Truth: I use eye cream for fun 😆

I often wondered about the hype of eye creams, and luckily I was able to try these two products for free back when I was working at a clean beauty shop. Emphasis on lucky that they were free! Yes, because I probably wouldn’t invest in eye care simply because there’s only so much it can do. However, I’m still using up these products and I’m having fun noticing minor changes! sahajan - Radiance Eye Cream
Y’all already know I love this brand so I was excited to try this. This cream is smooth to the touch and gentle on the eyes. It contains Triphala and neem oil, which are supposed to brighten the eyes. I personally don’t use it consistently enough and prefer to use it at the end of a makeup day. I find that I put my eyes through relatively a lot (tugging and rubbing while learning makeup skills) when I do an eye look, so it’s a nice way to treat that area afterwards. The honey🍯 in this has helped with slight dryness following consecutive days of makeup experimentation. SKIN ESSENCE ORGANICS - Ocular Eye Serum
This is an oil, which I didn’t know how to feel about at first: Should I apply it on damp skin too for better absorption? But it’s packed with generally good ingredients, such as rosehip, jojoba, hemp oil, as well as borage oil. I’ve gained an interest in borage seed oil because an esthetician of mine has suggested it internally for milia réduction, so sometimes I apply it on the milia on my face to test it out 😹 This oil also contains zinc oxide which provides a little bit of SPF ☀️ One thing I did notice from regular use is my eyelashes grew longer 🤔 can’t complain! Given the ingredients mentioned, I can already recognize them in my general moisturizing products, so it’s up to you whether or not you’d just rather use a lightweight cream in the eye area. Ultimately, eye care products are not a necessity, but a luxury ✨

Sustainable Skincare: Skin Essence 🍃
Clean/sustainable beauty isn’t anything new. Perhaps it’s trendier, the more ice caps melt and more people get sick, and unfortunately yes there is a lotta greenwashing going on & that’s a whole other topic. But just ask these guys, they’ve been focusing on working with organic ingredients while considering the environment for over TWENTY years. I trust their good intentions. I learned about this company when I was working at an ethical beauty store. During my training with the brand, I found out that they are a small business running everything mostly as a family on purpose: so they can focus their efforts on the best production possible, locally in small batches, without compromising quality but for affordable budgets. Skin Essence is Ceritified Organic, which goes beyond chemical free farming. Their processes of farming, handling, manufacturing, record keeping, cleaning products, label accuracy, & product packaging are independently checked by a organic certification organizations. Thus they have met EcoCert & USDA Organic standards. EcoCert focuses on certifying organic skincare and cosmetics, which includes organic plant ingredients AND non agricultural ingredients, such as clay, zinc & vitamin E. USDA Organic is a highly regarded organic standard in North America, confirming high quality and sustainable agriculture-based products. So these products are good for you and the production employees! 👏🏽 On top of that, Skin Essence tries to meet environmental standards by • using recycled, bio-degradable paper from sustainable forests where possible for their packaging and shipping materials • using bottles are made of recyclable, and eco friendly tinted glass, which protects the product from UV rays and causes no toxicity • producing products in an energy efficient facility to lower their carbon footprint So now to the products themselves! So far I have tried their SKIN ESSENCE ORGANICS - Ocular Eye Serum which is a nice, non-sticky oil blend consisting of rosehip, jojoba, hemp oils. The ingredients that attracted me to this were the borage seed oil, which is supposed to help with gradually breaking down milia, non-nano zinc oxide, serving as a light SPF, and blue chamomile oil, serving as a calming effect making the eyes look a little more restful. Sometimes I use this on my face bc the ingredients are so good! & SKIN ESSENCE ORGANICS - Facial in a Jar Exfoliant & Softening Mask this is a nice 2 purpose product, which can be used as an exfoliant with a small water ratio or a mask with a bigger water ratio (check the instruction on the box). These micro grains made of soothing ingredients like oat powder, marshmallow root powder, white kaolin clay are super fine, leaving the skin baby smooth after with no tearing, from what I’ve noticed. Use as a 15min mask if your skin is super sensitive though. Because it’s a powder, it merits sustainability points for being a water-free product! #CheriePartner

Sahajan 🥥 FAVE OR MEH?
I’ll just start with the verdict: FAVE 🌟 Why? a skincare line that shows more immediate results compared to most brands it’s where Ayurvedic wisdom meets science it’s local to Canada (made in Toronto), with ethical ingredient sourcing sahajan - Balance Toner Key ingredients: Moringa oil (antioxidant, removes impurities), Rose water (soothing), Orange+lemon+bilberry extracts (gentle exfoliation) smoothens out skin texture overtime, with gentle exfoliation. I like to use it for minimizing breakouts and quickly clearing up blemish scars. Also it’s such a good deal for your buck at $40 CAD. I’ve had mine since November and with nearly daily use, I still have half of a bottle left! sahajan - Nourish Face Cream Key ingredients: Triphala (antioxidant), Gotu kola (firming), Coconut oil (nourishing) I started using this in the winter as I assumed it to be a little too dense back when I was introduced to it in the summer; however, it absorbs into the skin so well! I like to use it on top of my hydration serum, especially before applying makeup, as it slightly mattifies the skin with a hint of a natural glow. sahajan - Radiance Eye Cream Key ingredients: Coconut oil (hydrating), Honey (repairing), Triphala (brightening), Neem (anti-inflammatory) Though, this is a pretty new addition to my skincare routine, I really enjoy this eye cream experience. It absorbs super well and is really hydrating. Great for wearing at night after going crazy on the eyes with makeup or just to look more awake! 👀 I’d also like to add that usually I wouldn’t use coconut oil on my face, as it broke me out in high school, but this line uses it in an effective, non pore-clogging way 👏🏽

Currently testing context skincare Vit C eye serum. I’ve been using it now for over a month and here are my thoughts: A revitalizing and hydrating lightweight formula contains a powerful combination of preventative botanicals. Keeps eyes protected and nourished with potent antioxidants to protect the delicate area against free radical damage. Leaves skin nourished and refreshed all day Texture/ consistency: the product is called a cream by its def more of a serum. Very watery and lightweight. Overall it’s a decent serum. I use it Day and night. It absorbs well and doesn’t pill with my other products. I haven’t noticed any crazy changes but if I don’t use it I do see my eyes are more dry underneath. I’ve never struggled with dark circles but if anything they haven’t made them noticeable. Since it’s hydrating, non-irritating, and doesn’t pill with other products I would recommend it. It’s $35 for 15ml which isn’t bad and had lasted me a while. I would possibly repurchase by I have so many eye creams to try still!

I have been loving this Clean
I have been loving this Clean & Calm Cucumber Cooling Eye Cream lately! It smells SO good (if you like cucumber scented products, this one is 👌🏻) & feels really good to apply. It contains a peptide complex, squalene, collagen & cucumber extract to target fine lines/wrinkles, depuff & brighten dark circles, as well as hydrate & soothe the skin around the eyes.

A. By BOM duo - eye cream and eye serum. A. by BOM Ultra Time Return Eye Serum is a great moisturizer but also a product that helped me with dark circles - my dark circles under my eyes aren't really a problem since I get them only when I have no sleep or if it's an allergic reaction, but this serum really did its work, I also used it on my cheekbones to add the glow to my skin, A. by BOM Ultra Time Return Eye Cream is more delicate if it comes to scent and the texture is different, it is moisturizing but still serum is my favourite. You can use them separately or together, if you're very young I would recommend using one product - cream or serum - because mixing them two might be too heavy for younger skin and it might end up with milia if you're an adult who needs more power then mixing both is a good idea.

I have been trying this Tula Glow & Get it stick for over a week and so far it does what it claims!! 👉🏽This product It’s for instant cooling and glow under your eyes. I got it because I’m outside a lot and I want to keep something handy that can give me a fresh look fast during the day. I have to say that it really does what it claims....the cooling sensation is real, it doesn’t last forever but at least for 5 to 10 minutes. It does give you an insta silver glow that I like But here is where this product rocks! The cooling and glowing part is nice but the BEST PART is that hydrates my under eye skin super fast and SMOOTH my fine lines. It gives me like a little fast eye lift 😉 !!! It’s amazing 🙌 The One thing that I’m not fan is the smell. The Scent is WEIRD... I can’t describe it but it’s not what I was hoping for. Luckily you can’t smell it since it goes around your eyes and it’s not close to your nose but I was totally hoping for a better fragrance. The ingredients are amazing: probiotics 💙 caffeine, apple 🍎 and watermelon 🍉. TULA SKINCARE - Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm Extra tip: keep it in the refrigerator for extra cool sensation. ❄️ Plus I always keep all my probiotics refrigerated even if they don’t need to be. 🤷‍♀️ I’m giving 4 ⭐️ because of the fragrance otherwise it will be a total 5 👌

jurlique Herbal Recovery Signa
jurlique Herbal Recovery Signature Eye cream In all honestly this eye cream as first impressions was my favourite product of the range, but lately out of sorts the least favourites products turn to be the ones my skin loves the most. For the first two weeks I was alternating this cream with alumiermd Brightening Eye cream, however considering the actives in the latter and staring my Epiduo journey at the same time I decided to use exclusively the jurlique in the am and pm due to its hydrating nature and less actives. Luxurious, best of quality, spatulas for each pot, most appropriate products to display on your vanity. 🤩 Stellar ingredients feature Cedar Bud, Yarrow and Silk Tree extracts, basically their signature blend for the Herbal Recovery range. Few claims: 🌹nourishing, provides hydration; 🌹smoother, firmer skin; 🌹address fine lines, wrinkles 🌹helps with puffiness and dark circles. For those who are looking an eye cream that is free of parabens, artificial colours and fragrances, silicones, petrolatum, synthetic glycols, etc you might want give this a go. The texture is absolutely fabulous, silky and light, had a pearlescent finish and is beautiful under concealer or makeup. Personally, I only suffer with puffiness and dehydration lines or lines induced by my bad sleeping habit. From where I stand, this beautiful gem worked well in terms of hydration. While using Epiduo, my eye area was very sensitive in spite of my efforts to create a barrier when applying my eye cream. I can’t comment with regards to dark circles, however in terms of puffiness or fine lines claims, I am afraid I didn’t notice a huge difference.

Dry under eyes? Try this. 👀💧💣
Dry under eyes? Try this. 👀💧💣
Here lies the body of belif - Eye Bomb Gwp . It was just a little bitty things, but it has a purposed. Belif wanted this product to smooth fine lines with more than a full day of moisture, layer nicely under makeup and increase skin’s elasticity. A-okay for people with dry, normal, combination, oily and sensitive skin. I got this product about a year ago and I definitely finished it faster than my other belif products. But is was small so 🤷🏾‍♀️ . I have oily, dehydrated skin with wrinkles under my eyes so I wanted to get something to hydrate them. I do have eye creams that I like more than this one, but I wouldn’t scoff at the chance to purchase it again. It has a light texture and the gel formula creates an instant cooling effect when it is applied. Tip: Get an enhanced cooling feeling by keeping the eye cream in your refrigerator. Purchasable in 25 mL/.84 fl.oz. at the following locations: 🔘 Sephora for $48 🔘Ulta for $48 🔘 belif.com, but price was not listed because it is sold out. Recommend? 👍🏾 Rebuy or deny? Rebuy, but not until I finish my ORIGINS - Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Eye Cream
