An Eye Cream Worth the Price Tag?
An Eye Cream Worth the Price Tag?
I’ve been using this eye cream for about 6 months, after receiving it in an It Cosmetics skincare bundle. CLAIMS: Smooths, brightens, and depuffs under eyes This cream goes on light, but feels very moisturizing even hours after application. It’s a great base for (good) under eye concealer, as it doesn’t contribute to patchiness or creasing, but instead helps the concealer go on smoothly. I have felt that my crow’s feet area has been “saved” from my expressiveness because of this cream. I was starting to get a bit crinkly and after months of using this, my crow’s feet just don’t exist anymore! I can’t really speak to if the cream depuffs and/or brightens the under eye. My eyes are generally not puffy and my dark circles are a combination of genes and allergies. Not much an eye cream can do there! But....is it worth the price tag?? 💵 This retails at Sephora for $48 for 0.5 oz. While I’ve enjoyed this product, I wouldn’t say that’s been SUCH a miracle worker that I necessarily feel compelled to repurchase for that price. If you’re interested in trying it and other awesome It Cosmetics skin care, I would suggest purchasing it Cosmetics - Your Hydrating Glow On The Go! All of the products in this package are amazing and you get a very generous sample of the eye cream in particular. This box retails at $28 and the eye cream seems to last an eternity. Overall, I liked this product but probably wouldn’t repurchase because hey....I’m kinda cheap. Leave your suggestions for budget-friendly eye creams below! ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

The Perfect Daily SPF.....with 1 Minor Flaw
The Perfect Daily SPF.....with 1 Minor Flaw
As a recent graduate of my 20’s, I finally started noticing my first true signs of aging this year. And truly, I probably could have pushed that back further had I ever been a faithful user of sunscreen! Oops....well, lesson learned. This was a recent addition to my routine (because ya know....sun damage) and I was nervous because most foundations and BB/CC creams with SPF break me out. But the reviews and price of $15 on Amazon spoke for themselves. The 👍🏼: This product goes on super light without even the slightest bit of white cast. It sits comfortably and smoothly under makeup and absorbs well over my moisturizer. The product goes a long way and the packaging has a control tip that allows you to take out a small amount at a time. This is also the first sunscreen I’ve used that did not cause me to break out! My ONLY 👎🏼: this is not even remotely sweat-proof. I made the mistake of applying this before doing yard work in the heat and within a few seconds, I could feel it beading on my upper lip, where I don’t usually sweat. A few minutes later, my face was beaded everywhere. However, it works great as a daily sunscreen. For times you know you’re going to sweat, I suggest Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 which melts into the skin while concealing redness. I’m proud to say I’m finally a dedicated sunscreen user at the ripe ole age of 30. Youngins, take my advice: don’t skip this step!

Hi all. My skin basically has every issue known to man right now 😂 I had a regime going for a long time that was working but now that line isn’t made anymore. Skin concerns: *Dry, potentially dehydrated/barrier issues *HIGHLY reactive and sensitive to many products (acne, rashes) *Acne *Large pores *Bumps on forehead *Bumps, rashiness, and redness on cheeks *Fine lines on forehead Current regime (that clearly isn’t working very well): *Cleanser: skinfix - Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanserin AM and OLE HENRIKSEN - The Clean Truth Foaming Cleanserin PM *Serums: The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, The Ordinary - ''Buffet''(only on forehead—freaks the rest of my face out) *Moisturizers: The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HAand The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane *toner: FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner The squalane is the only thing I’m 100% sure is working well for me. Everything else is a total shrug! I feel in particular that the hyaluronic acid is causing acne. I’m completely desperate and feel like a total skincare newb after years of having mostly okay skin. I’m looking primarily for budget and cruelty free options but at this point I’m willing to do whatever. Help please!!

The Ordinary: A Review
The Ordinary: A Review
Some thoughts on products from The Ordinary recommended for my dry skin: The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' As recommended, I applied this on my entire face for a few days but it immediately put my skin in a state of emergency! I broke out in painful cystic acne and my skin was itchy, dull, and dehydrated. I took a break for a couple days and my skin cleared immediately. I decided to try it again just on my forehead, which is where all of my fine lines are. So far my forehead has tolerated it just fine, with no reaction, though after only 3 days, I can’t see much of a difference. I’m rating this product a true 2.5 because my skin is so sensitive and reactive and I believe I may be an outlier. It seems to work for many people! Hopefully it will help my forehead and I look forward to seeing what happens in a couple weeks. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I wonder again if certain things just aren’t right for me. This is the second hyaluronic acid product I’ve tried that breaks me out! I also don’t feel like it adds any moisture to my skin at all. I even feel drier than normal. I’m applying this serum in the recommended order, but I’m just not feeling like it’s doing enough to justify a purging period/potential lasting intolerance that screws up my skin. Am I being too impatient? Do any other products work like hyaluronic acid if I am in fact intolerant? I just need general feedback and advice on this. The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA So far this product has done a nice job hydrating and soothing my pissed off skin without any break outs, though I don’t find it quite moisturizing enough on its own (I like my face to feel borderline oily, haha). However, it works well enough and for the price, I would repurchase at this point. The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane Dude, I am loving this stuff! After my break out from Buffet, this had my skin feeling soothed and calm again within 12 hours. I’m impressed with the moisture it provides and my very reactive skin is loving it. This is a new favorite!

An Instant, Affordable First Cleanse
An Instant, Affordable First Cleanse
GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm I’ve been wanting to try a cleansing balm for quite some time now for those heavy, full-face makeup days where micellar water just isn’t cutting it. But, I have oily, light, sensitive, extremely acne-prone skin and didn’t want to drop $50 on the cult favorite Farmacy Green Clean only to have it break me out and be unusable 👁👄👁 So when I saw Good Molecules had a cleansing balm for $15 I took the risk, and I’m glad I did! The Instant Cleansing Balm is a makeup remover “formulated with sea buckthorn oil, camellia oil, and shea butter” to break down makeup. It has a true balmy texture that melts upon contact with your hands and turns a milky white when it comes in contact with water. The packaging is cute, trendy, and functional, with an internal tray for a mini spatula (included) to avoid sticking fingers into the product. It has a strong, but not unpleasant scent of camelia flower. After two weeks of use I haven’t noticed an increase in breakouts, and I’ve been happy with the results. I use this balm as a first cleanse and then follow with a face wash to get extra clean. I think using a cleansing balm while simultaneously using stronger retinoids and acids to treat acne is a match made in heaven: my skin has been less tight/irritated with the extra moisture without increasing oil production. If you’re looking to try a quality cleansing balm at a decent price, I’d highly recommend this product. I think the only issue would be if you have a high sensitivity to floral scents. It’s not my favorite, but it doesn’t bother me and the price is right. Looking forward to seeing the good this does for my skin in the coming months 😊 #CherieCreator #cleansingbalm #goodmolecules #acne #florals #skinjourney #affordable #skincare #skincareproducts #cleanser #balm #indiebrand #review #skincarereview
