Which one first?
Hi everyone! My skin type is combination of normal and hormonal spots on jowl and hyperpigmentation on forehead/temples My skin goal is to achieve brighter skin (isn’t everyone’s 🤪) and to have all round supple anti-aging skin! Iv always had a good skin care routine and work within the aesthetics and dermatology industry. Love trying new products and have been using the ordinary plant derived squalane for roughly a month now, I’m wanting to add in the niacinamide after much research and recommendations. I currently use dermalogica - Special Cleansing Gel Followed by OBAGI - Clenziderm M.D. Pore Therapy but iv Iv just ran of this and waiting on the clinic to get more... this toner is heaven for my spots down my jowl, I have a Pomeranian who licks my face whenever possible so this really cleaned the bacteria up which was given me spots! I then use The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane which has helped heaps with adding moisture back into my skin as it temporarily got very dry due to environmental factors Finished off with The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Iv just bought the COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essenceand waiting for that to arrive. I’m wanting to know at what point in my routine do I add in the The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%? Do I add this after my toner before my squalane serum? Once my snail mucin arrives that will be the first product after iv cleansed and toned I’m just unsure which serum I do first or whether it even matter? Any other advice is welcomed! I love trying new products and very rarely sticks to one product, I used to use DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser cleaner which was great I just like to bounce between products so currently on my dermalogica one iv used on and off for years. ❤️
🚨Dupes Alert: La Mer vs The Ordinary🚨
Hi everyone, 🤩 Recently I purchased Lamer serum from Seoul airport, whose price is super super good!!!! I have used it for a week. I got to say. It surprisingly does the refine work!!! Initially, I just expected to use it as a regular serum, which is mainly focused on moisture. I have a combination skin type. However!!! I found my pores got minimized after using it! And my skin is softer and glows more than before. It is a massive surprise for me!! As for the moisture, it is just fine, nothing special (cu z it is hundreds of bucks) For the ordinary Squalane, I have heard it a lot before! I also purchased it from Seoul airport(my friends bought it and shipped it to me). I received it three weeks ago to share some thoughts about the difference between this and the Lamer one. The Squalane can really do a moisture job very well. Its drop feels super smooth and easily absorbed. I won’t feel my skin dry all day after I apply it every morning. Especially in winter times, moisture is almost the most crucial thing for skincare, and the ordinary Squalane can complete the mission with a not bad price. Dupe or not? I feel like, if you only need moisturizer, the ordinary Squalane is perfect, but if you want to fix other skin problems, may go for Lamer. All in all, up to your budget!😘😘

Is this truly a miracle product? (Long Review) ❤
The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Everyone is raving about the Ordinary Peeling solution on social media. And today I’m gonna review this product for you guys, so that it does not spoil your skin and you get know how to actually use this product and what to expect. So, a little about this product. The ordinary aha + bha peeling solution has both AHA ( Alpha Hydroxy Acid) and BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid). Alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) exfoliate the skin’s topmost surface for a brighter and more even appearance. Beta hydroxy acids (BHA) also exfoliate the skin with an extended function to help clear pore congestion. A little about my skin : My skin is acne prone and a bit dry. I usually get hormonal acne near my periods. I stopped using physical scrubs as they started to make my skin more dry and they are harsh for the skin too. So, let’s talk about the product. I’ve been using this peeling solution for a long time now. First things first, DO NOT use this product after vigorously scrubbing your face or using a washcloth or any kind of harsh cleanser on your face. You just need to wash your face with normal water and pat it dry. Again, DO NOT put this product on wet or damp face. It’s going to irritate your skin for sure. And also, only use it at night while doing your skincare routine. So when you put the peeling solution on to your face for the first time, you will feel a tingling sensation on your face especially when you’ve never used any acids before and that is absolutely normal. You need to apply it evenly on your skin, keeping away from eye area, and then leave it on for 10 minutes. DO NOT leave it on for more than 10 minutes as it will start to tingle more and can irritate your skin. Wash your face with lukewarm water. Results: As I have acne prone skin and get hormonal acne from time to time, the blemishes that the acne leaves really started to stress me out. With the first use itself, I started noticing a glow on my skin and with time I noticed that my acne marks are fading and the texture of my skin started to change. You just need to use this product correctly for seeing the results you expect. It really helped me to fade my acne scars and my skin really started to glow. I don’t use physical scrubs anymore. I highly recommend this product for all skin types. As I also have sensitive skin myself, I can say that I never had any problem with this product. Just start using it guys, you will thank me later. After Care You have to make sure you moisturize your skin really well after using the ordinary peeling solution. I suggest to avoid any acne treatment/cream on the same night you use it. Use sunscreen DAILY. I cannot stress this enough. Guys, this solution acts as an exfoliant. And as a result it makes your skin sensitive to the sun. You have to make sure you apply sunscreen every single day. Have a great skin day 🥰🥰 thanks for reading! Plz comment a 🔥 if you read the whole thing 😱
No more uneven texture, dark spots✅ Allure 2020
best face mask I have ever used. To have that much of a concentration in a formula is out of this world and to be honest with you practically impossible to find these days. Not only is this product incredibly cheap, it actually works. When you aren't adjusted to ahas or BHA products I would advise you to be very cautious with this at first because when you first try it on you might go oh my gosh it stinks so bad and oh my gosh it's hurting my entire face and rinse it off immediately. It's increasing your cell turnover rate all while giving you an incredible glow and baby skin after you wash it off. This contains very powerful actives, that have been proven by science to actually work it isn't some gimmick. I put this on about two to three times a week in the mornings and then I will proceed with either a lactic acid or a glycolic acid or a vitamin C serum I never use all three on the same day you have to separate them otherwise they can mess with one another. I also find this mask to be incredibly awesome because of the color it looks like I'm bathing in the blood of my enemies oh, also I noticed that my products absorb way better after I use this mask. I will use this mask and wash it right off and then immediately proceed with the rest of my routine. I have noticed my skin becoming brighter, hyperpigmentation fading. Basically everything you could ever want in a mask. Leave on for only 10 minutes sometimes I'll leave on for 15, but just take a look of how bright my skin looks! Yes, it might be itchy and irritating at first but that's just because your skin is getting used to it, if it hurts REALLY bad I would slowly start to introduce AHAS and BHAS into your rotation of products. If you aren't comfortable by all means don't buy the product and don't use it. But this has to be my favorite products from the ordinary besides their niacinamide 10% and their Buffet. Today i used my hydrating cleanser, then I went on with this mask for 15 minutes, and then I went straight away to my Ren toner Ready Steady glow daily AHA tonic then I put the alpha arbutin 2% + h a from the ordinary on top. Also Alpha arbutin helps the absorption of ahas things such as lactic acid and glycolic acid , my (toner) is made out of lactic acid and numerous other things. Then I will moisturize with my snail recovery gel by mizon, and last I will put a broad-spectrum chemical moisturizer on that is from Japan. It is the Biore Aqua Essence 50 + PA + + + + if you are using any sort of acids or actives you need to be wearing sunscreen every single day. I have no other BHA products in my skin care rotation, I believe that this gives me enough for my skin to be happy with. I don't really struggle with acne anymore because of my exhausting routine, but hey at least something works out in my life. You can do reverse damage if you neglect that. Happy skin caring! The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

My skin is super dry, do when I heard about this line that's supposed to be amazing, I wanted to see what the fuss was about. My reaction...Meh. Let's play fair, maybe my skin needs moisture, not hydration ( there is a differences), because I used it on my hands and I was very happy with the results. But on my face, meh
Inflammation, fungal acne, hormonal acne?🤷🏼♀️
I’ve been struggling with acne for years! I’ve been trying to figure out what is wrong with my skin from Internet education and it’s far from helpful sometimes. Unfortunately, I’ve never had enough to go to the derm nor do I want oral treatments for my skin. The big thing is that I have no idea what kind of acne I have but I know it’s not normal. Could someone who may be suffering with the same thing tell me what treatments to use or even what I have as far as acne type? I’d really appreciate it❤️ Skin type: -very oily -sensitive -acne prone (obviously) What I use for skin care currently: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer And twice a month: AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay

DOUBLE CLEANSE ESSENTIALS
Oil based cleanser from the ordinary The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser I rub this in between my fingers to turn the gel like consistently into an oil. Then I put it on my DRY skin that has makeup in it and then 1 minute of massaging in I rinse all the gunk. Then I take the Differn Gentle cleanser. DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Gentle Cleanser for Sensitive Skin I LOVE this product so far because it’s a Ph balancing cleanser and that really good because the Ph of my water is at an 8 and our skin should be at a 4.7-5.75. After applying this cleanser my face feel so soft and hydrated. After using this for only a couple of weeks I see a HUGE difference. DONT USE MAKEUP WIPES!! USE THIS MEHOD PLEEEEASE.
My current PM routine for dry skin 🌜✨
In the order that I use these products: 🌜 First Cleanse — The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser (not pictured) — lovely smooth texture, very gentle and no fragrance to irritate skin but doesn’t cut through makeup by itself ✨ Second Cleanse — philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser — nice and gentle, non-stripping but contains fragrance so I’ll be moving away from this cleanser once I’ve used up this bottle 🌜 Serum — The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% — goes on smoothly and dries down quickly, zinc controls oils on my nose and it’s helped by skin tone a lot ✨ Exfoliation — The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA — I use 2-3 times a week and my skin it beautifully soft and glowing the next morning. I love lactic acid exfoliators as they’re gentle on my dry and mildly sensitive skin. 🌜 Lip Exfoliation — LUSH - LUSH Honey Lip Scrub — I absolutely love this lip scrub, it’s my all time favourite. It contains honey which is moisturising and has healing properties and cooling peppermint along with caster sugar so you get a nice scrub while still being gentle. I use this 2-3 times a week especially after using matte lipsticks to keep my lips soft and hydrated. ✨ Moisturiser — YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask — I use this as my overnight moisturiser, it’s rich and creamy and packed with loads of great ingredients to which keep my skin hydrated and glowy including vitamin c, hyaluronic acid and squalane. 🌜Eye Cream — philosophy - Purity Made Simple Eye Gel — Not everybody sees eye cream as necessary but for me being over 30 and with dry skin and sensitive eye area a suitable eye cream is a must in my routine. I really like the gel texture of this product and it’s beautifully hydrating but for me once it’s gone I’ll be looking for something which will also tackle dark circles. ✨ Brow Treatment — BROW CODE - Brow Gold Nourishing Growth Oil — This is a totally unnecessary step for most but I have incredibly thin and sparse brows so for the last week I’ve incorporated this brow growth oil and I can already start to see a difference. I apply one drop per brow and brush through with a spooly brush. 🌜 Face Oil — GO-TO - Face Hero — I use this last to lock all the moisture into my skin and absolutely love it. I have a full run down on this product if you want to know more. ✨ Lip Treatment — LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask — I love this lip mask, it’s so smooth and moisturising for my lips and smells like sweet berries.

Sunday Riley vs. The Ordinary Vitamin C Serum‼️
Hey guys! I’ve recently been learning more about Vitamin C serums since I struggle with leftover acne scars and dark spots. I originally bought The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% due to already having several Ordinary products and the great price point. Below are some pros & cons that I found from this product: Pros: Great price point A little goes a long way Cons: This stuff stings! Especially when used on it’s own (I usually mix with my nightly moisturizer before applying to reduce stinging) Makes my face feel very greasy I had a sample of the SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum and decided to try this one instead of The Ordinary for a night and I ended up LOVING it. Below are pros & cons for this product: Pros: Doesn’t sting (granted this serum is less potent) Smells awesome A little goes a long way Cons: The price point is ridiculous! ($142 for 1.7oz) Overall, I really prefer the Sunday Riley CEO serum over the ordinary but I’m not sure I love it so much that I would pay almost $150 for it which is unfortunate. Like I said the only reason I began using it was due to a sample. Hopefully I can find more! Let me know your thoughts and if you know of a good dupe for this product. I would love to try!🍊
Favourite acne scarring fading products?
2 years ago I had successes with COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% to fade mild acne scarring. More recently this year I had a bad breakout (see my profile for pictures) which left me with a lot of scarring, more than I’ve ever had in my life 🥺 so now I’m looking for something a bit stronger. I have tried PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist C15 Super Booster before my breakout, but I believe this was one of the causes of my breakouts so I’m hesitant to try this again, at least until my skin barrier is fuller recovered. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% works well with my skin but I feel results are slow. Maybe I’m impatient 😅 I have not tried Melano CC Intensive Anti-Spot Treatment Essence, DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serumor SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil yet due to the nature and stability of vitamin C, I’d like to try 1 product at a time. Have you tried these products? Let me know what results you’ve gotten with these products! Or feel free to share any products not listed here that worked for your skin!
My Skincare Routine
I’ll go into detail about each one in separate posts, but this is everything I use as a collective. The only thing that isn’t pictured are my cleansers, I use Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser for the days I exfoliating or need something more gentle. I love how light the scent is, and how easy it is on my skin, but if you need something more acne fighting, I would suggest something stronger since this product is all about cleaning. I’m still learning what type of cleanser is for what type of skin, but it’s a gel consistency and has a nice smooth and thick texture, so I believe it’d be great for oily/combo skin types. I also use a turmeric brightening cleanser but can’t remember the name and I’m away from home. 😊
The Ordinary-AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
I will let you know if the hype is a lie. 🌋
My beautiful face has new visitors. This time hard ones, and they come in groups! Three big volcanoes are trying to explode around my face and I tried the ordinary to make them fail! -Thank you in advance for reading me!- Today I did a simple routine. • Some micellar face wash for hydration and since I don’t use make up this just helps me clean the sunscreen and the morning products from my face. • After that I went ahead with the The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution. I have to say that I almost fail to wait 5 simple minutes (yes, I preferred to do it 5 minutes), it was like itching or like tingling my face. But HEY! I can’t denied that my face was less red, and could see the product trying to even out the color of these volcanoes. 😯 As you can see in the pics that I added. • Then, I went ahead and added some hydration with the The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5this made me feel relieved after the weird sensation with the peeling acid. 😩 I felt my face drinking and drinking this product up. She really appreciate it. • I added my common moisturizer CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is the first cerave product that I tried and I fell in love with it. My skin had a BIG POSITIVE reaction to it. She fell in love with it. Looks like a very simple moisturizer, nothing like “wow!” But hey! Don’t judge a book by his cover. • And FINALLYYYY, IT CANT BE LEFTTT OUT. I settled everything up (yes, I call this my “I’m finish” product), with some fresh air GARNIER - SkinActive Balancing Facial Mist with Green Tea I use the aloe Vera one, and it’s incredible good the feeling of your face relaxing in the couch after so many acids. 🥵 I honestly have some hope for the ordinary products. I have seen many people saying it works, and that is a NEED. Well, I can’t simply be the exception, please Pray. 😩🤣 Okay, I will report back to you guys tmw. Thank you for reading me. 🥰

My skin care routine for acne prone / oily skin
MORNING ROUTINE ☀️ PCA skin - BPO 5% Cleanser The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin NIGHT ROUTINE 🌙 PCA skin - BPO 5% Cleanser The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane BURT’S BEES - Lip Balm with Vitamin E & Peppermint WEEKLY MASK The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque I have been using PCA skin - BPO 5% Cleanser for over a year and have been absolutely loving it for keeping my skin clear. I recently added The Ordinary’s products into my routine as well as a daily spf and my skin has truly never looked better. If you suffer from acne, dark spots and dull skin- I highly suggest this routine ❤️ ** Also, when using Vitamin C (such as The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% ) I chose to moisturize with the Squalane because any water in products will neutralize the Vitamin C and stop it from working on your skin, so always make sure to use a moisturizer/ oil / serum with no form of water on the ingredient list while using a vitamin C product! :)

Not so Ordinary Skincare
I’ve been seeing this CeraVe / the Ordinary skincare system everywhere! So naturally I researched & watched some YouTube videos (Hyram’s skincare videos). I love the cleanser and the lotion! I have only used the ordinary products a couple of times so I will keep updated! CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin has a unique formula with three essential ceramides that cleanses and removes oil without disrupting the protective skin barrier. Gentle foaming action refreshes and cleanses skin, as well as removes excess oils. Key Ingredients: Ceramides 1,3 and 6-II - help restore protective skin barrier Hyaluronic Acid - attracts moisture Niacinamide - helps calm skin CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion has an ultra-lightweight and unique formula that moisturizes throughout the night. Rate My New Skin Care Routine!
So I wanted to get a little more simple with my skin care. This routine has products I have used for a while, along with new products I am just starting to use. I have combination, more toward oily, skin that is super sensitive and acne prone. ☀️AM☀️ 1. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin - I’ve been using this for quite some time now and I love it. Can’t seem to ever part with it. 2. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Brightening Eye Cream – Hydrate & Depuff- Just adding this to my routine. Wanted to try it because it reduces puffiness and dark circles around the eye. 3. The Ordinary - Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%- Also just adding this to my routine, but wanted to try because it’s a Vitamin C derivative that has smoothing and brightening benefits. 4. OLAY - Complete UV365 Daily Moisturizer SPF 30- FINALLY incorporating an SPF into my regimen for daily use. I chose this because it has SPF 30 and is specifically formulated for sensitive skin, since normally my skin does not respond too well to any type of SPF. 🌙PM🌙 1. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin 2. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution- Just incorporated this into my routine because I heard it was good for acne prone skin because it gently exfoliates to produce clearer, less textures skin while protecting from aging. 3. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Brightening Eye Cream – Hydrate & Depuff 4.Curology - Curology formula - I’ve been using a Curology for a little over a year now and I have to say that this will be in my routine for a long time. I love it and this is the second formula I’m on. It has cleared up my acne so much and really is non existent except one or two small blemishes around that time of the month. 5. The Ordinary - ''Buffet''- this was probably one of my most anticipated products from The Ordinary. Wanted to try this because it targets visible signs of aging. 6. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%Thought this would be great to incorporate because of my skin type and I heard great reviews about it! 7. Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer I’ve been using this moisturizer for a couple months and I really really like it. It’s so refreshing and doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the heavy scent. 🗓Throughout the week🗓 1. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution- this was the other most anticipated product I wanted to try from The Ordinary! It seems to be right for my skin type and can’t wait to try it. 2. clarisonic - MIA 2 FACIAL CLEANSING BRUSH - has this for years! I love it and use it once a week on OPPOSITE days of the AHA BHA peeling solution. Please rate my new routine and give suggestions/comments if you have any!
Quarantine clean up
So I have started this quarantine facial cleanse! Honestly I was a bit scared due to the fact that I have sensitive skin and really didn’t want to try nothing new. So I started using URBAN SKIN Rx - Even Tone Cleansing Bar And this product really does what it says it does pixi - Glow Tonic really love this toner I use it both in the morning and also in the night leave the face feeling fresh and soft after cleanse skin! Neutrogena - Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish so far this polish has been working pretty well leaves the skin smooth after washing! The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution with somebody who has sensitive skin I really thought that it would irritate my skin or break out but this peel is really the best thing ever for a peeling solution!! But you need to follow instructions and you should be just fine! Over all these were my starting products to my clean up and I have added more to my list and will definitely keep y’all posted with the new products that I got! ❤️❤️❤️
