My CND nail varnish collection has expanded so quickly
My CND nail varnish collection has expanded so quickly. The gorgeous red featured here is their 'wildfire' shade. This picture is giving me all feelings of departing from my legal career in search of a career in hand modelling. What say, fellow people? I think my hands have got what it takes. 👏😂

Battle of the top coats pt. 2!
Decided to paint my nails this beautiful deep green for Christmas time! The shade of the CND - Vinylux Long Wear Polish is Aura #314. The Sally Hansen - Miracle Gel Top Coat performed pretty well, I had got some recommendations to try this one as many people say it’s there holy grail top coat. The one thing I really like about this is is that I don’t find my polish peeling off my nails. They chipped slightly and when applying I found that some of the polish almost lifted a bit (left pinky finger). I was able to make this polish last 8 days! As for my day 8 nails, my right pointed finger was really the only one with a chip in it. My left hand, all of my nails had chips in them, they were very minor, but still noticeable. Overall I liked this, very comparable to the CND one that I tried in part 1. Let me know if you have any recommendations for parts to come. Happy Holidays!
Fall Nails with CND 🍁// Lasts Up to 1 Week
First of all, I’m not the best at painting my own nails so please don’t be too harsh. 😄😓 I usually get my nails done and go for a gel mani. I lived a really fast-paced life style and was always on the go pre-covid. But now I am able to work from home and slow down a bit. Also nail salons are closed so I have to paint my own nails. I don’t like to do gel nail polishes that have to be cured under the light...not to do myself at least. I tried doing it myself and my nails end up being damaged plus it’s hard to remove so I gravitate towards gel polishes that can be applied like regular polish. I really enjoy Essie’s gel couture, but that doesn’t have as many color options so I go for CND. Sally Hansen’s gel system is great too, but I’d say Essie and CND are my go-tos. This is a 2 step system. You don’t need a base coat, but I honestly prefer a base coat. I use a strengthening base and then CND’s base coat. I find it lasts longer. However, it is optional. CND - Stickey Base Coat Nail Tek - Moisturizing Strengthener 2 This one is in the shade “Hypnotic Dreams”. It is a chameleon shade so it shifts from green to purple depending on the light. This one is perfect for fall in my opinion. This one applied sheer, but buildable. I am wearing 3 coats. It was easy to apply and the brush was on the smaller side so it isn’t too messy. I used the CND top coat as well and it dries in 8 minutes. The top coat dries shiny and has a satin finish. This can be purchased at Walgreens, Target and Walmart. YN YOUNG NAILS - Acrylic Nail Powder YN YOUNG NAILS - Monomer Nail Liquid First time working with this acrylic and I’m very impressed. It went on so easily. Very easy to file afterwards. I’ve had these nails on for a week now and they are looking like I just got them done.
YN YOUNG NAILS-Acrylic Nail Powder
Hey guys! With all of the insane amount of time that I have to spend at home now, I’ve been SO in the mood to paint my nails. Like... every other day it seems. 😂🤷🏻♀️ After using the @Adesse organic nail treatment polish a couple weeks ago my nails grew SO MUCH and they became so much stronger. I’m so much more pleased than I was the first few times I used it. So now I want to enjoy them and flaunt them around with all sorts of beautiful or wacky colors. 💜💛💚💗 So, that being said, leave your favorite colors/brands/where you purchase in the comments! ✨please and thank you, lovelies!✨ Xo
Dry cuticles = the bane of our existence 🙄
Practicing a little #selfcaresaturday by focusing on nail care, but first a confession. As dedicated to skincare as we are, it’s not always the case w/ our hands. We’re both periodic nail biters & librarianship is particularly brutal. My hands are often dry from book dust & crafting, not to mention suffering countless snagged cuticles from shelving. It’s safe to say our hands hate us. Here’s a few products we enjoy 💅 🌸 Etude House Help My Finger Nail Pack: Contains shea butter, niacinamide, argan oil, & grape seed to brighten and moisturize the nail area. This is definitely an “extra” but there’s just something about tiny nail masks lol 🌸 Julip Take a Breather Oxygen Nail Treatment: This feels like a thin polish & really helps reduce nail peeling / increase strength. 🌸 Julip Your Cuticles Look Thirsty: Easy to apply & extremely nourishing, this cuticle cream really helps. 🌸 Innisfree Cuticle Oil: We refer to this as the big guns lol. When you’re cuticles are thirstier than a dude on prom night, this is the one you want.
Feelin' peachy with the Kiss My Peach duo set from nails inc! I used 'Hot Fuzz' and 'Peach Tease' to create this easy two toned manicure, along with nailinc's Nailkale Superfood Base Coat and Kensington Caviar Top Coat. 🍑
🍂Terracotta dreams 🍂 . This is my idea of a neutral nail colour. You’ll never catch me in a nude or pink. I’m always drawn to earthy shades or something bright and sparkly ✨ . Nails by Katya at buffed nail bar with smith and cult polish in Tang Bang. I love this burnt orange shade and how it pops against black or olive green.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
