My favorite video call makeup!
Here’s what makeup I wear for my zoom calls everyday! I like it to be light and natural but still make me look put together. Eyes: Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara

Here some of my faves from Lancôme! 💕💕 • Dual Finish Highlighter in Radiant Rose Gold A dual-effect powder highlighter enhanced with light-reflecting pearls for a smooth, buildable glow. These are very pigmented, creamy and don't accentuate any texture on your skin. You can use it dry for a natural look or wet to build intensity. Love this shade!! • La Vie Est Belle Rollerball It's a floral but not overwhelming fragrance and the scent lasts all day. It’s been one of my favorite for awhile and I love the rollerball version, so convenient to keep it in my purse or for traveling! • Definicils Mascara + Cils Booster XL Primer Bundle The Definicils mascara is great for everyday use! Easy to apply and with just a few swipes, it gives you beautiful long lashes with absolutely no clumps! The lashes look even better when paired with the Cils Booster XL primer, great duo! I really think a primer makes a huge difference when wearing mascara!
Lancome products review . • Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation An oil-free, long-wearing, liquid foundation that delivers buildable coverage and natural-looking, velvety-matte finish for up to 24 hours. Goes on smoothly, full coverage, lightweight, has a beautiful velvet finish and lasts all day long! Love, love it!!!! . • Dual Finish Highlighter in Radiant Rose Gold A dual-effect powder highlighter enhanced with light-reflecting pearls for a smooth, buildable glow. Glossier Lash Slick v Wet N Wild Mega Length
Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara #Wet N Wild - Mega Length Mascara[products]#[FiveStars] I’ve seen this dupe going around for a while and finally had the brain power to pick up the Wet N Wild Mega Length at Walmart last night, so today at work I’ve been doing a full day wear test! I applied my makeup around 9am this morning and it’s nearing the end of my work day, which ends at 6:30. I’ll post an update before I take both of these off today, but at the moment it’s 5:15pm and these have both performed exactly the same way! I’m not sure if Mega Length is a tubing Mascara like Lash Slick is, but I’ll find out when I remove them. So far most of the difference is the brushes. The Mega Length is just slightly thinner than Lash Slick’s but I think the both perform the same way, with a my lashes but better finish to them and no smudging! I personally like the Lash Slick brush better, but in a pinch I’d definitely pick this up again! This is the best dupe I’ve ever tried!
Lash Slick Dupe Review
I will admit that I immediately fell in love with the effortless application of Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara and its amazing "my lashes but better" look. However, I have one major issue with this beautiful mascara.... it constantly flakes throughout the day. This is a huge let down considering it is on the pricier side. so instead of shedding some tears over my let down, I decided to put a supposed dupe to the test. The wet n wild - Mega Length Mascara costs significantly less and overall gives the EXACT same look as Lash Slick and the wand applicator looks pretty much identical. Better yet, I have no flaking! The only difference I can tell is the actual formula itself. I personally like the feel and application of Lash Slick better than the Mega Length Mascara. It glides on easier and feels smoother. But, I dislike flaking and that is a hard pass for me. The winner in my book is Mega Length!

10 Minute Natural Look 👀
☀️ I have sensitive combo skin that is acne-prone. My skin is fair and my main concern is acne and general redness. 1. Skincare I use a cleanser, Vitamin C serum, moisturizer and sunscreen every morning. I let it sink in for a few minutes before starting any sort of make-up. 2. Mascara I currently use They’re Real by Benefit and really love it for quick volume and length. I also love their BadGal Bang one and might switch back to that next but this one is great. 3. Concealer I use this under my eyes to cover any darkness, any red spots from breakouts and just generally for redness. I find that a little of this Kaja concealer goes a really long way and this one is affordable and clean. This is the lightest shade in the range called Sweet Rice and I blend it with a damp beauty blender. 4. Erborian CC Red Correct This light green color correcting cream with SPF 25 is my favorite for light coverage that overall provides an evenness to my skin without any heaviness of foundation in look or feel. I find this also blends best with a beauty blender and the greenness fades the redness perfectly. 5. Elf Shadow Pencil I got this for like $3 and I use it along my upper lash line to add a bit of pink sparkle for fun. I have this in Rose Gold but there are more options and they’re really quick to apply because no brush is needed. They’re also a smoother pencil in terms of softness. ☀️This is my go-to quick natural look I’ve been doing this year and I LOVE it because it’s quick and covers my main concerns. My most important step though beyond skincare is definitely mascara. It just makes such a difference with my eyes and generally how I look. I can skip the rest but I need my skincare and my lashes. benefit - They’re Real! Lengthening Mascara Kaja - Don't Settle Concealer erborian - CC Color Correcting & Redness Reducing Broad Spectrum SPF 25 e.l.f. - No Budge Shadow Stick #CheriePartner
Your skin reflects your diet
Hey y’all! I’ll be the first to admit, my skin was HORRIBLE in college. I did my undergrad at Rutgers in Chemical Engineering, with minors in math and polisci. So I was absolutely STRESSED OUT often and my diet reflected that. I ate junk food more often than I’d like to admit and I used to drink soda. (Yikes) And my skin reflected my diet and my stress levels. I had these weird dry dark spots under my eyes that would get super flaky during the spring time exacerbated by my allergies. And I had dry flaky skin in the skin between my lip and nose. And nothing I did helped. 😭 This is when I started making my own face creams using beeswax, aloe, jojoba/almond/avocado/coconut/olive oils (depending on what my skin needs), and essential oils. That definitely helped with immediate topical relief. But I made some huge diet and lifestyle changes about 3 years ago. 1️⃣ I started to work out more often. I used to hate physical activity because I felt like I will be judged and ridiculed. But working out has helped me get stronger physically and mentally. And that has been reflected in my overall skin. 💪🏽 2️⃣ My bf eats super healthy and I started to do so as well once we started dating. And I cut out junk food and soda almost entirely. (I snack sometimes but it’s not the same levels as before.) 🥗 3️⃣ I drink a lot more water! 💧 4️⃣ I started adding lemon juice in my water about 3 months ago to boost collagen production and clear up my hyperpigmentation from within. 🍋 These changes have made my skin look and feel so much healthier. I’m so glad I made these changes. I’m so lucky to have found a partner who supports me and comforts me and encourages me in every way. As a survivor of IVP, I’m still struggling with my own inner demons but I have someone by my side now who is helping me heal and become the best version of myself. 😇 I know some of these things are hard, especially now when putting food on the table can be difficult. But even just doing 30 min of yoga has really helped me with managing stress during this craziness. (Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube is my go to! She’s 😎!) Good luck, and I hope you’re staying safe and healthy. 🙏🏽 Let me know what lifestyle changes you’ve made 👇🏽😊 Happy Thanksgiving (to those in the US)! 🦃
What’s in my bag
I love a good bag photo with goodies! Think how cute this would be as a gift! REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge I love this sponge. Will never buy another brand again! e.l.f. - Primer-Infused Blush These blushes are so affordable and really beautiful for the drugstore. I do wish they had more shades in the range though! Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer This is cream bronzer is GORGEOUS! So much product for the price too. COLOURPOP - Lippie Pencil These lip pencils are super creamy and glide on the skin so beautifully. If you like a more stiff formula, I’m not sure this is a pencil for you.
Easy 5-Minute Look
This is my go-to, 5-minute look when I want to look put together on Zoom calls, but I know I’m not going to be seen by anyone else because we’re in the middle of a global pandemic.

The sun show bronzer
Kosas the Sun Show moisturing baked bronzer gives the perfect radiant sun kissed glow with couple big fluffy swipes. It is infused with clean ingredients such as Shea butter and meadowfoam oil that helps to lock moisture in your skin while giving you the perfect smooth skin texture like the sun kissed your face. I love the powder to cream finish which is easily picked up on my skin. Kosas - The Sun Show Bronzer

Baaaarely there makeup 🌿 (no-makeup makeup)
Guys it’s been SO HOT here in SoCal, I truly can’t even 🥵 In the rare case I want to give myself a little glow (that isn’t sweat 🤪), a little brow, this is what I’ve been going for! For this super simple, barely there, ‘naked’ makeup look I went with tried and true favs. My favorite products for a no makeup makeup look: 💚 UNDONE BEAUTY - LIP TO CHEEK 3-IN-1 CREAM PALETTE I love this palette so much! This color is just simply amazing on the skin and included three different intensities so you can go with the more pigmented formula or just add a touch of color with the sheer one. 💚 Lime Crime - Bushy Brow Precision Pen best brow pen I’ve ever tried. The brush is so, so thin and easy to use. 💚 e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer Elf’s been killing it with their makeup recently, this hydrating concealer is perfect for my dehydrated skin. Never feels cakey or heavy and it’s very affordable. 💚 wet n wild - Mega Length Mascara my new favorite natural looking mascara. It lifts, lengthens and separates lashes beautifully. It holds my curl and looks just like my lashes but better. 💚 e.l.f. - Jelly Pop Juicy Gloss such a cute gloss! It has a red tint and makes you look alive and cute. It’s not sticky at all and smells so good. 💚 e.l.f. - Wow Brow Gel I’ve talked about this being a potential dupe for Glossier’s boy brow, it has a more lighter consistency and isn’t as waxy, but it also is like a quarter of the price sooo Lastly, I would recommend a sheer, balmy highlighter to add just that extra touch of glow to the skin! ✨ #CheriePartner

🇺🇸 happy memorial day weekend! 🌊 explaination I’m an active duty service member in the Navy. Balancing femininity with the confines of a uniform can be pretty difficult at times. A lot of people question how much makeup I am allowed to wear and how/when. And I wear a full face! 🌊 so what can you wear? The general guidelines (lot of paraphrasing here) are that makeup must look natural looking, not be faddish, and not use overly bright colors/glitter. Special occasions do call for special looks, but I tend to wear the same products everyday. 🌊 what I do My goal is to make it look like I’m not wearing makeup even though I probably spent 30-40 minutes on my face that morning. I tend to skip eyeshadow to save time, especially with my hooded eyes. feel free to ask any questions! 🌊 My current daily makeup lineup Primer: Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer Concealer: MAYBELLINE - SuperStay Better Skin Concealer Setting Powder: REVOLUTION - Conceal & Fix Setting Powder Blush: Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek Bronzer: Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer Brow Pencil ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Perfect Brow Pencil Brow Gel benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel Setting Spray Urban Decay All Nighter Mascara Too Faced Damn Girl!

Dermotologist Advice You Don't Want To MissA roundup of the best tips from cherie's derm panel with Dr. Mina and Dr. Cula.Jan. 21
My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
