How I do my nailcare/paint my nails!
I have recently fell in love with nail polish and nail care! I look forward to doing my nails every week. I was a nail biter all my life until this year. I am always focused on strengthening my nails. I’ve been loving Essie’s gel couture line! This nail look is a shimmery champagne color—“Last Nightie” First I always start by doing my cuticles. I never realized how important taking care of your cuticles is and the benefit it does to your overall nail health. I remove my cuticles/push them back once a week using BLUE CROSS - Cuticle Remover This makes removing the cuticles SO easy. Within a few seconds they basically soften up/dissolve so they are easily pushed around the sides of the nail and top of the nail. I use a metal cuticle pusher but I make sure to be extremely gentle when using this! (I got mine from amazon) but this is basically the same thing!ULTA BEAUTY - Cuticle Pusher Next, I file my nails to create a shape I want, then I wash my hands. Finally I use GOLD BOND - Ultimate Intensive Healing Hand Cream and PEACH & LILY - Pure Beam Luxe Oil before painting my nails. Now I apply my base coat and recently I’ve been using#Pink Armor - Nail Gel[products]#[FiveStars] I got mine from amazon. It basically acts as a strengthening bond on your nails. This may not be the best option for nail health, but like I have stated. I needed all the help I could get since my nails were SO flimsy and thin at first. I do think this stuff has helped significantly! Finally I apply 2-3 coats of my polish and apply my gel couture top coat! This polish line is SO good. Happy nail care 💅

🤲🏻H2O+ Targeted Care Hands and Nail Cream🤲🏻
H2O+ - Spa Targeted Care Hand & Nail Cream About me 🤗 and the product 🤲🏻Skin type/skin tone My hands are extremely dry!! 🐫 And with what’s going on right now I am constantly washing my hands which makes it worse 😭 I often have cuts on my hands because they’re so dry and the my cuticles peel sometimes and I often have hangnails! 😱 The skin tone of my hands are semi-pale with a yellowish tint. 🤲🏻Product function The product claims to provide the hands with instant softness using the ingredients shea butter, pro vitamin B5, silk protein, vitamin E, sea fennel, and sea lettuce?! 🤲🏻Texture/consistency The texture and consistency is a super rich and creamy cream. The cream has a light fresh scent that is not too overwhelming which I LOVE. 🤲🏻Packaging The packaging is a standard inverted squeeze bottle with a snap on cap on the bottom and I have never had leakage problems before. Beauty story📖 🤲🏻Overall experience If you read my earlier post on the other H2O products you’ll know my story for buying this product. But recap: A couple of years ago I was super into H2O products (you’ll see a bunch coming up!) so I bought a whole line of their products. I started using this product every. Single. Day after I used it for the first time. I would use it before I go to bed or after washing my hands. A little absolutely goes a long way so although this one is my 4th one, it does lasts a long time!! 🤲🏻Verdict love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Out of all the H2O products that I bought, this is my favorite!!! It is so easily spreadable on the hands and does not leave them feeling sticky slimy. It gets absorbed quickly into the skin and the smell is my absolute favorite smell of all skin care products I have ever used!! 😍😍 🤲🏻Recommend?✅ I would recommend this to everyone! All skin types. It leaves the hands feeling so silky soft and causes absolutely no irritation. 🤲🏻Worth it?💰 Yes Yes yes! I went through so many of these and will buy another one after I finish this one!

Baby blues 🦋
I’ve had a very bad coupe of days, my mental health has just been the worst it’s been in a while so I turned to makeup therapy to cheer myself up, but ended translating my feelings to my eyeshadow 😛 On one of my other makeup looks I mentioned loving one of the Colourpop tie-dye palettes, the truth is I love them all! Such a beautiful pastel collection. For this look I used the COLOURPOP - In a Trance Shadow Palette and the two light blue shades pictured! I also used my beloved e.l.f. - Putty Eye Primer in white to intensify the colors, and also to keep the shadows on my hooded eyes. You guys already know I have very hooded eyes and eyeshadow just tend to get everywhere if I don’t use a good eye primer. I also used the eye brushes from the e.l.f. - e.l.f. xo Nabela Noor Beautifully You Brush Set these brushes are so soft! Elf’s been really killing the game for me lately ⭐️ I felt playful so I also used these cirque colors - Belated Birthday Charms that are meant to be used on nails but I thought it would look so cute to add a little charm to my eyes, I used lash glue to glue them on and I think it’s such a cute, playful look! Also used my favorite mascara at the moment, this #Prosa - Mascara 4 en 1 con Micro Fibras[products]#[FiveStars] is from a Mexican cosmetic brand and it’s so so good! If you haven’t tried Mexican mascaras you’re missing out. If you know what I’m talking about then you’re probably familiar with the By Apple mascara, their Pink & Green mascara is very popular. The Prosa mascara is similar but the brush is much better in my opinion, and this one has micro fibers in it that add so much volume and it holds a curl like no other 🙌 highly recommend! I love doing single eyeshadow eye looks, just applying one or two similar tones to the eye and blending upwards and outwards to diffuse the color, it’s super easy but looks so good in my opinion! I think it’s perfect if you want to play with color but don’t really know what to do, just throw on your favorite color, add a little blush and leave your lips natural and boom, a whole LEWK 💅🏼💗✨ #CheriePartner

My longtime obsession with long nails //PICS!🔪
Yup, I’m that girl clickin & clackin on her phone! Sorrrry💁🏻♀️ 💅🏽💅🏿💅🏼💅🏾💅🏻 I’ve been obsessed with crazy long nails since i was a little kid. I got my first set of acrylics probably sophomore year of high school. I was pretty tomboy in high school even though I wore a lot of makeup, they were pretty annoying at first & the dance companies I was in banned fake nails for shows & even practice. I would get sets occasionally in college, but went to art school & they definitely get in the way with certain processes. ♿️ I got severely injured in 2014, when I was 26, & the cuticle biting habit I’ve always had was sooo bad because I literally had nothing to do all day. I was working as a server in California at the time, so I was definitely not allowed to have fake nails or nail polish of any kind. I ended up returning to acrylics full time after I got injured & I could finally stop biting my cuticles! The nails just look so pretty, I felt less eager to mess with them & the nails are thicker than a natural nail so you can’t pick at your skin (or pop pimples with this length! Plus!) 💔 A combination of moving away from my favorite nail tech, ( TONY I LOVE YOU & OH HOW MISS YOU SO! ) & obviously quarantine, forced me to abandon my long fake nails for now. The damage: Getting full acrylic sets & fills pretty much non-stop for almost 6 years, my real nails were not cute, thin & brittle. I was so lucky to have a very talented & meticulous technician for the last 2 of those years. I honestly never had any of the nasty issues some people can face with acrylics. What are acrylics? Acrylic nails are created by first applying a plastic nail extension with glue to part of your nail to add length. Then a powder & liquid acrylic monomer are combined into a sort of “blob of dough” & shaped onto your nails with a brush & air dried. Next they will be further shaped & smoothed with manual & electric files. A GOOD tech will take about 2 hours, not less. I always chose gel polish that’s cured with a UV light on top of my acrylics, but you can also just do regular nail polish. I worked up to this length- they make me feel like myself, know what I mean? But I wouldn’t recommend starting off long if you aren’t used to it. Your natural nails grow out & then in 2-3 weeks you can get what’s called a “fill”, where your polish is removed & a small amount of the monomer is applied to the base of your nail bed & blended into what you already have on your nail. Quarantine: Had my last real set in February... I ordered long press-ons a few times, which I really loved, but they’re just not the same strength-wise. I was actually kinda rough on my nails & rarely broke them. At least when press-ons pop off, you can just glue it back on instead of rushing to the salon! I’ve had fun trying ones with gems & charms! In the past I stuck to solid colors & glitter with acrylics due to the cost & sitting time. IMO the best press-ons are from black owned business, Hawt Nailz!

How to grow strong nails 💪🏾
📅 november 2020. after seeing @annkrisha's post on cherie, i decided to follow her steps. you can see my progress in a month. 👝 so I bought the gummies and a nail treatment. 🍓 the gummies NATURE'S BOUNTY - Optimal Solutions Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies i took the strawberry cream flavour, because it's made with biotin. 🍊 there's an orange flavor but it's made with collagen. 👩🏾🔬 but what is biotin? it's a water- soluble B vitamin that helps your body convert food into energy. in German, it is called H vitamin. the H stands for "Haar und Haut" which means "hair and skin". 💉 you take 2 gummies per day, a few hours before or after another medication to avoid interactions. they help to support: nail health maintain health of normal hair and skin maintain good health (wound healing, metabolism...). 🤔 in the past, I tried the Centrum - Multi+ Beauty Gummies Natural Cherry, Berry & Orange but I didn't like the taste. I did see some improvement in the nail area though. 💗 the nail treatment: Sally Hansen - Nail Rehab it is an intensive strengthening treatment. "the jasmin, rose and vitamin E formula helps strengthen and protect your nails, instantly fill in ridges and hide imperfections". 🔎 you apply 1 or 2 coats, as needed. after a week, remove and re-apply. you can also use it as a base coat. 🤗 my nails are growing strong! i recommend this. thx for reading! #CheriePartner

HALLOWEEN GHOST NAIL TUTORIAL👻💅🏽
I saw this look on Pinterest with black nails and i thought I would recreate with white nails. I have never done nail art before so this was a challenge for me but here is how I recreated the look: Products used: •beetles Gel Polish - Poly Gel Kit for Nail this kit I prefer because the gels work better and are not as sticky as the next polygel kit. •#Sexy mix - Polygel nail kit[products]#[FourStars] this kit comes with lots of materials to create pretty nails but the polygel is very sticky and sometimes does not harden completely •L.A. Girl - Color Pop Nail Polish this nail polish can be a little bit thick and sticky, so work in thin coats and layer more if necessary •NYC NEW YORK COLOR - Long Wearing Nail Enamel this nail polish is very thin but full coverage so it works well. It dries quickly which is nice •nail filer •small detailed nail brush •gel lamp To recreate the ghost design: •First I applied a thin layer of the polygel base coat to my nail and cured in a UV lamp for 90 seconds •Then I used the clear polygel, slip solution, a nail brush, and a correct-fitting nail form to create a fake nail. I would recommend choosing a form slightly bigger opposed to smaller because you can always file down the excess. Apply a small amount of polygel to the form. Dip the brush into the slip solution so its coated but not damp. Smooth out the polygel in the form so it reaches all of the edges. Make sure there are no bubbles in the gel. •Next, apply the nail form to your finger at a 45 degree angle. Slowly place the gel onto the nail. Do not push the form as it could create the gel to spill out. Cure the nail under the lamp for 90 seconds. •After the nail was cured, I popped the form off and filed my nail into an oval shape. I also filed down the nail so it was thin. This also creates a super shiny coat once the top coat is applied. •Next it was time for the design. I used a very small detailed nail brush I found off of Amazon and the two white and black polishes listed above. I first started off with the ghost’s body. Then I created his little arm. Next I used the black to create the ghosts face. I also created a thin french nail by applying a white line on the top of my nail. Let dry. •Lastly I applied I thin layer of polygel top coat and cured my nail for an additional 90 seconds. And…. there you have it, Halloween ghost nails. 🎶: Elixr by WYS & The Jazz Cafe #CheriePartner

Dashing Diva gel strips 🦇 Halloween edition
Who else is super excited for Halloween? I feel like Halloween is my season. Yes. You heard me. Season. I was super excited when the new DASHING DIVA - DASHING DIVA Gloss Ultra Shine Gel Strips arrived at work. I’ve never used Dashing Diva before (I’ve used Incoco in the past) but it’s a brand customers are constantly coming in and asking for so I decided to give them a try. A packet of gel strips costs $7.99 and you get 34 individual strips (a pack will last you three separate wears with four left over). They claim these gel strips will not dry out, need no UV lamp, last 14 days, and give a super strong wrinkle resistant color. For the most part I’m fairly impressed with these. They come with instructions which are pretty easy to use. I’d say they are very user friendly. You prep the nail by wiping them down with alcohol, peel off the strip gently, and place is on the nail near the cuticle and smooth out. From there you cut off the excess nail strip, fold it down, and file it down with the provided mini file. It took way less time to apply then if I had been painting them. That being said my only issue is the size. All of the strips were a little too small for my nails width wise. I have this ugly gap on the sides where you can see my natural nail. From a distance you can’t really tell but I’m super nit picky so I can tell. I tried to fill it in with nail polish and that ended up making them look worse so I stopped and decided to let the natural nail show. Other than that they look great. They smooth down really easily and I barely see any wrinkles. I think next time I’m going to try a base coat of black underneath and see how that goes. It doesn’t say to do that and says to prep them with alcohol so it’s worth a shot to see if they stick. In general they stick very well to the nail bed. They aren’t going anywhere. But you can still peel them off before you smooth them all over in case the placement at the cuticle is off and you need to readjust. But once you smooth them on they are there. I think I’d use a better nail file in the future as I can still see some over hand of existing nail strip on the tips of my nails but that can easily be fixed. All in all I’m okay with the nail strips. I do think they are worth giving a try. They were super easy to apply I just wish they were a little bigger width wise. I’m going to do a follow up post in two weeks to show how they’ve worn 🖤
