drunk elephant review with fungal acnešš
as someone with fungal acne, buying the same products can be reaaallyyy boring. so this is my review of drunk elephant as someone with fungal acne!!
* disclaimer, NONE of these products are fungal acne safe!! use at your own risk *
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser this cleansing balm doesnāt really emulsify when you activate it with water, leaving a really oily feelingš and doesnāt remove all my makeup
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample this is a really nice gentle foaming cleanser... and thats pretty much it.
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum i love this serum! its a lovely gel serum that absorbs in quickly and is greak at oil control
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum this serum is a little tricky, i havenāt really noticed a difference in my skin in terms if brightness, i do have a bit of dark spots and they havenāt budged. not to mention this formulation is a rip off of the SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum
ļæ¼
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream this is a thicc moisturizer that surprisingly doesnāt leave my oily skin looking greasy af. its a good moisturizer for dry combo skin!

ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream this moisturizer feels exactly like the lala retro... its just 8 dollars more expensive
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask this mask burns so bad the first 20 seconds but then it settles down. i really havent seen a difference in my skin so
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil ive only used this oil a few times but wow it really makes your skin feel super soft and dewy
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm i love this lip balm but its 16 dollars and the claim are completely false!
in conclusion, i wont be repurchasing anymore of drunk elephant products because in reality they are just good products... nothing too special ESPECIALLY for the price. they aslo didnāt want to provide information about the percentage of black employees during the Pull Up Or Shut Up movement so yeah. their aesthetic is cute but ive grown out of this phase š

Day Nā Night Serums
Honest these where the first two serums Iāve every tried and I refuse to change my ways! DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum and DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum I love the way my skin feels when I use them. Even thought I donāt not like the price tag, I can always count on the Sephora sales to save my pockets just a little bit.

⨠Propylene Glycol āØ
My skin type is combo oily and my skin concern is acne, acne scars and dullness.
.
Propylene Glycol: A slightly thick liquid that has no scent or color. It is used in low concentrations in many products as a humectant and epidermal delivery agent. Basically that means it helps a product penetrate into the lipid bilayers of the epidermis and to help stabilize the formula so that it doesnāt change in extreme temperatures. Itās main functions are that it attracts water, lightly moisturizers, addresses visible signs of aging, enhances penetration, prevents water loss, and is safe for acne-prone skin.
.
Controversy: It seems to be common that āClean Beautyā says to stay away from this ingredient. Misinformation about data that shows dramatic stores with prolonged use cause liver and kidney damage. However, these studies were done with the effects of inhalation or ingestion with large concentrations and over long periods of time. These levels arenāt relevant to how much is used in skincare or the form of use with skincare. There has also been confusion and blurred lines with its association with other glycols, like ethylene glycol (not used in cosmetic formulations). Both propylene and ethylene glycol are used in automotive applications and has caused skin irritations in some people, but when used at 100% concentration. It has no toxic effects when used topically and in the concentrations commonly used cosmetic formulations.
.
My Experience: I had honestly not heard about this ingredient until I started researching for this topic. I have been using the Kiehl's - Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate 12.5% Vitamin C for the past couple of weeks and have noticed an improvement in my acne scars/overall glow/radiance. It hasnāt had an negative effects on my skin or caused any sensitivity. It is very lightweight and easily absorbs into my skin without leaving behind a greasy feeling. I also havenāt had any issues with pilling or painful reactions.

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Serum: must or bust?
I started looking for an intense Vitamin C serum when I noticed my acne scarring wasnāt disappearing as fast as it used to. After days of searching and contemplating, I finally decided on this OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum . My initial worry was: what if I waste all this money on something that does nothing for my skin? After a month of using it once a day, I can safely say: I am BLOWN AWAY!
This serum smells like fresh oranges and even shimmers a bit in the light. I was wary of this, thinking maybe it would break me outāworry not. I have never broken out from this product. In fact, this significantly reduces the redness of my breakouts during and after they occur. They just heal faster! It usually takes my acne about a month to heal and look like a lil baby freckle (you know what I mean). With this, it took FOUR DAYS to look like that! After a month, acne spots are completely gone as if they never happened. And older, deep scarringāthat I had given up onānow has the freckle look. This stuff is crazy!
A change I didnāt expect, my face is SO even now. I didnāt even know it was uneven to begin with, lol! But now I look fresh everyday, like Iāve been getting weekly, hydrating facials for the past year.
If your concerns are acne scarring, dullness, dryness, and uneven skin, I really recommend this. It is pricey, but it lasts a long time and is worth every penny. My skin has never looked so healthy.
Do you guys use this serum? What are your thoughts on it? Do you have any other recommendations for healing acne spots/scarring? Thanks for reading! š¤

Works good on dark spots
I often get dark spots from my acne and this does work to fade them away. It also is very smooth and makes you skin feel really soft. It's a runny product, I suggest a good shake before using and do not over use.
I used it mainly at night and it was fine.
Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant that brightens the skin tone and reduces the appearance of signs of aging.
This product is a water-free suspension of 23% L-Ascorbic Acid powder.
Anti-Aging Serum: Shani Darden Texture Reform
If you're looking to incorporate Retinol into your routine for that amazing anti-aging effect everyone is raving about but you have Sensitive skin or you've never used Retinol before, this is the product for you! Shani Darden actually created this for those clients who were looking for the amazing anti-aging benefits of her stronger Retinol Reform but without irritating their gentle skin.
This was the case for me. I don't necessarily have overly sensitive skin, however, I'd never used Retinol products before so I wanted to introduce Retinol slowly to ensure that I didn't have any irritation from going too far too fast. That's what made this such a great product to start with!
Texture Reform contains:
Mild Retinoid: This will gently boost cellular turnover to improve skin texture. It works gradually so it makes it safe for those with sensitive skin to use.
Lactic Acid: This helps exfoliate the skin, improve the texture of the skin, reduce scarring and decongest acne-prone skin.
Niacinamide: Helps keep pores looking smooth, boosts collagen and improves skin's tone
Aloe Vera: Soothes and calms the skin
The product has a light and milky texture and feels light and absorbs quickly on the skin. Plus, you can tell it contains actual retinol due to the yellow tint of the color!
And, not to worry - despite the fact that it's a milder Retinol, YOU WILL SEE RESULTS! After only a couple of uses, I could see a change in the texture of my skin!
Overall, this product helped me reveal brighter skin, soften the look of fine lines, provide antioxidant protection and reduce the look of sun damage and dark spots (my personal favorite!) - ultimately changing the look of my skin in only a few weeks!
It's the perfect time of year to introduce a Retinol into your skincare routine since the fall is upon us so, if you're new to Retinols, definitely check out Shani Darden Texture Reform!
At $95, it certainly isnāt cheap but, the results make it well worth the price tag!
ā£drunkelephant products are amazing, but this one in particular has significantly brightened my skin and helped my hormonal acne scars simmer down. This is the one thing I used religiously everyday
ā£Yes some may find it sticky as I did at first, but it dries pretty quickly. Once I religiously started using it I saw results. Also- I mix it with B-hydra almost everyday which really helps the consistency to rub in better and easier āØā£
