Try It If You Have A Round Face Like Me!

I have flat and fine hair and I've dreamed of make some wavy on my straight hair to create more volume in my hair. I finally decided to go to a salon this weekend to make my super straight hair wavy.  I rly love my new curly hairstyle. The layers in the hair allow for volume. A little height in the crown will elongate my round face and a side parting will also help to complement my face shape. The face-framing waves slim the cheekbones ever so slightly. The only thing I worry about is maintainance. Any tips on how to keep the short wavy bob?

CskinCI use to have one a tiny bit longer than yours, I just blow dried, used a texture spray and curled it, I didn't use a hair spray because I wanted some of the curls to fall out into waves but my hair is naturally more wavy so hopefully this holds up for you

Hair parts for face shapes
Hair parts for face shapes
Ive been seeing posts like this alot lately, and have always heard about certain styles etc for certain face shapes. I personally never understood it to be honest, I’m one to experiment with hairstyles (when I get my hair done, I rarely do my own hair 😅) and usually am happy with the results. If I’m not happy with a certain look, I attribute it to my hair type- thin, flat, oily, weird baby hairs and cow-licks, rather than my face shape (oval?). Here for example, you can see how my face shape kind of changes with the parts that I make, but I dont think any one look is more flattering than another, I think they all work for me, and my go-to part (lately its been middle part) os decided purely on mood. But if you think one part looks better than another, please let me know, I’m honestly curious. I’m not sure how beneficial this post was, but I think the bottom line I’m trying to get at is- experiment with hairstyles, dont be afraid to try a style that you’re interested in simply because you heard its not recommended for your face shape. I think all beautiful hairstyles should look good on everyone!

SLIM A ROUND FACE WITH THIS SIMPLE TRICK
SLIM A ROUND FACE WITH THIS SIMPLE TRICK
An oval face is deemed as the most attractive face shape. Most fall under this category, but if you don’t, do not worry because there are plenty of ways to create the illusion of having one. I achieved a slimmer looking face without having to get a hair cut. In the photo on the left, my hair is pulled back showcasing the round contours of my face. When I want to look more “attractive”, I wear my hair down which creates this slimmer illusion of an oval face in the right photo. The long length of my hair draws the eyes down also taking away from my rounded face. With that being said, haircuts above the jawline can accentuate round features so opt for anything shorter than a long bob. I would love to know what ways you style your hair to take away from a rounded face? ⬇️⬇️

Chin-length bob's too short? Try it if you have narrow face like me!
Chin-length bob's too short? Try it if you have narrow face like me!
Whether it’s Jennifer Lawrence’s short wavy bob or the glam of Margot Robbie’s shoulder-length waves, it is safe to say that wavy hair is seriously on-trend. So I got a short wavy bob like this recently. The hairstyle is universally flattering on all face shapes. It’s a chic, easy short hairstyles’ option with extra edge from sharp tips.  When I just got my hair cut, I thought its tooooo short. Don't get stuck in the trap of “it’s too short, I can’t do anything but just leave it straight.” Not the case! Now I've got used to my new hairstyle and think it really works for me! The wavy bob flatters narrow faces like mine and It’s also a great bob cut to have if you want to widen the appearance of your jaw-line.  What do you think of it!

My favorite cute (and easy!) hairstyle
My favorite cute (and easy!) hairstyle
Two things about me: one, I am very low maintenance when it comes to doing my hair. Two, I love anything and everything vintage, especially when it comes to clothes and accessories. Thus I love using a vintage hair scarf like this to accessorize! This makes such a statement and adds so much to just a standard ponytail. My hair is naturally wavy and pretty thick, though it tends to lack volume at the roots. This style works best for longer hair (though there are plenty of other ways to wear head scarves even if you have short hair!) What you’ll need: a hair elastic a lightweight scarf, preferably a rectangular one (not square) made of lightweight material like silk. This one is silk and measures 18” long and 12” wide. dry shampoo or volumizing spray First, use some dry shampoo or volumizing spray to add volume to your roots. I absolutely adore the SACHAJUAN - Dark Volume Powder . It adds volume and texture to my roots like I didn’t even know was possible—way more than other products or dry shampoos I’ve tried in the past. It’s pricey, but a little goes a long way and since I don’t do my hair super often, this can should last me a long time. Next, use the hair elastic to pull your hair into a high ponytail. Last, tie the scarf around the base of your ponytail, and there you have it! This is such a quick way to add some vintage flair to any outfit.

Which hair length is best for me? 💖
Which hair length is best for me? 💖
*Disclaimer: I know I look like 4 different people in the photos LOL but these pics have been taken throughout the past 4 years. I’ve gone through several hair lengths, styles and color! (Even my makeup looks so different!!!) I’ve never been super committed to one style, length or color of hair so I’ve experimented a lot. Here are a few examples of me with different lengths and styles of hair. Honestly, I enjoyed every single length because change always feels nice once I’ve had a certain length and color for a while. Currently, my hair is at a medium length and looking back at my short, choppy hair, I really miss it! It looks perfect for these hot, summer months and my hair is definitely looking a bit tired at the ends so a cut would be perfect. What do you think? Should I chop my hair or keep it at its long length?

Trust Me! Short Hair Can DEF Enhance Your Face Shape!
Trust Me! Short Hair Can DEF Enhance Your Face Shape!
I recently got a haircut. My hair was long and I cut off my hair into a short blunt bob. It's getting harder and harder to hang on to my long-hair love when literally every celeb is chopping off their hair. From Kim Kardashian’s blunt bob to Camila Mendes’s shaggy lob, my social feed is being inundated with all the summer-hair inspo. And the idea of going straight for a bob is too daunting for me, so I finally cut my hair into the short bob! How do you think about it!
