Classic Glamor Wave
Let’s learn a classic wave! Start by sectioning your hair into several horizontal sections. Working from side to side, wrap all sections in the same direction. I want all my sections to wrap to the left. Wrap each section and release. Pin into place while hot. Wrap the entire head the same direction, except for the last section. My last section is wrapped away from my face for extra volume! Once cooled, use your setting spray and release section by section. Back comb the top of each curl. Once complete, comb out entire head with a wide tooth comb. This might look crazy at first but keep going! Comb until your waves are formed. That’s it! Super simple glam. X

Take me back to the 80’s!
I recently shared on my TikTok how a hair crimper can really help to hide dirty hair. I’ve been using this trick since high school; on days I didn’t want to wash my hair. This was my version of dry shampoo! I always used my mom’s tool from the 80s. She never got rid of it because she has really fine hair and uses it for volume! I decided to purchase a new crimper, one that works properly. I got the DSHOW 4 in 1 hair crimper hair waver from Amazon. I absolutely love it! It is super easy to use. The plates switch out so that you can create tighter or slightly looser crimps. Changing out the plates is easy but make sure the iron is NOT ON! They even have flat plates, which I haven’t tried because I love my current straightener. I use the 6 teeth or the 4 teeth plates most often. I will use the 6 teeth when I want extra volume! My hair is long and heavy, and I often need the volume in my hair. I will keep the top layer straight and crimp the layers underneath until I get the volume I need. I also crimp my ponytail to make it look fuller and when I do updos. The tool heats up quickly and is really easy to use!DSHOW - 4 in 1 Hair Crimper Hair Waver Hair Straightener Curling Iron

DIY curls at home ✨ #Cheriepartner
I already have curly hair but sometimes, next hair day doesn’t really help with volume, and I love a good curl volume! I usually curl the top layer that is a bit more flat and frizzy. This helps me a lot in the morning before work, doing the top layer is quicker and the results are very similar. The curling tool I’m using is TIGI - Curlipops Tourmaline Ceramic Tapered Styling Iron I love this curling iron! I love the look of it, but specially that it’s super fast to heat up! You won’t be waiting more than 2 min! I super recommend this thickness, it gives a nice and natural look! If you want bigger curls you can get a thicker size tube. The one I’m currently using is the 1’ This look is even better when you have next day hair. My next day hair is the worst! I always get unwanted frizz and doing this will define those stray hairs! You can finish the look with a bit of hairspray to last all day!

How I show off some curls
With the length of my hair I can’t generally get heatless curlers all the way up so I just curl the ends! (I tried that bathrobe tie curl method but it didn’t quite work for me) I don’t usually wear my ends out but when I curl them this is one of the styles I like. It’s called a maki bun and it’s an flipped lazy wrap bun with the tail out! A flexi clip is perfect to hold it (http://lillarose.biz/longhairdontcare)
