I spend a little way too much on skincare and makeup.
I Didn’t Know Mushroom Can Smoothe Out The Skin
Sulwhasoo - Essential Balancing Emulsion Mushrooms are known for their medicinal properties, and they’re really good to eat too! But I didn’t know that it offers such great benefits to the skin. One of them being anti-inflammatory and it aids in treating rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis. I have dry combination and extremely sensitive skin, so this ingredient sounds about right for me. The first time I tried it, it went extremely smooth on my face, and it instantly softened my face, giving it a bouncy, plump look and feel. The only downside is the bottle. It was pretty hard to get the product out, and it was full, so I can just imagine how frustrating it’ll be when I’m halfway through the bottle. Like the First Care Serum, it smells like ginger or Asian herbs to me, which is revitalizing. Made me feel like I’m in an Asian spa or something. Its consistency is part milky, part creamy, and it’s super hydrating. I felt it instantly when I applied it on. I apply it after my clear serums and before my rich moisturizer. I would have to see how my skin will react to it long-term though cause I’ve only been using it for 2 nights now, but so far, it feels really good on my skin.

Honey To Soothe My Sensitive Skin
Sulwhasoo - Clarifying Mask I have a dry combination skin and it leans on the sensitive side too. I’m prone to redness and irritation if I don’t use the right products, if I put too much of a particular product, or if I eat greasy and unhealthy food. On top of it, I get psoriasis flare-ups too when I’m stressed or when I eat too much sugar. My skin’s so complicated! So I need products that will help me calm my skin down when it’s throwing a tantrum. I came across this product on YouTube. There are a number of reviews saying it instantly calmed down their acne so I had high expectations from this mask. It goes on like a super thick honey consistency, and it smells amazing. Although Sulwhasoo products have a reputation to smell like Asian herbs so the scent might not suit everyone. After cleaning my face and applying the First Care Serum, I put a pretty thick layer on my cheeks and nose cause those are my problem areas. My cheeks get red when I’m irritated, it has huge pores, and my nose has blackheads on them. I left it on for about 30 minutes, then I peeled it. It was the most satisfying feeling cause it was super easy to peel it off of my skin. I didn’t see any difference from before I applied the mask on and after. But the difference surfaced the morning after. My skin looked and felt so smooth. I think it was the honey ingredient in this mask that did the job. It was super smooth, like my pores tightened a bit, and it made such a difference on the redness on my cheeks. I think over time, it will really help in tightening my huge pores and clearing out the blackheads on my nose. I’ve used it once only since I just bought it a couple of days ago, but it’s recommended to use a couple of times a week so that’s what I’ll do. So far, I would recommend it to those who have visibly large pores, redness, and uneven skin texture.
Serum + Concentration Cream For The Win!
Kiehl's - Midnight Recovery Concentrate Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Serum is value for money. It is meant to be used at night before bedtime to help replenish the skin and I can say it succeeds in that. Whenever I use this, I wake up to a very soft skin as if I had some treatment done. I like using this when I feel like my skin is really tired and it needs some extra loving. I apply three drops on my face, one on each cheek and another on the forehead. I then spread it all over my face down to my neck. I make sure though that I use 3 drops only, and once a day only, as my skin reacts violently with it if I put way too much. It goes beyond adding moisture to my skin, it heals and quenches my skin. I’ve been in love with this product for years now! Definitely recommend this for everyone, no matter what your skin type is. Embryolisse - Lait Crème Concentré I’ve seen makeup artists using the Embryolisse creme and that really sparked my curiosity. At first I was hesitant because its name suggests it’s a heavily concentrated cream, and might be too much for the humid climate. But I was wrong. It’s a great moisturizer and primer. It moisturizes my skin without the sticky heavy feeling I would usually get from a cream consistency. It dries really fast too. And as a primer, it feels close to those mattifying primers, without the silky texture. It’s really great and I recommend using it either daytime or at night. I usually use this in tandem with the Kiehl’s night serum as I find that they work very well together. I have dry skin so I can layer in 10 products on my face, and still get dry skin in the morning when I wake up. When I use these products together, I wake up with glowing, dewy skin. Great product if you’re working on sealing back the moisture to your skin, and to achieve that overall glow. Definitely a must-try!

Purify And Protect For A Healthy, Happy, Glowing skin
Dr. G Toner Pore Purifying Toner I have nothing but praise for this Dr. G Toner. It is one of my favorite toners, and I would buy it over and over again. It is meant to tighten magnified pores, and I could definitely say it does the job very well. I notice my pores appearing smaller since I started using it. It also gives a silky and clean feeling unlike some toners that feel like they dry out my dry combination skin. It doesn’t strip off my skin’s natural oils but it does help control it, especially in the T-zone area. It smells good too. It feels such a treat each time I use this toner. I really love this product. Dr. G Airy Skin Up Sun I like using sunscreen after I apply moisturizer during the day so I can prevent new dark spots from appearing. I’ve been guilty of not wearing sunscreen when I was younger, and I now pay its price for the sunspots and hyperpigmentation I start to suffer from. The Dr. G Airy Skin Up sunscreen is really good as it doesn’t feel greasy and dries up pretty quickly. It also dries clear and doesn’t add any white cast on the face. A little goes a long way with this product and blends well. It’s great to use everyday under my makeup and highly recommend it.
Tangerine + Anti-Pollution Innovation To Keep My Skin Glowing
goodal - Green Tangerine Vita C Dark Spot Serum Set The Goodal Green Tangerine Serum helps add moisture to my skin. I especially like applying this at night so it can help in healing and repairing my skin as I go to sleep. It doesn’t feel very sticky even if it’s a serum, and my skin easily absorbs it. When I started using it consistently, I noticed my skin brightening and there are no additional dark spots on my cheeks. A couple of pumps is what I really need with this one. When I wake up in the morning, my skin feels so supple and soft so I know it is really working. CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly As soon as I am done with my toner and serums, I apply the Clinique Anti-Pollution Moisturizer. I like using this during the day before I go out because it feels really light on my skin. It works well with my dry combination skin type by keeping it hydrated and preventing it from drying out. It has a jelly consistency, and is lighter than a cream so this is perfect for those who have oily skin too. My skin absorbs it easily and it’s perfect for daily use.

The Holy Grail Of Micellar Waters
BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O I discovered this product through a number of YouTubers (mostly French) 3 years ago. When my bf went to France, I asked him to pick up a couple of bottles for me to try as I’ve watched so many great reviews about this product. Bioderma is a French skincare brand that you can buy in French pharmacies. They have a line of moisturizers, toners, but this product is, I think, the most popular among the rest. I’ve been using this micellar water for 3 years now, and it has always been my favourite. Sure, I try other brands to remove my makeup but this is definitely my holy grail product. It’s something that I will always use over and over again. It does its job of removing my makeup, even the stubborn liquid eyeliner, and it never irritates my skin. It’s so gentle but it’s tough on dirt and makeup residue. I can’t recommend this product enough. This is definitely a must-have for me!
