I am a soft glam enthusiast! Hi I’m Alyssa & I LOVE soft glam makeup!!!!!!! I am not a colorful cut crease kind of gal, Nooo soft glam is where it’s at for me. The thought of Beyoncé’s glam these days make me want to upgrade my soft glam techniques very time! Her skin and eye looks are F L A W L E S S. Lasting make-up when wearing masks 😷
I love setting sprays! Whether it’s a full day of Zoom meetings or a night out with friends, there are certain times when makeup touch-ups just aren’t going to be in the cards. A quick mist of a good setting spray as the final step in your makeup routine is all it takes to ensure makeup stays put for hours on end, especially for occasions where you need to be outdoors. I have also find that setting spray is a must for my combination skin. A setting spray helps to keep my make-up on my oilier T-zone area neutral in color and matte for a prolonged length of time. Without a spray, I find that my nose gets shinier fast and the redness around my nose and chin appears quicker. I am currently using ❤️Smith & Cult INSTANT RECALL Invisible Powder Setting Spray, and I am highly recommending it. To use it, I shake the can for about five seconds before spraying it six to eight inches from my face in a "S" shape. I also reapply to mattify and refresh if it’s a long day or night out. The spray leaves a soft, matte finish, especially on the pores around my nose area and on my forehead, by absorbing oil for serious shine control. The spray contains some beneficial ingredients such as rice starch that acts as a rice blotting paper to absorb oil, and coconut powder water to deliver antioxidants and pollution protection. The product is invisible on my face and doesn’t leave a sticky or gooey residue. It feels super lightweight on my face, perfect for summer days. I also love how the product is vegan, gluten-free and does not contain synthetic fragrances, talc, parabens and phthalates. The packaging is minimal and the design looks cool and sleek for bringing outdoors. If you are seeking a setting spray to allow your make-up to last under the stuffy mask, do not give this a miss!SMITH & CULT - Instant Recall Invisible Powder Setting Spray
MINERAL make-up to conceal & protect 🗡
Mineral make-up, known for its breathable, natural feel, is perfect for achieving the coveted natural no-make-up look. As most of us are more concerned and aware of the synthetic ingredients that go into our skincare and beauty products, mineral make-up might be a good consideration. Generally, mineral make-up uses minerals instead of synthetic ingredients for its intended purpose. For different skin tones and textures, there is also a wide range of mineral make-up to serve various needs and concerns. I love using two mineral products that only help to conceal my skin flaws but also to protect the integrity of my skin. One of my favorites in my make-up bag now is ❤️Youngblood Hi-Definition Hydrating Mineral Perfecting Powder. Available in two shades – Translucent and Warmth, the sheer setting powder helps to create a flawless finish for long-lasting makeup. Its key ingredient, licorice root extract, is a potent antioxidant and skin-soothing ingredient that improves the look of uneven skin tone. To minimize my pores and even out the redness around my nose and chin, i sweep before and after foundation with a powder brush. the mattifying powder also contains Rhodochrosite and Smithsonite extract which provides a powerful anti-aging action by strengthening the skin’s natural defenses, protecting skin from environmental damages and optimizing production of collagen for a youthful complexion. Win-win! My skin always feel fresh and smooth for hours after applying this powder. The light texture also makes it an ideal choice for touch-ups. US$42 for 0.35oz The second product I recommend is ❤️ Smith & Cult Diffuse Redness Balancing Primer which helps to address the redness around my nose as well as some spots on my chin. The problem solving primer instantly balances redness on these areas to create a more even complexion. Packed with soothing banana extract 🍌 and vitamin B5, the gel-lotion formula applies easily with an applicator. I usually dab some product on my clean hand first before applying with my finger for hygiene purpose. These primer also best works on oilier areas and helps to combat shine as well. The low-luster gold pearls in the formula instantly even out skin tone and provide a warm glow. For days where I am creating a more casual make-up look, I simply skip foundation to let my face take a break. US$32 for 0.9oz
Make-up or Skincare? BOTH! 😍
While I am using fewer make-up products than before and there are days when I skip them completely, I am still always on a look-out for nourishing make-up products that duals as skincare items that can benefit the skin. ☺️ There is a general conception that make-up products can clog our pores and can be harmful, especially items with thick pigment-filled formulas. However, there are now more makeup and skincare hybrids thoughtfully made with skin-loving ingredients. While these ingredients won’t alone count as skincare, they certainly provide an added boost of nourishment. 💧 My combination skin is a mix of oily skin in some areas of my face, specifically the T-zone area, and dry skin in other areas like the cheeks. I also tend to break-out in my forehead and chin area if I use skincare and make-up products that are too oily and rich for my skin. I have recently found two make-up products that double as skincare products. 1⃣ The first item is my new favorite - Smith & Cult Untouched Skin Brightening Foaming Primer! The primer is a mousse-to-cream formula with a subtle peach tint to even out uneven skin tone, with or without additional make-up. The foam texture makes it super easy to blend into the skin and it creates a smooth texture for the ultimate make-up blank canvas. The formula sounds like a dream as well! It contains a beneficial mix of fermented ginseng and vitamin E to nurture and brighten skin immediately and over time. I like how the product helps to give a healthy glow that shines subtly on my tanned skin. This vegan primer is also free of mineral oil and gluten, perfect for my oilier areas. Definitely highly recommended, especially during the upcoming cold season when we all need that extra glow boost! The price of $32 (for 1.7oz) is value-for-money since a little of the product goes a long way. SMITH & CULT - Untouched Skin Brightening Foaming Primer 2⃣ The second item that I have been using regularly is an affordable drugstore product – Covergirl Smoothers Lightweight BB Cream. I am using 810 Light To Medium for my tanned Asian skin tone, and this product also comes in two other shades. I am usually a fan of tinted moisturizers as they help to even out my dull skin tone without the heavy-duty ingredients in a foundation. But I do like how the formula helps to deliver all-day hydration and a soft and smooth texture without caking or turning too oily a few hours later – a disaster for my combination skin. The texture is lightweight, and its sheer coverage makes it easy to blend effortlessly with my skin tone to provide some coverage to my eye circles and redness around my nose. Plus, it has broad-spectrum SPF 21 to protect my skin from the sun’s harmful rays. COVERGIRL - Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer BB Cream SPF 21 I will definitely be on a look-out to try more make-up and skincare hybrid products!
