Favourite Lipstick? MAC’s Velvet Teddy
Favourite Lipstick? MAC’s Velvet Teddy
This shade was theoretically supposed to be perfect for me but unfortunately it did not work as well for me in all aspects. I first bought this bc Velvet Teddy was such a highly raved about shade that I really wanted to try. Plus, it came in a mini size which was always a bonus, but unfortunately did not work out so well 😭 Firstly, this shade was WAY too pink for me. I have a light skin tone so theoretically this was supposed to work for me, but this pulled so much pinker on my lips than it does in the tube, which is a shame! I also felt that this formula was so much drier than my other matte lipsticks i.e Charlotte Tilbury! I think I only used this a few times before I gave up on it. Thankfully I only got this in a mini size so I don’t feel so bad about wasting product 🥳 Would I recommend this? I don’t think so. I have quite a few other lipsticks in the same shade range that are much more comfortable to wear. However, I think if you want to try this out the mini works great for a start! It also helps that most of their more popular shades have the mini size so you can feel free to try 2 or 3 minis for the price of 1 full sized lippie! MAC - MAC Matte Lipstick

NARS: Radiance Primer SPF35/PA+++
NARS: Radiance Primer SPF35/PA+++
Oh where do I begin? The NARS Radiance Primer was my holy grail primer for a long long time. I recently made the switch to cutting out primers from my routine because 1) they add an extra step and 2) I use sunscreen in place of a primer now. The NARS Radiance Primer is a very pretty primer that not only comes with SPF 35/PA+++ but also fine shimmer particles to give you an extra glow. I first got this after being dissatisfied with BECCA’S Backlight Primer as I found it too shimmery. Tried the NARS one in stores, and voila! Was instantly sold. This primer has a lightweight gel-cream texture that goes on really well and absorbs nicely into the skin. When I was using it I found that this gave me a subtle glow under my makeup, which I loved! It also helped to gel my makeup together which I really liked. I have a light skin tone so the shimmer in this isn’t too bright nor is it too dark for me. As good as this is though, I stopped using this already though so I probably won’t repurchase it again but I would definitely recommend this to my friends even though its a tad expensive because it is a great primer - it doesn’t cake or feel too heavy on the skin, and it does an amazing job in keeping my makeup together. Plus, it has SPF! Who could pass this up? NARS - Radiance Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 35 Sunscreen

Favourite Lipstick: Boys & Girls Ultra (Sheer)
Favourite Lipstick: Boys & Girls Ultra (Sheer)
This sheer formula is GORGEOUS! I love Tom Ford’s Boys & Girls lipsticks because 1) I never finish lipsticks so these minis are just the right size and 2) they have SO many shade and formula variants; it’s so fun to collect them all! Plus the clutch sized lipsticks are so luxe. I love it. Currently out of all the formulas and shades I think this is my favourite. Ultra is a sheer but warm toned dark pinky nude that looks very nice on me! I think this formula is the most moisturising out of all the shades but it also doesn’t last very long. It’s kind of like a tinted lip balm but with less nourishing properties. If you ask me I think this formula is the one I would recommend to people the most. I like the other formulas but this one feels a little more natural and easier to pull off. Tom Ford has some wacky shades that don’t suit everyone so this formula might be easier to ease into some of the brighter shades. At $34 for a mini lipstick this might not be as worth it as other full sized ones but to me it’s not too bad - seeing as how I don’t finish the full sized anyway. Favourite Lipstick: Pillow Talk
Favourite Lipstick: Pillow Talk
This shade is the sister to my favourite lipstick of all time: Charlotte Tilbury’s Very Victoria! As mentioned, I love the Matte Revolution formula because these lipsticks feel like a satin matte on your lips - it’s not slippery and overly creamy, and its not drying, but just right for me. This doesn’t dry out my lips and doesn’t exacerbate my lip lines or anything with prolonged use. I first got this shade over Very Victoria because this was the IT shade of the entire Charlotte Tilbury line. Everyone was mad obsessed with this and at some point I was too! However, I much prefer Very Victoria to this — Pillow Talk pulls a little too pink for me. My skin tone is light, with neutral undertones, and my lips are not crazy pigmented. Pillow Talk is a warmer pinky nude that I unfortunately just don’t vibe with. However I am thinking of getting the Pillow Talk in Medium because the warmer berry shade looks so pretty! Nevertheless, I I definitely will and I have recommended this shade to my friends. It’s a very pretty pink that gives you such feminine vibes (that unfortunately doesn’t suit me sigh) Definitely worth the 34 USD price tag. Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution The Queen

Favourite Lipstick: CT Very Victoria
Favourite Lipstick: CT Very Victoria
Let me just start by saying this: this is my favourite lipstick EVER. I love the Matte Revolution formula where the lipsticks feel weighty on your lips (in a good way!) and it doesn’t feel slippery. Yet at the same time this formula doesn’t dry out my lips and doesn’t exacerbate my lip lines or anything. I got this when everyone I knew was raving over Charlotte Tilbury (she does have some good marketing skills). I got this in both Pillow Talk and Very Victoria but the latter is my favourite. I have a light skin tone with neutral undertones, but my lips are not pigmented and I often need slightly darker nudes to not look “dead inside”. I know some people say that this shade makes them look a little grey but on me it’s a perfect nude. This shade personally is a neutral pinky brown nude that matches my skin tone SO well. It’s literally my favourite lipstick to date since 2018! I definitely will recommend this to my friends - if not in this shade, then this formula in general! I love how it feels on my lips and to me it is definitely worth the 34 USD price tag. Am thinking of getting Pillow Talk Medium as well right now ;-) Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick- Pillow Talk Collection

Matching My Skintone: Nudestix Tinted Cover
Matching My Skintone: Nudestix Tinted Cover
Just got this really cute nudestix sample as a gift and I am loving it! It has a very nice satin matte texture with sheer to medium coverage that feels rly good on the skin. 🥳 I haven’t really tested this out proper on my face just yet but just by swatching it on my hand I know that this shade is a tad too dark 😭 I might have been better suited for shade 3 instead. However the texture isn’t too bad! It seems to blend out quite evenly on my hand at least. My first impression of this is definitely quite positive - at least for now! I would recommend this to people who want a foundation that is slightly heavier than your average tinted moisturiser but not as thick as a foundation. While the price might be a tad steep, I think its justifiable considering what a good experience I’ve had all my Nudestix products so far. 💗🙌🏼 NUDESTIX - Tinted Cover Foundation

My Simple Ritual
My Simple Ritual
I’ve been debating whether or not to post something like this, but maybe it’ll help individuals with a similar skin type and similar needs. My skin is very sensitive and slightly on the dry side. It is reactive, meaning that acne can pop up easily, and my sensitivity can get worse, depending on the products that I’m using. My main goal is to keep things simple, while also making sure I’m using effective products. In my opinion, a solid routine/ritual should include 5 steps: cleansing, exfoliating, treating, moisturizing, and protecting. Cleanse 🧼: Fresh’s “Soy Face Cleanser” is the star of this category. It’s so gentle, filled with skin-loving goodies, and leaves skin feeling clean. I can honestly say that it’s the only cleanser I’ve tried that doesn’t leave me feeling dry. I don’t wash my face in the morning, I simply use water. Skin can become damaged from over-washing. Exfoliate ✨: For this step, Foreo’s “Luna Mini 2” is quite the handy tool. After massaging the cleanser on my face with my hands, I’ll go in with this guy and get all the dead skin and other nasties off; while also getting a deeper massage. By using this product, I don’t feel the need to use acid-infused products. They’ve never worked for me! This is also great because it’s antimicrobial and you don’t need to buy new brush heads! Tip: use this to gently exfoliate your lips. Works wonders! Treat 🧪: I feel it’s very necessary to have a treatment, depending on what one’s skin is craving. The “First Care Activating Serum” from Sulwhasoo is quite the multitasker. It balances, tones, and assists with anti-aging, while also acting as an essence. So glad I discovered this. This also smells GREAT. Moisturize 💦: I’m not conventional when it comes to typical, cream or gel moisturizers. In fact, I’ve never used one that didn’t end up breaking me out. So, instead, I use face oils. The Herbivore “Phoenix Cell Regenerating Face Oil” has been a godsend. It’s loaded with fantastic oils that are great for repairing and keeping skin hydrated, plump, and toned. It’s also been working a lot better since I incorporated the Sulwhasoo serum into my routine. Protect 🕶: Lastly, we have Krave Beauty’s “The Beet Shield.” This was a total game changer for me. I hated wearing sunscreens prior to discovering this! This protects skin, doesn’t break me out, is filled with antioxidants, the list could go on and on. Also, it washes off very easily. If you loathe sunscreens, please try this! You will not regret it. So there you have it! That’s my simple ritual. Of course, it could be more simple. One could cut out the Foreo brush and the Sulwhasoo serum. But for me, personally, I feel there would be gaps in my routine without them. I also need to mention that finding products that can multitask is great. It can take steps out of one’s routine and save money, too! Although I tryout a lot of products, these are here to stay! I’ve seen such an improvement in my skin since using these.

Natural Deodorant
Natural Deodorant
The first time I used Hug Me I found it glided on easily as most deodorants I used did. My underarms can be quite sensitive and I found that this deodorant didn’t irritate my skin at all. Blume claims that you only need a couple of swipes to keep you dry for 24-hours and I have to say this is the case for the most part. I tested this product out in different scenarios. First, I applied it in the morning and by the end of the day I did not have to re-apply at all and I stayed dry. The next few times I used it I applied it again in the morning and didn’t re-apply before heading to my bootcamp class. After my bootcamp class I noticed my underarms were a bit damp. Keep in mind this was after 12-hours of wear time plus a 35- minute intense bootcamp class. I am thoroughly impressed that I was not as damp as I usually am after a workout. I would note that after using the deodorant a few times you will notice it feels a bit gritty, but nothing too bad that will make application uncomfortable or will irritate the skin.⁣ ⁣ Overall, I am very impressed with this deodorant because it keeps me dry. If you’re new to the natural deodorant game, it will take a little bit to adjust, but eventually it will work fine.

I’d rather get coal than...
I’d rather get coal than...
the Bite Beauty Agave Lip mask. Yes I’ll take COAL over that. This lip mask comes in a tube, the consistency is thick and sticky—like raw honey. I bought it at Sephora one day when I was waiting in line (it was in one of those bins with all the travel size products...and I was obviously suckered into buying it.) It’s marketed as “An intensive lip mask to soothe lips and replenish moisture. Experience #everydayagave for succulent lips.” I feel like it did nothing for my lips. My chapped lips were still chapped. I don’t think it lives upto its claims. I used it 5 times and i did not see any positive results! At night before sleeping, I’d apply it to my lips and it was a pain sleeping with my hair open, it would get stuck on my lips. I’d wake up to my hair stuck on my lips and most of the product wiped off by the morning...leaving behind nothing but my DRY chapped lips. Once I tried it a few hours before an event and liquid lipstick was a NIGHTMARE. My lips cracks were so noticeable! Another complaint I have is that I do not like lip products that I have to apply with my finger. I wish they made it in other packaging where the need for using your finger would be eliminated completely. I recommend that you save your $26 & stay away from this product, especially in the harsh winter weather: don’t play games with your crusty lips. I’m gonna have to give this product 0 stars! Overwhelming menthol
Overwhelming menthol
It’s supposed to help reset your your scalp and restore balance. Good for oily hair or hair that gets build up fast This is an aerosol just like the shampoo. Comes out like a gel but sort of melts into a foam as you rub it in The conditioner...the menthol is really in your face even after towel drying. I kept on getting whiffs of menthol even with post shower products in my hair. It’s a bit much. Not as hydrating as I’d like. I was left with frizz and slightly dry ends even with my normal post shower routine. The only pro was ease of application and the fact that it rinsed clean. Other than that, I don’t recommend it. There are other “reset” lines I prefer that don’t feel as drying. This one also isn’t color safe!amika: - Reset Cooling Gel Conditioner
