Easy Halloween/Fall Nails 💅🏻
I love this color combination for fall or Halloween. The burnt Orange glitter color is by China Glaze and called Payback’s A Witch. The Black color is by OPI and is called Black Onyx. It took 2 coats of each polish to achieve full coverage. Since neither polish is gel, I used a Gel Top coat by Sally Hansen to achieve the longest lasting look possible. I got both of these at CVS for $9.99 each OPI - OPI Nail Lacquer china glaze - china glaze Nail Lacquer

When did OPI become so lame????
When I was growing up and would go near a place that gave many and peddles, they used OPI products. I tended to avoid it because it is more expensive. But I really wanted some olive green nail polish because I wear that color a lot and decided to buy this. First, this color is not blue; it appears in the photo. Its a dark, iridescent teal green. Still pretty, but not at all the light blue as depicted. But its a pretty color. The purple one is nice, too. However!! 2 coats flaked off after less than a day!! I don't know if it's because it was baking in a warehouse for too long or the actual polish isn't made well. I have never been so disappointed in nail polish before. After three coats of barely-there coverage, it finally started to look like my nails were painted. I put on a topcoat, as I always do, and one day later, the polish had already started chipping. I applied a few more coats, and again, one day later, chipping and wear on the tips. And the polish was not of quality whatsoever. I thought OPI was a high-quality nail polish. This was not. I purchased the third color with the same problem—the polish streaks. There was no smooth application period. What I did get on my nails looked terrible. It was blotchy & I removed it. I was disappointed in light of what I paid. I don't recommend OPI & will not purchase their brand again. I think I'll stick with my much cheaper and more reliable Sally Hansen Miracle Gel or Insta Dry from now on. Just goes to show you that price does not always mean better quality. I will not buy any product from OPI anymore.

My favorite at home “gel” manicure!
I’ve gotten so much better at painting my nails after not going into a salon in months, and this combo of products allows my manicure to last a full 2 weeks. I haven’t ventured into gel polishes that require a UV lamp, but the OPI Infinite Shine formula is the same quality. OPI - Infinite Shine Prostay Primer I had never used a nail primer, or even really a base coat, before trying this one, but I definitely feel like it helps the polish stick to the nail better. I’ve tried the infinite shine polish without the primer and my nails chipped much faster. OPI - Long Lasting Nail Polish Infinite Shine 2 this is the shade “engagement to be” which is described as a pale lilac, but appears more grayish purple in person. It’s a beautiful neutral shade and very glossy. The wide brush helps with easy application, and the formula is thick enough to not run, but still allow for buildable coverage through multiple coats. With this particular shade I use 3 coats, but most of the collection only requires 2 coats Seche - Vite Dry Fast Clear Top Coat Super quick drying but also super chip resistant! Makes my nails super glossy but isn’t thick or gummy at all. My nails dry significantly faster with this top coat than any other I’ve ever tried #cheriepartner

Your nail polish Zodiac ✨
So I decided to have a little fun today and assign zodiac signs to my nail polish collection! It became a little hard when I realized all I owned was every shade of green, a few blues, and a few purples 😂 but we made it work! I’m really huge into the zodiac. I’m an Aries sun, Virgo moon, and Cancer rising. If you know your signs let me know below! Aries - Red and Gold. For this I chose the KL Polish Prince Cornelius as it’s a burnt red base (aka fire sign) with gold and silver suspended glitter. Taurus - Green earth tones. For this I chose Sinful Colors Electric Sage. To me Taurus’ seem chill until you get them to a certain point and they can be just as fiery as Aries. That’s why I choose a sage green with gold suspended glitter. Gemini - Top Coat/Transformer Polish. For this I chose Pacifica Crystal Gloss Top Coat in Milky Way. Just like Gemini’s have two sides this nail polish has two uses. You can use it as a beautiful holographic base coat or double up on layers for a beautiful purple opaque nail polish. Cancer - Grey. For this I chose KL Polish Graham. Most cancers I know in real life (including my ascending sign) are really moody so I chose Grey. Leo - Orange. For this I chose OPI Suzi Needs a Loch-Smith. Leo is a very bold and passionate fire sign. I chose orange for them as this bold color signifies that to me. Virgo - White. For this I chose OPI Alpine Snow. Virgo represents the virgin and white is what I think of. Libra - Gold. For this I chose OPI I Pull the Strings. Libras represent the scales which in my mind have always been gold. Scorpio - Black. For this I chose OPI Black Onyx. I feel like this is super cliche but there is no other sign I feel like black polish represents more than Scorpio (as much as I’d like it to be Aries 😂) Sagittarius - Blue. For this I chose KL Polish Cozy in There. Every Sag in my life is so nurturing, calm, and soothing. This pale denim blue is the most soothing shade I have in my collection. Capricorn - Earth tones. For this I chose OPI Things I’ve Seen in Aber-green. Capricorn is an earth sign so I choose a more brown green shade. Aquarius - Blue/Green shift. For this I chose OPI Nessie Plays Hide & Sea-k. Aquarius is the Water Bearer so naturally a blue green shift with suspended glitter to represent water seemed best. Pisces - Purple. For this I chose KL Polish Mozart. It seemed logical for Pisces to be a blue shade but I felt like it wasn’t quite right for them. Purple is still in the cool family but not stereotypical for a water sign.

🦋🦋🦋I got butterflies on my nails😍
Butterfly nails are a particularly popular style this summer. Many bloggers have been posting pictures of their manicures on Instagram, so I went to the nail salon with the blogger's picture and wanted to do the same. Step 1, clean your hands and trim your nails into a square shape (if you're doing something cute like a fruit manicure, consider a round one). Step 2 apply nail softener and repair dead skin Step 3 apply OPI - Nail Envy Nail Strengthener Original Formula Step 4: Apply cuticle cream and champagne color nail polish twice (usually 2 times for darker colors and 3 times for lighter colors) to illuminate and fix the nail color. Step 5: Stick two butterflies on your ring finger and thumb. Fix them with glue. Why I recommend this manicure: In summer, girls' clothes and colors are mainly white, pink and other fresh colors, which are suitable for butterfly nails. The one I made was about $40, and because of the complexity, remember to choose a professional nail salon. I hope all the girls can wear beautiful skirts, have beautiful nails this summer.

Do u need a base coat before applying nail polish? My answer is...
You know you've wondered: Can I just skip all the extra time and effort it takes to apply base coat when painting my nails at home? Apparently you shouldn't, says celebrity nail designer Patti Yankee. "Just like when you build a house, you need to start with a good foundation — and a base coat is the basis for a long-lasting manicure." Need more proof of why it's really worthwhile? Here, we break down all the benefits. Benefit #1: Base coat makes your manicure last longer. Think of it like double-sided tape for your nails. Along with plasticizers to make them flexible, base coats contain an extra boost of cellulose chemicals to give them "stick," They stick to the nail below and the polish above to prolong the manicure, and allow for enough flexibility to move with the nail as it bends. Without this sticky, elastic surface for the pigment to adhere to, your manicure would chip a lot faster. Benefit #2: Base coats prevent polish from staining your nails. Ever tried that hot new red only to find it left your nails stained yellow? Chances are, you didn't use a base coat, and staining has occurred because of a chemical reaction between the ingredients in the polish (dyes and chemicals) and your nail plates. A base coat is your best defense against staining. It provides a clear protective layer between the nail and the pigment of the polish above. If you're in a pinch and simply must skip the base coat, avoid dark colors and go with natural shades, from sheers to pastels, that aren't as likely to stain your nails. But keep this in mind: when you apply pigment directly to the nail bed, it's especially important to use a high-quality, long-lasting formula. Benefit #3: Base coats can be handy problem-solvers. Some base coats are packed with ingredients to address a number of nail issues, and there are lots on the market to try. Read the labels to decide which one best suits your needs. Have extra dry nails? Choose one that's moisturizing to keep nails in tip-top shape. If the surfaces of your nails are uneven, opt for a base coat with ridge-filling properties. It will provide a thicker base to even out ridges or indentations in the nail before applying the color coat. Just beware of base coats that claim to be nail hardeners. These usually contain a high content of formaldehyde and will temporarily harden your nails, but will later cause them to split and crack easier because they'll become too hard." If you're not plagued with any of these issues (lucky you!), simply look for the same qualities you do in any nail polish. 6One more tip: Resist the urge to use your topcoat as a base coat and vice versa. Generally, a base coat doesn't have the shine of a topcoat, and a topcoat doesn't have the 'sticky' surface that's important in a base coat," says Waldorf. So switching between the two isn't a good idea. OPI - Nail Envy Nail Strengthener Original Formula For me, Best Overall: OPI Natural Nail Base Coat Simple and straightforward, this gets the job done, and done well. It wards off stains—even if you’re sporting dark polish, as noted in many reviews from satisfied users—and ups the longevity of your mani. And while sure, in theory, it should be paired with OPI polish, we’ve mixed and matched it with other brands and had equally good results. I have been converted from Esse to OPI. My friend had a lovely "natural" nail color on her fingers which I admired. She told me the color name DON'T BOSSA NOVA ME AROUND and that she always used OPI and the base "NATURAL NAIL BASE COAT" and following with top coats as well because for years this brand was so dependable in application and color not chipping easily after using top coat. I order all 3 products and was delightfully impressed with the base coat, nail lacquer and finally the top coat. I am an artist working with lots of mixed media and needle/pins/scissors etc which usually wrek havoc on any nail color polish I use so mostly I have used clear. Now I can happily use color when the mood strikes me. The color opaque lacquer needs 2 coats as does most of that type and applies smoothly and dried to a gloss. Recommend this brand.

❓How to know it is time to throw away your nail polish: 5 ways!
Whenever I am in the mood to refresh or declutter my beauty spaces, I always open up my nail polish drawer and check which ones are getting old and dry. My nail polish collection is a tad out of hand. I like painting my own nails, and many of my friends come to me for an at-home mani, so I tend to hoard a lot of polishes.  I always use regular nail polish when I am doing my own nails as opposed to at-home or DIY gel. I leave that to the pros at the salon. Also, the vast majority of my nail polishes collection is by Essie and OPI - if you were wondering! How to know when your polish is expired? Check the package - Like all other beauty products, nail polishes expire. On the back of the bottle, you'll see a small symbol with a number on it - that tells you how long the polish is good for. As a general rule of thumb, nail polishes last about 2 years. It's dry and tacky - When you dip your brush, and a bunch of strings and goopy polish comes out, that means that it's gone dry. If it has a weird smell (besides the typical nail polish scent) - Old nail polish has an even more pungent chemical smell. If it stinks, toss it out! It's discolored - If the color is entirely different now than the day you bought it, the color probably has been compromised. That can happen from heat, sun exposure, or oxidation. It's separating - If you notice a clear demarcation line where the polished separates, it's probably time to go.  Why I Love DIY Nails: For me, painting my nails is relaxing! But it's super annoying when one of my favorite colors becomes too sticky to use. I know it's time to say goodbye to my polishes once the formula isn't like it was when I first purchased it.

Cow Print Tips 🐄
Check out these fun cow print nails I did! I think it's a fun way to keep up with trendy nails without doing too much! I've loved all the cow print nails that I've seen, but I just knew I'd get tired of looking at an entire manicure of them after a few days, this way I still get to try out the trend but add a classic twist with the French tips! I also love neutral nails and the multi colored hand trend going on so I decided to incorporate that in too! Let me know who you think and if you've tried out the cow print nail trend or have used different colors of the same design on each hand! I used KIARA SKY - Sock-Off Gel Polish Colorbase in the color Bare Skin as my base color, OPI - OPI Gel Nail Polish Alpine Snow for the white French tips, and The Gel Bottle Gel Polish in Brunette and Mustard for the cow print spots.

Cuticle Care Tips
This cuticle oil from OPI has completed transformed my nail beds! I struggled with dry and peeling cuticles for years, and now after using this cuticle oil over the past 6 months they have improved tremendously! I discovered this product at Ulta, and decided to give it a try. It is under $10, and lasts a very long time since a little product goes a long way with this. I only use it every couple of weeks whenever I repaint my nails, and it keeps them soft and smooth for a while! You could definitely apply more often or generously depending on your own nails. The applicator is a small brush and I just swipe it over my cuticles, and then lightly massage it in after I’ve filed my nails and before I paint them! #cheriecreator OPI - ProSpa Nail & Cuticle Oil

It seems like I applied nail polish, but actually I didn't!
🧤Cooking and playing piano can’t keep long nails 🧤The nail bed is not long and thin 🧤Don't like doing phototherapy manicure 🧤Nail polish is easy to fall off 🧤Nail polish on short nails doesn't look good The above reasons lead me to find another way to treat my nails. I prefer to remove the dead skin regularly and polish my nails. I bought Mr.Green nail tools. Step 1 Glass nail buffer It is a polishing tool that can polish the desired thickness according to the needs. It can also remove long nails while polishing. After polishing, it seems to be painted with bright oil, and the nails are very clean and shiny. If your nails are not smooth, try this! Step 2 Exfoliating Mainly use the shovel head side, especially for pushing the dead skin of toe nails, which can be easily removed without soaking the dead skin. There is no sharp blade and you don't need to worry about hurting the nails at all. After the toenail is treated, it will be obvious that the nail bed is longer. Step 3 Cuticle trimmer It is used for trimming the edges of the fingers after removing the dead skin. Step 4 Cuticlel oil I use OPI - ProSpa Nail & Cuticle Oil, which smells good. ❗️Not all fingers are suitable for pushing dead skin. Some people don't have enough coverage of fingering, and there is no space to push. Hard push will only cause bleeding.

🤍 how to make your mani last 🤍
with current events, i’m doing my nails more at home than ever before! here’s a couple tips i’ve found to prolong the life of my at-home manicure. 1. tools I use are clippers, cuticle pusher, and cuticle cutter. tbh, I don’t trim my cuticles as often as i did before, i find its better to let them do their own thing. but if you want to, there’s a lot of ways to do so. 2. a HUGE step for me is to make sure there’s no cracks in my brittle nails. if there are, I have to cut down to where that is, if possible. otherwise my nails will bend and break there anyway, causing my manicure to not last. 3. I trim, shape, and buff my nails. 4. I apply my nail polish. ordinarily I’d start with a base coat, but in my recent move I lost mine. I love this shade by essie - Enamel Nail Polish in “east hampton cottage”. i picked it up at tjmaxx and it’s one of my favorite colors ever. 5. top coat is a must! this one by OPI - OPI Top Coat is so shiny and makes my polish look and feel like gel! one layer is plenty. all done!! I also like to finish off with some rosehip oil if I can remember lol. doing my nails at home is really gratifying and I love saving money by achieving my dream manicure myself! 🤍 #cheriecreator #cheriepartner

🙅Don't waste your money on these big brands! Least Favorite Nail Polishes ever!
While I love giving myself a DIY manicure, I’ve had some serious “misses” when it comes to picking out the best nail polish. I generally don’t have any nail problems. They grow pretty quick and don’t break easily, so I don’t have to worry about finding products with strengthening formulas. However, I do enjoy playing around with different colors and trying as many brands as I can.  I’m sharing two of my biggest nail polish flops!  1. The Best-Est Polish by Essie: First, I LOVE Essie polishes usually. I get why they are hyped. However, this shade didn’t work for me at all. It’s a pale grey/purple color in the bottle. I don’t have an issue with the color, it’s the formula that drives me crazy. It’s so hard to work with because it’s so streaky! Essie polishes usually cost around $8, depending where you shop. It has the classic ‘nail polish’ smell, which I don’t really mind to be honest. I’m used to it by now!  2. The OPI Top Coat: I have a love/hate relationship with OPI nail products. I have some colors that I absolutely love and some that I threw right in the trash after one use. Their top coat was a miss for me. I don’t know why but this stuff does not last on my nails! It takes so long to dry and my nails chipped within two days after I used it. The funny thing is that the OPI base coat that works with the top coat is great! I’ll continue to use the base coat but I’ll be passing along this polish. This polish costs $9 and actually doesn’t smell that bad!  Both OPI and Essie are known for being “3-free,” meaning they don't contain possibly toxic ingredients. These polishes are far from being all-natural, but at least it’s something!

Nail polish tips!
Nail polish can be tricky, especially if you do it yourself. Here are some tips to help you get a better finish and longevity. 1. Push back your cuticles with an orange stick. This step will help you get a more smooth finish and also to keep your nails healthy. 2. File and gently buff your nails, by doing so you are preparing your nails and it will help to keep your nail polish looking better for longer. 3. Base and top coat are super important to extend the life of your nails polish. So invest in a good quantity one like OPI - Nail Lacquer Base Coat OPI - OPI Top Coat The are under $15 but excellent 4. Allow a few minutes between layers will make a big difference in the way your nail polish look. Also apply thine layers is always best. I recently try the Sally Hansen - Good. Kind. Pure. Nail Color and I am very impressed, not only because it is VEGAN but because it last longer than other nail polish and it is super affordable, under $10, and you can find them at Walmart and pretty much every where. 5. In order to cut down drying process you should definitely try OPI - Drip Dry Lacquer Drying Drops I highly recommend, it really gets the job done

COLD WATER QUICK-DRY 💅🏼💦
BY FAR THE BEST TIP I HAVE EVER LEARNED...HOW TO QUICKLY DRY YOUR DIY NAILS AT HOME 🤍 All you need is WATER! 💦 After your nails have been painted, wait about two minutes to let the polish set (Don’t forget to apply a base and top coat). I use the OPI - Nail Lacquer Base Coat - it’s so soothing for your nails, I love it! I also use the OPI - OPI Top Coat after I’m done. This top coat allows your polish to stay on for so long!😍 WARM WATER:💧 Dip your nails in warm/hot water for around two minutes. Warm water helps to smooth the polish on your nail ensuring that there aren’t any ridges or bumps or bubbles. COLD WATER:💧 Then, dip your nails into a bowl of ice water for around five minutes. The icy cold water helps push the particles together and solidifies the polish, which dries it. 🧊 Your nails won’t be completely dry at the end of this however, they will be touch dry and will not smudge. 💅🏼 I applied theOPI - OPI Nail Lacquer to my nails. I love this brand as it lasts so long and never chips off! Stick around for more little tips and tricks💙 Paula x

Battle of the top coat pt. 4!
I got this primer and top coat in a set, on sale at Winners for $10! I’m going wearing the essie - Expressie Quick-Dry Nail Polish in “take the expresso” it’s a super deep neutral brown colour. I’ve been super into more nude nail polishes recently. This formula is really good for a quick dry colour, I find that sometimes those chip easier, but this formula doesn’t do that! I ventured away from my favourite base coat to try something new. I find that the OPI - Infinite Shine Prostay Primer is pretty liquidy compared to my tried and true conditioning primer by OPI, which kind of goes along with a learning curve because it went all over my cuticles. Unfortunately I broke a nail this week and had to remove the polish after 5 days. This held up really well for that period of time. Not a whole lot of chipping, some wear at the edges but that’s about it. I’ll have to do a full test of the OPI - Infinite Shine ProStay Gloss Top Coat when my nail grows back 😪 📍= product was sent to me for free

Paint you own nails at home! 💅🏽
Painting your nails solo can be tricky, but here is how do them without any help. 🤩 🔥 using the OPI - OPI Nail Lacquer in “This Cost Me A Mint” ✨ Start with clean & manicured nails: clipped, filed, buffed. Next, using your dominant hand, start with your first or base coat of polish; Start at the cuticle and slowly stroke your way up to the top of the nail bed. Do this until the entire nail is covered. Wait a couple minutes to let the first coat dry and continue until the polish is opaque. You don’t want to use more than 3 coats of polish; the more you use, the longer it will take for your nails to dry. Finish with a fast drying top coat - my current fave is OPI - Rapidry Top Coat and voila! Freshly painted nails 🥳 I usually wait 2-3mins between each coat to let it dry. When I’m all done with the paint job, I’ll take a cuticle stick/pusher with a little cotton soaked in acetone to clean up around the edges. Try to do this throughout the process so that you have less to clean up at the end. 🌟 Favorite brands of polishes to use: OPI - OPI Nail Lacquer essie - Enamel Nail Polish ella+mila - Elite Collection Nail Polish 💛 hope you enjoyed the tips! #CheriePartner

Favorite/Go-To Nail Polish! 💅🏽
When I get my nails done, I can take forever to decide what color I want to get. However, when in doubt, I always end up going back to my neutrals because they never disappoint. 👏🏽 One of my very favorite colors is the OPI - OPI Nail Lacquer in “This Cost Me A Mint” - it’s perfect color for any occasion! It has a green tint to it but can look like a cement-ish color on certain angles. It’s a cool tone shade and can honestly be used in summer, spring, fall & winter. ✨ This color also goes on smoothly and I rarely or never have issues with it streaking of being too clumpy. If I’m getting my nails done professionally, I just bring the color with me and hav the technicians use it. However, if painting my own nails (which I’m sure we all have been doing since being in quarantine) I also like to use the OPI - Rapidry Top Coat so that I don’t have to wait forever for my nails to dry. Also included is a pic of my quarantine manicure that I did! 🌟 I was very proud of this nail job btw 😆 Tell me... what’s your favorite nail color? #CheriePartner 💛
