THOUGHTS ON OLAPLEX SHAMPOO
OLAPLEX - No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo I’ve been using this product for a year and a half or so. Here are my thoughts on this product: OVERALL OPINION: I have very dark thick curly hair. I got it highlighted a lighter honey blonde color about 6 years ago, and my hair texture has never been the same. It became very course, had so much breakage, and had lost its overall shine. It did not look healthy or feel healthy & I’ve tried so many different shampoos & treatments to try to address all my problems: Paul Mitchell, OGX, Redken, and a few others. Nothing helped. After hearing so many good things about Olaplex as a brand, I decided to try it out for myself. Best hair decision I’ve ever made. I no longer have any breakage [or at least no where near what I had before]. My hair feels and looks healthy. I’m very happy to have discovered this product. USE: I use this every time I wash my hair [about once a week]. It does lather a bit, and a little goes a long way. SCIENCE: Olaplex products contain a compound called bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate, which is meant to reconnect disulfide sulfur bonds in the hair. Disulfide bonds are basically two sulfur atoms that link two proteins together. This link determines your hair’s shape & strength,& when that link is damaged with coloring or bleaching, you experience breakage, dullness, etc. This is why Olaplex is marketed as a brand for people with damaged hair due to coloring treatments! The compound mentioned above helps form artificial bonds between the sulfur atoms in your hair, creating an artificial bridge that allows the hair to repair itself through the new disulfide link that is formed. So, this ingredient is what makes Olaplex a brand that is known for bond maintainence & restoration. VALUE: $28 at Sephora for the full size. I’ve spent so much money trying out other [cheaper] brands that didn’t do anything for me. This does all that I need it to & more, so I’m willing to spend that $28. Also, each bottle lasts me about 5 months [washing once a week] so I get a reasonable amount of product for what I’m paying for. I can’t wait to try out more products from this brand, but for now this shampoo satisfies all my hair needs!

How to maintain Healthy Glory Hair
KÉRASTASE - Elixir Ultime Oil Serum SIZE: 3.4 oz/ 100 mL $62.00 CAD This is basically one of my holy grail products. KÉRASTASE hair oil is perfect for all hair hair types: straight, wavy, curly and coily that can be used before, during, and post blow dry for hair that’s super-shiny, hydrated, and healthy-looking. I am impressed by the smell and feeling. One thing I really like about this is the smell; it does becomes less potent after time though. It leaves my hair so soft, tangle free and smells good. Leaves a bit of shine too. It is oil texture but very light weighted. Highlighted ingredients are Maize Oil: Procaxi Oil; Argan Oil and Camellia Oil which adds suppleness and softness to your hair. It not only smooths and shine the hair but also nourishes at the same time. It’s more light a hair serum. I se this on my ends before drying/styling and i use it to keep frizz down when i wear my hair naturally curly/air dried. my hair is shiny and less frizzy, more manageable. I will be buying this again. Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Cream SIZE 4 oz/ 118 mL $30CAD I absolutely love this hair product! Leaves my hair feeling soft and moisturized and smells great! It is creamy texture with the lightweight finishing formula Infused with a Briogeo signature oil that smooths hair, enhances shine, tames frizz, and heat protects. The main formula is Rosehip Oil, Argan Oil and Coconut oil that protects hair from free-radical damages and extensive conditioning. I put it on my dry hair, especially after I use a flat iron. For about 10-15 minutes. Sometimes I applied this product and it blew out soft, smooth, and incredibly shiny. Now I used it on wet hair whether it is blown dry or dries naturally. I feel that it helps deter frizz and combat dryness against breakage, environmental impurities and excess heat. Overall this product gives my hair a great shine boost, and added moisture to my dry ends and does a fantastic job of protecting my hair from my blow dryer and curling iron. Recommend this to girls who uses irons frequently like me!

Battle of the Tools: T-Shirt vs Hair Dryer 🖤
I’ve always had frizzy, wavy (it used to be a lot curlier but heat damage changed that 🤷🏻♀️), and unmanageable hair. I’m always willing to try new things to help make it a little easier to style day to day. I decided to do a battle of the beauty tools and test out the REVLON - One-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer vs a cotton t-shirt to see which dried my hair better (with less damage and frizz)! The Revlon blow dryer claims to give volume and shine in one step all while creating less frizz. They say the way the oval brush is designed it distributes the hot air in a way to dry your hair faster while creating less damage. It costs $59.99 but you can get it on sale on occasion. When I use this I part my hair in sections (like I do in the second slide), put the brush on the underside on the hair, and pull outwards. This has made blow drying my hair so easy! I have super thick hair and this makes it look super sleek like someone did it for me. I think the only cons are it’s very loud and can get a little heavy once I get towards the last section of my hair. That being said though it has three settings (low, high, and cool) and does give insane volume! I wouldn’t say it’s frizz free because my hair does have some frizz but the volume it gives me is unparalleled to any other product I have. The cotton t-shirt is a curly girl hack I’ve seen that’s supposed to dry your hair faster with less damage and frizz. This one is really easy because you probably already have a t-shirt in your own closet. I just ran to mine and grabbed the first one I saw. After washing I just took the t-shirt and gently squeezed my hair to get out excess water. I liked the fact it did create less damage on my hair because the t-shirt doesn’t have the grooves a towel would which can aggravate the hair. When I woke up in the morning it was a lot less frizzy than when I did the Revlon (third slide). That being said though it did give me less volume and more of a bed head look that would need additional styling afterwards. I think in the future I would use both but for different situations. I would use the revlon if I needed more volume and a more polished/styled look. I would do the cotton t shirt if I was looking to embrace more of my natural wave. While the revlon gave me beautiful volume and a sleek look it did come with frizz and some heat damage. The cotton t-shirt gave me less frizz and zero heat damage but it didn’t give me anymore volume than I normally have and left me with some bed head. I think in this case manual vs electronic all depends on which look you’re going for. Both are approved by me. If you’re looking for a good hair dryer as well I highly recommend the Revlon!

Hair addiction - Moroccanoil treatment
You must have heard about Moroccanoil treatment; it’s probably among the most popular hair products in the world. If you travel by plane to Europe, it’s impossible not to have noticed it in every hair studio in airports. I got my first bottle of Moroccanoil in Milan (the airport, yes!), and I was so excited the first time I tried it, I could barely wait to get home. The smell is out of this world, absolutely lush and rich. However, the first couple of times I used it, I was left slightly disappointed. The treatment seemed to make my hair way too soft, and it got greasy, I’d have to wash it again the next day to look clean. I had to put my (big) bottle away, and it stayed away for more than half a year until my hairstylist brought up Moroccanoil in a conversation. I told her my experience with the product, and she advised me to use just two drops of treatment (literally two drops) and never apply it close to the roots. Since I tried this, I couldn’t be more in love with Moroccanoil! After the first few weeks of regular use, my hair became luscious, with a fantastic shine. There’s practically no frizz, which for me, is like a miracle in itself, and it looks like it improved my hair quality a bit. I apply it after washing my hair, on damp hair. If I go a long time (more like three days) without washing my hair, I reapply the treatment, but only on the ends, I feel like I get less split ends since I’ve started using it this way. My hair looks healthy, and it has this glow I absolutely adore. More than this, even if it’s not on the cheap side, the treatment lasts forever, especially if you get the 100 ml bottle as I did. I’m totally hooked up on Moroccanoil now, wouldn’t use other leave-in treatments on my hair ever again!
R+Co Centerpiece Elixir Review
First of all, packaging, totally up my alley! This is a single product that claims to do it all: detangle, fight frizz, hydrate, and repair! I love using this at night as a leave-in product. It smells so warm and when I wake up in the morning, my hair feels so soft, smooth, and silky. It also says that this could be used to refresh second-day hair. I have recently got a new dry shampoo so I might try this on second-day hair. I love the spray on this bottle. It sprays very evenly and so easily! It also covers a wide area as well 🙌🏻 10/10 recommend. *gifted but reviews are my own R+Co - Centerpiece All-in-One Elixir Spray

Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer
This changed my life. My normal blow drying routine: 1. Start off well with a brush and a blow dryer following normal hair drying procedure. 2. My arms start to get tired and I am starting to get sick of trying to figure out how to twist my hands, twist the hair dryer, get the cord out of my face, which hand to hold which tool, and why I decided to blow dry my hair in the first place. 3. Get impatient, give up, flip my head upside down and blow dry while tousling my hair with my fingers. 4. Flip my head back up properly, look at the super poof and frizzy mess I have just created, and then wonder why I spent all that time trying to blow dry my hair when it would have looked like this (except less straight) if I had just let it air dry. If I could give this product more than 5 stars I would! Not only does this brush cut my drying time in half but it’s just so easy to use - one tool which does both the brushing and the drying. Pure genius! My hair has always been naturally frizzy and poofy and somewhere between straight and curly in a non flattering way (thanks mom and dad) but this makes it smooth while still giving me the volume I want so I don’t look like my hair is stuck to my head. Truly a salon blowout without spending the time or money at a salon. 10/10 would recommend. Super easy to use with my hair length. I have tried using it on other people with long hair and it still worked great but I have yet to try it on myself with long hair (but judging what I have heard and read it works just fine). It has 2 heat settings and a cool air setting. Normally I use the low setting as the high can get a little too hot my my scalp and fingers but the low setting works perfectly so long as you’re hair isn’t still dripping wet. Edit: the blurring around my head isn’t from me trying to edit out the frizz, it’s from the portrait mode on the iPhone camera 🙂

Velcro rollers for a long lasting blow out!
My hair is long so blowing out my hair is an arm workout!! When I’m in a rush, being lazy, or when I want to just make styling my hair that much easier, I use this method. I rough blow dry my hair and curl just the ends with a 2 inch curling iron. This gives me the look of a blow out without the effort. My hair doesn’t take to curls too easily, they usually end I’m falling. Especially when I do large curls. So I like to set the curls with #Kitsch - Velcro rollers[products]#[FiveStars] It helps the flip last all week and I achieve a blow out look with minimal effort!
