clean beauty is more than just a trend, it’s a lifestyle 🌿 i personally love clean beauty, and tbh i don’t know why anyone wouldn’t! although in my opinion we still need some preservatives to keep a product from spoiling super quick, there are ways clean beauty brands can do this with out putting harsh ingredients and chemicals into their products. however, i love super clean brands like herbivore using no preservatives even though the trade off is you gotta use it up fast because it is an interesting deviation from mainstream “clean” companies. the clean beauty movement has become such a positive force in the beauty industry, and it’s made people more knowledgeable and conscious about what we put on our skin, so what’s not to love?? 🌱💚 #CherieConversations

(BELLFLOWER) HIBISCUS ANTI AGING GEL CREAM
🔔 🌸 bellflower recently gifted me two of their brand new moisturizers, and i’ve been testing the Bellflower - Hibiscus Anti-Aging Gel Cream for about a week now. all the website says about this product is “Healthy skin and Anti-aging effect by Hibiscus sabdariffa flower extract, Adenosine, Collagen, Rose flower water and peptide,” so basically its a gel cream thats supposed to help with aging skin. its a gel that looks like a cream, but spreads and absorbs like a gel. i find it hydrating and pleasant, and it isnt sticky or heavy at all. do i like it? yes. is it anything special? not really. i would recommend it if youre curious about this brand/line, for $15 it’s not bad, but nothing to write home about. im suspicious of “anti aging” products anyways, but this gel is nice enough and moisturizing for my skin.

(SUMMER FRIDAYS) R+R MASK
i got this mask as part of the merry and bright set at sephora, and i was vvvv hesitant about it at first. the SUMMER FRIDAYS - R + R Mask is a mask made up of “restorative oils” with physical exfoliants to buff and smooth skin. the only way i can describe the texture is like a solid oil paste with bits of scratchy stuff in it??? i’ve used this a handful of times, and the way it makes the most sense to me (as an oily faced gal) is after moisturizer has dried, so the oils left over from the mask lock my routine in. while this worked for me in the dead of winter when it was freezing outside, this is definitely not a summer or even spring product for me. it leaves an oily film on the face which i cant do in warm weather. i honestly couldnt recommend this to anyone who doesnt have dry or normal skin, and at $52 for the full size i just don’t think it’s worth it because i can only use it for 3 months of the year. how/when do you use this mask? it doesnt feel right using it right after i wash my face because then i have oil on before the rest of my routine.

(GOOD MOLECULES) PRIMING MOISTURIZER
can we tell i love the glossier bags 🤷♀️ anyways, since i ran out of my glossier priming moisturizer, i switched to GOOD MOLECULES - Silicone-Free Priming Moisturizer since i steal need some extra hydration until the sun comes back. good molecules sent this to me when it first launched, and i havent been able to try it until a couple weeks ago. it’s a lightweight moisturizer designed to smooth skin texture with a plant-based alternative to silicone. again, i don’t wear foundation so i can’t personally speak on its “priming” powers, but i will say ive heard several others say it wears fantastically under makeup. as a stand alone moisturizer, i love that it’s not overly thick and a nice light cream. it makes my skin feel smooth but i like that theres no silicone in the formula. and for $14 i definitely recommend it, totally worth it.

(GLOW RECIPE) WATERMELON GLOW SLEEPING MASK
she’s a fan fave for a reason 🍉 GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask is a lightweight overnight AHA mask meant to gently chemically exfoliate while you sleep. it’s meant to help mostly with dullness, dark spots, and anti-aging. it’s a cool, goopy texture that feels like runny jello (if that makes sense), but its surprisingly not sticky! i’ve had this mini FOREVER, i bought it awhile ago to test out and after using it religiously for a few weeks i put it in my skin fridge and forgot about it. i recently rediscovered it and remembered why i loved it so much. i always wake up with fresh, radiant skin whenever i use this mask, and i’d recommend it to anyone who is trying to get started with AHAs because its super gentle but gives results. the full size is $45, but i think it’s worth it. it smells delicious, it gives your skin a boost, and its easy to slap on right before bed.

(GLOSSIER) PRIMING MOISTURIZER
my first empty of 2020! ✨ i won this Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer in a giveaway awhile back, right when it was starting to cool down. it was actually on my wish list for awhile, so i was super pumped to recieve it! this moisturizer is meant to be light yet “buildable,” and create a dewy look. it mainly targets redness and uneven skin tone to create a fresh and flawless face. it’s not a super thick cream, and glossier is very correct in saying it’s buildable. you can certainly add more and get a richer experience if your skin is dry, but im an oily girl so a nice thin layer was good for me. i liked this a lot, i think it was perfect for me for winter time when i need to switch from all my summer gel moisturizers and get something with a little more hydration. it does have a very dewy finish which honestly im not a huge fan of. if that look is your jam, then i would really recommend this. it’s smooth, it’s nice, and it’s a decent price ($22 for 1.7oz). i would say it’s worth it based on my experience, although i can’t speak on its “priming” aspect because i don’t wear foundation or bb cream or anything like that. i will definitely be purchasing this when the cold weather rolls in again!!
Truly Beauty - Truly Flop
* Hyped product letdown Yep, it’s darn pretty. And it smells yummy! But for me, that’s about it. This one was a huge disappointment for me. I purchased Unicorn Fruit last June before the company had to rename and reformulate their products. I found the body cream to be thick and hard to absorb into the skin. It also left a very oily residue, which was left all over my car seats. And I didn’t put a lot on. What I do like about it is it fruity scent (cotton candy) and it has a soft shimmer to it so I do not mind wearing it on my décolletage. There are other products I like of theirs but this was hugely popular and ended up being a flop for me 😔
TRULY-Unicorn Fruit Body Butter
Do you like to wear a primer? I am not big on primers. I find the pill easily and just don’t do much for my skin. I have received several through my subscription boxes and this one is probably the only one I’ve liked so far. As you can see if comes out with a bit of a tint to it but it settles right into your skin. It is a bit waxy feeling but I also found that to diminish after waiting a few minutes for it to fully settle in. I only use this around my t-zone where my pores are a little more noticeable. It’s definitely different from other primers I’ve tried.

I’d rather get coal than this oil
I'd rather get coal than this horrible oil. I really thought I would atleast like the oil since I didn't like the other two products the brand had gifted me but I was wrong. Once I had gotten a whiff of that familiar nauseating scent I knew I would hate this but decided to try it out. I tried this out for 2 weeks in the day and night at the same time I did the moisturizer that I spoke of in my other review. I wanted to try it to see if this would work better with the moisturizer but..It did nothing since the minute I applied it. This only left my face greasy with a horrible scent and the oil didn't absorb in it just sat on my face strangely. I hated the feeling and had to wash my face after seeing it wouldn't sink in after 30 minutes. This didn't help with my redness or truly anything and it wasn't even nourishing. Overall, It's a waste of time kind of product and I won't use this again. Claims: A concentrated facial oil that absorbs quickly for highspeed overnight repair Targets: Redness, dryness, fine lines and wrinkles Texture: A transparent liquid that feels lightweight and almost watery Some ingredients: 32% cannabis sativa seed oil to help strengthen the skin barrier Bioflavanoids to support healthy skin function Potent plant oils for intensive repair to the skin Price: $54 This is too expensive and not worth it Recommendation: No I don't recommend this because of the strong lingering scent and it being expensive for 1oz. high - High Expectations Cannabis Seed Facial Oil

Here is perfect evidence of how skincare can take care of your skin and make you a better version of yourself. The first picture I was just about 15 years old! Yes I wore glasses and still do from time to time but I like taking pics with my glasses off so you can see my highlight lol where as to in the first pic I knew nothing about shine or taking care of my skin. I just always thought skin changes and there is nothing you can do about it. Luckily I learned some years after about the wonders of skincare and how to apply makeup. The second pic is recent and I!m now 25 years old and all about taking care of my skin and experimenting. You can clearly see here the difference of my skin now from back then. My skin is much more lighter and even and my eyes are wider brighter and even my face has slimmed. I truly never thought I would change but looking at this I can see how different I look now
Bring back the bear
Happy Sunday! ☀️ It’s a sunny day here in New York which makes me feel extra happy (but I can’t wait for 5 o’clock so I can leave work ya knooo) • • @mommys_beauty_reviews was the SWEETEST human ever because she saw my IG story about how I wanted this sold out babe and sent it over to me 😭🐻 I’ve been using this once a week after I use the @briogeo Charcoal Scalp Cleanser and the results have blown me away! • • I haven’t tried their OG Deep Condition Mask yet, but apparently it’s the same formula except this is infused with organic, unpasteurized honey for intense moisture. It’s amazing especially if you’re like me and have dry and long damaged hair (I mean i haven’t had my hair cut in a year now so😅) • • Honey is a known emollient and humectant that works amazing as a hair conditioner/ deep conditioning mask. There is also rosehip oil which is a rich fatty acid to help control frizz and split ends as well as help with free radicals damage. Almond oil is a nourishing oil that enhances the shine and luster of dry or weak hair. This oil also has fatty acids which help to strengthen the hair. Vitamin B-5 is also infused in this formula which helps as a moisturizer, humectant, and emollient. • • I do hope they bring this back one day because I will totally be purchasing again!
