A quick braid to juje up my hair on a busy day!
Hair type: curly/frizzy/kinky/3C I don’t braid my hair often as a hairstyle that I rock on a day to day basis; however, when I’m busy and running around all day but still want to juje up my hairstyle I throw in a braid at the front of my hair just to feel like I’m having some fun with my hair 😊 1. Separate the bang part of my hair 2. Start braiding it 3. Throw my hair in a relatively loose ponytail to preserve a little “fun”

❓Spiral Hair Ties Worth the Hype❓
❓I'm pretty sure you have seen these spiral hair ties floating around here and there🤔. These things always looked funny to me and I saw them more like keychains people used to use. I saw these cute heart 💕shaped pastel colored ones on sale at Ann Taylor and was like why not? So I impulsively bought them and tested them out. ❓These claim to not leave any kinks or creases in your hair like what regular hair ties do. Being how I am, I was super skeptical when I tried it out the first time🤔. I have naturally thin straight hair so hair ties don't really like to grasp onto my hair. Hair ties usually fall out pretty easily if they are not brand new and tight. ❓I started off by washing my hair and letting it air dry before I went to bed. I put my hair up in a ponytail with one of the spiral hair ties and went to bed for about 8 hours and took the hair tie off when I woke up. ‼️I was SO SURPRISED😳. There was little to no crease in my hair and my hair basically looked the same! Except being slightly messy from sleeping, my hair pretty much stayed the same! 🤭 ‼️Therefore, I would highly recommend trying these spiral hair ties if you are someone who ties their hair up for short periods of time outside and lets it down often. I don't know if you noticed but the pink one that I tried out did become bigger after one use. I did hear that if it gets stretched you can leave it out under the sun ☀️ or put it in hot water and it'll scrunch back up? Not sure if that is true yet. I will be testing that out. Another thing is I feel like this hair tie grips onto my hair fairly well since the hair strands gets "stuck" in between the coils. I did notice some shorter hairs slipped out after I woke up from sleeping but I feel like the hair tie did pretty good considering I slept in it for 8 hours. 🛏 ‼️Go try one out!
Cute hairstyle for curls! ✨
Most of the time I just of the time I pull my hair up into a messy bun when I’m heading out but if I’m going out or dressing up, I like to make that bun bit more “formal.” 🥰 For this look, I used minimal water based products and more hair spray because I wanted the texture of my curls to pop through. Because of that, I did this hairstyle on second day curls instead (less frizz, but more definition.) 👌🏽 ✨ STEPS: 1. Using fingers or wide-tooth comb, GENTLY rake hair up into a high ponytail and tightly secure with an elastic. 2. Use some hairspray to make sure hair stays in place. 3. Twist loose hair/pop trail around elastic and secure with bobby-pins and/or another elastic hair tie. 4. Fluff bun to give more volume and secure any fly-always with more hairspray and bobby-pins. 5. (OPTIONAL) use decorative hair pins to spice style up even more. 🤗 FIN! ☀️ This look usually takes me around 10mins because I am taking my time since I have less room for mistakes. If I was using water on my hair I wouldn’t worry, but because this has a more “dry” look to it, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t damaging any of my hair. Hair Type: Medium Thick/Curly [3C] Products Used: CONAIR - Impressions Comb I live using wide tooth combs for detangling and on occasion, styling. They are easy to use, cause less damage to hair, and easy to travel with as well. I always go for the Connie brand because they work well with my hair and glide through easily; Plus, you can’t beat the price point. 💸 TRESemmé - TRES Two Ultra Fine Mist Hair Spray Most of the products I use are organic and all-natural so it rare when I use a drug store product like this. BUT, it was in my bathroom at the time and really helped me achieve the look I was going for. Anyone have recommendations on an organic/natural hairspray that holds well? 🎀 If needed, use a little spritz of water to help with “combing” but don’t saturate your hair because it will defeat that dry look we’re going for. What’s your favorite hairstyle to rock?! 💛
OVERNIGHT BEACH WAVE TUTORIAL 🌊
I love this beach wave hairstyle! It is my go to style for a party or event. It is easy to do and doesn’t need any heat styling tools so you can have gorgeous waves without any heat damage. My hair in the photo is very thick and has a deep wavy texture. To achieve this look I used: ⭐️ Miss Jessie's - Curly Meringue This is a great product for wavy and curly hair. It conditions my hair and makes it easier to comb through. It also adds shine and removes any frizz. It helps any styles on my curly/wavy hair last longer. For this style I either use this product or Miss Jessie's - Pillow Soft Curls which essentially does the same thing but even better! ⭐️ jane carter solution - Shine on Curl Elixer is a hair oil that contains Aloe Vera, Argan oil and Macadamia oil. It adds shine to my hair and it also protects my hair from heat damage when I am styling with heat tools. This is great for people with dry curly hair. It will condition your hair and make it easier to brush out. ⭐️ Spray Bottle ⭐️ Wide Tooth Comb or Hair Brush ⭐️ 2 Hair ties Step by Step: 1. Fill your spray bottle up half way with water. Add a scoop of your hair cream and a little hair oil. Shake the bottle to combine. 2. Spray mixture into hair until damp (DO NOT SATURATE HAIR WITH MIXTURE)! 3. SIMPLE SUMMER BRAIDS👧🏾
When it’s hot outside all I want to do is get my hair off of my back! Especially with long thick wavy hair. A cute style I love in the summer are Dutch braids (aka 2 large cornrows). It is super quick and easy to do. Step by Step: 1. I spray my hair with my conditioning mixture (i combine water, hair cream, and hair oil) 2. I comb out my hair. Starting with the ends and working my way up 3. I take a small section of hair from my temple and clip it up (for bangs) 4. I section off my hair into 2 sections on either side of my head and begin to braid down from front to back picking up more hair as i go 5. I place a hair tie at the end of my braid 6. Repeat on the other side 7. Un clip bangs and part them in the middle 8. Optional: use a Flat Iron to curl bangs outward, away from face and add headband! Easy And Perfect Hairstyle For Curly Hair🤩🤩
This is honestly a perfect hairstyle for curly hair! I really like to spend time doing my hair. A couple of my friends told me that it was hard for them to find a nice hairstyle. I recommended this hairstyle to them, and they all loved it! But honestly, it looks different for different hairstyles. I personally think it looks the best with curly hair. And here is how to do it. Step 1: Everyone has slightly different curls. You should pin up sections of curls according to your curls. Find the best ones for you. Step 2: Don’t brush curly hair! You can use a leave in conditioner spray if you have any tangles. Step 3: Separate a section on top of your head down to around your temples. Give it a twist at the back and pin it in place with bobby pins. I like to leave it loose to keep some volume on top. Step 4: Take a section of curls near your ear and twist them over and around the first bobby pins. Pin them in place with bobby pins. Step 5: Depending on how much hair you have, split the rest of your hair into smaller sections. Twist each section up into a loose bun and pin in place. Step 6: Look out for any curls poking out and push them back in. Use a pin to keep them up if you need to. If you have long or thick hair, you can use hair elastics to create some small ponytails in step 5. This helps hold your hair up so you can pin the curls more easily. Also, you can use spin pins if you have thick hair. I hope you find this helpful. If you have any other tutorials for curly hair, let me know!!
