are pore bubbling masks worth it? 🧼🛁💬
since COVID has started, I know many people are on new (or refining old) skincare journeys and I’ve recently been experiencing some dryness/dehydrating as the winter rolls around, which also aggravates my already oily skin. I’ve worked in the beauty industry for a while and also was formerly an esthetician, so I can get picky with skincare and ingredients. ‼️for reference, my skin type is: combo (oily/dehydrated), formerly acneic, hyperpigmentation prone, and sensitive 🔬I’ve used Dr. Jart in the past and love that it’s a Korean, science-backed brand so I was stoked to try this Porecting Solution Mask! this mask promises fresh, clear glowing skin that deeply cleanses and purifies pores. the mask contains charcoal and saponine, which creates the bubbling effect you see in the above photo. this product does not contain sulfates, paragons, are phthalates. 🛁when I first took it out of its package, I thought there were *two* masks per package instead of one, but if you read the instructions, there’s actually a “mask film” on the actual mask itself that you’re supposed to remove, so make sure to do that! the actual mask is thick and full of product while the mask film is thinner and lighter in color. the directions also give you a tip to massage the mask to release the bubbling/foaming effect - I did this mask with my mom at the same time in separate rooms and she totally didn’t read the instructions so her mask didn’t bubble at all, so I would suggest to definitely massage the mask. 💬I left it on for 20 minutes and it continued to bubble about 5-10 minutes in, then stopped bubbling. you can hear the bubbles pop as the mask sits on your face, which is kinda weird but cool. the mask didn’t slip off AT ALL which is also a huge, even when I put a sweatshirt on over my head. after taking it off, the serum took about another 10 minutes to soak into my skin and my face felt super smooth and my pores looked tighter and more clean. I have a few sebaceous filaments on my nose that I sometimes pick at and as I was rubbing the serum into my skin, I saw that some of the sebaceous filaments on my nose were sloughing off (which is gross, but speaks to how well the product worked)! overall, I would definitely recommend and use this again! if you have oily skin or otherwise clogged pores, sebaceous filaments, blackheads, etc. I would suggest this for you. even if you have dry/normal skin, this would be a good option since my skin didn’t feel dried out at all afterward, even in my dry spell now, and felt rather hydrated and plump. five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

battle of the brow gels 🤺 // bushy brow look
I’ve been OBSESSEDDDD with brow gels ever since COVID hit since I refuse to do a full face of makeup only to sit on a few zoom meetings a day with my camera off in half of them. for a minimal makeup look, I do brow gels and lip gloss and call it a day! I’ve used a ton of brow gels in the past and none of them hold up my super straight and thin brows and make them look fuller and bushy (soap brow look). most of them deposit color onto my skin instead of actually geling down my brows, so here are a few of the brow products that DIDN’T work for me, and the two that did: COLOURPOP - Brow Boss Gel sadly didn’t do anything for me but deposit pigment on my skin. I know people rave about this one but it doesn’t actually gel my finicky brow hairs. Glossier. - Boy Brow sadly this barely deposited color on my brows and didn’t actually “gel” them into place (think: soap brows sticking up!) I don’t think my brows have enough hair or thickness for this brow gel, but if you have naturally nice brows, this might be a good one for you. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel while this brow gel did provide some “gel” aspect to it and helped my brow hairs stay lifted, it was somewhat hard to work with because the brush is larger than the typical brow gel brush. COVERGIRL - Easy Breezy Volumizing Brow Gel this is one of the better brow gels I’ve tried from the drugstore AND it’s more accessible and affordable. though I felt like it did lift my brow gels and keep them in place, the pigment was lackluster. I would still recommend this one for those that have Covergirl accessible to them and would like to invest in a more affordable option. PACIfICA - Highest Def Hemp Fiber Brow Set DING DING! my brow gel winner! ✨ this brow gel is EVERYTHING I’ve ever wanted in a brow gel. it lifts my brow hairs and keeps them in place and contains micro fibers that enhance my real brow hairs and make them look fluffy and thick with absolutely no other brow product. I was absolutely stoked when I found this product and have repurchased since. this is what I thought the Glossier Boy Brow hype would be like, and is available at Ulta for a fairly affordable price (and coupons and discounts can be applied toward Pacifica!). since using this brow gel, I’ve seldom used other brow gels or brow product and would totally recommend to any other *passionate* brow gel lovers like me. overall, I would 100% recommend the Pacifica brow gel and it’s become an absolute HG, especially working from home. although it’s affordable, the Covergirl one is a great alternative if you’d like something more wallet-friendly and accessible. I wouldn’t recommend any high end brow gel or the hyped Glossier one because I think there’s better options, especially if you have stubborn brows like mine. what’s your fave brow product?? would love to know!

FENTY gloss bombs - worth it? 🤔
a brand I’ve been fascinated with since release is FENTY BEAUTY. Rihanna does no wrong and as a marketing major and manager, I’ve reveled in what beauty marketers now call the “Fenty effect” - or, what happened as Rihanna set the beauty standard when she released her diverse shade range of her Unfiltered Foundation. before the foundation, though, came her Gloss Bombs! I was obsessed with the FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer when it first came out because it seemed to work on EVERYBODY. 👄 for reference, I have light/medium (warm/olive) skin tone and typically prefer warmer nudes and terracottas for lips. 🍭SWEET MOUTH: I was lucky enough to be able to try the Sweet Mouth gloss bomb and it’s a super pretty light, cool pale pink tone. the shimmer reflects are silver and subtle and when swatched and when applied with a light layer, looks like a clear gloss. I personally wouldn’t wear this one alone because it makes my lips look somewhat frosty, as you can see on the back of my hand. I’d use this as a lipstick topper on top of a nude lipstick. if you have a lighter complexion than me, I think you could totally rock this gloss on your own. I wore this one all day and didn’t get that gummy lip effect that occurs frequently when I wear lighter glosses, so that’s a plus! I wouldn’t recommend this gloss to anyone that is even a tad bit darker than me, as it’ll probably make your lips look ashy or frosted as I mentioned. 🌎UNIVERSAL: this is the OG Fenty Gloss Bomb and I still LOVE this one. it’s a warmer rose color that I think will be flattering for all complexions. if you’re a makeup artist looking to find a universal shade for your clients, this is it. I like wearing this one alone and on top of lipsticks because it’s a great light weight topper. 🍫HOT CHOCOLIT: this is one of my recent pickups from Sephora. it’s a darker, warm toned brown gloss that is super flattering on anyone with medium to deep skin tones. I can’t wear this one without makeup because it’s too stark of a color payoff to look ~normal~, but I love wearing this gloss if I’m wearing a warm toned eyeshadow and blush look. the shimmer reflects are more golden than Sweet Mouth, so it’s a lot more flattering in the sunlight if you have a darker complexion (or you have naturally dark toned lips). 👍🏼PROS: the FENTY Gloss Bombs truly do have a diverse range of colors. I think Universal is the best choice 👎🏼CONS: I took one star off of the FENTY Gloss Bombs because 1) there’s so many dupes out there that have a comparable formula (I love my MAYBELLINE - Lifter Gloss With Hyaluronic Acid gloss and it’s a quarter of the price). the FENTY Gloss Bomb also has super messy packaging because I’ve had them leak in my bags before + a lot of product gets stuck on the sides of the components when it drips out. overall, I’d give the glosses ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. I’d recommend if you haven’t tried them already!

mask-proof makeup for oily skin! 😷💫
whether you’re oily or not, I have the best mask proof makeup that have been my tried and true makeup items since before covid because of my oily skin! I don’t wear makeup under my masks often, but when I do, I make sure it doesn’t budge so if I do take my mask off, I don’t have any weird lines on my face. sharing some of my tips and tricks below 👇🏼 for reference, my skin type is oily/dehydrated with light/medium skin tone. foundation: my longest wearing foundation is ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation ! I’ve been wearing this foundation since high school and I find that if you use a small amount, it’s not too cakey or thick. I’ve had the best luck applying this foundation with a brush instead of a sponge? because a sponge soaks it up too much. PRO-TIP: super oily or want to prolong its wear even more? pat a thin layer of translucent setting powder BEFORE applying the foundation. I do this on my nose before putting on a mask, so it doesn’t rub off there. powder: holy grail powder is laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder ! I bake with this powder in the areas that my mask will rub against a ton (the sides of my face and along the bridge of my nose) and my makeup stays unmoving under my mask. bronzer/blush/highlight: PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer has always been many peoples HGs, and one of the reason it’s mine is because it stays put all throughout the day. if I use this under my mask, it doesn’t budge or transfer. I also pair with any blush and my fave ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Amrezy Highlighter lips: although my favorite is gloss, I can’t stand the feel of gloss sticking to my mask or transferring onto my mask so when I do wear makeup under my mask, I opt for a matte lipstick. to make sure it stays put and doesn’t transfer, I apply as usual and then blot away with a tissue. another option to make sure your lipstick really sticks around is to take a single ply of tissue paper or toilet paper, place it on top of your lips, and dust some loose translucent powder over it to further mattify it and help it stay out. brows: although my brows don’t go underneath my mask, my holy grail non budging brow product is ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade - truly waterproof and super easy to apply, just use a light hand and a tiny tiny bit of product. hope these product recs helped you guys! feel free to share some of your mask proof recs down below. ❤️

a truly unseen sunscreen! 🌞👀
I know a ton of people are searching for a new sunscreen after the PuritoPURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ one has been recalled, and I was lucky enough to test out the BLACK GIRL SUNSCREEN - Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30 ($15.99 USD) recently. as an esthetician, my biggest and #1 recommendation to combat anti-aging is RELIGIOUS use of sunscreen as early as you can start. 🧖♀️for reference, my skin type is: combo (oily/dehydrated), formerly acneic, prone to hyperpigmentation, light/medium skintone 🧴FORMULA: as seen in the photo, the Black Girl sunscreen is fairly thick and a little goes a long way. it’s not viscous by any means and is a thicker, creamier formula that goes on like a lotion. 👃🏼SCENT: this sunscreen has a typical sunscreen aroma, which is fairly strong and lingers throughout the day. if you’re sensitive to the smell of sunscreen, I wouldn’t recommend because the scent was strong, especially with a mask on. ⏱WEAR: my skin is naturally oily/dehydrated, so when I first put this on I was a little ~shook~ that it immediately made me so dewy and was scared that it would make me look like a frying pan. it did NOT, however, turn me into a greaseball or get too shiny throughout the day and gave me just enough for a glass skin, moisturized look. I don’t have a deeper complexion, which this sunscreen is known for, so I couldn’t attest to whether it gave me a strong white cast but I do experience a slight white cast with my Australian Gold - Botanical Tinted Face Sunscreen SPF 50 sunscreen which is tinted and a lot thicker, as seen above. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ overall, I would give this sunscreen 5/5 stars! I would definitely purchase it again even though I have oily/dehydrated skin. if you have dry, normal/combo skin, I think this would be AMAZING for you. if you have oily skin, I would test it out a bit if possible, because it may feel a bit heavy on your skin, but is a great option for a hydrating, winter sunscreen.

dehydrated skin no more! 🌵
did anyone else do a HUGE Paula’s Choice haul over Black Friday/Cyber Monday? I did! I picked up a few items from their 30% off sale but my favorite has been their PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 8 Percent AHA Gel Exfoliant 🧴skin type: combo (oily/dehydrated), formerly acneic, light/medium skintone PC’s 8% AHA gel can be used daily because of it’s gentle gel formula. unlike BHAs, AHA are a bit more gentle and moisturizing and I typically recommend AHA for those with dehydrated or dry skin. though my skin is oily, I have a TON of dehydrated areas between my eyebrows and around my mouth, so AHA is perfect for me since it hydrates and sloughs off any skin dryness at the same time. I put this on after cleansing my face and follow up with a heavy nighttime cream: FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Pink Grapefruit I used to use #acne.org - AHA+ (Glycolic Acid - 10%)[products]#[FourStars] but I felt like it was a bit harsh and I didn’t care for the smell. PC’s AHA is super gentle and doesn’t sting my face and I’ve used it daily since I received it. it feels really cooling going on and also has helped decrease my stubborn flaky skin on my forehead which was my end goal! ⭐️OVERALL RATING: 5/5! would purchase again, especially as a more affordable and accessible AHA option. love that I can use this daily!

Here’s how to take care of oily acne-prone skin☺
Most of us acne patients suffer from oily skin. Excess sebum produced by our skin may clog pores which eventually leads to acne. In this post, I’d like to share my top tricks in controlling my oily acne-prone skin and hopefully be able to help even at least one of you 🙈☺️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐎𝐬: 1. 𝐃𝐎 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐲. This has always worked for me. Sometime before, I tried not washing my face in the AM and it just made me so much oilier during the day resulting in more breakouts. Importantly, remember to wash your face every after workout too. Sweat combined with sebum is a perfect recipe for acne and skin irritation. 𝟐. 𝐃𝐎 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡. Although salicylic acid cleanser helped tremendously in my teenage years, it isn’t necessarily beneficial for me now that my skin is more dehydrated and my skin barrier compromised. Salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide cleansers may still help on days when you’re feeling extra oily but resist using it daily. Use a gentle foaming face wash from Vanicream, Hada Labo, Cerave. 𝟑. 𝐃𝐎 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲. You can have oily skin and dehydrated skin at the same time. Because your face is not hydrated enough, your glands may overcompensate for the lack of moisture by producing more oils. Do not ever skip this step! Your best option is to use an oil-free, non-comedogenic moisturizer like Paula’s Choice Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer, Neutrogena oil-free and hydroboost gel cream, and if you have rosacea too, use procure rosacare gel. 𝟒. 𝐃𝐎 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. SPF 30+ or up should always be worn especially for oily skin. Unprotected sun exposure can lead to more acne flare-ups. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide mineral sunscreens are your top options. Zinc doesn’t only protect skin but also helps calm irritated skin. My favorites are Elta MD physical and Purito Water, Clinique Broad Spectrum, .. If you like chemical sunscreen better, I highly recommend Eucerin and Sun BUm. 𝟓. 𝐃𝐎 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬. Keratolytic ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid that are available over-the-counter can be your best friends when used properly. It is important to note that when using an active, stick to a minimal skincare routine to reap the best results and use of one acne treatment at a time is a must, especially if you’re just starting out. If you have moderate to severe acne, I would go for Differin Adapalene gel or a retinoid such as Retin-A and Atralin. Retinoids may not only get rid of your acne but also heal and renew your skin in the deeper layers. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓𝐬: 𝟏. 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫-𝐞𝐱𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞. Over-exfoliating is probably something we’re all once obsessed with. Unfortunately, this habit can only lead us to a damaged skin barrier thus, compromising our skin’s own ability to heal itself. It’s best to limit the use of exfoliating ingredients twice a week when starting or one exfoliating acid/active at a time once a day after your skin has adjusted. 𝟐. 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. I say it all the time, fragrance in skincare is BAD and does nothing good for you. The use of fragrance in cosmeceutical products is unregulated and companies are not required to disclose all components used in their products. The formulation may have a lot of unknown toxic chemicals that can be harmful to you. Without knowing and often initially not externally evident, fragrance can irritate your skin deep down, cause toxic hormonal effects, and may even cause cancer. Fragrance is a NO-NO for everyone and most especially for acne-prone people or those with other skin diseases. I have suffered the consequences of my bad choices myself. Do yourself a favor and ditch your fragrance-containing products too. 𝟑. 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐥-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬. Certain types of alcohol such as ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, and alcohol denat. are extremely drying and irritating especially to acne-prone skin. 𝟒. 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐮𝐩. Always make sure you wash away all makeup and accumulated dirt on the face before you sleep. 𝟓. 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬. Change your pillowcases frequently. I always make sure I sleep on new ones every week. 𝟔. 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞. Picking at your acne can only add dirt and germs to your skin and may cause more issues. Frequently wash your hands if you’re an absent-minded face rubber or cover the pimples with acne patches. 𝐌𝐲 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐌 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 (𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐧𝐞-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞) 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫 - VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser or CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skinor HADALABO - Deep Moisturizing Whip Foam 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 - Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream or The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫+ 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 - sun bum - Face Lotion SPF 50 𝐏𝐌 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞: 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 - Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream or Pyunkang Yul - Essence Toner 𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 - PROcure - Rosacare Gel 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: janssen - Retino-A 0.05% Tretinoin Cream

The best Cleansing Balm ever
I have tried my fair share of good cleansing balms over the years but my favorite is the THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm I’ve been using this for over 4 months now and it has actually improved the overall look and feel of my skin. It’s a really decent size tube for $16 CAD and its the first one I ever try that comes in a squeeze tube. If you regularly use cleansing balms you know how convenient that is! No more scratching balm out of a tub with your nails which can be frustrating and unsanitary 🥴 Once you warm it up in your hands it applies thin and smooth over the face. There’s a very subtle exfoliating/grainy feeling (I think that’s the “oat” in it) but in no way is this irritating or abrasive on sensitive skin. 😇 I have exzcema flare ups and extremely sensitive skin and if anything, using this cleansing balm every night has actually helped! The only negative thing I will say is that it doesn’t seem to be too “spreadable” so I feel like I need more product to rub all of the makeup off than I usually need from other cleansing balms but at this price-point and quality it won’t bother me too much to buy a replacement bottle sooner. Here’s some of the previous balms I’ve tried that are now replaced by this one ✨: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm fine but huge price tag for nothing magical CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Home & Away Duo I THOUGHT this was my favorite until the inkey list one revealed my skin was struggling all along 😱 GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm lovely but didnt like the scent heimish - All Clean Balm great but too little for the price and left my skin oily sometimes DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil WORST one. Broke me out for months and I couldn’t figure out what it was! I stopped using it after learning that olive oil is extremely comodegenic and problematic if you have acne-prone skin ...and this cleanser is olive-oil based 🙅🏻♀️ What do you guys think of cleansing balms?! Do you double-cleanse?

Travel-friendly lip balms for chapped lips
I’m a lip balm addict. I can get really dehydrated and flaky lips so when I leave the house or go for a small trip I need to have at least one product in my purse / backpack / tote bag. I love these three lips balms because they have hygienic and slim packaging that fits almost anywhere. And I like bringing these three around because they each serve a unique purpose: indeed LABORATORIES - Hydraluron + Volumising Lip Treatment ^ when you need some heavy duty hydration ($15) I am absolutely loving this lip treatment from indeed. After just one use my lips were super soft and didn’t have any flakes left over. The formula is clear, THICK and was actually hard to squeeze out of the tube at first. But once you put it on it feels moisturizing, but thick enough that it won’t move out of place. The only thing I will say is that I don’t these this product makes my lips look any more voluminous that they did already... but I don’t mind and for $15 I’m super happy with the results. I would even consider bringing this in place of my Laneige lip mask is I was going on a quick weekend trip or just had a small purse. Then I met you - Honey Dew Lip Mask ^ when you want dewy and glossy lips ($22) Say you want to look extra dewy or flirty...But you don’t want a gloss that will dry out your lips or will feel too sticky. I would definitely recommend trying this lip mask. It’s not as healing as the indeed lip treatment, but it will keep your lips hydrated and super super glossy. Plus it smells super nice. The product is clear and almost a little oily. It’s a really lovely formula and pretty packaging. The scent is sweet but subtle. Overall, I love pulling this out of my purse and swiping a bit on before going out because I feel extra dewy and pretty. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom ^ the jack of all trades ($15) Lips feeling a bit chapped? Balm dotcom. Cuticles feeling dry? Balm dotcom. Elbows cracking? Balm dotcom. Let’s be honest, it’s beautiful and lightly scented Vaseline. And I love it. It’s so convenient for when you’re out and about. For $15 it does seem a bit steep, but the packaging is cute, the scent is nice and the pink tint in this rose version is subtle but pretty. Overall, I’m happy to spend the money for this convenient and versatile product. 🥰💋
KOJIC Acid Soap for Acne Scaring 🤔🙏🏾
Okay! So it’s been ALMOST, a month since I first bought the KOJIC Acid Skin Lightening Soap. I first used it Nov. 25th and took the second photo this morning on Dec. 17th. I’ve used it pretty regularly, every time I get in the shower so about once or twice a day, and then I follow up with raw organic shea butter or Vaseline because Winter. I want to say I see a difference, but to be completely honest I’m not really sure. The first picture wasn’t taken in the best lighting, vs the one I took this morning was much clearer and brighter. What do you guys think? I’m going to finish the soap, the box came with two bars and I’m still only on the first bar so I’ll post pictures again once I go through all of it or I see some major results. ✨ Some Tips ✨ So if you’re going to use this soap make sure you have a great moisturizer to follow up with, it is extremely drying and actually caused me to break out a little from all my natural oils being pulled out. Other than though it’s a very mild soap and it hasn’t irritated thus far. I only use it on my back, chest, and inner thighs. My chest has some acne scaring and my inner thighs are just a little dark from rubbing against each other (thick thigh probs. 😂) but that shows how versatile and light the soap is. It also has a nice citrus scent 🍊. I haven’t used it on my face, but if you do, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE DRY SKIN, follow up with your best moisturizer and a good serum to seal everything it. I hope this helps someone, and if you have any suggestions or tips to help me clear these scars up please share!! Xo Staesha
Cloud Paint DUPE! 🤩 OMG!
I set out to find the perfect dupe for Glossier’s Cloud Paint, and I think I found something really special. 🤩 The NYX “Sweet Cheeks” soft cheek tint is the perfect cream blush if you’re looking for a similar formula to Cloud Paint, but without the hefty price tag. Shade shown: “Nude’Tude” The product comes in a range of colors from dark purples to mauvey pinks. Buildable color Retails for around ~$9 USD Physician’s Formula Murumuru Lip Butter with SPF 15 was my first go at a sheer SPF lip. The only thing I didn’t LOVE about the lip butter was that it dries on skin fast, and therefore the color wears off pretty quickly... But the formula itself is SO creamy and soft on my lips I might just have to keep it. Shade shown: “Brazilian Nut” There isn’t a HUGE variety of shades Buildable, sheer color that’s easy to reapply Retails for around ~$7 USD I found both of these products at Target and they are also available online through select retailers. 😍🥰
