skin transformation diaries: intro and 1 week!
I've decided to undergo a little skin care transformation. Pictures are from the 1 week I've used these products so far! I am going to continue this routine and post more entries as I go on. The products I use are: 1. Spacewash by Starface a. Applied with Meejee 2. Thayer's Witch Hazel Toner (spray form) 3. The Ordinary's Niacinamide a. Applied with Jade Roller 4. (Under eyes) The Ordinary's Caffeine Solution a. Applied with Jade Roller 5. (AM ONLY) Glossier Invisible Shield 35 SPF 6. Moisture on Mars by Starface Sometimes I like to use the Starface pimple patches⭐️ Reviews: 1. Spacewash by Starface- 11/10! Hands down the best face wash I've ever used. It foams really nicely especially paired with my Meejee, and leaves my skin feeling so clean. 2. Meejee- 10/10! Exceeded my expectations 10 fold. Really nothing I could think of improving in this product. It's super gentle on my sensitive skin, it feels really nice and really gets the job done cleansing my skin. 3. Thayer's Witch Hazel Toner- 6/10. I've been using this product for 3 years and I really do think it works but as many people will tell you, it does burn a little bit. 4. The Ordinary Niacinamide- 8/10. I haven't developed much of an opinion on this product yet but I think it's definitely helped to minimize the textures in my skin. Although I didn't take any pictures of this, around my jaw on my cheeks is very textured and I've noticed some serious improvement! 5. The Ordinary Caffeine Solution- ??/10. I haven't been paying attention to if this works or not😬😬Sorry! I will be taking more of that in the future. 6. Jade Roller by ina beauty- 11/10! I was looking for a cheap roller to get and I found this one on Amazon for $7. Read some reviews and my expectations weren't very high but I was blown away but the quality of this thing. I absolutely love using it especially because it's nice and cold even though I keep it in a room temp drawer in my bathroom! Feels very nice. 7. Glossier Invisible Shield- 7/10. I doubt there will be a physical change caused by this product because it's a protective measure, and a necessary one in Texas! The only reason I've taken some points off is because it makes my skin feel kind of greasy, although it goes away after given proper time to absorb, and sometimes i notice what appears to be dead skin coming off of my face but I think it's something from the sunscreen. I'm not sure though. 8. Moisture on Mars by Starface- 200000/10!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE. I have "normal" skin, and moisturizers make it oily but a moisturizer is necessary. When I found this product I think God sent it from Heaven himself. I adore this product. It makes my skin so glowy and doesn't feel heavy or cause any breakouts due to unnecessary oil. LOVE.The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% STARFACE - Space Wash meejee - Meejee The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen
Since I been working from home I was finally able to get a morning routine and found one that works for me, and can be done when I’m in a rush especially. So I start off by washing my face w the Aveeno - Positively Radiant Brightening Facial Cleanser , I just got it from target bc I needed something less concentrated and drying. So just as a gentle cleanser in the morning I like this. Once I dry my face, and I’ve toned using my THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist . I drop a few drops of Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil and apply it to my chin as that’s where most of my concerns are ; I have a lot of hyperpigmentation in that area bc of my PCOS. Just before moving on, for a little extra uumph and hydration, I mist my hyaluronic acid and rose water spray and fan it dry. Next, I begin w my serums. So from “lightest to heaviest”. I apply my Nolaskinsentials - Brightening-C Serum (I LOVE THIS SERUM!!!!! It has helped soooo much with lightening my dark spots, in addition to it helping brighten my skin all together... 12/10 rating! And it’s blackowned) I follow that up w The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (not pictured since I’m waiting for my package to be delivered). Currently I’m using a product as a fill in. I bought this from Marshall’s for about $5 so I may just use this and compare the two once my package does arrive. Bc it’s honestly a pretty decent serum. Moving right along, w my The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG , I use this for my eyes bc ya girl apparently hates a good night’s rest and I started getting bags under my eyes, this came as a shock bc never have I ever and also my eyes are too small for bags so I definitely had to get that situated and seriously it helps. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t really have a “concern” of their eye area bc it is still good to just be proactive and preserve your good eyes while you have a chance! And to wrap things up, I finish off with my Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer the best stuff ever and my Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 . I learned recently that 1. Hydrated skin and moisturized skin are in two completely different categories. The water gel moisturizer is a good investment if you’ve had issues with your pores. Literally the holy grail! And super affordable. And I just got into using sunscreen and omg !!! My life literally did a 180° and I’m obsessed. Don’t leave the house w out it anymore!!! So good for dark spots!!! So yeah, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Everyone’s skin is different, and I hope you’re able to be inspired to find what works for you!

My Easy 3-Step Morning Skincare Routine! Time Saver👍
Sometimes when it comes to my morning skincare routine, I have to hurry up and choose a very simple skincare process to get my skin hydrated and prepared for makeup. I use Eaoron- Ceramide water, ESTÉE LAUDER Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask, and Clarins double serum. This process is quick, simple, and effective. ESTĒE LAUDER - Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask The most important process is to wash my face clearly to remove dead cells, excess oil, and impurities from pores. The best cleanser I found is ESTÉE LAUDER's cleanser. I have combination skin, so there is always oily around my T-zone. this foaming Moisturizing Facial Wash can deeply clean my face and give me a fresh and cool feeling. #Eaoron - Ceramide Solid Water [products]#[FiveStars] Eaoron-Ceramide Solid Water is a hydrating toner. when using it, I sprat it evenly on my cleansed face and wait 20 seconds until fully absorbed and wipe off excess with a paper towel. The process is very simple and easy. It won’t cost more than one minute, but I can enjoy the fresh feeling of the spray. I can feel it is a hydrating treatment that provides long-term moisture to the skin. The treatment concludes Antarctic glacial water, Rose extract, and other botanical ingredients. I like the sweet rosy scent of the product and I have used it every day for the last few months and notice a more even skin tone. I feel very comfortable after using this and it helps my moisturizer and serum absorb easier. CLARINS - Double Serum Complete Age Control Concentrate The last process is to use a good serum to ensure the hydration of my face. This serum has many planet extracts for anti-aging. One important ingredient is turmeric, which has been used for more than thousands of years for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. it has kept my skin so moisturized since I have started using it and it has released my dry skin. After applying double serum, my face is soft and smooth enough that I do not use any primer. It does save me time in the busy morning. This process is the simplest and most effective skincare routine in the busy morning. highly recommend these products to those who have combination skin.
👌3 Steps - Rush Morning Skincare
I feel like I’m always in a hurry every week day morning. Can morning skincare be simple and effective? While I am rushing for everything, I really don’t have much time for skincare. After a year of finding the most effective way, here is my 3 step morning skincare routine that I found most simple and effective. The first step obviously, is to clean the skin. Some people just wake up and rinse their face. If you really have good skincare routine the night before and you don’t feel like you need to. I am a combination dry, and I always wake up with an oily and dull face. I have to use cleanser in the morning for removing those natural oil. If you are like me, I suggest you try a cleanser with actives in it. ESTĒE LAUDER - Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask Some of the ingredients that it contains are like Myristic Acid, Glycerin, Behenic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, that can effectively removes impurities without drying, leaving skin smooth. I like it is making my skin fresh and soft in the morning. Next is a toner. SK-II - Facial Treatment Clear Lotion Toner This toner is very gentle. For my morning routine, I try to find something that is not too heavy but still moisturizing for my skin. It was really moisturizing and my skin became smooth. This one really brightened my complexion and reduced redness, and my skin felt plump and hydrated. Normally at this step my skin is already damp and soft, I still go with a moisturizer for extra hydration. ESTĒE LAUDER - Revitalizing Supreme Light+ Global Anti-Aging Cell Power Creme Oil-Free Since I will be wearing makeup and stay inside with air conditioning running all day, I want a cream that helps to prevent dehydration. I just put a bit in my hands, rub my hands together to melt it, and gently pad it into my face and neck. By rubbing and padding, you can feel it absorbs quickly and does not leave a layer at the skin at all. You can also add sunscreen after this step prevent from UV damage. And this is my simple and effective 3 step morning routing. It saves a lot of time for me in the morning and still keep my skin moisturized throughout the day.
Coco Cleanse Like No Other!
Ingredient: Coconut oil, Argan oil Product: BURT’S BEES - Cleansing Oil with Coconut & Argan Oils Coconut has always been one of my favorite natural ingredients as it’s notorious in getting your body soft and smooth, it’s a great hair and scalp treatment, plus it’s a great makeup remover too. If your skin isn’t as sensitive as mine, you can even use 100% natural coconut oil to remove your makeup. I got this makeup remover from the beauty aisle of a local department store. I’m a sucker for minimal packaging so I went ahead and bought it when I emptied my trusted Bioderma micellar water. Its consistency is super light, a tiny bit thicker than water. And even if it’s oil-based, it doesn’t feel sticky on my face. It feels light and it’s really effective in taking out my makeup. I apply it on my face when it’s dry then I just use a face towel to get rid of dirt and all of my makeup. It’s effective in taking out foundation, blush, and lipstick but it doesn’t do a great job in erasing my liquid eyeliner. I feel like I have to rub it on way too hard to get rid of my eye makeup. But other than that, it’s a gentle way to cleanse the face since it’s an all-natural product.

But for now it works great!Neutrogena - Deep Moisture, Day Cream with Sunscreen, Broad Spectrum SPF 20

Current PM Routine
I’m very early in my journey of finding the right products for my skin and clearing my acne. I currently love theCeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream My skin can be angry with pimples and redness but by morning redness is minimum and dryness gone. I also love MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion for treating active acne. This lotion seriously reduces the life and size of pimples overnight. All other products pictured above I’m still experimenting with and very open to suggestions for my combination, acne-prone, aging, dull and rough skin.

Effective Quick Morning Routine For A Busy Morning🥰🥰
Let’s face it. All of us hope to do that comprehensive 1-hour skincare routine every morning. All the procedures of a detailed morning skincare regimen we read about could easily add up to more than ten steps but sometimes we just want a quick routine to get us out of the door fast, with a well-prepped and flawless face all day long. Like many of you guys, my face can’t decide on just one condition. For my combination skin, half of my face feels tight and dry, especially my cheeks, while the other half (slash T-zone) is oily and prone to breakouts. A quick solid morning routine is just as crucial as a normal one when I have more time. For this quick morning routine, I try to use skincare with multi-tasking properties or apply two skincare products on my face at the same time. I also automatically lean towards products I know that will deliver high efficacy aka products that I know will do their job well. They usually boasts a higher concentration of more powerful ingredients. To be honest, I try to do a complete skincare routine but this quick routine works well when I am pressed for time in the morning when I need more time for other activities, like preparing a longer breakfast, doing a morning workout or... when I am hungover and sleep in later than usual. So, here goes. These are some things I do when I need a quick and efficient morning routine that will not shortchange my skin’s needs before the day starts. o Cleanse with cold water There’s a long-standing debate on how water temperature can affect our complexion when we wash our face. Which direction should we turn the dial to? In the mornings, I lean towards a cold wash. Some studies have shown that cold water can act as an astringent and cause skin to retract temporarily to reduce morning puffiness, especially around the under-eye area. Splashing cold water on my skin is not only refreshing, it also wakes me up more quickly. Still, I like to switch to lukewarm to warm water in the evening as I believe that warm water reacts with the cleanser more effectively to remove enough dirt and to balance the natural skin oils appropriately. o Massage a rich moisturizer that is lightweight at the same time If I am pressed for time, I skipped the face toner and serum after cleansing. I am a fan of using face toners so trust me when I say that I don’t use this routine very often. My CLARINS - RE-BOOST Refreshing Hydrating Cream is a go-to for a recharging and effective morning cream. The silky and light cream-gel moisturizer feels lightweight for day use. Infused with a cocktail of nourishing fruit extracts like organic goji berry, fig, acerola seed, organic apricot oil and tamarind pulp acid, the cream boost my skin’s energy and hydration - fast. I spread the cream with slightly more pressure than usual all over my face, and even under my eyes. As I will be using fewer products than usual, I massage my face for a slightly logner time to ensure that skin fully absorbs the essence of the cream. Yes, I have no time. I will skip the eye cream. o Spray sunscreen that corrects skin tone Sunscreen is something I will never skip in my morning routine, even if I am looking at staying indoors all day. To save time, I use a spray sunscreen instead of the usual cream sunscreens that we are more familiar with. SUNPLAY - Skin Aqua Tone Up UV Essence SPF50+ PA++++ is easy to use – shake the spray can vigorously for 4 times and spray in an even circular motion 10 to 15cm away from your face. Not only do my face gets its essential SPF50 and PA++++ protection, the lavender-tinted formula also luminize my yellow skin undertone to give my complexion a healthy radiance. That’s two benefits in one product. Win! o Collagen spray to end with a dewy look One of my best kept K-beauty secrets, ETUDE - Moistfull Collagen Emulsion is my favorite moisture spray. With hydrolyzed colllagen and baobab tree extract as its main ingredients, the formula gives a lightweight, water-based, yet highly moisturizing content that boost your skin with a plump, soft, and dewy texture. After sunscreen or my make-up routine, I use the spray on my face to set my skincare and make-up products. The dewy feel and look also gives an illusion that I had use a full range of skincare products on my face. Definitely one of my favorite beauty products!
