Martian toner is outta this world 👽💕
Happy hump day! Hope you all have been well. I recently picked up a second job to help with this pandemic. So that’s what’s been happening since my last two posts. Haha. I digress. Let’s get to the review! SUNDAY RILEY - Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner This toner is more of watery gel texture than just straight up liquid texture. It felt super lightweight. This toner claims to remove oil, reduce and tighten the appearance of pores, clarifies, and keeps you shine-free! The main ingredients that make this bomb toner: Bentonite clay: helps soak up all the oils serving you matte looks 👀 Cucumber and Witch Hazel: both work together to help cool, tone, and tighten the skin 🥒😌 Got some anti-bacterial properties of black cumin, magnolia bark, manuka, and neem on there to help keep blemishes at bay ✌🏽 Green Tea: helps with blemishes, redness, and sensitivity providing your skin with rich antioxidants and anti-aging properties 🤗 Marshmallow toot: helps with redness and skin sensitivity by soothing and cooling the skin 🙏🏽 Impression: This lightweight toner won me over! I apply this toner after I cleanse. One pump is usually good for me. It’s a watery gel texture and absorbs into the skin fast! 😍 It didn’t feel sticky at all. This really keeps my pimples at bay especially since we have to reuse our n95s here at my facility. Also with consistent use of this, I noticed a reduction in my pores! On top of that, I truly feel like it keeps my face relatively matte for the day. Except for those days where I’m wearing a plastic raincoat, two patient gowns, shoe covers, n95 + surgical mask, and a face shield as a PPE 🥵 then I just sweat through all the skincare I put on my face lol. 😅 Thank you guys for reading this lengthy post! I hope to have more time to destress and write reviews to share the products I love with you guys. Friendly reminder to continue to practice proper hand hygiene before and after applying skincare or makeup on our face 🥺👉🏼👈🏼 I hope you all have a great rest of the week! 💕

Dr. Dennis Gross | Alpha Beta Daily Peel 🧡
After long 13 or sometimes 14 hour shifts, I be tired AF. I would get home hop in the shower, put pjs on, and knock out! I have been adding extra shifts to help out with the influx of patients at the hospital lately. Healthcare is a tough profession. You give so much within those long hours that you need a couple days off just to refuel. Thus, makes it easier for us to forget about taking care of ourselves. Sometimes I just hop out of the shower and I don’t even want to attempt a 10-step skincare. This is where this product comes into play. Dr Dennis Gross - Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel contains glycolic acids (AHA) which work on the surface of the skin improving visible signs of aging. It also has salicylic acid (BHA) which penetrates deeper into the skin targeting pores and acne causing blockages. Lastly this has another AHA into the mix, lactic acid. We naturally produce lactic acid in our muscles when we workout or do physical activity. So the next time you’re doing your 10-step skincare and your arms are starting to hurt/burn... that’s lactic acid buildup right there. I digress. With all of these awesome ingredients packed into the wipes, it claims to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, large pores, and oil control/shine. I would say out of all the claims this product aims to do... it exceeds my expectations in all claims! It’s super easy to use! After using an oil-based cleanser I go in with step one. I’m using an oil based cleanser because I feel peels can be harsh on the skin and that oil will retain moisture. After the pad from step one is done, I wait 2 minutes for step 2. After step one I notice some areas of my face with tingling sensations and a little redness but it does not break my out. I feel it’s from the pads and the actual dead skin cells being pulled away and my skin my just be a tad sensitive to it. Haven’t had any problems with it so far. Step 2 is the wrinkle pad. I feel that step 2 really does a great job with soothing my skin after step one. Step 2 pads immediately give me healthy radiant skin vibes after use. I also feel that my skin felt tighter and not dry. I follow it with @laneige_us cream skin toner & moisturizer and @drjart every sun day mineral sunscreen. Viola¡ Radiant, balanced, and healthy looking skin with less than 5 products! With the Sephora sale going on right now... I would def recommend for you to take this opportunity to test these two pads out. They are on the $$ side but effective (I’m only on my 4th day and I’m already seeing great results). My complexion is more even, my pores are starting to look smaller, the wrinkles on my forehead are also slowly going away after 4 uses. I actually just purchased the 60 day box because I’m that convinced ($150 value). I love how fast I’m seeing the results. I definitely will be rebuying when I run out of my 60 pack!

BLONDE OMBRÉ/ BALAYAGE’s BFF
Hey guys! Sorry it’s been a while since I posted. Life got really busy and crazy. But with this quarantine, I’ve slowly been able to get back to posting my reviews. Over the past month or two, I’ve been trying to test out more of the products I’ve been receiving from my sub boxes. I’m also trying to branch out and get into hair care. So with that let’s get into this review. The amika: - Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo and amika: - Bust Your Brass Blonde Purple Conditioner IS THE BEST DUO FOR COMBATING MY BRASSINESS! I recently decided to give all my money to my hair dresser. As I was looking at Pinterest to see what color I wanted to do, I was ask at the Sephora website online window shopping the maintenance products that this decision entails. My hair dresser ultimately recommended the products in her salon. She recommended I use the Matrix So Silver Shampoo. I’ve been using Matrix before so I was familiar with it. However I just felt like that stripped my hair from its moisture and left it noticeably dry after a while. I knew it was time for change. I came across the Amika bust your brass line when I was looking for another blonde hair maintenance product. I didn’t know much about it so when I got home I did my research on the product and read reviews. I found out that this shampoo and conditioner duo are free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, aluminum, talc, and more. Which was a plus in my book! The main awesome ingredients that make this duo stand out are wild cherry bark, avocado oil, and hydrolyzed keratin. •wild cherry bark- this is what gives softens and tones the hair. It also brings out the shine in your hair. •avocado oil which contains amino, folic acid, vitamin A, B6, D, and E which ultimate help with nourishing and moisturizing the hair. •hydrolyzed keratin- helps bring back elasticity and luster to your hair. After my first use of these products I noticed my hair feeling more soft, nourished, less frizz, and looking healthy 😍 my only gripe is that it doesn’t lather into a foamy wash unlike the matrix but I’m ok with it actually because it doesn’t feel like my hair is still dirty or weighed down... this is why I usually why I opt a lathery foam wash. This duo differently helped keep the brass at bay! Wow! I immediately felt the awesomeness of these two products after first use and I will definitely be buying more when my bottles run out!

Clarisonic Mia Smart VS Mia 1
Thank you to Cherie for giving me the Sephora gift card that allowed me to upgrade my cleansing brush! So happy to be part of this community and for that program. Thanks to the gift cards, I had received I was able to finally reach Sephora Rouge!!! Words can express my gratitude and appreciation!❤️🤗 Now on to the review! I haven’t yet tried the IT cosmetics products yet. I was able to try out the new Mia Smart. I truly love the color and the presentation of the Mia smart. Super slick, smooth, and classy! In terms of the modes, the Mia 1 also has 3 speeds. Both also have a timer. I believe they both sold these in lavender/purple colors. The differences: Mia Smart: •slim •gentler vibrations and bristles •has some silicon bristles which are great for exfoliation. •Smarter timer system • Charging dock/ stand Mia 1: •the OG •bulkier •no silicone bristles •gentle bristles •timer system I truly feel that the Mia Smart is a great upgrade from the first generation Clarisonic brushes. The Mia Smart were around the same price as the Mia 1 at the time that I bought it. I think I got this for above $100. But this set that I got was $120 with a handful of cult favorite samples too! Really great price! I’m thinking of getting the makeup brush one to speed up getting ready for any occasion... which means more time to sleep 🤗

Feeling Like A Pink Jumpsuit... Feeling Glossier
Every time I would turn on the TV or Hulu commercials, I felt like I saw the same Glossier commercial. The one when the guy said “feeling like a pink jumpsuit” and somehow it stuck with me. Every time I see Glossier, I say “feeling like a pink jumpsuit”. Haha. I’ve always wanted to try their products but it was just too high up my price range if I tried all 5 full sized products. Then came along Glossier. - The Skincare Edit I love getting value sets or samplers because I really want to get a feel of the products before jumping the gun. I don’t want to purchase something and for it to not work and just waste my money. I’m so happy Glossier came out with this kit. I can now feel like a pink jumpsuit lol. This set comes with the milk jelly cleanser, future dew spray, super bounce serum, balm dotcom, rose dotcom, and priming moisturizer rich. It also comes with two headbands- one cloth and another rubber. This retails for $50. Also right now, if you spend over $60 on their website you get a free balm dotcom scarf! It’s super cute and feels soft and luxurious. I have yet to try these products. I’ve heard so many good reviews! I’m so excited! I will create another post for my review of the products individually. I just really wanted to share this product because I felt like I got a great deal on a cult favorite!

Fleur & Bee | Sample Pack
Purchased this sample kit earlier this month. I am about clean beauty and so against animal testing. I came across @fleurandbee page as I scroll through my feed. I saw that they were offering their sample kit for only $5. I was so intrigued that I had to try. This was the sample set of their starter set. I actually ended up purchasing the full-sized set with the help of one of the customer specialist. This simple kit comes with a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, vitamin c cream, and eye cream. Did I mention, the ingredients of these products are vegan and derived from fruits and flowers? Some of you maybe wondering what @fleurandbee is about. The brand itself focuses on affordable, clean, and effective skincare. They donate 1% of their proceeds to a women’s organization that educations women about menstruation. They’re all about supporting women, which I love! On top of the natural ingredients, company values & morals, the products are also dermatologist tested and not animal tested. All of the things which I look for in trying out a brand, especially an up and coming one. The common ingredients found in this sampler set are: •Aloe Vera: great for soothing, calming redness, and removing dirt and oil. •Sunflower oil: helps with locking in hydration & moisture as well as improving the texture of the skin. •Vitamin C: which is high in anti-oxidants that helps with plumping the skin, reducing dark circles, and giving you that healthy radiant glow. •Vitamin E: Great for hydration and protecting the skin. •Rose Flower Oil: geared to hydrate the skin and remove impurities. •Gotu Kola (AKA Centella Asiatica) I was doing more research on this ingredient. Turns out has been used for centuries in Chinese medicine and known as the herb of longevity. Not only does it help tighten or remove built up on the skin, it also has other benefits. It claims to help with memory, depression and insomnia as well. I might actually try this as an herbal supplement. My experience: I am truly a fan of this skincare line. Super easy 5 step skincare routine that is affordable and effective. My skin looks plump, healthy, radiant, and hydrated. Definitely a must try!

How to Get Clear Skin Fast: 4 Scientifically-Backed Tips
There are some universal truths when it comes to skincare; keeping your skin hydrated is good, protecting it from the sun is necessary, and wearing too much makeup or not taking it off sufficiently is bad.

K Beauty Micro Water
I got this product in a kit with lots of other Dr. Jart products, my favorite K beauty brand. It is like a micellar water, used to cleanse skin without water. It is formulated with active hydrogen mineral water and lots of natural ingredients so my skin never feels dry after using it. Instead of using it as a cleanser, I use it as a second step to remove extra makeup and dirt after I cleanse. It’s super light yet it picks up everything my cleanser left behind. I will be purchasing the full size once I run out. Highly recommend this product!

K-beauty skincare: my first love
Korean skincare was my gateway into the world of skincare and I couldn’t be more thankful! Today I’m featuring a tried and true product that works for my sensitive skin. The product: It’s a lightweight emulsion that is fragrance free and especially beneficial for sensitive skin types! It won’t irritate or worsen any skin conditions because of the minimal yet soothing ingredients list. The consistency is like a water cream and goes onto the skin feeling like a burst of hydration. My honest opinion: I used this product last year when my skin was super clear and decided to recently repurchase it, hoping it will be my saving grace once again! I love it but I do recognize that it might not work for drier skin types since it isn’t very occlusive. On the other hand, I think it could make a great layer. I’d highly recommend it to oily + sensitive/acne-prone skin types. I think it’s worth the price since it’s about $16 and lasted me for at least 3 months. #Etude House - Soonjung 10-Free Moist Emulsion[products]#[FiveStars] #Etude House - Soonjung 10-Free Moist Emulsion[products]#[FiveStars]

This retinol is POWERFUL - it evens out skin tone and reduces fine lines. I always find my skin glowing the morning after I use it. The only minor issue is the texture. It's thick and not very easy to apply. But overall I'm a big fan and will definitely repurchase! ❤️LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo Dual Acne Treatment: I always get ONE pimple on my chin before my period and it's so annoying in that it always occurs at the same spot! (After popping it many times I successfully got myself dark spots on my chin🤦🏻♀️ ) This acne spot treatment works like magic and it completely saved my life. All the redness and inflammation were gone overnight. You can find it at pharmacy stores. Note: it dries out your skin so be sure to use a moisturizer.
HYPERPIGMENTATION REVIEW | T.O AHA/BHA Peel
I can’t wait to talk about one of my all-time favorite products for hyperpigmentation ✨ The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution The Ordinary’s AHA BHA Peel is such a unique product on the market. It is marketed as “an effective solution to help fight visible blemishes”. It is used for hyperpigmentation such as acne scars, dullness, and skin texture. I have used this to fight stubborn acne scars. In the second photo, you can see this is a thick yet easily spreadable product. This is meant to be applied to your skin as a face mask and washed off within 3-10 minutes. When you apply this to your face, you may feel a tingle. This happens to me often but if it starts to burn, take it off! This a very potent acid solution that essentially “burns” off the top layer of your skin. Sounds scary, but I love this product. I have been through 3 bottles and have used it for the past 2 years. I try to use it sparingly (approx. 2x a month) as to not increase my skin’s sensitivity. After about a month of using this, my skin changed! Results are almost immediate. My hyperpigmentation is almost gone completely after using this consistently! I would definitely recommend this to people with hyperpigmentation or skin texture issues, but NOT to people with sensitive skin. This is a very intense treatment and anyone with sensitive skin should not use this. It should only be left on for 5 minutes in my opinion which is long enough for it to do its thing 😊 The price simply cannot be matched! At only $7.20, this is a steal. I think this is worth a shot because of the low price, minimal effort involved, and amazing results ✨
