Byroe New York Rice Cleansing Sorbet
I was recently gifted the Rice Cleansing Sorbet from Byroe New York and I’ve loved using it in my routine so far. Function: A cleansing balm that dissolves eye and face makeup, including sunscreen, while moisturizing Target Concerns: Removing makeup and sunscreen effectively Texture: A very soft, fluffy balm. Upon contact with water, consistency becomes a light milky emulsion Overall Experience: I’ve been wanting to incorporate cleansing balms into my night routine along with a regular cleanser. When Byroe reached out to me, I was so happy to finally try this product. I’ve been using this for about a month every night and I love how easy it is to run into the skin to dissolve makeup. A little bit truly gets the job done and my skin feels silky smooth afterwards. I feel that this is super hydrating, as it claims, which is why I love it. It retails for $72 for 3.04 fl oz. The packaging is very luxurious as well. This is pretty expensive for a cleansing balm but is worth the splurge if you’re finding other balms to be ineffective. I would recommend it for those who aren’t swayed by a price because it works very well compared to other balms I’ve tried! BYROE - RICE CLEANSING SORBET
Dec. 7, 2019
byroe kindly gifted me these two products that i am so obsessed with.😍 their products are formulated with concentrations of high-quality, healthy, food-based ingredients. the philosophy behind this brand is that we should treat our skin with the same quality nutrition that we give our bodies. i couldn’t agree more! each product is designed to provide us with a variety of high-quality nutrients for our skin. each of them contains a select blend of highly-concentrated, food-based ingredients.🥗 ⠀ ⠀ 🍚 i have been double cleansing lately, with the rice cleansing sorbet. the smell of this product, i can’t even explain how delicious it is, but it makes me want to eat it! 🙃 the texture of this solid balm is so nice & so satisfying to apply, it glides so softly on the skin & it transforms into light milky emulsion upon contact with water. it does not leave any oily residue at all, which i like. it’s very effective in removing all makeup & dirt.⠀ ⠀ 🎣the salmon cream is a light weight moisturizer that is packed wonderful ingredients: salmon egg extract (which nourishes the skin & fights signs of aging), adenosine (anti-aging ingredient that helps to smooth & firm skin for a healthy, youthful glow), niacinamide (targets acne, minimizes the appearance of large pores & smooths fine lines & wrinkles), & lastly peptides (promotes collagen production & reduces the appearance of aging for smoother, firmer skin). btw this does not smell like fish at all.😛⠀ ⠀ i am so thankful i have been able to try this brand, i am really look forward to trying out more products. they are so lovely, & i highly recommend this duo!❣️⠀
This or That? Banila Co. vs. ByRoe
BANILA CO - Clean It Zero 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm BYROE - RICE CLEANSING SORBET As a girl with combination skin that leans more towards the oily side, I was skeptical about trying oil or balm cleansers. However, once I tried them, I was absolutely hooked on the way they easily removed my makeup and left my skin soft. I have tried quite a few of them at this point, but today I wanted to compare these two. BANILA CO. ($19, 100 ml) A thicker cleansing balm that takes a bit to melt down (almost like coconut oil at room temperature). This one definitely emulsifies with water, but it feels a bit heavy and leaves a noticeable film afterwards (though I always do a double cleanse, so this is not a deal-breaker for me). BYROE ($72, 3.04 oz.) A more creamy balm that melts down quickly, this one is thinner and I believe it would suit any skin type. No noticeable film afterwards, just soft, supple skin – but a second cleanse is a must for me. THE VERDICT Although the Banila Co. balm does what it claims to do, I am not in love with it. It is almost too functional. However, the Byroe one not only does what it is meant to do, but is a joy to use. They both give you the “foggy eyes” that are typical with balm cleansers (not something I enjoy, but it is the nature of the product), but it dissipates much more quickly with the ByRoe. The big difference here is the price point. ByRoe is considerably more expensive than the Banila Co., but I think in this case, the price difference is justified. ByRoe is the winner of the This or That challenge!
Gentle Luxurious Face Cleanser
Product claims: A gentle gel cleanser to remove makeup and debris while retaining moisture. Product target concerns: calms inflammation and irritation, locks in hydration without leaving residue. My experience: This cleanser has been one of my best skincare finds! It’s so gentle and the texture is so luxurious. It cleans the skin well without stripping it of moisture and I also love that it has no fragrance because fragrance irritates the hell out of my skin. It’s the perfect cleanser when you’re in need of double cleansing because it will help you remove the residue while keeping your skin hydrated. Do I recommend this to others? Yes absolutely. I think it will be a great cleanser for all skin types since it’s so gentle. Price: $38 for 5 oz.

Lot of product and melts in hot weather
They are so adorable and ideal for travel. There is a lot of product to cover entire face and neck. I tried couple of these already and I love how the oil was able to break down waterproof mascara and full coverage foundation very easily. It is so light weight and my combination skin felt soft and not at all stripped. Those pods are biodegradable, which is so good. You get 50 capsules for $75, which is little bit pricey for the amount of uses you can get. Also I noticed that these biodegradable capsules melt away when in hot climate. I travelled to India with these in a ziplock bag and some them became so soft and started leaking, which caused waste of product. EVE LOM - Cleansing Oil Capsules

Farmacy Very Cherry Green Clean
FARMACY - Very Cherry Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm I love using cleansing balms to remove both makeup and sunscreen. Since I have dry skin, I love using products that won’t strip my skin or that are harsh. I really enjoy how gentle and effective this cleansing balm is. It takes everything from mascara to liquid lipsticks off in a breeze. If you have dry skin or are looking for something to take the day off without being stripping, I highly recommend this cleanser!

GlamGlow Face Cleanser
I received this face cleanser in a Boxycharm box; I was so excited to receive a product from the GlamGlow brand. And for the most part, this product lived up to my expectations and the hype behind the brand. This silky, pearl white cleanser lathers into a creamy, hydrating foam. The texture of this cleanser is extremely creamy. Little product is needed; I could use a nickel size amount to lather my face completely and ensure that all makeup and dirt is removed. This cleanser is effective when it comes to removing makeup, BUT because I’m a skincare freak - I would never just use this as a makeup remover cleanser; I always double cleanse with a balm or oil first. That being said, because of how hydrating and creamy this cleanser is, this would be a great gentle cleanser to use following a balm or oil in a double cleanse. This is not a completely clean product, but it is free of parabens, phthalates, SLS & SLES. It is formulated with great ingredients like green tea leaf extract, vitamin E, oat amino acids, and apple extract. This daily face cleanser retails for $28; it can be found at either Sephora or directly on the brand’s website. I think $28 is a fair price point for a high end face cleanser. And like I said before, little product is needed, so the 5oz of product in the bottle will last you!
Simple Moisturizing Face Wash
This face wash is meant to gently cleanse skin while also instantly hydrating it. I have been using it for about a month and I love it! It reminds me of my Glossier Milky Jelly cleanser, but it is a much more affordable option. It doesn’t dry out my skin but also feels like it cleanses all dirt and impurities. It has a thicker consistency than most facial washes, but that makes it feel more luxurious. You can buy this at any major grocery store or beauty retailer. It is only $5 so I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a gentle, moisturizing face wash!Simple - Moisturizing Facial Wash Pouch
