A lil TLC
How are you giving your skin a little extra love these days? I opt for hydrating eye patches, moisturizing sheet masks, and a super gentle peel off mask. For when I need to be event ready, bright eyed, and bushy tailed: bliss - Eye Got This Holographic Foil Eye Masks These eye masks are fool proof. I have very sensitive under eyes that are prone to eczema as an allergic reaction to the weather around me. These eye masks do not irritate my skin and do a good job of brightening up my under eyes. If you have puffy eyes like me, I suggest going over them with ice every morning. Intense, I know, but it helps with the significant puffiness. As for my jade roller - I’ve studied the scientific effects of jade rolling. I myself personally do not see a difference. Lymphatic draining will come from diet, hydration, and sleep. From the inside out. However, if ice is too cold for you, keeping your jade roller in the fridge and rolling it over these eye patches calls for a very calming and soothing sensation. While it won’t reshape your bone structure, no one can deny that a little treat yourself moment can always be called for. For when my skins throwing a temper tantrum: peach slices - Travel Mask I typically use this mask the night before a big event, or when my skins being cranky for no reason. It’s calming and hydrating but does not clog your skin. For when my skin needs a little exfoliation and pat on the back: APRILSKIN - Real Calendula Peel Off Pack This peel off mask is incredible. It will not suck everything out of your pores. But it will help get rid of dead skin, calm down white heads, and smooth out your skin. It’s a filter for your face. The peel off is incredibly gentle and your face will feel hydrated afterwards. Follow with serum and moisturizer to lock in that calendula.

Picture Perfect Makeup (No Foundation)
If you have freckles - LOVE THEM! I sure do. I, admittedly, have never worn foundation a day in my life. Mostly because I feel like I'm suffocating with my face covered completely. However, I've also been trained to remember that your skin eats whatever you put on it. Foundation included. So, instead, I've found a make up routine that's perfect for pictures. You want to look like yourself. You want to look dewy and glowy but you don't want to look like someone else - You're you! 🤨 Brows - NYX - Micro Brow Pencil Nyx Micro Brow Pencil in ASH BROWN. Brown haired ladies, choose ash brown! Often times chestnut or chocolate brown look too artificial on your face. If you want a more natural brow look, opt for the ash brown color. This pencil is very very thin. You're able to draw hairlike stroked and it blends out beautifully benefit - 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel Set it with a clear brow gel to seal in all your hard work. 👁 Eyes - COLOURPOP - Going Coconuts I opt for a very smoked out natural eye. In pictures, the eyes can be the most captivating. Make them special. A little bit of glitter can go a long way. But the best way to highlight those eyes is to smudge a light brown (you can use your bronzer!) all over the eyes. If you're afraid of glitter all over the lid, try a metallic eyeliner! 👀 Mascara - L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara I do not wear fake lashes. Mainly beacuse I'm afraid of them and I am not skilled enough to use adhesive around my eyeballs. I first layer on Maybelline's Lash Paradise for volume and length after curling. MAYBELLINE - Falsies Lash Lift Mascara Shortly after, I run Falsies Lash aloft through my lashes for separation and added length. Don't forget a lash comb! Game. Changer. 👓Concealer - e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer This is an exact dupe for Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. Quite honestly, I think it's even better. It does crease a little bit so set it with a translucent powder. But the coverage is seamless and a little goes a long way. Pick a concealer 2 shades lighter than you to brighten up those eyes. ☀️🍑Bronzer & Blush - PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer KIKO - Blush Shade Fusion Trio Blush These are meant to add color to your face, not change it. I love blush, it brings a glow and warmth to your face that brings the focus to your cheeky smile. 💄Lips - I don't do too much with lips. A quick lip tint is enough. For special ocassions and professional headshots, I accentuate my eyes to bring them into focus. A little inner corner highlight can change your eyes entirely. I finish it all off with Mac Fix Plus to add a dewy radiance that melts all your makeup together. ‼️ Please let me know if you’d be interested in seeing more tips & tricks!

“Simplicity is key” is not a cliche
I’m a chemistry graduate weening her way into the personal care sciences to make effective skincare and makeup that has a long lasting effect on the way your skin treats you. I have a deep passion to help people around me understand what the hell is going on with their skin. More often than not, the issue is... we be doin too much. I don’t have problematic skin per say but she is sensitive, picky, and temperamental. For a while I fell down the 10 step skin care routine rabbit hole. I put a toner on my face, a serum, another serum, aloe Vera gel, and two heavy moisturizers. I thought that would make me glowy. Wrong. Instead what happened was my skin started growing bacteria. Fungal acne, my new worst enemy. There was too much going on. I had little spots on my forehead I couldn’t get rid of. So like any other skin care junkie I decided to combat it with even MORE products. When that didn’t work, I thought about how my skin was in high school. A single pimple during my time of the month and that was it. Why wasn’t my skin fussy back then? It’s cuz I didn’t do much back then. I scaled back. I used simple skin care with simple ingredients. I used skin care from the same brand to see if the way they work together benefitted me. Low and behold, my fungal acne was defeated. But then came eczema. As I’ve gotten older, my seasonal allergies have taken over my life. Not only do I have to go out of my way to keep itchy eyes and sneezes at bay, but eczema so graciously decides to find a home under my eyes. Insert eye creams. Insert... two eye creams. Truly a dynamic duo. All the products tagged here are my holy grail items. I’m loyal to them and will die for them. They continually fix my skin when she’s acting up and give her a pat on the back when she’s behaving. I’m back on my cycle of getting one blemish per month and I keep that at bay with DifferinGel & acne patches. Sometimes when we cut back, our skin will thank you. Tips: Don’t wet your face before putting this cleanser on. Weird. I know. But don’t. Let your dry skin drink this in first. Then add water to foam it up after it’s completely rubbed in. Your skin will feel 10 times more moisturized after cleansing this way. Don’t towel dry your face. Let it air dry. Pat the water in. Use a hand fan. A sopping wet face? Yeah. That’s what we want. Letting your face air dry allows your face to drink that water! The Hyaluronic acid serum retains water from the air and the water already on your skin. Youre giving your serum a boost if you let your face air dry. That’s where the moisture will be retained from.
CeraVe-Eye Repair Cream
Tony Moly Moisture Boost cleanser
Not only is this cleanser cute, but it also works well 👀 . This is a gentle morning gel cleanser. It doesn’t foam and it doesn’t remove makeup. The first time I tried it, I didn’t like it. I’m used to cleansers foaming up even a tiny bit, so when this didn’t foam up AT ALL, I was confused. However, I decided to give it a few more tries before tossing it. The more I used it, the more I fell in love with it. As I said, it doesn’t foam up at all, but that’s the beauty of it! It’s perfect for whenever your skin is irritated or you just want a basic morning cleanser to remove last night’s skincare. As you massage the cleanser into the skin, it sort of disappears/turns into water. After washing it off, the face does feel cleaner, but not dry or tight. . This cleanser has 5 types of centella asiatica as well as ceramides, both of which are great for dry or irritated skin. I really enjoy how weightless and simple this cleanser is. Since I’m mostly home these days, I reach for this one more often than not. . Gifted

Simple Moisturizing facial wash
Thoughts: I had never tried out any Simple products and this would be my first and definitely not my last. I didn't know nothing really about the brand but when I was gifted this along with other goods I did what anyone else would do, read the back. I noticed this spoke about how the pouch is flexible and is made from 62% less plastic, which is cool. I loved seeing that they care about the earth and want to not be wasteful. I also did research online about them and enjoyed how there was no nastiness in their products. I was also drawn in by the adorable packaging and goodness inside, ofcourse. I decided I would try it out immediately since I was suffering from a hormonal breakout, itchyness and irritation. I lathered this onto my face and saw my skin didn't react or get worse it actually felt soothed. I was already enjoying it and even more when it foamed up. I rinsed it off and my skin looked a lot better, clean, nourished and red pimples seemed to have smoothed out some and not be so red surprisingly. I used this cleanser for a good 2 weeks already, my skin is getting tamed and I'm happy. I know this will be my go to cleanser/tamer to my skin when my menstrual comes around each month. Sensitive Skin 101: How To Treat And Relieve

COSRX - AC Collection Blemish Spot Clearing Serum CentellaAC-RX complex formula +Niacinamide + Ceramide. Niacinamide helps reduce hyperpigmentation and helps brighten skin. Ceramide helps lock in moisture and protect your skin from environmental damage. Another gentle and non-irritating product! The serum is liquidy and not tacky. I need about half a dropper of serum to cover up my face and neck. I didn’t really see a significant change in my hyperpigmentation but then again, my PIH are just generally very stubborn and I have been working on fading my PIH the last couple months. I did not find this serum hydrating so I tended to layer it with another hydrating serum product. This was not a big win to me like the other products in the collection.

Hydrate with Boscia ✨
Boscia - Sake Hydrating and Brightening Serum Boscia sent over the most generous package a few months ago and I've been loving incorporating this serum in my night routine. What is it? A serum formulated to 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘺𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘯. Some of the highlighted ingredients are sake, sea whip, and caffeine which are surprisingly within the first 10 ingredients listed. I also researched the ingredients I was unfamiliar with to educate myself and you all, mainly from Paula's Choice, where professional journals of Dermatology and science libraries are referenced. The ingredients list is excellent. What do you get? 1.7 fl oz of product for $50. Boscia is relatively inexpensive and can be found at retailers such as Ulta. This is definitely one of their most expensive items while the rest of the products are more affordable. For the amount of product I use each night (1-3 drops), I personally think this will take several months to get through. Comparing it to other Boscia products, I can see this being priced more around $36-$40. My Experience: Great so far! I really love using this at night to help hydrate my skin (paired with a great moisturizer is * chef's kiss*). It absorbs well and truly leaves my skin feeling quenched. I have some dry patches on my chin lately and this helps smooth it out and hydrate the area overnight. Occasionally I'll use this in my morning routine if my skin is feeling like it needs a pick me up or excessively dry. It gets the job done for sure! boscia - Sake Hydrating and Brightening Serum
