Banana Powder Application A Day Keeps The Eye Wrinkles At Bay
Ingredient: Banana and Vitamin C Product: #OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème[products]# Are you one of the people who used the Ben Nye Banana Powder that was so popular some time in the early 2000s? I was one of them, and I was really into it that time. So when I came across this banana eye cream on Instagram, it reminded me of the 2000 iconic banana powder that has a brightening effect. I thought to myself, maybe the banana fruit has indeed a brightening effect on the skin. Apart from banana, this product is also packed with Vitamin C. It’s the queen of brightening ingredients. It is known to help ease out discoloration, even out skin tone, and treat hyperpigmentation. It’s no wonder that skincare products that are specifically targeted to eliminating pigmentation contain Vitamin C. My skin type is dry combination and thankfully, I don’t suffer from eye wrinkles yet. But you know what they say about prevention being the best cure, so I can’t just wait for my wrinkles to arrive; I need to prevent them from surfacing. This product is pretty new to my routine; I just bought it about 2 weeks ago but wow, this product does an amazing job so it will stay on my shelf. I suffer from pretty dark under eye circles, but in the first week of using it regularly, I noticed a difference already in the tone of my under eye area. It appeared to be brighter thus, I look more awake and not tired. I love that it feels creamy but it doesn’t cake up so it’s a good makeup base too. Will definitely continue using this.
The Crowd-Pleaser that Disappointed
I wanted to love this SO badly. All the comments and reviews gushed about how life-changing this product was. I was already a big fan of the Truth Serum, and had used the C-Rush brightening cream before (but felt it was a little ‘meh’). I also know that my skin can be tricky, so I ordered the miniature size to test it out for a few weeks. Overall, I would give OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème maybe 2.5/5 stars. I know, I know: how could I?! But hear me out. Claims to fame: Brightening Hydrating Reduces Finelines and Wrinkles Let’s start with some positives: Smells like orange candy or a creamsicle! This could be a negative to some, but the smell reminded me of summer, so I liked that. Secondly, I liked the texture. It was a bit thicker than most eye creams, but I love thicker eye creams in general. Finally, I did notice that my under eyes were a bit brighter with the first use! I have to say that the peachy-orange tint really does wonders to color-correct the purple-blue tones. So, why 2.5 stars? Firstly, I found this cream never actually absorbed into my skin. It just sort of sat on my skin, even after 15-30 minutes. Additionally, I found it to be greasy. Since it didn’t absorb quickly, when I would look in the mirror it looked like I had put olive oil around my eyes. I also noticed that since it didn’t absorb into my skin, it began to settle into the fine lines under my eyes. I could see product in the crevices even after attempting to gently press it in. And the final straw, before I called it quits, was that it irritated my skin so badly. For the first few days, I didn’t really think much of it. I felt that the tingling might just be how this product feels, but after about 9 days it got so much worse. On the final day I used it, immediately after applying it on fresh clean skin (just to be sure it wasn’t reacting with other products), the outside corner of my eyes felt like they were on fire. It was only a bit red but it felt unbearable. I re-washed my face and ended up having to apply some aloe to the area to calm it down. Normally, I would assume it was a reaction to the fragrance in this since the smell is so strong, but I use other products in this line without this reaction. So I’m still trying to figure out what happened. A quick search on google and reddit led me to a thread where people expressed similar reactions to this product: so sensitive-skin beauty buffs beware! I really wish I could say this product lived up to the hype, but I think this is on my no-fly list for sensitive skin ✌🏼

Saturday skin brand spotlight!
The Saturday skin pretty pop probiotic power whipped cream is a soft and luxurious whipped cream with probiotics activated by probiotics for healthy and radiant looking skin! It can be solutions for fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, loss of firmness and elasticity. The texture of this is so creamy and thick and it feels like you are putting whipped cream on your face, it is so soft and dense and does a great job at moisturizing my face! I have been using this for about 3 months and I purchased it from a friend recommending it to me, and I fell in love. It didn’t make me break out, it’s so so hydrating, and I saw great results in my skins moisture level! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing moisturizer for dry or oily skin. It is more on the pricier side but is so worth it! This is why this is one of my favorite products from Saturday skin! Another one of my favorite products the Saturday skin wide awake brightening eye cream is a hydrating eye cream with date seed extract that illuminates and refreshes the eye area! It can help dryness, dark circles, and puffiness under the eyes. The texture of this is a very lightweight cream, that is so cooling under the eyes but moisturizes so nice! I purchased this eye cream about 3 months ago in a set with 3 other products from Saturday skin because when this set came out I knew I had to get it, and when I tried it I immediately fell in love. I use it so often and will definitely repurchase after I run out! It is so hydrating, didn’t break me out, and I saw great results in my dark circles when I woke up the morning after using it. I would certainly recommend this to others because it is so amazing and really helps with dark circles and feels so light and creamy under the eyes! It is $46 for 1.01oz which is a great size because you literally only need a little dot to cover both under eyes! One of my least favorite products from the brand is the Saturday skin bright potion probiotic power serum it is a potent serum enriched with encapsulated probiotics activated by probiotics creating a powerful solution for luminous and healthy looking skin! This serum can be used for normal, dry, oily, and combination skin types. This can be solutions for acne prone skin, dryness, and fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and uneven texture! The texture of this is a thick gel/cream that has little probiotics in it that dissolve in your skin! I have used this for about 3 months and got it in a set with other mini Saturday skin products and really havent seen any results with this serum! This serum didn’t break me out but is really no better then any of my other serums. This product is definitely not worth purchasing for the price of $51 for 1oz because it is not worth it when there are way better cheaper versions out there! I really do love most Saturday skin products though and would definitely recommend trying out this incredible brand, just because some products didn’t work out for me they may be amazing for you! I found this brand about 6 months just from all the hype on instagram! They then came out with a set with four of there products in mini size on Sephora and I immediately got it, it was very well priced as well and I fell in love with all there products!SATURDAY SKIN - Wide Awake Brightening Eye Cream with Avocado SATURDAY SKIN - Pretty Pop Probiotic Power Whipped Cream SATURDAY SKIN - Bright Potion Probiotic Power Serum
SATURDAY SKIN-Bright Potion Probiotic Power Serum
This Dermalogica eye serum contains antioxidant vitamins (defend against free radicals), protective silicones (diminish fine lines and smooths skin), and Red Seaweed Extract that combat fine lines around the eye area. There is also Green Tea to soothe the skin. I use this on the under eye area, eye lid, and brow bone. I am middle 20s, so thankfully don’t have any fine lines yet, but using it as a preventative! This product is targeted for erasing fine lines around the eye area. It functions as hydrating, soothing, and erasing fine lines. The texture of this is a smooth, silicone-like texture that easily sinks into the skin. I have fallen in love with this product, I use it in the morning since it says it can be worn under makeup. It sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave behind an oily feeling. I have been staying up later and get up early (have 8ams 😫) and this has helped I’m sure with not getting lines from lack of sleep, I’m also a smiler so smile/laugh lines are headed my way. I would recommend this product, but only on sale since it’s so expensive. A neat aspect of this is that they say it can be used on smile lines! Price: $65 for 0.5 ounces Rating 4/5

Farmacy eye cream!
The farmacy dew it all total eye cream is a moisturizing eye cream that helps minimize signs of stress and fatigue while delivering hydration to help soothe and nourish the eye area! It is great to solve fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and uneven texture and loss of firmness and elasticity. The texture is very thick but lightweight and very creamy! I absolutely love using this eye cream and I got it about a year ago from a friend recommending it to me. It is very hydrating and didn’t break me out, but I saw great results in my under eyes after using it for a while. I would recommend this to others because it is a great overall eye cream and can be used with all skin types! It is worth the $38 for .5oz because I know a lot of you will really love this product as much as I did!🌾🌼FARMACY - Dew It All Total Eye Cream

Pricey eye serum!
SUNDAY RILEY - Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream I received this cute little sample from a gift-set by the Dermstore. I’ve used this eye serum for about four days and nights this week. I certainly don’t dislike it, but I’m not sure it’s worth the price. Sunday Riley advertises this as a cream that will help de puff and brighten the under-eye area. It feels intensely moisturizing while maintaining a thin, spreadable consistency. This DOES make my under eyes look better because it adds moisture and has a tiny amount of shimmery mica, which subtlety diffuses the light. My main concerns/complaints with this product are the price and fragrant ingredients. Although you only need a very little bit, $65 is a lot to spend on an eye cream. If you’re considering buying this, I would absolutely recommend asking for a sample first, and maybe trying out some cheaper options before you splurge on this one. I’m also trying to be a bit more mindful about potentially sensitizing ingredients that I put on my skin, and I’ve been trying to avoid leave-on products with fragrance, especially around sensitive areas like the eyes. Unfortunately, this eye serum contains multiple purely fragrant ingredients, so it’s not something I would choose to pay full price for at this point.

🍊AMAZING EYE CREAM EMPTY🍊
This is an amazing eye cream that smells very lightly of citrus. It is a thick consistency that really hydrates dehydrated under eyes. However, it is not heavy and it absorbs into the skin quickly. I bought this product because I heard one of my favorite youtubers talking about how much she loved it. She had gone through 4 bottles of it which made me think that my dry and dehydrated under eyes needed this. I have myself gone through three of these containers already but when I’m starting to realize is that I really don’t like fragrance in my skin care products. So for that reason I will not be re-purchasing this Eye cream and I will be looking for an alternative to replace it. I still think this is an amazing product that does a great job at prepping you for make up or just giving your under eyes an added hydration boost. #OLEHENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème[products]#[FourStars] It also claims to have brightening affects underneath the eyes because of the color that the product is. However I did not find that my under eyes appeared any brighter through using this even daily. If you have any recommendations that are similar to this cream but do not contain fragrance I would love to know.
