I am a huge skincare lover and love to try out ingredients and brands. Check out my collection and my favourite brands and products. Favourite brands: Versed: this is a brand that I have tried many products and they have worked well for me. This is a drug store brand that is mid range. It is cruelty free and eco conscience, going so far as to state the percentage of usage of recycled material and having recycling instructions on their website. My holy grails are VERSED - PHOTOS, PLEASE BRIGHTENING TIGHTENING MASK and VERSED - Doctor's Visit The ordinary: this is a great brand as it is super affordable and it’s cruelty free. The way I like to benefit from this brand is to try out ingredients to see what works for my skin, their serums are my favourite. My holy grail is The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% The Inkey lists: this brand is similar to the ordinary but I think some of their formulas are better. They focus on ingredients that allow me to find the best ingredients for my skin, they are also cruelty free. My holy grail isTHE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum Cosrx:this brand was my introduction to K-beauty and they are very accessible through Amazon ( also cruelty free). They focus on the primary ingredient that is either natural or chemical. My holy grails are COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and #Cosrx - Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule[products]#[FiveStars] Brands with 1-2 favourite products: First aid beauty: this brand focuses on healing the skin with the incorporation of oats which are amazing. My holy grail isFIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Glossier: this is a brand started by a beauty editor and are all very aesthetically pleasing and gentle on the skin (cruelty free). My holy grail is Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser Paula’s Choice: this is a great brand that is science driven (cruelty free). My holy grail isPAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 Pyunkang Yul: this is a K-beauty brand that started in a medical clinic and focus on short ingredient lists. My holy grail isPyunkang Yul - Essence Toner Pixi: this is an English brand that has lots of products and lines to target different issues (cruelty free). My holy grail is pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist The body shop: the body shop is a very established brand that has tons of products (cruelty free), I love their masks in particular. My holy grail isTHE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Face Mask Niod: this brand has the same parent company as the ordinary but it is the more expensive and technologically advanced. I love that they are pushing the bounds of skincare (cruelty free). My holy grail is NIOD - Modulating Glucosides
So I thought I would do a skin update. All the products I’ve been using have been tagged in the first photo. I’ve started this new regime a while back when my acne got really bad after I tried oil cleansing. And it’s been a long and difficult road since then and I noticed my skins needs have changed a little bit so I decided to update my routine. I have combination skin and the skin on my forehead is really dry and so is the area around my mouth but my nose and my cheeks are super oily. So I’ve decided to start usingThe Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5to help combat this as well as The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oilto further hydrate my skin. I also need a new sunscreen because I wasn’t a fan of the Neutrogena ultra sheer. The sunscreen would take a really long time to rub it in and if I got the sunscreen on my eyebrows or any of my hair it would turn white and flake, which wasn’t fun. So I’ve decided to try the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30. I’ve also started icing my face recently and I’ve noticed that it helps reduce inflammation from acne. And I’ve also noticed that my facial features have become a little bit more defined but only when I ice my face consistently. While I don’t have much acne around my cheeks anymore, i’ve noticed that I keep getting acne in my upper lip area in the same spots. Although I still don’t know exactly what’s causing this acne I did read that certain toothpaste can contain sodium lauryl sulfate, which can clog pores if you get toothpaste on your skin. So I’ve become hyper aware of toothpaste getting on my skin when I brush my teeth now but I haven’t been paying attention long enough to notice a difference yet. And because of the consistent acne around my lips I have hyper pigmentation and that area is kind of getting dark now. I’m using vitamin C and Azelic acid to treat the hyper pigmentation but I’m not seeing results as fast as I would like. Does anyone know of a way to get faster results or how to treat it more effectively?
Mix it WITH your moisturizer!
The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I stuggled with this product at first, as I couldn’t seem to get it to work. The instructions read to “Apply a few drops in the AM and PM before creams”. When I would do so, my moisturizer would pill and peel off my face throughout the day. I thought maybe it wasn’t the right product for my skin, or it simply didn’t work. My sister had the same issue, then suggested to me that I apply my moisturizer immediately after applying the acid, while it was still wet on my face, essentially mixing the two together. With this method, I’m experiencing very little pilling (just where I miss mixing around my harline occasionally), and much more hydration! So if you’re struggling with this product like we did, give this a try!

Product Review - The Ordinary Hyralonic Acid
The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 My Take - As a lover of *hydration* this is the product I didn’t know I needed. So simple. So effective. SUCH a good price. Add to any routine to give a serious hydration boost + glow. Usage- -use AM and/or PM -use after cleansing and applying toner -I use 2 drops on damp skin -I spread around face then use patting motions to really get it everywhere -I follow with other serums then a moisturizer Expect to see- - unlike someone Vitamin Cs or retinol, this product works instantly to plump and hydrate - after a few days of consistent use I notice patches of dry skin disappearing Notes- - a heads up : this product is highly viscous, a little sticky and very gloopy - some reviews I’ve read note pilling when you attempt to apply makeup after use, but I haven’t encountered this issue For anyone with any form of dryness, this product is a no-brainer add to a regime!

Empty-Vic C product for sensitive skin
Vit C and skin 🍊Ascorbyl Glucoside 12% (empty) Products containing vit C in skincare claim to improve uneven skin tone, brighten skin, improve collagen production and reduce hyper-pigmentation. So overall it acts like a good anti-aging and brightening ingredient. However to vit C to work on the cell level it needs to be stabilised properly, to improve product potency and reduce oxidation ( product not working which is nearly unavoidable with vit C or ending with orange skin tone is not a joke🍊🍊🍊( well at least for me). The Ordinary has a range of Vit C products available to cater to different skin types and user experience. The one that I have started with is Ascobyl Glucoside Solution 12% which is stabilised vit c derivative. It suitable for sensitive skin including all skin types, it’s water based so easily placed in the routine, doesn’t conflict with any other ingredients. 🍊evened skin tone a bit 🍊reduces pigmentation just a tiny bit 🍊works really slowly as it’s a derivative 🍊suitable for sensitive skin 🍊a very elegant serum with a beautiful feel I loved it but as I want something stronger the next one will be the Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% which is closer to LAA but still good for sensitive skin.

the product I really believe that has helped fix my skin up is deciem The Ordinary Marine Hyaluronics. This super lightweight formula is has been the perfect addition to my routine to bring a healthy balance of hydration to my skin. The product itself contains exopolysaccharides from skin-friendly marine bacteria, Hawaiian red algae, Glycoproteins from Antarctic marine sources, micro-filtered blue-green algae and several health-supporting amino acids, held in an ultra lightweight water sourced from marine-derived water reservoirs, all sustainably sourced. It's consistency is runny like water, you literally just have to pat in on to your face and it's absorbed within seconds. It gives me a noticeable instant plumpness, especially paired on top of the snail mucin essence. I find this especially good at locking moisture in and is super versatile.

EMPTY - Acne Friendly Hydrating Serum
Eight Saints is such an interesting brand to me—they offer a full discovery kit of almost all of their products on their website for $10 with free shipping...but then have the audacity to charge $70 for 1oz of a hydrating serum? See more below... I love a good hydrating serum, and believe me...Eight Saints Pep Rally is GOOD! EIGHT SAINTS - Pep Rally Gel Radiance Serum it has wonderful ingredients like green tea, MSM, Hyaluronic acid, and vitamin c to get a ton of your morning necessities in one serum. It targets dullness and dehydration in the skin. I was really nervous trying this out because vitamin c usually makes my skin freak OUT but was able to use this daily for 2 weeks without that happening! I used this after my cleanser and before my moisturizer in the morning. I was surprised how quickly and easily this soaked into my skin...literally it was gone in less than a minute! And it didn’t pill under my other products. HOWEVER...y’all. 1oz of this serum costs $70!!! HOW. Literally no. It’s not worth that price. If you’re into the luxury thing, go for it! But personally? I enjoy the Ordinary’s Hyaluronic acid serum way more! The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Overall I liked this serum but I have to give it 4 out of 5 stars for the price point...

The ordinary hydraulic acid 2%+B5
The ordinary hydraulic acid 2% + B5 🌟 The purpose of this product is to control oil you can put it either as a primer before make up or use it go without make up. 🌟 🗝 The product does what it is intended to do since I do have an oily skin it does control the oils all around my skin and it it doesn’t feel greasy after the use and it does not irritate my face and it does not break my face either. 🌸⚪️ The texture of this product it is a glass bottle with a dropper and I love glass bottles because it looks very nice and fancy and the actual serum is really really good it is very oily and slimy but once you put it on your face it absorbs really good and it feels dry to the face. 💬 my experience with this product was kind of weird because I wouldn’t think a serum would stop my oils from my face but I gave it a shot anyways since you know you would never know till you try it and I tried it and it was a really good product and it controlled the oil of my face, it didn’t feel greasy anymore and I felt like I could apply my make up much easier. I have used it for about a week I do use it here and there since I don’t go out much and where I work I can’t really use the serum but when I do Go out I love to put it on. 🙂🙃 do I like the product? Yes I actually do at first when I felt it I thought it was just going to make my face even much greasier because it was oily and kind of slimy but once I rubbed it in my face it absorbed in and hydrated my face where it was really really oily which means that your face is just dehydrated. I saw results as soon as I applied it so I love it. ⬅️➡️Do I recommend this product? Yes I do even if your face is not that oily it is really good to just give your face a nourishment that it needs and this is exactly what it does , it does give your skin a boost and controls it and keeps it calm. 👍🏻👎🏻 is the product worth it? Yes the product is worth it, it’s even much more valuable than what it cost it only cost me almost 7 dollars and that is not much for the things that it does to my face! The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
