Is UD’s shadow primer worth it? Wear test!
What are your thoughts on eyeshadow primers? I really only use them when I’m going out to an event. One of my favorites has been the Urban Decay Shadow Primer Potion URBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion . My favorite formula is the anti-aging, but here I am using the original formula. For science! Here is my experience with a side by side comparison and a wear test: Application—8:30 AM: Today is a work day so I’m going to be wearing a face mask for 8+ hours today. This won’t affect my shadow per se, but I decide to go with a simple all over shimmer (the Tarte Chrome Paint in “Top Yacht” tarte - Chrome Paint Shadow Pot) and I first apply the primer potion to only MY RIGHT (like—my right, your left) eye. Upon application the shadow clung way better to my right/primed eye! This is a primer that doesn’t dry down all the way so it makes your shadow POP! It doesn’t sting my eyes or make application any easier. *note: I usually don’t wear mascara. Throughout the day: My eyes are pretty sensitive so there is a chance of my itching them (after washing my hands of course!!) and that affects the wear of the shadow. My non-primed/left eye got pretty itchy but to my surprise, the primed eye didn’t itch AT ALL! Wear test complete—5:30 PM: I get home from work to asses the damage. My eyes look pretty similar TBH! I have less fallout/transfer on my primed eye, but they creased about the same. It looks like this primer doesn’t really help with eyelid oil! It did end up helping with fallout though! Final thoughts: I love this primer! It has been one of my faves for so long. They also have a few other formulas (anti-aging, Eden, Sin) to use with different looks. Urban Decay is cruelty free and this product is bomb so I highly recommend it! Rating: 5/5. This has been a favorite but I’m shocked that it protected my itchy eyes!

Battle of the rose gold lippy
A bonus about finding a great lipstick colour that suits your skin tone is also finding one in a cute rose gold ribbed metal packaging that you can show off when applying to your lips. Chances are, you know exactly what Charlotte Tilbury’s makeup line looks like. These iconic lipsticks are an Instagram staple, with their ridged, rose gold tubes and engraved caps. These lipsticks are a cult trend and because of their luxury look and established high end brand they come with the price tag too. That is until, Makeup Revolution brought out an almost identical looking range at almost ¼ of the price tag - so how do they differ? Charlotte Tilbury - Pillow Talk Diamonds Lip Topper This is the shade Pillow Talk - did you know that there is 1 Pillow Talk Matte Revolution lipstick sold EVERY 2 MINUTES?! Now that’s impressive. This award-winning, nude-pink matte lipstick has everyone talking. I regularly get lots of compliments when I wear this shade too. It’s incredibly flattering and would suit most skin shades. I have a yellow undertone skin colour and am fair to medium. This lipstick is enriched with hydrating orchid extract and stays put all day. It really is my favourite lipstick that I own but for the price I tend to only wear on special occasions. REVOLUTION - Renaissance Lipstick This shade is Prime and it's almost identical to Pillow Talk. It has a creamy enough formula and glides across the lips nice enough. It definitely does not come close to the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick range in quality and the shade doesn't last as long on the lips either. It does however look the part and is a nice colour once first applied. For the price I probably would repurchase again as more of a daily lipstick.

10/10 DANG I LOOK GOOD. Best complexion products
Okay, I know the title drew you in... WELL I’m here to say that it’s absolutely true. This is the best foundation I’ve ever used and I’ve tried A LOT! (I used to work at Sephora, so you can imagine how many I’ve actually tried.) ANYWAY! Skipping to the review. Let me introduce you to Uoma Beauty. Uoma Beauty is a brand making moves that I wish all brands would! Their shade line for complexion products is based on undertone and skin type AND it has a huge shade range. Anyone can find their match and it’s really easy. They have a quiz and you can match another brands shade to one of theirs. Out of the 6 shade groups, I am Honey Honey the olive undertone. I am always looking for a perfect olive undertone foundation, but always seem to fail. Foundations are too orange/yellow or neutral olive and turn grey on me. Uoma Beauty Honey Honey T1 is the spot on perfect warm olive match for me. Each shade group is made with different ingredients to cater to the undertone/skin types reaction to the sun. So mine helps with premature aging, repairing the skin, sebum production, inflammation, and protection from free radicals. Find your foundation match and there is a concealer and contour highlight stick to go with it as well. UOMA BEAUTY - Say What?! Foundation Requires some shaking before use, but expect amazing coverage and finish. + buildable coverage. Light to FULL coverage. + soft matte/natural finish. Not heavy, looks super natural and like skin. + LONG LASTING. I wore this for 12hrs without primer and it stayed put. + has a light scent, but it’s really nice and dissipates. + no oxidation! Doesn’t turn colors. UOMA BEAUTY - Stay Woke Luminous Brightening Concealer This concealer *bleeps* on all my other concealers. + she’s thickk, but creamy and comfy. + little goes a long way. + medium to full coverage. + hydrating! Not heavy. + very long lasting. + not slippery. Stays put. - creases, but what concealer doesn’t? UOMA BEAUTY - Double Take Contour Stick I think we all have problems finding the correct shade to contour. At first I thought this shade was way too dark, but it’s PERFECT. The highlight shade is also perfect for my skin tone. + creamy/ buttery soft texture. + so easy to blend. + very pigmented. Little goes a long way. + highlight is more glossy than shimmery. The whole brand is a hit and my complexion has never looked so good!

NYX vs Urban Decay! Guess Who is the WINNER?
These two eyeshadow palettes have many similar shades. They're both more orangey and brown, suitable for fall and winter use. NYX - Ultimate Shadow Palette's packaging is a light transparent plastic which looks a bit cheap, while URBAN DECAY - Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette's packaging is beautiful and comes with a mirror and eyeshadow brush. NYX has a more solid texture and its metallic shades are not very well pigmented, but the powder doesn't fly everywhere. Urban Decay has a softer and more delicate powder. The metallic shades are well pigmented and highly saturated. From a practicality standpoint, NYX has 16 shades, 7 of them metallic and 9 of them matte. Among them are a few nude shades and eyeliner shades which are sufficient for everyday makeup looks. The Urban Decay palette has 12 shades, 5 of them metallic and 7 of them matte. Basically, NYX has all the shades in the Urban Decay palette and even more, so it's easier to match the shades. Besides, the Urban Decay palette is much more expensive than the NYX palette, so NYX is more suitable for students and beginners. However, if you're looking for better packaging and powder texture, choose Urban Decay instead.

How to treat eye problems
Since I was born, I have had very dark under eyes. It’s been a big insecurity of mine. But now that I know how to treat it I don’t really care anymore. In the mornings I usually wake up with very puffy eyes. So the way I reduce that puffiness is by putting some tea bags under my eyes. This not only works wonders with the puffiness, but it also soothes the skin, so my dark under eyes are less dark and it’s very relaxing. You put the tea bags in a cup of lukewarm water and let it soak a few minutes. Then, lay down and put them in your eyes. Now for the makeup part. First of all I moisturize my face very well. I always apply a primer. And the, using a rather dark color corrector in a reddish shade I apply a very small amount in the area my darkness is the worst. Using a sponge I blend it being very careful I don’t spread the red color too much. I apply my foundation, without putting too much under my eyes. I usually do my whole face and what its left I put it under my eyes. Then, I put my concealer on focusing it in my darkness. Then, blend it using a beauty sponge. And that is how a cover my under eye darkness. For the color correcting I use the L.A girl’s concealer. And for the concealer I use my all-time favorite: the shape tape by Tarte.
Hellllloooo Quarantine Lash Extension Dupe
This mascara has got my lashes longer than all my relationships put together. Kidding but also kinda not? I’m sure I’m not the only one crying without my lash tech during quarantine & instantly started looking for a new mascara. I’ve seen this pop up on my IG for so long & finally took the plunge to try it & the results obv speak for themselves. I’m naturally blonde & have a super light complexion so IMO the blacker the pigment the better when it comes to mascara and this Thrive one does NOT disappoint. It is also a tubing mascara which in laypeople terms means it does some cool science and wraps around your individual lashes in a “tube” form instead of painting them like other mascaras do. This is the real magic of this baby because it DOES 👏🏻NOT 👏🏻BUDGE 👏🏻 but also comes off so easy with nothing but rubbing your eyes warm water. I literally don’t even know what else I could hope for. I felt like it was really important to have a photo of the applicator because it is plastic instead of a normal spoolie and it makes SUCH a difference with separating lashes & ensure no clumps!!! The first time i put it on, 1 swipe and i felt like my extensions were back in action. 2 swipes and i felt like my lashes were reaching up to heaven. 100/10 recommend because the hype is soooo real 😍 thrive causemetics - Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara™ #CherieCreator

Perfect lip trio on-the-go
Hokayyyyy. I think this is the perfect lip trio for any trip (whether it’s just to work or a vacation)! Especially when your strapped for space in your purse / luggage / makeup bag, I like to be strategic and simplify my stash to just three go-to products. And just want to note, I typically opt for a more natural face of makeup. So each of these products are pretty light, glossy and don’t have too much colour. And since I have fairly dry lips, I typically opt for products that will provide me with extra moisture versus matte products that will leave me lips dry. FOR DAY TIME: Glossier. - Balm Dotcom (Rose) + it smells amazing. + the petroleum like texture + doesn’t leave your lips sticky at all. + sleek packaging that you can fit in any bag or even your pocket. - I find your lips need to already be in a good state to use this product consistently. If your lips are cracked or peeling you’ll need something a little more heavy duty. FOR NIGHT TIME AND WHEN LIPS NEED MOISTURE LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask (Grapefruit) + thick and moisturizing formula that will leave your lips feeling plump and nourished the next morning. + smells nice. + this almost looks like a lipgloss when you put it on, it leaves your lips super shiny and doesn’t make them sticky. + this grapefruit one gives your lips a slight pink tint. AND WHEN YOU WANT TO DRESS UP FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer (FU$$Y) + This has the prettiest pink colour that isn’t too overpowering or bright. + such a beautiful formula that is moisturizing, won’t dry out your lips. + this lipgloss instantly makes you lips look plump and dare I say juicy, but also gives you a tiny bit of sparkle. + no sticky lips! + super travel friendly packaging. It’s small enough to fit in almost any pocket or purse, and it’s packaging isn’t too delicate so you can throw in anywhere without worrying about it breaking. The only thing missing.. is a good SPF for the lips. If anyone has any recommendations I’d love to hear them 💋
You could commit theft, this would cover for you
I had seen this concealer lauded on every beauty platform I lurk in, and I have to agree with the hype. It would cover your blemishes and circles if the dewy cops came knocking. It would absolve your sins if you’d been late to church for a year. It would keep those secrets from your mom when it comes to visit during Thanksgiving. Note before continuing: I would call this a medium coverage concealer because it doesn’t banish all bumps and acne scars into another dimension, but it does cover and blend in a natural and yet strong coverage for a $5 concealer. I have peach for dark under eye circles and the light concealer for spots. I put it on and honestly my eyes look so bright it weirded me out. This concealer also layers well. I’m going to be buying this again. So if you see the hype, it’s cause this is so good for a drugstore price!

Get the Chanel Eyeshadow Palette in half price?
The Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette is from Chanel's limited-edition of 2018 summer, the Les Beiges series. I bought shade #Light, it is a five-color palette in-between neutral and cool tone based on violet and pink, and they all come with fine, shimmery gleams. The five-color palette is convenient because it packs up all you need for a complete eye makeup from base to highlight to shadow, and you won’tget lost wonderingwhat colors to pick like when you are dealing with a large palette. I would pave the light pink over my eye lid as the base color, then use light violet and medium violet together to adds depth to canthus. The creampearl is the highlight and can really add the glow. Sometimes I would replace it with the olive-gold and would also apply it on my lower eyelid to magnify my eyes. Can’t find the Healthy Glow Palette anymore? Don’t worry! EXCEL's Real Clothes Shadow palette in shade #CS04 is a substitution for similar effects and quality but from a more accessible drugstore brand. The general tone is in pinkish violet that’s basically the same with CHANEL, but even cooler because it does not contain a warm shade like CHANEL. Besides, the highlight in this palette is in a cooler pearl white. I would recommend this palette for people with light complexion. Otherwise, the shimmery colors might make your eyes look puffy. But I am very satisfied with its texture, low price buthigh quality, long-lasting, and stick on your eyes after a whole day. Easily to be blended out. The CHANEL Healthy Glow Palette is not available now, if you are obsessed with it, CS04 can be an eligible candidate for a replacement!

Did Rare Beauty win?
Skin type: Oily skin Skin concern: Large pores I recently bought Rare Beauty foundation becase it was so popular on the Internet. At the begining of the year, I bought the Wet n Wild new foundation, so here I am going to try these two foundations to see how they perform on my face. Left side: Rare beauty Weightless Foundation - It is a weightless foundation with concentrated pigment that feels barely while providing buildable medium to full coverage with a natural finish. More importantly, it is vegan and cruelty-free. Right side: Wet n Wild Dewy Photo Focus Foundation - It is currently on sale on Ulta for only 4 dollars! It is a weightless and super nourishing foundation, delivering a natural all-day wear. It has a silky and creamy coverage which is easily buildable from medium to full coverage. It helps to minimize the pores on my face, giving a dewy, smooth and perfect finish! Finish: These two foundations have the same coverage on my face after application. But the Wet n Wild side is dewier than the rare beauty side. To my surprise, they both perform well in my under eye area and both provide a flawless base. Five hours later: The rare beauty side still provides a poreless look while on the wet n wild side, the texture seems poorish. Other than that I feel like they are very similar and they are both breathable on my face. All in all, I think they're both good and rare beauty is a better choice for oily skin compared with wet n wild. If you want to find a dupe for rare beauty foundation, I think wet n wild is a good choice!
