Gotta love that moisture - especially when you have combo skin prone to breakouts! I cycle through moisturizers constantly, never really marrying any one. However, these two just might make me want to settle down 😌 e.l.f. - Happy Hydration Cream
I’ve reviewed this little guy before, but WOW I hope e.l.f. never discontinues this line. It’s the perfect light cream with hemp seed oil, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid for a long-lasting hydrating feel. All for $12 too! BANISH - Vitamin C Cream
I’m using this is conjunction with the Banisher 2.0 for my acne scars, but I’ve also adopted it as a night cream! Though it’s the tiniest moisturizer I’ve ever bought, it’s so rich I barely need any to cover my entire face evenly. The ingredients are INCREDIBLE - aloe juice is the first ingredient, followed by rosehip oil and a bunch of fruit oils, with ascorbyl palmitate and ascorbic acid for the vitamin c 🍊☀️ While it is $39, I’ve been finding it worthwhile for the ingredients list ALONE!

aman0611Did you feel more brightening after applying that vitamin C cream 💑

wonderlandcb15Definitely when using the Banisher tool! I’ve only been using the vitamin c cream for two weeks, so I’ll probably do a dedicated post on my experience using the vitamin c cream. For now though, it’s a really lovely night cream with a great texture! 😊

SKIN HIT KIT - first impressions
e.l.f. - Skin Hit Kit for $26 CAD, elf sells a kit of many of their cannabis-infused skincare minis which i was so eager to try! after trying everything in the kit, i have some thoughts! e.l.f. - Puff Puff Primer this primer feels really nice on the skin and adds a nice additional layer of moisture. my makeup also sits very nicely on top of it. however, i haven’t noticed any additional benefits such as pore shrinking or adding to the overall finish of the skin (i.e. matte or dewy). this is a perfect travel-size item that i would definitely bring with me overnight (if there was anything to go right now) e.l.f. - All the Feels Facial Oil i really enjoy this facial oil. it is non-scented and it absorbs into the skin almost immediately. it leaves my skin feeling more supple and hydrated even hours after applying. i’m a huge fan and look forward to using the rest of this. e.l.f. - Calm Balm this lip balm is pretty standard but nice nonetheless. it has no flavour or scent which i like, and has a kind of oily/vaseline texture. to me this means it sort of feels like it’s sitting on top of the lips rather than penetrating them for optimal moisture, but in my experience so far it is definitely nourishing. e.l.f. - Happy Hydration Cream this is different from the holy hydration cream as it is more of a gel-texture, but delivers a similar boost of moisture to the skin. it feels slightly greasier if i’m being totally honest, but regardless i really like it! overall, the value of this set is great and i have almost exclusively positive things to say about all of the products inside. i will likely finish everything in this set, but will i repurchase any of them? we will have to wait to find out! thanks for reading!! #cheriecreator
Trending: Hemp Oil - Elf is in on the action
I love elf products. Cheap, cruelty-free, effective. Hemp is growing ingredient in skincare, beauty products, food, literally everything. It has been claimed to cure everything from arthritis to zits, and the public wants it in everything , apparently. I’ve seen more hemp oil lip balms, skin lotions, and lamp oil than I can count. But like all trends one has to ask - does it actually make a difference? At this point, I’ve tried about four products that contain that ever alluring hemp oil. And I’m not impressed. I’ll be frank. I usually pan my products completely, love or hate it, but this round in tapping out early, fam. Truly and honestly this stuff is meh. It’s almost the definition of meh. The oil is oily; the moisturizer is a cream, and the lip balm works. I do like the primer, but since I’ve tried new products I’ve been liking it less as my skin looks better on its own that it did with the primer. My skin is no more hydrated, glowing, or firm than before. I’m giving up on this trend and sticking to other affordable options.

My skin during my move from FL to AZ 💦➡️🌵
Two weeks i moved from Florida (aka the most humid state) to Arizona (aka the driest state) and my state didn’t take it very well. The first few days I was here my skin was so dry that it hurt to smile. I even woke up with a rash (maybe from the sun). My lips were SO dry. It was horrible. As a person with naturally oily skin this was super weird. So what did I do? Vaseline - Cocoa Butter Healing Jelly, Rich Moisturizing all over my lips 2-3 times a day I also started using my Vanicream moisturizer twice a day and my BANISH - Vitamin C Cream religiously. Now my skin is starting to get used to it and I kinda like it. I haven’t had a single pimple since I got here which I cam get behind. PS if anyone has recommendations for pores lmk (I already use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator )
I recently incorporated BANISH - Vitamin C Cream into my routine and so far it feels amazing! My face is softer but not greasy and my acne scars are starting to fade (will post a before and after when I can see a significant difference). I also like it because it’s in moisturizer (and stabilized) form so I have been able to use it with other treatments as well. I use it in the morning after washing my face with BLUME - Daydreamer Face Wash , toning with PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator , and using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I would highly suggest doing a patch test if you’re gonna be combining these treatments with Vitamin C. I also add in elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 because vitamin c and sunscreen combine beautifully, and also cause sunscreen duh😂 Let me know if you have any questions/comments/feedback :)

I love getting to try out all
I love getting to try out all these different products, but even if I'm careful, sometimes I end up with irritated skin. iope derma gentle cica cream, I knew it would come in handy. Containing cypress leaf extract, not only does it help to soothe irritation, it also treats dryness and helps to strengthen the moisture barrier. You apply it after your serums/treatments, but before moisturizer/oil. It feels creamy yet light, and absorbs after a few minutes. I primarily use it at night, and I always wake up to super soft skin. It's become a staple whenever I use retinol or a resurfacing mask, and sometimes just when I feel I need an extra layer of hydration. It's free of fragrance, mineral oil, silicone, and parabens, so while you should still check the full ingredient list if you have sensitive skin, this seems quite promising! AMAZING oily skin moisturizer
AMAZING oily skin moisturizer
I have such oily and acne prone skin, not to mention sensitive and irritated like always. I’ve tried several gel moisturizers over the years and some I really enjoyed and others just got the job done. I then stumbled upon this one online and I was super intrigued by the entire ImFrom line and let me just say not only has this become one of my favourite moisturizers ever but so has the entire line If you have oily skin and are a little more used to moisturizing and using gel formulas, this is a great addition to your shelf of skincare ☺️ I love it because in the winter my skin does tend to feel more irritated and right and this is light but heavy enough to keep my skin moisturized and not make my skin cracked

This Etude
✨ PRODUCT REVIEW ✨ This Etude house moistruizer is one of my favourites. It's my second tube and it's almost gone too! Consistency is very milky and creamy but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. I use it at night mostly. I used it a couple of times under makeup but I prefer something more lightweight in the morning. Features: ✔ simple ingredients ✔ good for sensitive skin ✔ not causing breakouts ✔ very moisturizing and soothing ✔ helps to repair skin barrier ✔ not too greasy, not too light ✔ slightly matte finish ✔ soft skin next morning ✔ wallet-friendly! Overall anyone who's looking for simple moisturizing that will just do its job (moistruize 💦💦) should definitely try this!
Super awesome
Super awesome
An absolute miracle in the jar!!!! I used it on my oily skin in winter days and everyone in my family uses it on their hands and body! A little expensive for drugstore but worth every penny in moisturizing the skin! Love how moist it leaves very harsh and dry skin too! I never let this finish keep restocking it for my kids as this is really safe on a babies skin too!

Thoughts: This is honestly one of my favorite moisturizers and I had been using this since the summer of this year. I had seen it on the shelf one day while browsing through target and decided I wanted a hydrating moisturizer that won't leave me greasy, break me out, or have to apply more so soon. This had claimed it would do 2 out of the 3 so I decided to try it out. I can say the first day I applied this it was so soothing and my skin had instantly looked more refreshed and alive in 30 seconds. I was very oily in the summer time and this helped to balance that out and kept my skin nourished for hours, I didn't look or feel greasy! It truly does what it says and with it being so gentle it didn't break me out. It's an amazing moisturizer and definitely became a staple so quickly. Claims: for any skin type (including sensitive) giving all day moisture improve skin's moisture barrier in 4 weeks Targets: dullness, rapairing skin barrier and balancing out the skin Texture: Lightweight cream that turns into a water consistency and is very absorbent (Second pic is the texture shot) Some ingredients: Purified micro algae to improve skin hydrating and reduce water loss Vitamin c to brighten and firm skin Milk thistle and passion fruit seed oils to help restore and soothe skin while protecting it from free radicals German chamomile a gentle flower known to calm the skin Price: $20 A great not a break the bank price for all the hydration it gives Recommendation: Yes I recommend this because it really does help lock in moisture and it feels incredible and is so gentle Cruelty free and Vegan 🐇 bliss - Drench & Quench Moisturizer

BOTANICS - Shine Away Mattifying Day Cream Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 I randomly picked up this moisturizer on a whim, after reading a few reviews and now... IM HOOKED. It has the consistency and hydration of a cream, but when you rub it into your skin, the shiny is immediately gone. I picked it up during the winter, and its hydrating enough to stand up to that. For $15.99, its a worthwhile try, especially compared to the more expensive Murad and Philosophy products. The scent is also very pleasant and non irritating. As someone with very oily skin, this is such a good moisturizer for pre-makeup application. Will buy again!
