As you can see - I’m really fussed about my undereyes right now 😂⁣ ⁣ I haven’t tested these all out on a long-term basis, but I can tell you my initial thoughts. ⁣ ⁣ PRODUCT: Eye Duty Triple Remedy⁣ PRICE: $36 USD/$48 CAD for 0.34 oz ⁣ KEY INGREDIENTS: Caffeine to De-Puff, Licorice Root for Brightening, Peptides, Titanium Dioxide⁣ INITIAL THOUGHTS: ⁣ This is makeup + skincare in 1. It’s a light peachy colour and works really well to brighten the undereye in a pinch - great for “no makeup” days when you just want to look a little perkier. Cons: It can pill if you’re layering it with other products + I’m pretty sure there is only 1 shade which is fair/medium 👎⁣ ⁣ PRODUCT: Eye Duty Triple Remedy AM Gel Cream ⁣ PRICE: $36 USD/ $48 CAD for 0.5oz ⁣ KEY INGREDIENTS: Sodium Hyaluronate, Peptides, Licorice Root, and Telosomyl - an ingredient thought to limit the shortening of telomeres and therefore delay aging 🧐⁣ INITIAL THOUGHTS: ⁣ A really pleasant gel that would be great if you don’t like to wear an actual eye cream during the day, for me I prefer this for the evening underneath my night time eye cream - for double the hydration! ⁣ ⁣ PRODUCT: FAB Skin Lab Retinol Eye Cream with Triple Hyaluronic Acid ⁣ PRICE: $42.00 USD/ $55.00 for 0.5oz ⁣ KEY INGREDIENTS: Squalane, Shea Butter, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Retinol⁣ INITIAL THOUGHTS: This is my favourite! It has the most buttery texture out of all of these (duh, I guess it’s the Shea butter) and a quick look at the ingredients list is quite impressive! I love the inclusion of MAP which is a vitamin c derivative too. If you like a more nourishing cream/are over the age of 25 I would recommend this one. ⁣ ⁣

Morning routine
My Morning routine is all about protection! Protection from the sun and pollution in the air. I have dry skin and it needs a lot of moisture and hydration. No cleansing. I rarely cleanse in the morning mainly because I have dry skin and cleansing in the morning makes it’s feel dry. I always double cleanse at night to get all grime and makeup off. I just splash with warm water and apply my products First step is the OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum this has hyaluronic acid in which is great for absorbing moisture and putting it back into your skin. Vitamin C is great for the morning but you must use SPF as it makes your skin sensitive to sunlight but when you use SPF with vitamin c they work together to fight off free radicals. Next is a prescription eczema cream now if you don’t have eczema feel free to skip this step. This cream is specifically for this face as it doesn’t have steroids in it and I put it on my eyes and around my mouth when I have flare ups. Next is the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Triple Remedy A.M. Gel Cream very basic eye cream that helps hydrate your skin and just locks moisture in. Don’t have to use an eye cream but it’s always nice to have Then I apply FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration this is a basic moisturiser that hydrates the skin. It has ceramides and antioxidants that help repair and nourish the skin barrier. It is fairly light weight but very moisturising. The most important step and then final one LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Lotion SPF 60 sunscreen is a must ! And this one is amazing for sensitive skin and is very light weight. You must always wear sunscreen during the day. Because the sun is the number one cause of wrinkles and it protects you from more nasty things as well.

{Skincare} FAB Triple remedy AM eye gel
{What is it?} A fast absorbing eye treatment that hydrates , helps skin appear firmer & diminish the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles. {Who is it for?} All skin types & sensitive. {Texture/Consistency?} It is a lightweight hydrating gel, it smooths immediately into the skin. {My thoughts?} I really love this eye gel! I’ve used it mornings only for the past 5 months and it makes my eyes feel so hydrated & really helps my makeup NOT crease. Its perfect underneath all different powders & concealers. It feels so refreshing and cooling. It helped diminish any puffiness I may have in the AM. I find it doesn’t brighten anything though so I don’t like it at night time. I do like the pump bottle as well it’s very easy and clean to get product. {Would I recommend?} Yes, it worked well for my morning time routine. I am not sure if I like the price, it is .5 oz for $36. I will say the product has lasted me since I opened it in March and I consistently have been using it since July and I’m not even half way done! I only use half of a pump. I find that a whole pump is too much. I would defiantly repurchase. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Triple Remedy A.M. Gel Cream

Ulta & Marshall’s Hair & Skin Haul
What’s up my bargain basement bitches? Due to my recent unprecedented BREAKOUT on my damn chin/cheek/mustache area I decided it was time to use my Adult Money ™️ to purchase some new skin ~clearing~ items. Being that I work for the government, I am absolutely the furthest from raking in that dough, so bargains are v appealing to me. I’m an Ulta shopper, not sorry. I don’t give a dern about makeup and I find that Ulta has that good good, cruelty free, clean, & affordable skin care. Also fuck that elitist Sephora energy, my local Ulta has a salon in the back that I can only imagine is the equivalent of a set of Super Cuts side bangs. Featured in this haul: Ulta TULA SKINCARE - Keep It Clear Acne Foam Cleanser($34) TULA SKINCARE - The Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser (free sample) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Adapalene Gel .01% Topical Retinoid Acne Treatment($30) COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence on sale 50% off! ($12) Marshall’s Random ass Facial Steamer ($16) “ABSOLUTEHEAT” Pro Iron Series curling wand ($20) Golden Castor Oil with eyebrow/lash brushes ($7) AQUIS - Hair Towel Waffle Luxe Moody Gray($10) I have been using FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serumand FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Skin Lab Retinol Eye Cream with Triple Hyaluronic Acid which are wonderful, especially the eye cream which completely blasted the dry patch near the corner of my eye that was there for MONTHS but I felt like tapering up a bit after introducing retinol for the first time about a month and a half ago. It is also likely that the breakout on my chin/cheeks is due to the retinol serum (I currently use 2-3x wk and don’t use any actives with it except for Mad Hippie - Triple C Night Creamwhich I’m prettty sure clogs the shit out of my pores but w/e). I will post a skin check-in tomorrow & eventually review these products after I work them into my routine. So far, so good! I will say the Tula SA cleanser had a super strong tea tree fragrance which isn’t a dealbreaker for me so much as a indicator of some powerful shit. Fingers crossed this gets the pesky comedones on my chin/upper lip to dissolve 🤓. In the meantime, comment below with your favorite sheet masks to use with the face steamer! I got it for my bf mostly, as well as an extraction toolkit because he likes to take things into his own hands with his skin and I respect that- so I got him some tools that can be sterilized & keep him from poking holes his face with my stolen embroidery needles.

Retinol Eye Cream
As someone who struggles with fine lines, darkness, and occasional puffiness under my eyes, an eye cream can be very helpful for me. I enjoy occasionally using eye creams in my skincare routine, although I do think of them as being a glorified and overpriced facial moisturizer. That is, unless it contains an active ingredient such as retinol! THE inkey LIST - Retinol Eye Cream If you are looking for an affordable and worthwhile eye cream, this is for you. I will admit it doesn’t make a super noticeable difference, but it feels nice and is priced very reasonably for what it is. It feels hydrating and is gentle enough for the under eye area. My under eyes are super sensitive and can flake and burn if I apply products (such as concealer or under eye treatments) that irritate it. This cream caused no such problem. FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Skin Lab Retinol Eye Cream with Triple Hyaluronic Acid If you are looking for a retinol eye cream that will make a more noticeable difference I recommend trying the retinol eye cream from First Aid Beauty. It is definitely pricey and absolutely not a necessary purchase, but if you have the money and want an amped up version of the Inkey List retinol eye cream, this is a great option! Someone gifted it to me and I enjoyed using it, but because of the price I would not buy it for myself. While I decided to discontinue using both of these products because I found them to be slightly unnecessary in my current routine, I recommend both to those who are looking for help with their under eyes. Neither one caused me any irritation at any point. If you have tried these products or have any product recommendations please let me know in the comments!

Eye cream
Eye cream
TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream As described by the brand “An anti-aging eye cream that melts to release a double shield of hydration with line-smoothing liquid silk and moisture-locking Japanese White Peony for youthful, radiant eyes.” It targets fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, dullness and uneven texture. It has a thick buttery texture and it melts into the skin. It applies very smoothly and works well under makeup. I have used it for around 3 months now. But I use it mostly during my morning routine. At night, I prefer richer eye cream for hydration. This eye cream is very gentle, smooth. It has never irritated my skin. I have actually observed improvement in my fine lines. I recommend this to those who need a good anti aging eye cream. This eye cream is pricey 60$ for 0.5 oz but it is worth it. The product goes a very long way. I love its packaging, the ingredients and also that it is a clean beauty product.

My go-to eye cream and moisturiser for daily use
My go-to eye cream and moisturiser for daily use
If there ever was a dream eye cream and moisturiser combo then this is it! Drunk Elephant’s C-Tango Multivitamin eye cream and Elemis’ Hydra-Boost Day Cream are a match made in skincare heaven. My main concern for my skin is without a doubt, hydration. I look in the mirror and my skin looks tired and flat. I have dry-combination skin and sometimes dark circles around the eye area. I use both products twice daily and can see immediate effects upon first use! DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream This is the best eye cream I have ever used - brighter, firmer, stronger-looking skin around your eyes! Aimed at repairing damage and brightening the skin under and around each eye, this cream is enriched with cucumber extract, vitamin C and a blend of eight peptides. These ingredients work together to enhance the skin, supporting a younger-looking complexion. Gentle yet powerful, this soothing concoction is enough to improve even stubborn signs of damage – and the peachy, airtight bottle looks great on display. Gently, with your ring finger, pat a pump of C-Tango then follow with your Elemis moisturiser. ELEMIS - Hydra-Boost Day Cream Normal to Dry Skin This super-nourishing, antioxidant rich day cream helps provide ultimate hydration and moisturisation to comfort my skin. Elemis use Hyaluronic Acid to lock in essential moisture. The cream smells delicious and my skin is always left feeling nourished, smooth and supple. I am obsessed with this product, it makes my face feel so nourished and the glow afterwards is amazing! Apply to cleansed, dry skin every morning and evening. You only need a pea size amount to gently smooth over the face and always use upward stroking sweeping motions when applying to your face.

. Pestle & Mortar: 🖤Hydrate 🖤Balance not pictured because Monday. 🖤Recover . I’ve heard lots of good things about Recover, & I am a tough customer when it comes to eye creams. I expect a lot from them & have been disappointed by many. Recover didn’t let me down! It is a lovely, nourishing, smoothing Eye cream that worked hard for me. Now, I only used this am’s, as I use an eye cream balm for nights. But it really held up & kept my lines at bay. Pairs wonderfully with my concealer, & left me pretty amazed with its results. I’m 41 & my wrinkles under my eye aren’t a “concern”, but they def can look so much more pronounced when testing not an up to par eye cream. Hydrate is a triple peptide lightweight day moisturiser. No frills, an almost there citrusy scent that makes me think I may be going crazy for smelling anything at all, let’s me layer all the serums I want underneath & is perfect for my combo skin. Balance fine misting spritz didn’t wow me, to be honest, but not many toners do. What I love the most about Pestle & Mortar is there no frills, no nonsense, no gimmicky approach to skincare. What you see is what you get. I adore the minimalist, well built packaging. Plus the customer service is SO good that it really makes me adore the brand that much more.
