The best Halloween lipsticks
The best Halloween lipsticks
The COLOURPOP - Lippie Stix are my go tos for Halloween looks - they’re SO affordable and come in so many versatile colors!!! The one I’m wearing on my lips for this year’a halloween look is the shade CHATEAU and honestly it’s such a lovely color that I wear it on the day to day in the fall and winter! It’s a matte lip color so it can be a bit drying if you don’t hydrate well and use lip balm underneath, but if I’m only wearing it for a few hours for Halloween parties, then it’s perfect! The bullet is also really small which means it’s really easy to apply perfectly even without a mirror. You get so much product for such an affordable price honestly! #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

Spooky Halloween hair!
Spooky Halloween hair!
This is my go to whenever I’m doing a makeup-heavy halloween costume! Since I’m going as a BAT this year, I wanted to do this updo since it lasts all night and still looks spooky especially if you aren’t too neat with it. I have long hair that is medium thickness. It is straightened right now! This goes well with any face shape honestly, and you can also change the part if that suits your face shape better. I didn’t use any styling products prior to doing this look other than straightening it yesterday! But that isn’t necessary. To do this look, simply create two mini space buns on the top of your head! I used both hair ties and Bobby pins to make my buns super secure and then pulled them apart a lot to make them look bigger and more messy. Finally, I used the IGK - Direct Flight Multi-Tasking Matcha Dry Shampoo to add more grit and messiness to my hair, and that was it! #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

My HALLOWEEN SPOOKY LOOK
My HALLOWEEN SPOOKY LOOK
This is my Halloween look - I’m a dead bat! Scary I know! I got this idea from a Pinterest board I saw recently! Here’s how I created this look: 1. Sweep the dark grey matte eyeshadow all over your lid. I use my fingers but you can use your brush if you’d like! 2. Use the shimmery steel grey shade in the outer corner of your eye and blend towards the middle. CHANTECAILLE - Africa's Vanishing Species Collection this is the chantecaille eyeshadow that I’m using here in the Rhino shade. It is so beautifully pressed as you can see in the photo. It is a pretty thick and gritty glitter so you can’t really use it all over your eyes, but it’s perfect on the outer corners just to add some drama. It is really expensive though so I probably wouldn’t recommend this to a friend- there’s nothing special about the formula in my opinion and I don’t reach for this particular shade too often. However it’s a great splurge item and the proceeds go to charity. 3. Use your thick black eyeliner to draw two semicircles and then fill those in! This is going to be the outline of your “BAT”. I used inspiration from Pinterest to figure out this outline but you can honestly draw them however you’d like and they should look great! smashbox - Always on Gel Eye Liner I’m LOVING this gel eyeliner currently - it is so thick and creamy and goes such a long way towards giving me that perfect smoky eye. Sometimes if there’s too much glitter eyeshadow on underneath, you do have to press to get a dark black line, but on a bare eyelid like how I usually wear it, it goes on so well without catching or tugging. It also lasts all day and doesn’t budge after it’s set in about 10 minutes. 4. To add something extra creepy, I used a dark red lipstick to draw BLOOD drops! This is just a simple teardrop shape. And you’re done! Follow with a dark red lip and maybe some vampire fangs if you have any, and there’s a super easy look you can do for Halloween using just items in your makeup collection! #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

My skin type: combo skin with hormonal acne. I also spend a lot of time in front of a computer because all my classes and work are online this semester. I was really excited to try this blueberry booster from BYBI beauty because it’s supposed to protect against the harmful blue lights that come from our computers and other screens! This booster is a thick oil that is yellow and scentless, and it can be mixed in with my morning moisturizer or alone under sunscreen. Honestly, I haven’t seen any significant changes in my skin from using this product everyday. I use it every morning mixed in with my moisturizer especially on days when I know I’ll be on my computer all day, but I haven’t seen any positive changes in my skin. Nor have I seen any negative changes from using it so it definitely is a nice hydrating oil. However, I will caveat that statement that I think this is more of a long term issue - the effects of blue light will likely not show up on our skin for 10-15 years so this is more of a preventative measure I’ve been adding in to my skincare routine. Have you tried any anti-blue light skincare products? #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

Halloween skincare!
Halloween skincare!
Hi everyone! I want to share a mask I’ve been using after any Halloween makeup to keep my skin looking fresh and feeling clean! I have combo skin with some hormonal acne, and wearing too much makeup will often trigger more acne for me! So this mask has been great at helping me take care of my skin while still doing fun Halloween looks! This is a volcano ash with really soothing ingredients Addis’s in along side the actual charcoal and clay. The clay helps get rid of impurities that might collect from wearing heavy makeup, while green tea helps soothe skin and calm down any angry patches. I love to use this one after I’ve double cleansed my face to remove any makeup, and you just need to keep it on for 15 minutes before washing off! I have noticed smoother skin and smaller pores after using this about 3x a week. This mask also doesn’t strip your skin or make it feel tight, so I highly recommend! Finally, I love that the packaging is perfect for Halloween since it’s black and gold! I’ll definitely be creating some fun spooky content with this jar for a Halloween themed post on my Instagram soon! #cheriecreator #cheriepartner

Special occasion: clubbing makeup!
Special occasion: clubbing makeup!
This is the look that I always go to for clubbing in the fall! (Obviously not right now, because of Covid) I really love to use colors based on the season for my eye makeup which is the focal point of my routines, and since this is the fall, I always love to use oranges, yellows and browns! Since I also have a lot of brown clubbing clothes, this eye look is my GO TO for whenever we’re allowed to go out again! I have combo skin with some hormonal acne. In the before shot I’m not wearing any makeup, but in the final shot I’m also wearing a full face of makeup just FYI. The must have makeup product for this look and for this season is the persona - Color Theory Eye Kit Copper ! It is MAAZING!!! I’ve recommended it to all of my friends because it’s so versatile, the colors are so pigmented, and it’s a perfect palette to use either with your fingers or with a brush! The set also comes with an angled brush which is amazing. To achieve this look: Start with the lightest color in the palette and brush all over your eyelid Use the orange color to sweep over your eyelid as well, and then darken up the outer corner with the deep brown shade. Make sure to blend up and out so that the color diffuses and there are no harsh lines. Use the copper glitter shade with your fingers and press into the center of your eyelid for the main attraction! Use the light shimmer shade again at the top of your brow bone to add a simple highlight, and also use in the inner corners of your eyes. Follow with eyeliner if you want, or just mascara! #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

My travel morning skincare routine
My travel morning skincare routine
Here is the morning skincare I use when I travel! 1. Wash face with fresh - Soy Face Cleanser Jumbo ! This is the travel size but it has a really nice refreshing scent and isn’t stripping at all which makes it perfect for the morning. 2. Next I use fresh - Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence as my toner and essence. It is really lightweight and helps plump up my skin. It has the same scent as the cleanser and I find it really relaxing. It sinks in really well to my skin as well but I haven’t seen a profound difference in my skin from using it. 3. Use BEEKMAN 1802 - Triple Milk Skin Milk usually I have serums in my morning routines, but since I’m traveling I didn’t bring one so I move straight to moisturizer. This one is perfect for traveling since it’s so lightweight and doesn’t leave any type of residue or cause pulling. 4. INSTITUT ESTHEDERM - Sun Ultimate Cream SPF 30 I’ve been loving this sunscreen lately! It has no white cast at all which is amazing and gives my skin a really nice glow under makeup if I choose to wear any. It does not have a discernible scent. #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

K beauty brands for the win!
K beauty brands for the win!
Here’s a look I recently completed using some of my favorite k beauty base makeup products! I have combo skin with some acne, and needed to cover up some hyperpigmentation and acne for this look. The first is the erborian - Pink Perfect Pore Minimizing Primer it is a really silicon feeling primer- and it’s super useful especially when used with the erborian cc cream in tandem. You don’t need a lot to cover your face, and it does a pretty good job of filling in any larger pores and creating a smooth base for foundation or concealer. I’ve also worn this one alone without any foundation and it makes my skin look really nice and fresh. I do generally prefer a more illuminating primer though so I took off 1 Star. It has no scent. It is pink in color. Second , I used the erborian - CC Cream Radiance Color Corrector Broad Spectrum SPF25 in the shade deep and this product is really cool because it goes on gray in color but then blends out to your exact skin tone!! This is so cool! It’s a really high coverage cc cream and also includes some spf for added protection. I use my fingers to apply this product so it warms up a bit also. I really enjoy k beauty products because they’re often so innovative and really have an added skincare benefit to them too! As compared to American makeup brands, sometimes the shade ranges aren’t good for k beauty products which is disappointing. These products are mid ranged in price. I do think the cc cream is worth the hype because you need so little for a full coverage look and it can match your exact skin tone!! #asianbeauty #cheriepartner #cheriecreator
