Clay Hair Mask
HOW TO MAKE: 2 Tbs of Aztec clay powder and 2 Tbs of Organic Apple Cider Vinegar AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay HOW TO PUT ON: Wet hair Divide hair into sections Comb clay mixture into hair with fingers Leave on for 30 minutes HOW TO WASH OUT: Start off with cold water then transition to slightly warmer water MY THOUGHTS: My hair definitely felt clean and my curls felt soft; however, I didn’t get as much curl definition as I was hoping for. Any tips for more curl definitions? What other ingredients have you added to hair clay mixtures?
oily skin & don’t know how to manage? I got you
this post is for all the people who have oily skin and sometimes just don’t know how to deal with it! well i’m here for some tips! I have oily/combo skin and I’ve learnt some important info during my skincare journey that I would love to share with you all 🤗 1. still moisturise it is super important for people with oily skin to keep up with moisturising ! you may think that your skin is hydrated and doesn’t need any extra moisture, but it still really does. if you don’t moisturise, or use products to keep your skin hydrated, your skin can overcompensate with releasing it’s natural oils, which in hand, can make your skin more oily 2. don’t be afraid of oils whether this is oil cleansing or any certain type of oil (rosehip, squalane etc), don’t be hesitant to use these products just because of your skin type. for me, oils have made a huge difference to my skin, especially oil cleansing! one thing to remember with oil cleansing, is that oils attract oils, and therefore are oil soluble. products like this help to get rid of grease, blackheads etc and can be great for oily skin! 3. use products targeted for oily skin I know that this one is quite self explanatory, but here are some products that helped my oily skin become more manageable! - niacinamide. this ingredient is amazing for oily skin ! it helps to decrease oil production from within the skin. my fav product is NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% , but I also don’t mind The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% -exfoliation. now with this I don’t mean physical exfoliation, but chemical exfoliation! my favourite exfoliant has to be PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator this one is my HOLY GRAIL product of them all ! I have many posts on this product so be sure to check those out for an in depth description. - clay face masks. these are good for absorbing oil and giving your face a matte finish. some of my favs are PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Balancing Oil-Absorbing Mask AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay I hope this helps and if you have any questions, feel free to comment 🌟🥰
The BEST mask for acne 💫
Indian Healing Clay Mask Product Claims: “The World’s Most Powerful Facial” — Deep pore cleaning with 100% natural calcium bentonite clay. Product Target Concerns: Acne & Blemishes Texture/Consistency: Powdery when dry, like mud when wet. My thoughts on the product: I really like using this mask when I am having bad breakouts or as a spot treatment! If I leave it on for awhile I will experience some redness afterwards but I normally only use it at night anyway, so its gone by the morning. It does take some effort to mix/take off, but I think it is worth it because of the end results! Recommend to Others: yes! It is fairly priced for a big tub, and does what it claims to do. Price: $7.99 (at Target) $12.50 (on Amazon)AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay

ACNE FACE MASK | Aztec Secret Clay Mask
AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay A review for one of my all time favs! ✨ I’ve struggled with acne for around 6 years now (I know 🙄) so I’m excited to share my skincare for my fellow acne prone babes! I decided to try this Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay mask a few years ago when I saw it on Youtube. It is marketed as the “world’s most powerful face mask” (a bit dramatic lol) using 100% natural bentonite clay to draw out impurities and excess oil from the skin. It is recommended for people with oily skin and those who suffer from even severe acne. In the third photo you can see that this starts off as a dry powder. It is recommended to either mix with water or apple cider vinegar to create a paste that can be applied to the skin. After leaving on for 10 minutes (dont leave it on too long!), I wash off to reveal smooth matte skin. I remember after a few uses of this product, my acne improved! I don’t use this as often as I used to, but I still use it around once a week to keep breakouts at bay. This is my GO TO mask and I love how powerful it is. You can really feel the mask working and see the oil come to the surface. I would recommend this product only to those with oily skin and acne. This is a very intense mask so I think that dry or sensitive skin types might experience irritation with this. This definitely works to improve acne by getting rid of oil! It has brought many pimples from under my skin to a head so I would 100% recommend this for those who have stubborn acne. In addition this is cheap! $12 for this large sized tub will last you for MONTHS! Such a steal in my opinion. It might be a bit more effort since you have to mix this with a liquid but I think the effort is well worth it. If you suffer with acne definitely give this a shot! ✨

Pore Minimizing Mask
AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay This clay mask is targeted at people that want to deep cleanse and remove dirt from their skin. This is a great mask for people that want to draw out impurities from their skin and clear out pores. Don’t we all? But I’m specially looking at you you acne-prone skin people! Just like me! This is a huge jar of powder that when you mix it with water or vinegar it turns into clay and a mask. This contains bentonite clay which is such a great ingredient for drawing out all the nasties from our skin. I really enjoyed using this and now I’m steering away to other masks but it clears up everything and leaves my skin smooth. I used to use this once a week. This is so cheap too! I totally recommend this mask for everyone! It’s so cheap (I think in the US it’s 7 bucks) so in the worst case you give away the big jar or you lose 7 dollars. Doesn’t sound bad to me if this can eventually clear up your skin a bit! I mix mine with water and actually have never tried it with apple cider vinegar like most. I’m too lazy ahaha but I’ve heard it works too! For me it works great with only water. Considering the price, the amount you get and what it does + ingredients this gets a 4.5/5 (5/5)
AZTEC SECRET-Indian Healing Clay
A DIY Oil Vacuum
The Aztec Indian Healing Clay is a holy grail product I've heard a ton about for a long time. I recently started incorporating it into my routine the past couple of months. I find it's best to use this when I've been particularly oily and it's also a great spot treatment for big breakouts along with some sort of BHA product. The mask claims to be a deep pore cleaner and can help rebalance congested, oily skin. The jar holds bentonite clay powder that you then mix with your choice of either water or apple cider vinegar. I always mix equal parts powder and water because we do NOT put ACV on our face over here (it's way too acidic and I learned that from labeautyologist on Twitter/Instagram). The great thing about this is in terms of consistency and texture, since you're the one making this you get a choice in how thick it will end up being. I prefer it to be thick My experience with this product though is that there's a BIG learning curve. The 2nd time I used it, I left it on a tad too long and let it dry too much. This resulted in my chin being too dry which made my skin worse. It took a lot of hydration and healing to get it back to normal after about two weeks. It's really easy to do too much with this product but when you do it right, it's amazing.Currently, I use it as a spot treatment and I can notice the immediate difference on my nose as well. My nose gets the most oily so I'll multi mask with some clay on my forehead/nose T-zone and another more gentle/hydrating mask everywhere else. And ALWAYS follow up with a sheet mask that is hydrating. Is it worth the money? It is! I think the beauty of this is that it's very choose your own adventure, and with the amount of product you get? It's going to last you a whole year for sure. It's definitely been my go to when I need a vacuum of sorts for the oiliness on my T-zone. I wouldn't recommend for it to be used more than once a week and dry skin types should avoid it altogether honestly. If you have sensitive skin, be smart and mix it with water. And don't let it dry down too much! I give a 4 out of 5 stars.AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay

ALPHA-H CLEAR SKIN BLEMISH CONTROL MASK
ALPHA-H - Clear Skin Blemish Control Mask I loove Alpha-H products and this is my favorite mask from them. It’s. clay mask with Kaolin Clay that really helps to purify the skin and draw out excess oil and sebum. It has helped clear my skin so much and I’ve seen a huge difference. Even my friends have been asking me what I’ve changed up because my skin looks smooth and bright! It’s a gentle clay mask compared to others I’ve tried in the past because t doesn’t dry out my skin too much. I apply a thin layer over problem areas and qs soon as it’s fully dry (I like to hang around a mirror when I have this mask on) I will rinse it off and complete my skincare routine. It has improved my skin’s texture, pore congestion, and reduced my breakouts! It’s one of the masks I can’t live without!

Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Sheet Mask
Hey y’all! This is the first product I’m reviewing for Cherie :) So, this is a Detoxifying Charcoal paper/sheet mask from the brand Yes To Tomatoes. You might’ve heard about this brand elsewhere or have seen it in stores, but if you haven’t it’s a brand that uses 96% natural ingredients in there skincare products (mostly targets acne and blackheads) * This mask is marketed as a detoxifier. It helps purify the skin and works as a natural detoxifier on the face, getting rid of pores and dirt. It also helps keep acne under control. * This product is a paper mask with eye holes and a mouth hole so you can directly put it over your face. There is not a specific texture or consistency except that it feels like paper and it is a little wet. * I have been using this product 2x a week for a month now. I tried it because I like most of Yes To Tomatoes products and wanted to see how well this product would work. So far it has been helping my skin look a little lighter and closing up some pores. The two things I dislike about this product is that it burns a lot for the first 5 minutes, which is probably because it contains ginger, and that it doesn’t really show any direct results after using it for the first few times. * I would recommend this product to others who don’t have sensitive skin, but has patience. * In my opinion, I don’t think that the product is worth the money ($2.99) because the results are not very dramatic. That mask ^ is my last one and I’m thinking of stopping after using it. yesto - Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
