My most recent E.l.f Haul
My current makeup and skin care collection is VERY busy. I keep buying different things because I like the way they look, others reviews, or I’m bored. But I’m trying to bring my collection down to maybe one brand or two, depending on what product I like from a specific company. I’ve always loved E.l.f products, but was always under the impression that high end products were it. No! There are some high end products that I will probably continue to use because they work for my skin. My go to look right now, is natural, pretty, glowy skin :) with minimal concealer and powder/bronzer and blush. After I use up all my other products, these are going to be my go to products for that look! I have used some of these before and tested some new purchases☺️ e.l.f. - Supertone Toner-only used once. Did not burn when tested. Anything that helps brighten my skin is up my alley:) e.l.f. - Hydrating Coconut Mist-Have not used yet e.l.f. - Elf+ Glow Dewy Mist-Used once, good mist and smells delicious☺️ e.l.f. - Glow Radiant Moisturizer SPF 15- This is a great glowy moisturizer. It smells like you’re about to spend a day on the beach. It has SPF which is great. Product did not feel greasy. e.l.f. - Beautifully Bare Natural Glow Face Palette- Have not tried yet. But the tones look beautiful and natural. I wish they had a beautifully bare palette that compliments our deeper complexion beauties. Hopefully they come out with one 💕 e.l.f. - e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator- I have this in Brown Sugar. Great lip prep. Tastes good, but I wouldn’t eat it🤣 e.l.f. - Superbrighten Peel Pads- have not tried yet e.l.f. - CBD Facial Oil-This oil smells really good and feels good on the skin. You will have to adjust the amount that suits your skin type. I would not overload this product on as it is an oil. Those with more oily skin would probably benefit from using it as a night time treatment instead of a daytime routine. e.l.f. - Beautifully Bare Natural Glow Lotion - Great lotion for a little extra glow e.l.f. - Smooth & Set Eye Powder-Used once. Looked nice. Did not look too powdery. e.l.f. - Illuminating Eye Cream- Have not used yet. Still have some other products I’m trying to use up. e.l.f. - Glow Primer Stick- This primer stick gives a cool feeling as you apply. Feels great around the under eye area. Not sticky or greasy. e.l.f. - Calm Balm-Feels great on the lips. Nice, smooth balm. e.l.f. - HD Lifting Concealer-This concealer is very lightweight and luminous. It does not feel like anything on my skin :) The shade range is HORRIBLE. But if you are able to make it work I say go for it. The 16hr camo concealers have a much better shade range, but they are just a little too much for my liking at the moment. e.l.f. - Line & Define Eye Tape- Have not tried yet. No reason to do my eye makeup right now 😩

Cute and Simple Graduation Makeup 👩🏾‍🎓💄
Hey Y’all so today I’m showing you guys a cute graduation makeup look! I wanted something simple as I am a very simple girl lol I love having a simple look that still looks really nice. I have combo sensitive skin and my skin tone medium/Deep. The products I used are : Face: - Concealer: MAYBELLINE - FaceStudio Master Conceal - Foundation: DIY tinted moisturizer (Trader Joe’s aloe Vera gel moisturizer/ drop of nyx total drop foundation) Eyes: - NYX - Pigment Primer - NYX - Matte Liquid Liner - COLOURPOP - Perception - BLACK RADIANCE - True Complexion Contour Palette in the color sculpt: I love this contour palette! When I first started learning makeup basics this palette was my go to! I still use it sometimes for different things. I mostly use the medium to Dark palette because it fits my skin tone better especially in the summer! I love the highlighters in these palettes as well. Definitely a good guide to people learning how to contour. The powders are pigmented as well and have multiple uses! Lips: - COLOURPOP - So Juicy Plumping Gloss in the color She’s Here Steps: - Take your nyx primer and apply it to both eyelids - Take a fluffy eyeshadow brush and blend out the color Culture from perception Shayla x Colourpop collab. - Next take sculpt color form the Black radiance contour palette and pack it on top of your eyelid. - Take the concealer and clean up your brows under your arch and around your brow bone to make your eyebrows sharp and clean. (I don’t fill in my eyebrows but I like how the concealer accentuates them) - After that take your DIY tinted moisturizer (or foundation) and apply it to your face. - Next take a concealer and conceal under your eyes. Use just a little and blend it out. - After that take your setting spray and spray it all over your face. - Lastly take the So Juicy lip gloss and apply it to your lips and That’s all! Now you’re ready to walk across that stage! Super simple and easy makeup look. BESOS 😘

Hate it? Don’t toss it! Repurpose it!
We ♥️ trying new products, new brands, and new ingredients. Raise your hand if you had NEVER even heard of Cica until last year 🤚 Not everything can make it’s way into your starting lineup though. I’m looking at you MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater So what do you do with all the products that just don’t work for you? Here’s some ideas for recycling your beauty products 💡 Got some facial cleansers you didn’t love? Use them as a manicure/pedicure soak 💅 Let your partner or the teenagers in your life try them Try em out as brush cleanser If they are moisturizing/foaming they might work for shaving Scrubs/exfoliants you don’t want on your face? Use them as hand/foot scrub 🦶 Scrub up those knees and elbows Smooth your booty 🍑 Got some oils that didn’t make the cut? Soften up your knees and elbows Mix some with your body lotion to make it extra rich then slather it all over 🦵 Use it for cuticle oil, any oil works! If it’s cleansing oil try using it to clean your makeup brushes 🖌 Face masks you don’t like? If they are moisturizing they are perfect to soften feet, knees, and elbows Mud masks are perfect to help with buttne or backne! Toners have witch hazel or alcohol? Pop them in the fridge and use as a cooling body spray in the summer ☀️ Bronzer just not your shade? Mix it with lotion for sexy evening body shimmer If all else fails or your skin was sensitive to the product you can always gift to a friend/teen - my daughter and her friends always LOVED to get a bag of my cast offs when she was younger OR find a freecycle/random acts of kindness group OR a women’s shelter in your area to offer it to! What else do you do to recycle your unwanted products?? 💙

centella asciatica + spironolactone = 🥰
it’s been a minute! here’s an update on my skin, picture on the left was taken during my peak worst skin of 2020 (June) and now (December). Between now and then, it’s been mainly credited to patience, attempting to pick my skin less, simplifying my routine, and a few amazing products that my skin just seems to really agree with. here’s my routine: Morning/Day: Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser This amazing aloe / glycerine/ squalane moisturizer that I get from a local aesthetician. Linking here! It is SO light and doesn’t clog skin but moisturizers super well. I go thru this like crazy. 10/10 https://www.smartcosmeticstudio.com/shop/exzit-moisture TULA SKINCARE - Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm Night: Same routine but adding: COSRX - Centella Blemish Cream I literally would be LOST without this product. I use it over moisturizer- it’s pretty thick and probably should be used as a spot treatment, but I cover my face lightly in it. I found it’s been amazing for acne scars, healing, lightening, and soothing redness. Nexcare - Nexcare Acne Blemish Cover Amazing and so cheap on amazon Or... PanOxyl - PM Overnight Spot Patches love these but a little more expensive. I have that on in my picture on the right! I’m also on 100mg/ day of Spironolactone for about 6mo as prescribed by my Dermatologist. I recommend this as an alternative if no over the counter products are helping, it took a while to start working but saves me from the horrible and painful under skin pimples which would probably be convering my face if I weren’t taking this! 🤍

mask friendly makeup look ⚡️
hi everyone! i have been trying to wear less makeup because - 1. you can’t see half of your face wearing a mask and 2. to help my skin heal (hopefully). with this being said, i find it hard to make a quick makeup look pop if you don’t want to do a full eye look. i have been loving adding a fun color on my bottom lash line and i think purple makes green eyes stand out the most! i think it’s a really easy way to make your makeup look more put together. i still feel crazy only doing half a face of makeup but that is the sign of the times right now 🤷🏼‍♀️ for this look, i just used a little concealer under my eyes and in between my brows, filled in my brows a little, blended some purple under my lash line and added mascara! super simple but i think it’s still super cute :)

MY FAVORITE CREAM BLUSHES!!
I absolutely love cream blushes and these are definitely my favorites!! REVLON - Insta-Blush I have this product in the color candy kiss but it also comes in many different colors too! It is very easy to apply and it doesn’t even leave a sticky or very moist texture. It is also very affordable, ( I got it at target just in case you were wondering). But I might have to say the MORPHE - Morphe X Maddie Ziegler Peach That Pops Lip & Cheek Duo might be better. MORPHE - Morphe X Maddie Ziegler Peach That Pops Lip & Cheek Duo I am OBSESSED with this product!! This is my go to blush and I also think it is very affordable and long lasting. I looooove the texture of it and think it is very buildable. The product also gives off a nice summer sunburnt look. You can also put this blush on your lips for a pop of color! Speaking of color, it comes with the peach pucker lip gloss, I am obsessed with the lip gloss too and I think this duo was very affordable knowing it’s from morphe and comes with two amazing products by the one and only Maddie Ziegler.

Spring inspired subtle eye look 🌿
Sometimes I like to play with makeup and see what I can create. I’m somewhat new to eyeshadow and playing with color. Bold bright colors are not something I’m comfortable with so I wanted to experiment with them. I’d say I’m getting a little bit better, and will continue to do fun looks. I used a little bit of the glossier concealer to hide my red/veiny under eyes, and used a sponge to blend it out. Glossier. - Stretch Concealer I got my violet voss essentials palette and used the shade “emerald” a glittery deep green color as eyeliner on my top lash. I’m glad this palette doesn’t have too much fall out. The color is pretty pigmented as you can see. Violet Voss - Essentials Eye Shadow Palette I wanted to draw a curved line above my crease so I used my essence eyeliner pen in “young & free” a pastel yellow. I also used this to place a couple lines below my bottom lash line. It’s a really pretty color and easy to use. The tip is thin, sometimes you gotta apply a bit of pressure but it’s no big deal. Super affordable too. essence - essence Eyeliner Pen I used the it cosmetics brow powder in universal taupe. I used a really light hand cause I want the natural brow look. it Cosmetics - Brow Power Micro Universal Defining Eyebrow Pencil For lashes I used the tarte lights camera lashes mascara. I really like this. It doesn’t leave my lashes clumpy and the brush is nice. tarte - Sugar Rush Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara Last but not least for lips I used the morphe x Maddie ziegler lip gloss in “peach pucker” a very slightly peachy clear gloss and on top I put a tiny bit of glossier balm dot com in cherry to give my lips a little more tint. MORPHE - Morphe X Maddie Ziegler Peach That Pops Lip & Cheek Duo Glossier. - Balm Dotcom

Mini ulta haul with product tryouts!
I had a few Ulta gift cards burning a hole in my pocket so I decided to get a few new items to try out. The first item I’ve been dying to try is URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray I wanted to see if it’s worth the hype/price tag. I like this product, but I’d like to use it a few more times. I’m going to do another post next month comparing several different setting sprays to see how the compare. The next item I used is the MILANI - Cheek Kiss Blush in shade cheeky coral. I like the shade and it wears nicely. But I did have to layer it to get the color payoff I was looking for. I also got another cult favorite, PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer I absolutely love this product. I love the texture, the smell, the finish. It’s all great, absolutely worth the price. And the last is another eye shadow pallet from profusion! #Profusion Cosmetics - Starlet palette[products]#[FourStars] I love this palette, although the shimmer shades need a wet brush to be impactful. What other make up productions would you like to try out?

Christmas Day Makeup!
CLINIQUE - Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Foundation tarte - Shape Tape Concealer 16N Too Faced - Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eyeshadow Primer PAT McGRATH LABS - Celestial Divinity Luxe Quad Some scratchiness and it was hard to blend plus fall out. But the color payoff is terrific and the duochrome is gorgeous in person. PAT McGRATH LABS - Dark Star Volumizing Mascara OG HG. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer in Light. Blends well and goes on smoothly! DIOR - BACKSTAGE Glow Face Palette Hard to pick up with my brush. Doesn’t layer well over bronzer. Ended up looking muddy. ILIA - Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil in Saint. I love this formula. The right amount of shine, wears well and is buildable without being gloopy. Earrings via IndigenousIntentions @ Etsy.

BEST mascara for straight lashes 🤩💕
I have straight, thin, long Asian lashes that need volume + curl + length, so it’s pretty much impossible for me to find a mascara that I like. I use a Shu Uemura or Kevyn Aucoin lash curler to curl my lashes first - these two lash curlers have been the best performing for me, since they fit Asian eyelids pretty well! L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara - this mascara is supposed to be a dupe for TF Better Than Sex Mascara, and I actually like it better! I’ve used both the waterproof and the regular one, and it’s kept my straight lashes curled. I like drier formulas, and this is definitely one of those - no flaking and curl is held all day, BUT it does get a bit clumpy. if you’re into clumpy lashes (I am, honestly), you might like this one because it does build volume and length. benefit - Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara - this is probably my favorite high end mascara because it actually lengthens, volumizes, and retains my curl. I usually don’t believe that high end mascara is worth it, but I would repurchase this one if I was splurging on myself! benefit - They're Real! Mascara - this is a very ordinary mascara and performs really closely to the original L’Oreal Voluminous line, in my opinion. nothing to write home about - didn’t hold up my curl, no significant length or volume. Heroine Mascara - this mascara is INTENSE. it holds my curl super well and gives me some length and volume, but is IMPOSSIBLE to take off. it took about ~3 days for me to completely clean this mascara off with oil-based remover, so if you have really straight and thin lashes, this may be a great option, but do note it’s difficult to remove. Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara - I actually despise this mascara because it’s super wet, then gets super dry in the tube really quickly. this is one of the few mascaras that flaked on me, didn’t hold a curl, and just didn’t look good immediately after application. I got a free one and wouldn’t repurchase. L'ORÉAL - Telescopic Waterproof Mascara - my holy grail since middle school! I use the waterproof one and it holds my curl, lengthens, and volumizes (with extra coats) better than any other mascara has. every time I stray from this mascara, I find myself coming back because it’s just that good. I find it’s the right wet/dry ratio that I love. would totally recommend this for all lash types, whether you have straight, curled, thick, thin, or short lashes! overall, my top two picks would be the L’Oreal telescopic mascara and the L’Oreal lash paradise. I wouldn’t spend too much money on mascara and would instead invest in a great eyelash curler, since they can last you for years. drugstore products are always my favorite, so if you have any recs I’d love to hear them!

Dewy and flash- friendly Natural Makeup
I’ve always loved fuss free and natural looks so im sharing my go-to no makeup look that you can do when you’re on the go but still want to look purrty🍭 it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+ one of my fave natural bases as it has no flashbacks, and decent dewy coverage, long-lasting on my oily skin and has spf50! Loving the pump bottle too which is mess- free and travel- friendly. benefit - Benefit Tinted Cheek & Lip Stain i love this color on my medium skin tone and its very long lasting too very apt for mask- wearing times as they won’t rub off easily and this stays rain or shine. A tiny dot goes a loong way too and i use this for my lips and cheeks. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade i lightly dip my brush for that natural look on the brows and top it with.. PATRICK TA - Major Brow Shaping Wax i could see why this is a hyped product and it stays a long time too. Only con is you need to find the technique that works for you especially on how wet the brush should be to scrape the wax off and deposit the right amount on the brows. innisfree - No Sebum Mineral Powder i use this to set my makeup and seal my undereye concealer. It also doubles as a dry shampoo! L'ORÉAL - Telescopic Waterproof Mascara i see why this mascara is very praised and it’s because it stays on when you want it on and gives that covetable lashes for dayzzz NYX - NYX Retractable Eyeliner i use the beigey color to open up the eyes by putting it on the water line. It glides on well and stays put i have no complaints.. MAC - MAC Eyeshadow in cork. I use this for the nose line and as bronzer on the go. I love that it’s matte and taupey and also long- lasting with the packaging perfect for travel. NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer i use this as my undereye and blemish concealer. For the undereyes, i smudge a little peach cream blush, usually NARS - The Multiple in Siam. Just a litttttllle bit to serve as corrector before the concealer. This also avoids the reverse raccoon 👀 MAC - MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Finishing Mist this serves both as my priming and finishing spray and i love that it serves its purpose but yet to find a cheaper alternative because im aware that there may be a nice dupe out there.. 🤔 Thats it! Excited to know your no makeup go-tos too!🍬

Battle of e.l.f. Brow Gels!
Battle of e.l.f. Brow Gels!
In this post I’m featuring three different e.l.f. brow gels: - Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint Brow Gel in Clear - Wow Brow - Clear Brow and Lash Mascara The sheer tint brow gel is my favorite of all of them. The super thin brush is amazing to shape my brows and make sure I can be precise with the gel. It holds well without feeling crunchy when it dries down. I use it every day for my brows, and I repurchase regularly. The Wow Brow is a new product that I’ve just tried. It has fibers to make your brows looks fuller and fluffier, and pigment to help define. Unfortunately, this didn’t work well for me personally. If you’re like me, and your natural brows aren’t already perfectly shaped, you’ll still need to do quite a bit of filling in and concealing around the edges. It definitely delivered on the fluffy part though, so if your brows are well-shaped and you just want some volume and fullness, I recommend! The Brow and Lash Mascara actually used to be in my daily routine until I moved on to the Beautifully Bare version. I am not a mascara person, so I can’t say how it holds up on lashes, but the hold on my brows was amazing! The brush size is the only thing that really makes a different between the two clear gels, but if it doesn’t matter to you, this version is only $2 a pop and I would absolutely recommend it.

Simple Summer Look from Ulta
Simple Summer Look from Ulta
Quick warning: I’m terrible at taking selfies. And regular pictures. 🤷🏽‍♀️ So all of these except the Dew You are new. I bought them at Ulta today and immediately put them on in my car. These are my first impressions, and Dew You is still pretty new, so I’ll review that too. Too Faced - Tutti Frutti Dew You Fresh Glow Luminous Face Primer This is a great stand-alone face product! I’ve also worn it under makeup, but I love it as-is as well. It makes my skin glowy, like an all-over highlighter. And it smells like watermelon. 🍉 my only complaint is it makes my face feel a leeeeeetle greasy. I wouldn’t recommend this for those with oily skin. NYX - Born to Glow Radiant Concealer I spotted this on my way up to the register because I was feeling self-conscious about my under eye lines. I had trouble deciding between this shade (7 - Natural) and one shade darker (7.5 - Soft Beige), but after blending it, I think I made the right choice. I like the sponge applicator, but I could be more frugal with how much product I use in the future. Lano - Rose Gold 101 Ointment Lip & Cheek Tint Another “on my way to the register” pick up. I was a little nervous to try this shade because it looks red on the package, but it actually turned out perfect. I love the deep pink on my skin, and I’m glad I didn’t get the Baby Rose Gold one. I put this on my cheeks and lips, and it feels kind of like a balm. But for my dry skin, this doesn’t bother me. Definitely not sticky. L'ORÉAL - Telescopic Original Washable Mascara I got this mascara at the recommendation of a girl I went to high school with whose lashes are the longest I’ve ever seen. She has been wearing this since high school, when her eyelashes were just as noticeable. That’s product loyalty! It was a little tricky to put on because I kept blinking on the right eye and it would smear on my top lid, but I obviously stopped blinking lol. The formula is really smooth and the applicator is very thin with short bristles. I have more of a natural curl to my lashes than my friend, so it looks different on both of us, but I’m very happy with how long my lashes are! If I wanted more volume, I’d apply additional coats or use another mascara under it.

Here I have one of my favorite
Here I have one of my favorite combos, the e.l.f. - Precision Brush CollectionElf Total Face Brush and the PACIfICA - Neutralizing Mattifier Soft Focus Translucent Powderin shade 1. I use this powder almost every day, and love to pair it with this brush for a very soft cover. I use these two products together when I’m going for my “no makeup” makeup look. The powder itself is not heavy at all, and when paired with this brush leaves your skin looking smooth and soft. 5/5 for both of these products, and buying them at “drugstores” like Walgreens and Target make the price point unbeatable

Best drugstore find!
Best drugstore find!
I’m a big fan of drugstore makeup & beauty products if they perform well. One drugstore find that has never let me down is the L’Oréal Lash Paradise Primer! 👍🏾 I started using a lash primer a few years ago & the difference was immediate. My lashes look way better when I use a primer before mascara, especially if it’s a colored mascara. 👏🏾 I used L’Oréal’s original primer before this one & it worked great but the Lash Paradise is a cut above. It’s infused with rose oil & has a wavy shaped brush similar to the Too Faced Better than Sex wand. It helps my lashes look fuller & helps the mascara last longer. 🙌🏾 I also love the Lash Paradise Mascara! It will give your lashes wonderful volume. Both retail for less than $10 so it’s a no-brainer to at least give them a try!💯 L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Primer
