SUN CARE SAFETY!
HAPPY NATIONAL SUNSCREEN DAY! Also known as “Don’t Fry Day” Wear your sunscreen my friends! Please! What is a sunburn? Sunburn is a radiation burn, caused when the ultraviolet (UV) rays of sunlight damage DNA in the upper layer of skin cells. The sunburn will eventually heal, but some of the surviving cells will have mutations that escape repair. These cells could eventually become cancerous. Safety Tips: - Be sure to choose a sunscreen that has an SPF of 30 or higher, is water-resistant and offers broad-spectrum protection. - Apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes before going in the sun. - When possible, seek shade. - Cover up with hats, sunglasses and UV-protective clothing. Myth: The higher the SPF, the longer I can stay out in the sun This is a common mistake. In reality, SPF 30 blocks 97% of ultraviolet rays, while SPF 50 blocks out 98%. Myth: Spray sunscreen is just as good as lotion WRONG! Use lotion, then use spray! For sunscreen to work properly, it still should be rubbed onto the skin to avoid missing streaks of skin, which can happen when you use spray. Zinc oxide is a better sunscreen ingredient, as it offers the best UVA protection of all current sunscreen chemicals, and titanium dioxide is second best. I use: @sunbum - Clear Zinc when casually in the sun @zinkasunscreen - fun for kids, comes in all different colors, I usually put it on when we go to the lake. (5% zinc) However, this does not have any where near the amount of zinc needed to protect the skin well. @neutrogena ALL OVER MY FACE! also I put a layer on my upper lips because it’s prone to Melesma. (21.5% zinc) Others that are great: @naturallyseriousskin Mineral Sun Defense Moisturizer SPF 30 (25% zinc) @thesunscreencompany CyberDerm Simply Zinc Ultra Transparent Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 (25% zinc) I use the Sol Stick for my whole face to keep some SPF on my lips, and it feels like it hydrates the skin. My skin is so soft, and the smell... glorious! Even if this product over have SPF I would still massage it all my skin! @soldejaneiro

I love the entire line of Sol de Janeiro products! The scent takes you to a tropical island somewhere and I just love it! Earth Harbor Superfood Oil is amazing the scent is a little different, but boiiii does it feel good on the skin. The Higher Education acne pads are great for after workouts. I always leave them in my gym bag and wipe my face after my workout. Ghost democracy is bomb AF! This Fluid Gate Hyaluronic Acid is the best hyaluronic out there! It leaves the skin matte and honestly FLAWLESS!
My top 3 favorite cruelty free/vegan products!
🍃My top 3 favorite cruelty free/vegan products! 🍃review of farmacy eye cream- The farmacy dew it all total eye cream is a moisturizing eye cream that helps minimize signs of stress and fatigue while delivering hydration to help soothe and nourish the eye area! It is great to solve fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and uneven texture and loss of firmness and elasticity. The texture is very thick but lightweight and very creamy! I absolutely love using this eye cream and I got it about a year ago from a friend recommending it to me. It is very hydrating and didn’t break me out, but I saw great results in my under eyes after using it for a while. I would recommend this to others because it is a great overall eye cream and can be used with all skin types! It is worth the $38 for .5oz because I know a lot of you will really love this product as much as I did! 🍃review of sol de Janeiro sunscreen-The Sol De Janeiro my sol stick SPF 50 is a sheer SPF 50 stick that’s a must have for lips, nose, hands, edges of swimwear, and tattoos! This is good for oily, dry, normal, and combo skin types. I love using this in the summer, and the smell is amazing! This can also be solutions for dryness and uneven skin tone. The texture is very thick and smooth on the skin! It glides right on the skin with each swipe enriched with body-wrapping, skin smoothing goodness. I absolutely love using this sunscreen and am definitely gonna repurchase when I run out. I have tried a few other Sol De Janeiro body products and have loved all of them and am in love with the scent, so about 7 months ago right before summer I picked this up from Sephora and used it almost everyday of the summer! It is very moisturizing and hydrating and didn’t break me out. I would recommend this for anyone looking for an awesome face sunscreen that has amazing ingredients like cupuaçu butter, açaí oil, and coconut oil! It is really worth purchasing this before summer and for any vacations! It is $26 for .8oz of product! 🍃review of lush bubblegum lip scrub-The lush bubblegum lip scrub! This sugary treat was made for you! With a sweet, candy-like flavor that's true to its name, Bubblegum is one delightful lip scrub. Fine castor sugar gives lips a gentle exfoliation and hydrating organic jojoba oil leaves them feeling soft, smooth and supple. The best part? Licking off the delicious sugar once you're through! This can be solutions for dry and cracked lips. The texture feels exactly like sugar and feels great on my lips! I really enjoy using this lip scrub. A friend gave this to me as a present about 7 months ago and use it all the time, it does a great job! It is hydrating and didn’t break me out! It has great results as well, it made my lips much smoother after I used it! I would totally recommend this to others because of it has great ingredients like organic jojoba oil and castor sugar, and they don’t test on animals! It is really worth purchasing because it is so cheap and does an amazing job, it is $10.95 for 0.8oz! 🍃are all three brands cruelty free- yes farmacy is all cruelty free, and has amazing skincare products! Sol de Janeiro is also cruelty free and sells amazing body care and hair care! And lastly lush is an amazing store with everything body and face, and they are very dedicated to being cruelty free/vegan! 🍃do I only use cruelty free products- I keep trying and trying to eliminate brands that are not cruelty free! One of my favorite brands right now is fresh and they aren't cruelty free, so I still can’t decide what do about them! I support each and every cruelty free/vegan brand and I believe that each and every brand should do the same! I love my animals!SOL de Janeiro - My Sol Stick SPF 50 LUSH - Bubblegum Lip Scrub FARMACY - Dew It All Total Eye Cream
Sun Bum Travel-Size Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30
I got this sun bum - Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 as a freebie because I purchased $70 worth of beauty products in one transaction at CVS a while ago (Hehe... Oops 🤷🏻♀️) and although it's not specifically marketed as a facial sunscreen, that's what I've primarily been using it for and I really have been loving it for that purpose! It's a sunscreen, so its primary purpose is obvs to protect skin from UVA & UVB rays, but this product also claims to be a moisturizing lotion as well. Since I have dry skin, I find my skin really feeling nice and moisturized after applying this; which is something I don't necessarily get with other sunscreens. The actual formula of the product is like a hybrid between your average, regular sunscreen formula and that of a traditional creamy moisturizer. It's an opaque white color like many other sunscreens and smells like a beach or any of Sun Bum's other products. I've been using this sunscreen as my primary facial sunscreen since the middle-end of this past summer and I'm honestly surprised at how much product I still have left in the tube with that being considered! I really enjoy this product because it's simple, affordable, and accessible (you can find it at most drugstores or at Ulta) and because it's nice and moisturizing on my dry skin while also providing me with SPF 30 sun protection. I'm not at all sensitive to sunscreens like a LOT of other people are, so I may not be the best to ask what sunscreen to choose if you do happen to be sensitive, but I will say that like most sunscreens (for me), this didn't cause any issues or breakouts. Based on my personal experience, I would 100% recommend this sunscteen, but I wouldn't go off of my recommendation alone if you are typically sensitive to sunscreens bc I have no idea how it would or wouldn't affect those with sunscreen sensitivities. I rated this product 5 stars because I enjoy it, had no issues with or from it, and will likely repurchase it when I run out unless I just feel like trying out something new! ☀️🧴😊

⭐️ SunBum Sunscreen ⭐️
This sunscreen works amazingly on my sensitive skin. It also gives somewhat of a blurring effect which I love on days I dint wear make up! I do wish it was unscented though. Overall I rate this a 9/10. The scent isn’t my fav so I knocked it off a point.

Canmake Mermaid Gel UV
If I could give the CANMAKE - Mermaid Skin Gel UV 1000 stars, I would. This is a chemical spf that is lightweight and works well with everything. It gives a bit of a dewy finish so if you have oily skin, it may be a little too much. For my dry skin, it’s perfect! Leaves me protected and looking glowing! The spf protection is 50+/PA++++ and has a few different filters in it for both UVA and UVB protection. I’ve never used it for a day out in the sun but for a daily spf, it’s absolutely perfect. It doesn’t pill under makeup, even when I don’t use a primer. In fact, this works better than some primers I’ve used! It has the lightest, thinnest texture ever without being too watery. It doesn’t sting my face, it doesn’t cause my skin to react, I haven’t broken out from it. I’ve repurchased this 3 times because I love it so much. I really can’t think of a negative thing to say about this. Everyone needs this spf. Go buy it ASAP!

SPF and a glow? Yes please!
Two things I can’t get enough of? ☀️ SPF on the go & face oils. So when I found this product, I was instantly hooked! Supergoop’s glow stick glides on so easily and sinks into your skin quickly. It has the feel of a lightweight face oil with none of the normal greasiness I dread from sunscreens. It leaves my face dewy and glowy and with spf 50, I’m ready to face the summer sun. The one downside to the glow stick is the mechanism for releasing more product...it reminds me of a push pop popsicle and you have to physically push it up from the bottom rather than twisting it up. Definitely worth it, but I do wish it were more user friendly. In addition to looking amazing, protecting my skin, and being ultra portable, the glow stick has a reef safe formulation which I love. Have you tried this sunscreen stick? What’s your go-to spf product in the summer? Supergoop! - Glow Stick SPF 50

2 Biore SPFs put to the test
So if you’re someone who is interested in Korean spfs, and has come across both of these spfs, you definitely need to read this review! They are similar but have a few key differences. Bioré - Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen SPF50+ This is the more common of the 2, and is widely spoken about. It has multiple chemical UV filters which make it effective. The texture feels light, it dries quickly, and it blends nicely into the skin. My biggest issue is that alcohol is #2 on the ingredients. It smells like alcohol mixed with fragrance which I find unpleasant. I’m sure it dries down so quickly due to the alcohol. It can be drying on dry skin types as well. I didn’t have too much of an issue but it wasn’t my favorite as a result. Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ This has the same chemical filters as the watery essence, with the main difference being texture. This as a more “true sunscreen” texture in the sense that it is rather thick when applied. It doesn’t blend as easily into the skin and feels a bit sticky tbh. Alcohol is #2 in this as well and it has the same alcohol-y smell as the essence. I really did not enjoy the texture of this as I found it heavy and sticky. My makeup pretty much fell off my face when I applied it. Didn’t cause breakouts but I just don’t Iove it. So the main difference is just the texture. If you aren’t bothered by the alcohol, I would recommend going with the essence to start as the gel just doesn’t feel great on the skin.

SPF that everyone needs
#Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+[goods]# Last week I reviewed the product with botanical peony scent, this is their original one, that is just as amazing at that one. It’s a SPF with very watery consistency, almost essence-like, hence the name. It’s formulated with moisture-rich water capsules to prevent dryness, hyaluronic acid, and royal jelly extract. Basically all the ingredients that my skin likes. It claims to be waterproof as well, but definitely not sticky at all. It’s very lightweight and absorbs into the skin under 1 minute. Perfect as a base underneath makeup. It’s transparent and doesn’t have any scent. I have been using it since forever, after hearing my mom raving about it. I love how lightweight the texture is and it doesn’t break me out like most Western brand SPF does. It’s a reliable product that I can never live without. It’s a bit cooling upon application and it feels smooth on the skin. SPF is so important for everyone, no matter the age or if you’re staying indoor the whole day. I always recommend this product to everyone because everything about it is great. The price is great, the product itself is amazing! It’s totally worth all the money and effort to apply! And SPF 50+ is so great as well.
