Allies Of Skin....Seriously 🤩
Allies of Skin - 1A™ Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask* | 50 mL - $109 This overnight mask is pH balanced and packed with time-release Retinaldehyde, 13.5% Peptide Complex, 9 Antioxidants, & 5 Brighteners that work to hydrate and brighten stressed skin while repairing any signs of aging skin. Other benefits include combating blemishes, smoothing wrinkles, reversing sun damage, boosting your skin’s immunity, accelerating skin cell renewal, boosting the skin’s natural reparative process, and strengthening its defenses against environmental aggressors. What's more amazing is that this is clinically proven to repair acne lesions by 67.2% in 28 days. My experience: So far, I've fallen in love with using this as my last step in my PM routine. It's silky smooth and extremely hydrating. I haven't used it long enough to write a review or to see significant results, but I have high hopes for this current 5-star product. The packaging is perfect with the pump which dispenses just the right about of product. I haven't noticed any stinging, burning, dryness, redness, or itching due to the retinal, which is a plus. This might be different for someone with sensitive skin. I'm able to use this every night but using it less often may be best if you're someone who reacts to products with retinal or retinol. DO NOT USE IF PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING. Allies of Skin - 1A Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask

Is Luxury Retinal Worth It? 🤔
I have sensitive combination skin and I’m also acne-prone and deal with hormonal acne. This means that retinol is very important to my routine to increase cell turnover and help with breakouts. ✨This prodict is the 1A Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask by Allies of Skin. It consists of a peptide complex, 9 antioxidants, 5 brighteners and retinaldehyde. I purchased this from the AoS website after seeing it all over the skincare Instagram community. ✨This product is luxury and super expensive at $109 for 1.7 oz. However, with all the rave reviews of this brand I figured I’d start with this item which I will shell out for so here we are. ✨The product says to use their probiotic mist before use for best results so I sometimes use one from a different brand that I love and put it on as my main product for the night besides cleansing beforehand then adding eye cream and lip balm. ✨It smells amazing. It’s refreshing in a light citrus kind of way. The texture itself is silky and light and the product is a light yellow color. 🌻I like this a lot but I’m not sure I’d buy it again because of the price point. I feel like it works in terms of helping with breakouts and I’m definitely curious to try the new formula without essential oils but this is highly expensive and I’ll probably try the Crystal Retinal by MediK8 next which has been on my list. If a product is this expensive, it has to be a miracle worker for me to buy it again at this rate. I will however be trying their Vitamin C and moisturizer at some point. I think if a product is amazing and the most effective, it is worth the splurge but I’m not sure this is the holy grail retinal for me. Products & Tips for Maskne 😷
I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone so wearing a mask constantly at work is not helpful for my skin progress. I’ve been recommending a few products to friends and family and figured I’d share what has been working for me! Morning Mask Routine 😷 1. Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave 2. Flawless Serum by SkinKissed (Vitamin C and HA) 3. Great Barrier Relief by Krave (just in mask area) 4. Daily Greens by Farmacy 5. The Beet Shield by Krave (everywhere!) Night Mask Routine 🌝 1. Very Cherry Clean Balm by Farmacy 2. Matcha Hemp Cleanser by Krave 3. Great Barrier Relief by Krave 4. Retinal Moisturizer by Allies of Skin 5. Facial Oil (sometimes & it varies) Heavy Hitters ⚾️ 1. Great Barrier Relief Serum by Krave This serum is incredible. It mimics your natural skin barrier so it is perfect for a damaged moisture barrier as well as providing a barrier between your skin and your mask. The Niacinamide in this is also very useful for breakouts! 2. Allies of Skin Retinal /Moisturizer (Vitamin A) You do not need to buy a super expensive retinal product to have an effective retinal. This was a special purchase for myself and I love it but cheaper options exist! Retinal/ Retinol products can be tricky if it’s your first time but they are essentially acne treatment products because they increase your skin cell turnover. I find they increase healing time and prevent breakouts in the first place and I LOVE them for breakouts and breaking a cycle of acne. Retinol Tips: ✨Use at night as main active ingredient (general rule of thumb is to avoid mixing with Vitamin C) ✨Start with small amounts 1-2 times a week and work your way to more consistent use ✨Your skin may “purge” for a few weeks while starting out. That’s normal and it will go away if it is from purging. This can mean breakouts. I also had some peeling when I first started. ✨Pair with a heavier moisturizer to combat any dryness 3. Very Cherry Clean by Farmacy It doesn’t have to be this exact cleansing balm but always double cleanse your skin after lots of mask wearing! This can be any oil-based cleanser. I personally love taking my time, throwing on some music and gently rubbing this on my face for like 10-15 minutes. Why? Because not only do I properly pull off any oil, dirt, makeup and SPF, but it also removes blackheads. So gross but honestly you can see it working if you do it long enough! Blackheads are oil so it makes sense that an oil would be great to clean them out. General Maskne Tips: 💦 Wash your masks between each use 💦 Double cleanse your face as soon as you get home 💦Using a clay mask or sulfur mask once or twice a week will help remove impurities from the skin 💦 Let your skin breathe when you can- I avoid foundation/ CC cream whenever possible and I think it helps me personally. 💦 If you’re really struggling, I’d recommend using the Healing Ointment as a day moisturizer. Talk about a barrier between your skin and your mask! What are your maskne tips??
PaulasChoice Radiance Renewal Mask! Despite using this more or less on the daily for 2 years, I still haven’t reviewed this staple! 💸 Cost: £35/$36 for 50ml/1.fl.oz but Paula’s Choice regularly have 15-20% discounts. 🔍 What it does/Formula: an overnight ‘sleeping mask’ (or can be used as a moisturiser, as I do) featuring brightening agents (Niacinamide, Arbutin, Bearberry Extract and MAP - a stable form of Vitamin C) to target skin tone/pigmentation. The mask comprises of film formers + dimethicone to form a barrier and reduce TEWL and so an excellent option for combo-oily skins. It’s a light gel-cream but does form a decent barrier - not cloying nor is it too rich. It’s very similar to the PC brightening essence in regards to the brightening agents, but in a different format, if you prefer creamier textures. I use both + usually alternate AM/PM. 🔍 How I use it: As a moisturiser, sometimes in the AM + others in PM, as the last step in my routine. In the PM, I’ll mix it with 1-2 drops of a facial oil to negate the slight tackiness. 🔍 Results: I first introduced this 2 years ago when I initially started using Differin, as my usual moisturiser wasn’t nourishing enough to negate the side effects. As with most moisturisers, I was anticipating breakouts but I’ve had great success with this. I saw quite a significant difference when I first introduced this! Partly, (I presume) because redness + dehydration were reduced with the effects of Niacinamide, which I previously didn’t have in my routine, but also because my skin was finally being adequately moisturised (which would happen with any sufficient moisturiser). However, I did continue to see significant improvements beyond the instant gratification, particularly with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne fading at a much quicker rate. Since then, this simply never fails me. I can use it in every season, day or night. It doesn’t exacerbate oil production, plays well with most products (I find makeup can pill though) + it’s my go-to whenever my skin is throwing a tantrum. I’ve been through probably 8-10 bottles in the past two years, which is a testament to how much I love it.

K-beauty Feature: Cosrx Rice Mask
COSRX - Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask Product Function: The Cosrx Nourishing Rice Mask is meant to be used as a sleeping pack after moisturizer. It is marketed as a product that helps hydrate and brighten the skin. Product Target Concerns: dry, flaky, irritated skin, or for normal skin types who are looking for something heavier to layer during the winter. Texture/Consistency: a thick gel that mostly sits on top of the skin as an occlusive layer. Overall Thoughts & Opinions: I like this, but not for my skin type. I don’t think I would have purchased it myself, but I was sent it from Stylevana for review. The product itself boasts a pretty impressive ingredients list that would make this a great occlusive for anyone who needs an extra boost of hydration. One of the things I love about it is that it doesn’t disturb the layers of product underneath and helps seal everything in. However, for my oily skin, this isn’t very necessary. If I use this more than 2 nights in a row, I’ll tend to break out in closed comedones or acne, which is why I wouldn’t recommend this for oily skin. For dry skin, this will be your new best friend. Would I recommend? Yes, if you have dry to normal skin that craves an extra boost of hydration after your regular moisturizer. At $18 for 60ml, this is fairly priced and definitely worth checking out if dryness is a top concern for you.

End of Weekend Routine!!
Sunday Night... had makeup on all weekend, sweated a lot, and drank some alcohol so my skin needed a revival. I love the Overtime mask by Summer Friday’s! The smell of the pumpkin and the apricot speed flower helps polish away dead skin. It’s purpose is to reduce dullness, uneven texture, pores, and wrinkles/fine lines. My ONLY qualm is I have extremely sensitive dry skin and eczema flare ups; I only use it once a week to give my skin a fresh revival without drying up! Definitely apart of my weekend routine! And the feeling after?!? *chefs kiss* SUMMER FRIDAYS - Overtime Mask it is for all skin types, but it’s important to understand how your skin would work with this mask I do use other Summer Friday products that I personally give 5 stars!!!!
SUMMER FRIDAYS-Overtime Mask
SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask So I originally purchased this product due to its huge rage.. I must say... the rage is real and it is a phenomenal product. I have super dry skin and this mask definitely helped with my dryness and added moisture and hydration. It is important to mention that I do not use this product as a mask. Rather, I apply it as a moisturizer during the nighttime and leave it on for the night. As my skin absorbs the moisture the best during the PM, my skin feels rich and glowy in the morning. ———————————— Results The summer Friday’s mask has somewhat of a thick consistency that feels great during the winter. I love love love this product for the winter as my skin feels dry as ever during the winter and the moisture is much needed. In addition, the product also has a bit of fragrance to it. This usually irritates my skin, however the fragrance is so minimal that it did not negatively affect my skin at all (but it is something to consider before purchasing). ———————————— Recommend 90% As a result, I would recommend this product to everyone for the winter season. It brings lots of moisture and hydration. I would not recommend this product to people with oily skin as it is very thick. Also, I think its best use is as a moisturizer rather than a mask because I feel like it’s more effective that way. The only downfall to this product I must mention would be the price point. I would say it remains on the pricey end of the scale due to how much product you actually get in one tube.

Battle of Face Masks, Guess Who Wins!😆
I have combination-oily skin, where my forehead and T-zone tend to get very oily. I also have sensitive skin. I recently bought two face masks, and let's see which one is better. ① HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Mask It has a blue, gel texture, and it doesn't smell particularly nice but you only need to use a minimal amount to apply just a thin layer. You can wash it off after leaving it standing for 20 minutes. It feels cool on the skin and irritates very slightly when applied but I still consider it mild. It has a gel texture which doesn't leave the skin feeling dry even after 20 minutes. It's better to use a towel when washing it off for super smooth skin. Keep your skin moisturized and see your skin visibly improved the next day. It's really soothing for the skin. I think it's really worth its price as a bottle could last me for quite a long while. ② Chantecaille Fruit and Flower Acids Mask It has a thick texture and I like its gardenia scent. I use this mask about 1 to 2 times a week after removing my makeup. I'll wash it off after around 7 to 8 minutes as it irritates a little if I leave it on for too long. It scrubs off dead skin cells and removes blackheads well, leaving my skin smooth after using it. It's very suitable for summer. The two products require about the same usage but Chantecaille is easier to wash off when compared with Herbivore. Chantecaille has a more pleasant scent and it doesn't need to be applied that long. How do you like these two products? 😍😍

Sheet Mask for Redness!
Innisfree - My Real Squeeze Sheet Mask (Rice) Product Function: This sheet mask is supposed to help for a clearer and more translucent-looking complexion. It is a creamy sheet mask made from eucalyptus fibers that is soaked in nourishing ingredients from rice for clearer, more translucent-looking skin. Product target Concerns: This is good for all skin types, but would be good for people with irritated skin, dry skin, or dealing with redness. Rice water contains ingredients such as ferulic acid, an antioxidant that is known for being inflammatory. The cooling sensation from using rice water helps to contract red blood vessels and pores, which ultimately reduce redness, clear acne, and soothe irritated skin. Texture/Consistency: This has a creamy and milky consistency and that mask is made of eucalyptus fibers. Overall Opinion: I really enjoyed the sheet mask, especially since the cut-out and shape of the mask fit my face more compared to other Korean sheet masks where the eye, nose, and mouth hole is too small or narrow. I put this on after using a blackhead peel and it really helped to calm down my skin and when I took it off, my skin was noticibly less red. My skin also felt really cool and hydrated. Would I Recommend?: I would recommend using the sheet masks from Innisfree because they are 100% biodegradable and made out of recycled eucalyptus fibers. It costs $1.80 per mask, so if you are looking for a quick and easy way to hydrate, calm, brighten, etc. your skin, then this would be a good option. Rating: innisfree - My real squeeze mask
