Letās talk eye creams!
Eye creams are made to target concerns (dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, etc.) around the eye area, which is very sensitive. They are not necessary to a skincare routine but if you struggle with any of these issues, it can help. Here are some of my favorites (all under $30) and what they can help with.
>$10
THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream
(Brightens dark circles)
$10-$20
REVOLUTION - Targeted Under Eye Serum 5% Caffeine
(Brightens dark circles)
PACIfICA - Vegan Collagen Recovery Eye Cream
(Brightens dark circles, hydrates)
Sweet CHEF - Turmeric + Vitamin C Booster Eye Cream (Brightens, hydrates)
florence by mills - Look Alive Eye Balm
(Brightens, reduces puffiness, hydrates) My personal fave :)
$20-$30
NATURIUM - Retinol Complex Cream
Retinol is best for severe fine lines but if you are going to use it, please make sure to keep your under eyes hydrated because it can be a little drying.
HONEST - Honestly Bright Eyes Tinted Eye Cream
(Hydrates while also covering dark circles)

Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 1
Hey yāall! In todayās post Iāll be reviewing my followers skincare routines! I went through some of yāallās accounts in search of some routines, then messaged everyone to make sure they were okay with me using their routines in this post! This is only pt. 1 because this post got wayyy to long to include everyone at once!
Let me start by saying Iām not an esthetician or dermatologist, nor have I ever claimed to be. I am just a fellow skincare lover who knows a lot about ingredients in skincare.
Weāre starting off with @Chloe_McRae. Sometimes she decides to double cleanse, and when she does she starts with the#Holifrog - Kissimmee Vitamin F Therapy Balmy Wash[products]#[FourStars] which is $42 for 2.5 fl oz. This has a ton of great hydrating oils, as well as Vitamin F, which is great for helping cell turnover. I would say itās a great first cleanse for those with dry skin.
Next she uses theDRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample which is $32. I would say this is a good cleanser. The cleansing agents are gentle and non stripping, and it also has glycerin which is hydrating, and cantaloupe fruit extract which is a hydrating extract full of antioxidants. Other than that, this is a pretty basic cleanser.
Next she uses the HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial l which is $58. Because the name is confusing, itās a gel face mask. This stuff looks gorgeous and the ingredients are too. Along with AHA and BHA, it has aloe and rose water which help your skin to retain moisture. I donāt think itās worth $58, but itās pretty good.
Next is the PEACH & LILY - Wild Dew Treatment Essence which is $39 for 3.38 fl oz. This essence has glycerin, Nicinamide, and Hylaronic acid. For $39 I expected a lot more. In general, essence is less effective than a serum, so this seems a little expensive for what you get.
Then comes theDRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Biome Fermented Sake Hydrating Spray which is $42. Yes, $42 for a face mist. Now looking at the ingredients this has glycerin and a small amount of Hylaronic acid. The rest of the ingredients are extracts. Thankfully there isnāt fragrance, but this is a no because itās so expensive.
And finally is the COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid which is $24. Really this has some Willow water and Nicinamide and thatās it.
Okay I freaked out at this point. Nowhere in this routine is sunscreen or moisturizer!!! Nooooo!! We need less acids and more of the basics. Overall Iād say this routine has too many steps. I think you could simplify down to a double cleanse, a cheap but good serum with Hylaronic acid and Nicinamide which seem to be the ingredients that work well for your skin, and the a moisturizer and some spf.
Our next routine comes from @WillWorkforMascara. She starts her routine with theCeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin w is $17. This product is great for oily skin, which she has. It has glycerin, nicinamide, and Hylaronic acid so itās super hydrating.
Next she usesThe Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution witch is $8.70. Along with glycolic acid, it has aloe vera water and glycerin. Some people think itās overly stripping, but for oily skin its great.
Now this is where this routine becomes international. She goes in with theMUJI - Boosting Essence Lotion which is $7 for 50 ml. This essence has aloe vera juice and glycerin. It does have quite a bit of fragrance though which makes it a no from me.
Next she goes in with the#Pearlessence - Argan Oil + Vitamin E facial oil[products]#[ThreeStars] which is $11.89 for 1.83 fl oz. This product has two ingredients. Vitamin E and Argan oil.
Now this is where we really go international. #Human Nature - Sunflower Eye Cream[products]#[TwoStars] and found out that 295 Cuban Peso is $12.29. Now as for the ingredients this eye cream has sunflower oil and glycerin. And fragrance. Fragrance can especially be irritating around the eye area so this is another no. Instead try some thing likeTHE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream
She also uses a eyebrow and eyelash oil called Peach Thy Lash which is 150 Cuban Peso or $6.25. I donāt know anything about this kind of product so I canāt really say if it works.
And finally is theLANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask which is $22. This mask has Vitamin C, Hylaronic acid, and glycerin. It seems good to me, but this sort of product is more about the experience, and I havenāt tried it.
Again! We need moisturizer and sunscreen! This one also has too many steps so letās simplify it to cleanser, toner, moisturizer, sunscreen, eyelash oil, and lip mask.
Unfortunately this post would be super long if I included everyone, so look out for pt. 2 coming soon! Please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment below your holy grail skincare products, and follow me to join the family and for similar content!

Quick reviews on some serums in my collection!
āØBenton Snail Bee High Content Essence (PR)
If youāre looking for a non sticky snail serum, this one is amazing!! It has a gel texture that deeply nourishes and soothes my skin. I noticed my skin looks really healthy when I use it.
āØMorning Drizzle Vita Toning Serum (PR)
This is a nice addition to my routine since itās so lightweight but hydrating! This gave my skin a nice glow and I noticed that my overall complexion was radiant and bright!
āØBE PLAIN Cicaful Ampoule (PR)
I think this is more suitable for oily/acne prone skin types. This wasnāt enough hydration for my combo/dry skin but it was really gentle and helped soothe my skin. Love using then when my skin is really irritated to calm it down.
āØThe Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum
I love anything hyaluronic acid so no surprise that I love this!! It instantly plumps my skin and makes it feel nourished. If I could change one thing about this it would be the packaging cause I find that too much comes out. Other than that, its a great affordable, hydrating serum.
āØmake p:rem Idebenone Lifting Ampoule (PR)
If you have dry skin this one is amazing!! It has a light cream texture that instantly relieves dryness and any irritation I on my skin. Along with the idebenone, it has ceramides and cholesterol which are amazing ingredients to repair the skin. One of my all time favourite products for winter.

Worth the hype? Best hyaluronic serum?
VICHY - MinƩral 89 Face Serum
It seems that everyone has been raving about this product and rightfully so.
It is light weight and can easily incorporate into your day/ night skincare routine.
This serumās base is mineral rich volcanic waterā89% to be exact, and contains ā15 skin-loving minerals including iron, potassium, calcium, and manganese that work to moisturize skin, re-balance its pH, and protect against pollutants.ā ā Vichy
Another bragging point, is that this product contains only 11 ingredients ā clean, allergy tested, dermatologist tested , and Vegan.
We all know what an amazing ingredient hyaluronic acid is for our skināplumps and retain moisture.
And this product does just that. Itās so simple and I would definitely recommend this for friends that have very sensitive skin.
The only set back about this brand (in general) is that Iām not 100% sure of their cruelty free status. According to their site they do not test on animals but it seems that they currently sell/ market their products in China ā which requires animal testing. Maybe this is old news? And if not, hopefully one day thatāll change.
So I use it and love it with hesitation and Iām not sure if I would repurchase after I finish the bottle. Maybe Iāll change my mind- who knows.
If that (cruelty-free status) is not a factor when you buy/ use cosmetics than go for it!
It is $30 and itās super accessible- available on Ulta*, CVS, Walgreens, Vichy.com, Skinstore.com. If you find yourself on a budget, get it at CVS. Thereās always a sale and of course coupons.
** Ulta has them in 3 sizes.
Here are some hyaluronic acid serums that are confirmed š°cruelty-free:

Inkey List Brighten-I Cream
I just picked this up a few weeks ago, but so far I am really loving this eye cream!
The applicator is metal as shown and it is so cold in the morning, which is perfect for depuffing!
The skin around your eyes is very sensitive so I wanted do do a demonstration of how gentle you should be with that area. Always pat/tap your product in, never rub!
This has highlighted ingredients which include Mica to illuminate, grant-x 5% to blur the appearance of fine lines, and the brandās trandmarked ingredient of āBrightenyl 2%ā which is said to help brighten the eye contour. I wish there was more transparency on what this last ingredient actually was.
Not sure on long term benefits, but this is definitely a great eye cream for a quick depuff and instant brighten. Also for $9.99 you canāt beat the price to atleast try it out. Hope you enjoyed š

SKIN CARE FOR HOW MUCHš±š¤©?!?
Just like The Ordinary, here we are with another affordable skin care brand!!! Are you excited??? š¤©
If you live in Canada like me, you can find The Inkey List in your local Shoppers Drug Mart and if youāre from the UK (also like me) you can find it at any Boots or Superdrug.
In Ontario these products range between $8-13.... which is a steal if youāre used to throwing a lot of bread at Sephorašøš¤¦š»āāļø I have been using these three for a month now and am in love the Collagen Booster and Polyglutamic Acid. Unfortunately the Caffeine Aye Cream was a huge let down for me (Stay Tuned for Why).
x Collagen Booster Face Serum (30ml)
A natural skin protein that helps the skin keep its firmness, suppleness and elasticity while also reducing redness, fine lines, wrinkles and pores.
I LOVE this serum... it truly is worth the shot!! My face has never felt so bouncy yet firm at the same time... if you know what I mean? I use this straight after I have cleansed and toned my face making sure that I distribute the serum all around my face/neck and then pat into the skin for full benefits! YOUR SKIN IS A SPONGE LADIESš§½
x Polyglutamic Acid (30ml)
Polyglutamic Acid is naturally found in the skins layers, which aids to maintain the skins moisture levels. It is also known to hold up to 4x more moisture that hyaluronic acid ... YES you heard me right!!!
I never knew the benefits of this until I put it on my face! My face usually looks greasy after face oils and moisturizer, but this little guy truly change that for mešššAs directed on the bottle, I use this after my serums to lock all the good stuff into my skin before I moisturizer... oh my ladies does this ever penetrate the skin! My face has never felt so soft and supple before these two lovely products! For the price you cannot knock it!
x Caffeine Eye Cream (15ml)
This product isnāt worth the price considering that Caffeine is listed as ingredient number 12... puffiness and dark circles are still the same! If you are looking for a better product that does the trick of making you look alive when you really arenāt? Well then head on over to The Ordinary!!! The Caffeine Eye Solution 5% + EGCG is $6.70 and you get TWICE THE FORMULA FOR HALF THE PRICE!!!

The Inky List
Have you tried @theinkeylist If not, youāre missing out!
.
I decided to explore this brand when I took a look at their price point and ingredients. You canāt go wrong when not a single product is over $15!!! The founders believed that skincare should be accessible for everyone as well as easy to navigate and understand. All products are easy to understand and clearly state what they can do for you. I also like that they explain what products to avoid mixing together.
.
I started with Hyaluronic Acid - $8 - and found the formula to be okay. Itās not my favorite, @deciem formula is actually my favorite, but either one is a great option. I think I just prefer the dropper better over the squeeze bottle of The Inky List. I end up with too much coming out at times. But the hydration this gives me is A+. My face feels and looks instantly dewy. That healthy glow! ⨠If you donāt have HA in your life, youāre missing out!
.
Next up I ordered their Retinol - $10 - but only just started using it consistently. Itās a very easy formula to work with and I layer on the lotion after to make sure I have no issues with irritation. Iāve had a few small breakouts but nothing crazy. I plan to use something stronger after I finish this.
.
See yesterdayās post regarding the Sea Kelp - $10
.
And I just picked up the eye cream Caffeine - $10 - . I got it initially for my husband. He has serious eye bags and I wanted to put this to the test but he isnāt cooperating with me. I gave it to my daughter to try as I am still working through my @farmacybeauty Cheer Up. She has dark circles and puffy eyes so Iām anxious to hear her thoughts.
.
What do you use from The Inky List? What should I try next?
.
Happy hump day! š¼
THE inkey LIST-Caffeine Eye Cream
Ingredient Spotlight w/ VERSED Anti-Aging Bundle
I tried the youth preserving ābounce back bundleā from VERSED (at Target) for 15 days! Here are my thoughts. āØ
VERSED - ON THE RISE FIRMING SERUM
Ingredient of Interest: Resveratrol
Function: anti-aging antioxidant found in red wine, well studied in the lab for anti-inflammatory, anticarcinogenic (melanoma), anti-UV properties.
Price: $19.99 for 1 Oz
Comments: No real complaints about the serum itself, the formula sits on the face comfortably, doesnāt pill or sting. The packaging is minimal but feels a little cheap because of the plastic. I donāt love that the opening doesnāt have a protective mesh barrier to keep impurities from getting into the bottle with use. I havenāt noticed any drastic changes to my skin after two weeks but I donāt mind it in my skincare routine.
VERSED - ZERO-G Smoothing Eye Cream
Ingredient of Interest: Eyeliss Peptide Triad (HMC, PT-7, and Dipeptide-2)
Function: increases lymphatic circulation, reduce ābruisingā and blood vessel issues associated with dark circles.
Price: $17.99 for 0.5 Oz
Comments: I was first drawn to the eye cream because itās formula (Eyeliss), known in medicine for reducing bruising. I do think this eye cream works much better for me in reducing dark circles than caffeine does!! The cream is not too thick upon application but it does leave an immediate warming (burning for some) sensation which may be concerning for sensitive skin. Itās strange because we canāt really avoid the eye area if itās meant to be an eye cream! I have noticed results in the past two weeks, however, and will continue to use this! The packing is again plastic and the tiny inside lid fits awkwardly onto the container but itās something Iām willing to overlook if the formula works. Not badly priced for an eye cream either.
VERSED - THE SHORTCUT Overnight Facial Peel
Ingredient of Interest: Glycolic and Lactic Acid
Price: $9.99 for 0.5 Oz
Comments: As Iāve mentioned in a different post, as a regular AHA user, the glycolic and lactic acids are way too far down the ingredient list for me to notice a huge different to my skin but itās a great intro product. Itās a gentle night cream, essentially sits like a lotion. I am not repurchasing as I canāt justify the price for the amount of product Iām getting- there are far better options out there. Love the sleek packaging though!
VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum
Ingredient of Interest: Vitamin C derivative (sodium ascorbyl phosphate) and Niacinamide
Price: $19.99 for 1 Oz
Comments: I only got a sample of this bestselling serum- overall I have no complaints but it didnāt wow me either. I know there are more economical options out there but one perk is that you get Vit C and Niacinamide in one serum! Itās a thicker consistency than other Vit C serums Iāve tried but I wouldnāt say itās more hydrating- in fact, I actually felt that it was more drying than Iām used to.
VERSED-Bounce Back Youth-Preserving Bundle
VERSED Brightening Eye Serum
VERSED Vacation Eyes Brightening Eye Gel is a lightweight eye serum that targets dullness to brighten & refresh the under eye. It is formulated with vitamin C, ginseng root extract, and niacinamide to brighten. It also contains coffee seed extract which supports circulation and helps to flush out fluid that can get caught in the under eye area and leads to dark circles. It has a lightweight gel consistency that blends easily into the skin.
Iāve been using this eye serum for several months now & I love its consistency. It works really well under makeup. However, I donāt notice much of a difference in my dark circles when I use it. So for that reason, I only gave it 3 stars.
This product is a great value at $17.99. I would recommend it for someone who is wanting just a little brightening under the eye. For those who need lots of help with dark circles, I would say this probably isnāt the product for you.

dermalogica for all your skin concerns!šæ
so to start i just want to say i am very lucky and have received most of my products i post for free for a few reasons, one is from working with cherie the past few months (theyāre amazing!), my best friend is also a manager at ulta and gives me a ton of really nice products for free! and lastly i have 3 good friends who are popular content creators and iām lucky enough to get the products they donāt wantš
dermalogica - Calm Water Gel Moisturizer
$50 1.7oz (sephora)
I recently started the dermalogica line a month ago and Iām absolutely loving it. I had dry skin with some oily spots and Iāve been using the calm water gel moisturizer and it has my face so hydrated and glowly..Itās a line I would like to stick with. The only downside is the price is pretty expensive but it is kind of a luxury brand.
dermalogica - BioLumin-C Vitamin C Serum
1oz $89
I have been trying to find a product to help with my acne scarring and fine lines, and this works wonders. I have only been using this for 2 weeks now and I already see a huge change in my skin overall. it's cleared, and I feel like I can actually go without makeup now. I definitely recommend this If you want to try a vitamin c serum. the price is just crazy though.
dermalogica - Biolumin-C Vitamin C Eye Serum
$70 .5oz
This product is amazing! Iāve always had prominent dark circles and have used many other products (Philosophy, EstĆ©e Lauder, and even other Dermalogica products), and nothing compares to this. This product is excellent at both brightening the eye area, and neutralizing and puffiness. I will be sticking with this eye cream so long as the formula doesnāt change. Another great product by Dermalogica. This and the OleHenrickson are my top two eye creams ever i love them! Ole is about half the price if you want one just as good.
