TikTok Beauty Hack: At-Home Manicure
I am the worst at painting my own nails and always end up with sheet marks and unwanted texture whenever I try to give myself a manicure. After years of failing miserably at at-home manicures, I found a TikTok hack that helps nails dry quickly and evenly...and it’s the most simplest thing ever - All you need is a cup of ice water and 30 seconds! First, paint your nails your favorite color with your favorite nail polish. I chose a pretty periwinkle from Sinful Colors and did my best to paint each nail evenly. Next, dip your hand into a cup of ice water for about 20-30 seconds. Don’t touch your nails after they’re out and wait about 5 minutes and voila! Your coat is dried and smooth and ready to go!
Kiss Press On Nail💅🏻
KISS - KISS Jelly Fantasy Jelly Nails Oh this set is amazing! I used this nail set for the first time ever & I’m in love 🥰💖 They are so pretty & easy to work with. It has such a cute blush pink shade that goes with any tone. I have neutral light undertone & thought it would be too pink but it looks so nice. I used file & nail trimmer to shape the nails & it works! No cracks or breaks. It’s actually really sturdy. The one with glitter is a little thicker than the rest of the set but it’s workable✨ I recommend this set for beginners as well. #CherieCreator

this week's gel manicure
I've been doing my own gel manicures for over a year now and this is my favorite set of all time! 🤩 It's inspired by red carnelian - one of the Aries gemstones - and was pretty easy to do! I used three different gel shades: The Gel Bottle - African Sunset The Gel Bottle - Yellow Glass OPI - Funny Bunny The technique is pretty easy, just dot the red and yellow shades around the nail, and then using the milky white swirl them together and around. Once you're happy with it cure!
my latest diy mani! groovy yellow 🐯
If you guys can’t already tell, I’m obsessed with yellow. Here’s how I did this lovely mani! 1. pick your fake nails and lay out the sizes. i always do the sizes first so that glueing them on goes faster. 2. wipe down your nails with an alcohol wipe. this removes natural oil from your nails so that the glue really sticks. 3. pop on your nails! 4. i used two coats of light yellow (the color was a bit sheer so i need two coats). 5. use a toothpick to create the swirl design with a darker yellow. 6. finish with a shiny or matte top coat. That’s all! With a bit of practice, you can do it too!!
Static Nails VS your drugstore nails 💅🏼
Reposting from my personal account but I thought that this would be a good time to make a post on @staticnailsofficial 😙 I’m wearing “super holo” in coffin shape (although I filed them down to more of an almond shape). That being said, they fit small nails like mine and can be filed down easily for a better fit. This is my second time wearing this same set. They’re reusable! I think that’s one of the main reasons why I like them and can justify the price. I went out and bought some press on nails at the drugstore so I could do a more thorough comparison and those are definitely much harder to reuse. Mostly because they’re really difficult to get off without damaging the press on nail. Static Nails comes off easily with warm water, but they’re also a lot more durable and don’t pop off as often. Drugstore nails also end up causing my real nails to lift a lot more. I’ve definitely seen less damage done with Static Nails, although it’s not 0 damage. While drugstore nails usually range about $8-10 and Static Nails are around $16, I’m much more willing to spend the extra money on Static because of their durability and how I’m able to reuse them with no problem. The only issue I’ve come across is losing the pinkie nail of the Peach Fizz set. There was only one nail that could fit my tiny pinkie and I lost it while removing them 😞 My nails use all of the smallest sizes in the set so now I’m just left with a bunch of sizes that are too big and way too big to make work as a pinkie nail. — gifted

💅🏼 Dry Your Nails Quick 💅🏼
I found a beauty hack in Tik Tok under #beautyhacks by @/kelseyvenkov about an easy way to make your nails dry quickly and wanted to try it out! . The purpose of this hack is to obviously dry your nails quicker, so you aren’t stuck just waiting for them to dry or worry about them messing up. All you need is the nail polish of your choice (mine is my alma mater, just graduated in December) and a bowl of cold water with ice. . I painted my nails and then immediately dipped a hand into the little bowl of water with ice and kept them in there for about 30 seconds and then took them out for a few seconds to let them thaw out 😂 then stuck them in again for a little bit longer. I then did another coat and did the same process again. The first time I kept pulling my hand out of the water because it was so cold, but the second time I kept my hand in as long as I could and definitely noticed less bubbling on the second hand. There aren’t many bubbles on the first hand (still less than when I just paint them and air dry), but the second hand has practically none. I definitely think this works, especially if you’re in a rush or are like me and are impatient and hard waiting for them to dry. It easily cut the amount of time it took to paint my nails by half because I didn’t have to wait for the first coat to dry before I went in with the second one. I really recommend this and will now do this every time I paint my nails 💅🏼✅
Prettiest Nail-color Ever 🦋
To me this essie - Nail Polish - Bikini So Teeny is my number one nail polish color and I think it looks fantastic on everyone! It’s the perfect shade of blue and periwinkle! To be exact this shade has been my favorite for a year and change. You see my graduation colors were light blue and black (ayyyee Masters degree 🙌🏼) and I wanted to paint my nails with a pretty color and this was the perfect solution! Not only is Essie recognized as a tremendous nail polish brand but they truly do you last with minimal chipping for a week. I like to top of all my nail colors with Sally Hansen Gel top coat 🌞. A bottle retails for $8.99 and can be found in many local stores (Target, CVS, & Ulta). You are honestly good with two coats but a third one will just make the life of the nail color last longer! Essie has so many shades but I honestly only wear three to four shades all year long. I don’t usually wear acrylic nails so when I go to the salon I only paint them with gel colors. However, with all going on nail polish is the best solution til I am able to get my nails done professionally. Let me know if you have worn this shade before or what you ideal shade is!

Drugstore Surprise: CND Cuticle Oil
I’m such a bad nail biter and always go for my cuticles when they’re super dry. This year, I’ve really been trying to be better about not biting and have found that using a cuticle oil regularly really helps. My fave is CND’s Solar Oil, which is super hydrating and makes it so I have nothing to pick at. I think it’s less than $10 and you can get it at Ulta or Amazon.CND - Solar Oil Nail and Cuticle Conditioner

Quarantine Manicure 💅🏼
Hi my name is Katerina, you may call me Kat and I’m a neutrals girl. I gravitate to anything and everything neutrals. I may have 50 shades of neutral polish in my collection already. But that doesn’t stop me from adding more! I found this pretty shade on amazon during my regular quarantine browse. I never tried the miracle gel line and decided to give it a go. Just so you know I prefer regular polish for myself. I know you may pass judgment but hear me out! I feel like gel and shellac and other long lasting polishes destroy my nails. They become dry, thin, brittle and break easily. I don’t think it’s worth it. So I prefer to experiment with different brands of regular polishes to see which lasts the longest. Also a couple of chips here and there really don’t bother me. This is my 5th time using this product so I feel like I can give an honest review about how I feel about it. The color is called ‘Little Peony #247’🌸It’s a creamy baby pink shade. It almost reminds me of the OLD Essie Fiji color (my favorite shade of all time before they changed it to a darker pink color). It took two coats to get an even distribution of color and dried quickly when topped with Seche Vite top coat. The color started chipping around day five. But before you click away let me tell you that my hands are always in water. I’m a Chef, so I’m always working with my hands. I’m also a clean freak that still gets on her hands and knees to clean the floors from a bucket twice a week. So my hands take a beating on a regular basis and this polish managed to stay intact through the daily torture. If you’re not working this much with your hands I’m pretty sure you can get away with a week of it not chipping. I’m probably going to look into more shade from this collection and see if the Fórmula holds up for all their shades this well. If you’re still a regular polish fan I highly recommend this collection but especially this color because I die over it!
