Achieve the Beachy Waves of Your Dreams🌊

For anyone who has grown out a pixie, you know there is that dreaded awkward stage. I know from experience that it would honestly feel better to give up on the grow-out than spend one more day trying to construct a style out of that mess of a mop. Don't fret; There is still hope yet, my lovelies. This relaxed wavy look is easy to recreate on even the hardest of days. Here's how to!
Starting on damp hair, take your thermal protectant, I like to use KÉRASTASE - Discipline Blow-Dry Smoothing Primer
it is just about the most amazing product for frizz control and heat protection. Apply Keratine Thermique evenly throughout hair. Establish deep side part and blow-dry using a small round brush, working all of the hair away from your hair line.
Using a mini straightener (full size is fine, but on super short hair, it is easier to use a mini) take horizontal sections starting at the occipital bone (about two inches from the top of the back of your head) working your way forward to your hairline. In each section, twist your straightener downward as it glides through your hair. The result should look like a tightly spiraled curl (like Shirley Temple) don't worry, this is only the process, not the outcome! Do not touch the curls while they are hot or they will lose their shape, and it will be a mess to try to fix 😂
*Side note: when you get to the last section, which should be at your front hairline, be sure to direct the curl away from your face.
Once you are finished curling, let the curls cool for a few minutes or until they are cool to the touch. Now is the fun part! Take your davines - This is a Sea Salt Spray
and spritz the curls with it (don't soak them, just a light misting is fine). Run your fingers through your hair to break up the curls and begin molding your hair to your desired look. I brush my hair away from my face and give the roots a little shake to help will volume and separation. Don't be afraid to really get in there and play around with your hair.
If you have a hard time with volume or you want to add some extra pieceyness and texture, then use ORIBE - Dry Texturizing Spray
at the roots and give your hair/roots a shake.
Remember, the goal is to achieve a natural wavy look. Your hair more than likely won't look like my hair in the photo. That's okay. It's not supposed to look like mine; it's supposed to look like yours! Play around with it and see what products as techniques your hair likes the most. Have fun with it!! ❤️

My Go-To Hairstyle!
I always feel my best when my hair looks it’s best haha! For me my best looking hair is a messy but glam, perfectly imperfect disheveled styling. I love this look because it’s sexy and easy to achieve and frames the face well. This effortless looking style perfectly accompanies my personal style and always gets me compliments. I have really fine hair so this gives it the illusion of volume and density. I find this look takes me about 15 to 20 min to create. It’s perfect for a Date with a hottie or a night out. Here’s how I get my look! 1. After I’ve allowed my hair to air dry after a shower I section it off using clips. I take the top portion of my hair at the crown and lift it away to reveal the lower layers. 2. I then go in using my Bio Ionic Graphine MX curing wand, curing pieces of hair towards my face and away from it starting from the back of the head to the front, rotating the barrel clockwise for one piece then counterclockwise for another, except the pieces that frame my face which I curl away from my face. Using this technique gives my hair a natural looking curl. I love this wand because it’s less damaging to my hair and it has a long barrel which speeds up the process. 3. After Curling my hair completely I will set the style using the iconic L’oreal Elnett extra strong hold hairspray. This hairspray helps hold the curl in my pin straight hair. This is the hairspray that’s been used on me backstage at shows my entire career and it really works, it’s a fashion week essential! 4. Taking my Tangle Teaser hair brush I then brush out the curls to give my hair a more wavy texture. This brush is very gentile on my fine hair, I also love that you can use this brush on wet and dry hair so it’s efficient. 5. For extra shine, moisture, and a beautiful scent I apply the Balmain Hair Couture Silk Mist all over my head. I’ve been using this product literally since it first came out and it really gives my hair a luxurious feel. It has Argan oil in it which nourishes dryness. I recommend this product to anyone who needs moisture, scent, and shine all in one product! Just don’t spray too much or your hair will look greasy. 6. I finish the style with a few sprays of the Oribe Dry Texturizing spray. This amazing smelling spray gives me a boost of volume and makes my hair look perfectly tussled! It’s not quite a dry shampoo and not quite a typical texture spray, it’s kinda a hybrid of the two. This Is another product I discovered backstage at shoots and shows, and has stayed on my beauty counter for years. If you want to treat yourself to something bougie this is the finishing spray for you!

How to Create a Textured Pixie Look
Creating texture, especially on short hair, can be tricky and downright frustrating if you don't know how to encourage texture properly. As someone who has naturally curly texture, it has been easy for me to create that desired piecey look. For those of you whose hair resists texture at all costs, I will go as much into detail as possible to help encourage texture within your hair. To get this look you need: KENRA PROFESSIONAL - Platinum Texturizing Taffy 13 ORIBE - Dry Texturizing Spray How to: Start with clean towel-dried hair and begin blow-drying your pixie from the crown to your front hairline in a forward motion. Don't use a brush to blow dry, just use your fingers to rake through your hair. If you can, blow dry your hair following its natural growth pattern (wherever your hair wants to lay naturally), this will give you the best results and prevent any resistance from any unruly areas. Once your hair is about 90% dry (still damp/cool to the touch), grab your Platinum Texturizing Taffy and add a fingernail size to your palm (just go by the size of your nail on your pointer finger). Rub your hands together to distribute and melt product; this will ensure even distribution onto your hair. Rake fingers through your hair in a forward and backward motion. Don't be afraid to make your hair super crazy to ensure you get the product all over (you should look like you just got electrocuted). After you are finished applying, brush your fingers through your hair following your natural growth pattern to tame the craziness and begin blow-drying until hair is 100% dry. To add the finishing touches, take your Dry Texturizing Spray and apply it to the roots through the midshaft of your hair. Do this in sections working your way back to your crown. Using your fingertips, shake, and massage hair at the roots to encourage volume. Tip: For extra texture or pieceyness, take a tiny bit of your Platinum Texturizing Taffy on your fingertips and work different sections into a point by pinching and sliding your fingers from midshafts to ends. (if this is confusing let me know and I will post a demonstration) Feel free to share your finished styles or comment with any questions!

The Feminine Shag
Who says you can't rock a Bieber cut and still look fabulous! One of the many times I have grown out my hair, I had this brilliant idea to shave my head and then let my hair grow without any haircuts or modifications. Talk about au natural! To my surprise, it grew out beautifully! (for the most part 😆). This shag was a result of my natural hair growth process, and to this day, it has been one of my favorite styles. The layers are perfectly piecey, which helps give some volume and texture. The shape grew very rounded, complementing, and flawlessly framing my oval face and creating some length over my ears. This is the perfect cut for someone who loves to do something different with their hair every day because it is so versatile. You can style it straight with it tucked behind your ears to pull off a sleek, clean look or go the shag route with some major texture. Plus, shags are all the rage right now. So whether you have a short pixie shag or a long-locked shag, you are going to be styling! How did I style this look? Simple! The Fem Shag- As pictured, this is an effortless styling choice. All I did was wash and then blow-dry, pointing my dryer at the crown to encourage its natural growth pattern. If your hair doesn't want to go forward, don't force it. Also, you can use a small round brush to make it a little more styled and less frizzy. After it is 100% dry, spritz with any brand of Sea Salt spray, shake your shag out, and be on your way! I Used: davines - This is a Sea Salt Spray

Products + Styles for Long, Fine, Blonde Hair✨
As the title says, my hair is currently long, fine, and blonde (part natural, part bleach😜). Maintaining healthy hair while dealing with these elements can be tricky sometimes so I’m here to show you some of my favourite products for keeping my hair toned, long, and healthy. With my hair type, I mainly focus on hydration, repairing/prevention, toning, and texture (with my hair being fine + straight I like to give it a boost of texture). First up, let’s talk shampoo. I wash my hair about 2-3 times per week and I rotate between a purple shampoo, clarifying/detox shampoo, and a regular shampoo. What I’ve been using lately are - • KRISTIN ESS - The One Purple Shampoo this one works soooo well to tone all of the brassiness out of my hair AND it’s affordable. The one con IMO is it’s very heavily fragranced. • DRUNK ELEPHANT - Cocomino Glossing Shampoo this is what I’ve been using as a detox shampoo and it works pretty well - not the best and not the worst. It has a nice light scent and does leave my hair feeling very clean. Downside to this one is the price tag, it’s pretty expensive for such a small bottle. IGK - Low Key Cleansing Walnut Scalp Scrub I recently started incorporating a scalp scrub into my routine; this one works decently well but I have a hard time getting the product to my scalp. BUT if/when I do, I love the cooling peppermint feeling it leaves behind on my scalp. Next up, I try to use a mask or deep conditioner once a week. I’ve been using the eva·nyc - Therapy Session Hair Mask and it’s quite nice. It leaves my hair feeling soft and hydrated but again, it’s quite heavily fragranced which I don’t love. Now this next product is my holy-grail...seriously I am obsessed with it and sing its praises. The KEVIN.MURPHY - Kevin.Murphy Young.Again rescued my dead, bleached ends and brought my hair back to life and helped it to grow long and healthy for the first time in over 10 years. I don’t know what else to say...it’s magic and you need it. Lastly, some styling products I’ve been loving are - • davines - This is a Sea Salt Spray this isn’t a super drying salt spray like some I’ve tried in the past; it gives my hair some grip and texture without the crunchiness. It also has a light vanilla musk scent that I love! • KEVIN.MURPHY - Shimmer Me Blonde this spray contains violet reflects to help tone out brassiness in blonde hair and it’s sooo pretty. It’s like a light oil in texture and feels more like a treatment than a styling product - another Kevin Murphy product I’m in love with!! As for styles, some of my most worn are - • air dried • flat iron waves • half up pony • half up top knot • all up top knot • centre part • deep side part • scrunchies always What are your favourite hair products for your hair type?!

hair parts + face shape
hair parts + face shape
this is a subject I’ve tried to learn a lot about. I really notice a huge difference in my appearance depending on which way I part my hair. a middle part is said to give the illusion of length and symmetry. so, if you have a rounder face, you’ll probably like how it looks. a side part can help accentuate cheek bones and is said to be “universally flattering”. I have done both, and recently have been sticking more with a middle part. I suggest asking your hair dresser what they recommend. they often see us in an unbiased light and can tell you what looks best! my stylist said I could do either, because my face isn’t as long as I thought in my mind (lol). I think there’s exceptions to every rule, but switching up your hair part can be a fun and easy way to revamp your look! what do you think? do you prefer a side or middle part for me?amika: - The Shield Anti-Humidity Spray aussie - 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioner TRESemmé - Moisture Rich Shampoo With Vitamin E

4 Easy Steps To Add Volume To Straight Hair
4 Easy Steps To Add Volume To Straight Hair
Hi y'all! I have long straight hair. If you know, long straight hair looks very dull sometimes. So I have been trying to add volume to it since I was young.  I have tried a couple of different ways, but eventually, I think hair straightener is the best tool that will help you. It is quite affordable and it is very easy to use. I have a 4-step quick tutorial to show you how to do it. If you are unsure about it, leave a comment!

My hair story ( journey )
My hair story ( journey )
Hi guys so I wanted to tell you about my hair journey and when I made a big change and dyed my hair brown 6 years ago in the before picture... So about 6 years ago I dyed my hair brown and ever since I was little I was a natural dirty blonde and my hair would get super light in the summer time because I’m always out in the sun.. So from having blonde hair my whole life I thought I would go darker and don’t get me wrong I loved being blonde and it’s such a beautiful color but brown is beautiful as well and I didn’t think how the journey would go. It’s so much to maintain I couldn’t believe how many salons I had to go to , to get my hair back to blonde and the way I wanted it . my hair was turning orange on the top of my roots cause my natural roots were coming in and I had to strip my hair from the color a couple times bc I went to a salon that I didn’t have the best hair experience with and while the process of bleaching and striping my hair my scalp was on fire... I loved my hair brown for a while but when my natural color starting to come back in , my hair was getting brassy But from all of that I went to a salon and the sweet lady thought I’d start from scratch with a ombré bc my natural hair color was pretty much an ombré and I had so much hair long thick ish hair that would always get so knotted and while I was pregnant almost 2 years ago my hair turned dark light brown witch is crazy how my hair got kinda dark during that time so after I had my daughter I went to the salon to get my blonde back and I finally got it and now I feel so comfortable and fresh with my color I even got my hair cut shorter witch I do love long hair but short definitely suits my face shape for a round / heart face shape and it’s so much healthier than it has ever been . I haven’t had it this healthy since before I died my hair very dark!!! I take care of my hair with the following hair care products I’ve been posing on my recent post so if your interested in a nice protective and repairing leave - in conditioner is SheaMoisture - Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate + Repair Multi-Action Leave-In I love that stuff and before adding heat to your hair I use the TRESemmé - Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Leave In Spray to my damp hair 😊 Also thank you so much for all the support and cheers you guys leave me it’s so much appreciated and I love sharing all my favorite products with you guys ❤️ #cheriepartner

Sleek+Straight; Best Styles for Oval Face Shape
Sleek+Straight; Best Styles for Oval Face Shape
My face shape has always been a cross between oval & round; I have found that one of the most flattering styles for my shape is sleek and straight. Here’s the steps I take to achieve shiny, sleek, healthy looking hair that frames my face and helps to slim down the roundness👇🏻 My hair is naturally straight and is fine in texture. While my natural colour is blonde, it is also colour-treated (bleached) throughout. 1️⃣ I started with day-old, air-dried hair; first I sprayed in the eva·nyc - Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer to protect my strands from the heat of my flat iron and prime it for styling. This spray is a very fine mist and works great to prep the hair for heat styling (my only con is that it’s very strongly perfume scented). 2️⃣ Next I ran my eva·nyc - Spectrum Far-Infrared Styling Iron through my hair, concentrating on the hair around my face to make sure it was evenly sleek and not frizzy. Personally, I only flat iron my hair from just above my ears down because I find if I flat iron the roots it leaves my hair too flat and without any volume. 3️⃣ Last, I misted on some of my KEVIN.MURPHY - Shimmer Me Blonde which is a shine-enhancing spray made for blondes, with violet-hued reflects to tone out brassiness (they have one for brunettes/redheads too!). I love this stuff, it feels nourishing but light and makes my hair shiny without being greasy. Honestly, it’s a super simple look but I always feel a little bit glam when I go for sleek + straight locks - it feels so timeless. Hope you enjoyed!!💁🏼‍♀️🤍

My everyday work hairstyle 💕
My everyday work hairstyle 💕
Hey everyone! So Cherie challenged me to go outside of my comfort zone so I’m posting a picture tutorial that’s a little different than my usual skincare content. I tried recording like three videos and luck just wasn’t on my side so this was what I had to do. 🖤 I just got my hair cut the other day so I wanted to show how I usually style it for work. First, I brush out my hair and usually apply a dry shampoo (depending on how long it’s been since I’ve washed it). I have really thick hair (it’s normally wavy as well but I have a blow out in this video) and I usually only wash it once a week. My favorite dry shampoo by far is the IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo . It’s a really heavy duty dry shampoo that gives plenty of body to the hair. This can make week old hair look like you just washed it. I section my hair and apply. I usually wait 30 seconds and work it into my hair with my hands (it’s really important you use your hands instead of a brush! It distributes product better). Next, I brush the front piece of my hair up with a hair brush and hold that in one hand while smoothing down the rest of my hair. I grab two bobby pins (who else does the bobby pin in the mouth trick? 🙋🏻‍♀️) and then I twist the front section of hair I pulled aside and push it forward a little to add a “poof”. I push the bobby pins in to secure the “poof” in a X formation to make sure the hold is secure. Then, I grab a flexible hold hairspray and apply to prevent any flyaways. My favorite by far is the R+Co - Outer Space Flexible Hairspray . It smells amazing and gives great hold without feeling crunchy. Finally, I pull little pieces out and up a little to give the “poof” a little more of a uniform look. I’m sorry if the quality of the tutorial isn’t up to par with my usual stuff. I’m trying something new! I hope you all liked my little tutorial 💕 This hair style is super comfortable to me and allows me to work without having my hair constantly in my face. #CherieCreator
