If you are using any other mic
If you are using any other micellar water, you really need to re-evaluate what you are doing with your life 😛⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Some trusty faves I haven’t spoken about recently. If you’ve been following for a while you know I’m a big fan of the Bioderma Sensibio line. The micellar water is super gentle and effective. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The Sensibio Light Soothing Cream is the heaviest face cream in my rotation, and if you are oily skinned, it’s really not light at all tbh. It’s really great though, silky and sits well under makeup. This is silicone free but does contain mineral oil if that’s an issue for you. I love to have this on hand for when my skin is irritated too. A face cream I will always have in my rotation 🙃.

The weird eye burning clay mas
The weird eye burning clay mask 🔥 ⁣ ⁣ Herbal Dynamics was nice enough to let me pick a few items to try, which I was very excited about because their ingredients are super interesting and they have a good price point. I’ll write more about the lip mask and the toner later, but for today I wanted to talk about the Cacao and Chamomile Clay Mask. ⁣ ⁣ Someone warned me not to put the mask near my eyes, so on my first try, I thought I was being careful and keeping it away from my eyes - but nope. My eyes burnt and watered like the dickens. The funny thing is it doesn’t irritate my skin at all. I’ve tried sulfur, lavender, and salicylic acid many times before and I’ve never had that reaction, so I find it very strange. I think it must be the sulfur because what else would be burning my eyes just by the fumes??⁣ ⁣ In any event, I will continue to use this on my beard area (the acne zone), so far it’s non irritating to my skin and less drying than other clay masks. I’ll keep you posted once I’ve tested it a few more times. ⁣ ⁣ Swipe for ingredients ➡️➡️⁣ ⁣ Have you tried it? Have you ever had random eye watering from an otherwise good product?

Oils for my acne

On the one
Oils for my acne On the one hand, I feel like there is so much potential for an oil so heal and soothe my skin. On the other hand putting anything heavy on my face scares me. This week I’m testing out rosehip seed oil after hearing a lot of good things about it for acne prone skin. I’ve been mixing it in with my Bioderma Sensibio Light and so far it’s going really well. Feels like a nice healing combination.

Last nights PM routine. I had
Last nights PM routine. I had some pretty bad breakouts this week, but my face made a quick turn around . I’m giving the credit to the rose hip oil. It really is a godsend for acne! I’ve been finding that it’s helping my p.i.e. heal and just helps the condition of my skin overall without causing any new issues or congestion. So far so good with this little guy 🤞🌹❤️

I’ve started a new relationshi
I’ve started a new relationship - skincare relationship that is. This Dr.Brandt eye de-puffing Gel is something I never knew I needed. Although I’m aware of the state of my eyes, my acne is always my main concern and overshadows any other concerns I might have. My eyes do get puffy, but that’s small potatoes compared to cystic acne. However, now that I’ve got this little bad boy in my arsenal, I really see the difference it makes. I look younger on a day to day basis! The real question now, does this new relationship fit into my budget lifestyle??? Repurchase TBD....

Biossance Squalane + Probiotic
Biossance Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer. Y’all know how I feel about a good gel moisturizer 😍. I’m loving this one too. It has a lovely texture and feeling on the . It has the light you expect from a gel, with just a little more chutzpah then you might have had with other gel products like the Clinique moisture surge concentrate or the Tarte drink of H2O. I’m not 100% sure I buy the concept of probiotics in care, but I can say that I believe this has been helping heal up some P.I.E. I’m about half way th this and still on the fence about if I’ll buy the full size - $64 CAD for 50ml is more than I would usually spend.
