When talking about affordable options for skincare. I think it good to include all budgets. mizon AHA 8% Peeling serum. This is quite a good serum at slightly lower levels of aha than some of the more popular western brands but I still think it works nicely. I use this sometimes when my skin can’t handle the higher amount of acids. hadalabotokyo Moisterising whip foam. I always have a bottle of this around, it’s gentle, cheap, ph balanced and is sold in all the supermarkets in Asia. klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drops and Midnight Blue Calming Cream. The vitamin drops is quite a nice gentle vitamin c serum, containing 5% asorbic acid. Not strong enough for me but a serum that’s pack with quite a few goodies like peptides and Centella. The cream is great for irritated skin and sunburn, containing guaiazulene. cosrx is a popular brand, quite simple ingredients and a good price point, I’m still trialing their stuff, i haven’t had a The next start with their stuff but the BHA power liquid is great, I use it on more congested areas. The face wash is cheap and ph balanced. A little to dry for my skin but some would like it. heimish All Clean Balm. Does a good job of removing make up and sunscreen. I use as a first cleanse. It doesn’t have the best smell but the tub will last you a while. So this is just a little run down of some budget-midpoint options.

Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 1
Hey y’all! In today’s post I’ll be reviewing my followers skincare routines! I went through some of y’all’s accounts in search of some routines, then messaged everyone to make sure they were okay with me using their routines in this post! This is only pt. 1 because this post got wayyy to long to include everyone at once! Let me start by saying I’m not an esthetician or dermatologist, nor have I ever claimed to be. I am just a fellow skincare lover who knows a lot about ingredients in skincare. We’re starting off with @Chloe_McRae. Sometimes she decides to double cleanse, and when she does she starts with the#Holifrog - Kissimmee Vitamin F Therapy Balmy Wash[products]#[FourStars] which is $42 for 2.5 fl oz. This has a ton of great hydrating oils, as well as Vitamin F, which is great for helping cell turnover. I would say it’s a great first cleanse for those with dry skin. Next she uses theDRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample which is $32. I would say this is a good cleanser. The cleansing agents are gentle and non stripping, and it also has glycerin which is hydrating, and cantaloupe fruit extract which is a hydrating extract full of antioxidants. Other than that, this is a pretty basic cleanser. Next she uses the HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial l which is $58. Because the name is confusing, it’s a gel face mask. This stuff looks gorgeous and the ingredients are too. Along with AHA and BHA, it has aloe and rose water which help your skin to retain moisture. I don’t think it’s worth $58, but it’s pretty good. Next is the PEACH & LILY - Wild Dew Treatment Essence which is $39 for 3.38 fl oz. This essence has glycerin, Nicinamide, and Hylaronic acid. For $39 I expected a lot more. In general, essence is less effective than a serum, so this seems a little expensive for what you get. Then comes theDRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Biome Fermented Sake Hydrating Spray which is $42. Yes, $42 for a face mist. Now looking at the ingredients this has glycerin and a small amount of Hylaronic acid. The rest of the ingredients are extracts. Thankfully there isn’t fragrance, but this is a no because it’s so expensive. And finally is the COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid which is $24. Really this has some Willow water and Nicinamide and that’s it. Okay I freaked out at this point. Nowhere in this routine is sunscreen or moisturizer!!! Nooooo!! We need less acids and more of the basics. Overall I’d say this routine has too many steps. I think you could simplify down to a double cleanse, a cheap but good serum with Hylaronic acid and Nicinamide which seem to be the ingredients that work well for your skin, and the a moisturizer and some spf. Our next routine comes from @WillWorkforMascara. She starts her routine with theCeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin w is $17. This product is great for oily skin, which she has. It has glycerin, nicinamide, and Hylaronic acid so it’s super hydrating. Next she usesThe Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution witch is $8.70. Along with glycolic acid, it has aloe vera water and glycerin. Some people think it’s overly stripping, but for oily skin its great. Now this is where this routine becomes international. She goes in with theMUJI - Boosting Essence Lotion which is $7 for 50 ml. This essence has aloe vera juice and glycerin. It does have quite a bit of fragrance though which makes it a no from me. Next she goes in with the#Pearlessence - Argan Oil + Vitamin E facial oil[products]#[ThreeStars] which is $11.89 for 1.83 fl oz. This product has two ingredients. Vitamin E and Argan oil. Now this is where we really go international. #Human Nature - Sunflower Eye Cream[products]#[TwoStars] and found out that 295 Cuban Peso is $12.29. Now as for the ingredients this eye cream has sunflower oil and glycerin. And fragrance. Fragrance can especially be irritating around the eye area so this is another no. Instead try some thing likeTHE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream She also uses a eyebrow and eyelash oil called Peach Thy Lash which is 150 Cuban Peso or $6.25. I don’t know anything about this kind of product so I can’t really say if it works. And finally is theLANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask which is $22. This mask has Vitamin C, Hylaronic acid, and glycerin. It seems good to me, but this sort of product is more about the experience, and I haven’t tried it. Again! We need moisturizer and sunscreen! This one also has too many steps so let’s simplify it to cleanser, toner, moisturizer, sunscreen, eyelash oil, and lip mask. Unfortunately this post would be super long if I included everyone, so look out for pt. 2 coming soon! Please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment below your holy grail skincare products, and follow me to join the family and for similar content! -Mae

A struggling month
Since my progress post I’d figure I’d show that even those who have promoted they’ve healed their acne that it may and can be just for a moment, a month or a year and things can change in your life that could eventually alter your skin yet again. During the summer my skin was doing real good except the occasional monthly pimples from my period. However these past 2 months I’ve been breaking out along my jawline, chin, mouth and a little on the cheeks. It’s been pretty frustrating because I felt like I was me again and then boom I’m back to feeling insecure. I am currently testing new products to see a difference and changing/adding supplements and vitamins to help and will hope to update in a few months ! All I can say is that I am unemotional about this round of acne... and I think it helps to have a great support system to keep you positive because at the end of the day we are all beautiful no matter what may appear on our faces 😊 New products: COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid Helping with my pores and bringing my acne to surface Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol Soothing my inflammatory acne YEOUTH - Retinol Serum with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera Really excited to finally add a retinol and this one is great- not $$$ and absorbs nicely (won’t see full effects until another 2-3 weeks) Apart from that my routine has stayed the same and the rest of my face is pretty clear!

Overhyped products; didn’t see a difference
I’ve used these products consistently over the period of a couple months (not necessarily in combination with each other). I haven’t noticed a difference and realize I don’t particularly love the feel of serums and oils. Here’s my review of each product individually and one ordinary product that I do feel like makes a difference. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I was super excited to try and love this product and was mainly wanting help with blackheads on my nose. I haven’t noticed a difference even when using the product twice a day for a couple months. The product is very oily and it’s easy to get all over the bottle. Not a toner that can be used without a cotton pad The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I don’t love the textures of these products and am disappointed not seeing a difference after using consistently and over half the bottle is gone. dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop This product is very oily. I want to include vitamin C in my skincare routine but just didn’t enjoy this particular one. e.l.f. - Happy Hydration Cream I love all of elf’s products and bought this thinking I would love it. It leaves a white cast and I don’t like the feel when I put this moisturizer on, because of this I have been using it just at night I order to not waste the product. Elf has much better products than this one for sure! One product I do like: The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I’ve started using this once a week and believe it is helping with my blackheads. It is drying and I have sensitive skin so if you’re like me I would suggest only once a week for 8 min and consider a hydrating mask afterwards.

Best cleanser for acne prone skin
For #fridayfavorites I want to highlight a #cultfavorite COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser After hearing so many good things about this cleanser I had to try it. I ordered it from Stylevana and was happy that the order arrived in a week! For 11 CAD I think it’s value for money considering how good this cleanser is. It’s very gentle on my skin and I tend to use this cleanser more often than others. It has a gel like consistency and is not too foamy and a little goes a long way. It washes away impurities without stripping my skin. It has a low PH which is said to be effective in protecting our skin’s acid mantle. #acidmantle protects the skin from harmful bacteria that can cause acne and other skin problems. Low ph cleansers are also good for people with eczema and dryness. FUN FACT: did you know this product was crowd sourced!! Customers gave feedback to @cosrx asking for a low ph cleanser and they delivered! Isn’t that awesome! #fridayfavorites #funfactfridays #cosrxcleanser #cosrxph #fanfav #kleanbsecrets #myfavoriteproducts #skincareproductsthatwork #skincareproducts #skincarephotography #productphotographer #productphotography #torontoskincareblogger #skincareformen #skincareforallcultures

Cleansing routine for Acne Prone Skin ✨
Hi Cherie Friends, I just wanted to share my favorite AM and PM cleansing routine. Skin Background: I’m in my mid thirties and I have combination-to-dry, sensitive reactive and acne prone skin. I also have eczema... all around fun times. My main concerns are of course treating breakouts, maintain balance moisture level, and stop the aging clock as much as possible. I mainly only use cruelty-free, Vegan when possible products— there’s no need for that nonsense with the myriad of technology that we have today. 🌙PM Cleansing routine: When I wear a full face of make up I like to triple cleanse. ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm I will massage a pea to some size of this baby all over my face. This is so gentle and really breakdown all my waterproof mascara and foundation. MakeUp Eraser - Holiday Set Then remove them with these babies. Did you know that one pad can replace up to 500 make up wipes? Which all end up in our ocean or the landfills. I usually repeat this step, depends on how I’m feeling. #Zenmed - Facial Cleansing Gel[products]#[FiveStars] Friends, if you have not heard of Zenmed and you have acne— you must try it! This is a gentle gentle cleanser that doesn’t strip the skin and cleans so well. I just put a dime size cleanser on myMICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Soniclear Petite Antimicrobial Sonic Skin Cleansing Brush with MICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Delicate Sensitive Skin Antimicrobial Brush Head My skin feels so soft and clean after 2 minutes of cleansing. The brush tells you when you’re finished I also use the cleansing brush with MICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Soniclear Replacement Serum Infusion Head to massage in the serums. On Non-make up days: I still use my MICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Soniclear Petite Antimicrobial Sonic Skin Cleansing Brush & MICHAEL TODD BEAUTY - Delicate Sensitive Skin Antimicrobial Brush Head With a dollop of COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser I also really love how gentle this cleanser is and the added BHA helps to gentility exfoliate any excess dead skin cells and sebum. ☀️ AM Cleansing Routine: I hate waking up guys... I hate it so much. So I pretty much keep it really simple. Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser I’ve been loving this gentle cleanser. It smells amazing and super super gentle and pack enough punch to just remove the gunk out of my eyes and wake me up. I believe you can also use this to remove make up but I haven’t tried it yet. I’m actually running out of cleansers, please let me know your favorites below! 🐰cruelty free Thank you! Be Kind, Stay Beautiful

P.m. skincare routine. Suggestions ?
Here is my pm skincare routine. Started to care about my skin couple months ago only. Never had major issues but fine lines are starting to appear and let’s face it, I was bored during quarantine. I wanted to give double cleanse a try but had trouble finding a drugstore cleansing balm. I came across cocokind - Oil to milk cleanser and was pleasantly surprised. Works okay on make up and is gentle with nice ingredients. I wish the gliding would be a bit more smooth though. I can sometimes feel some pulling and tugging. 🌾 I follow with sioris - Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser as I like milky cleansers. This one is fine especially in colder weather but I sometimes feel like its a bit heavy and not deep cleansing enough. I prefer LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser but have run out. 🥛 I then follow with a first essence and a toner. People always say they are not essential in your routine but they’re actually my fave step. Adding soothing and hydrating ingredients without any heavy/greasy texture (I damaged my skin barrier after over exfoliating). I'm from - Mugwort Essence & COSRX - Propolis Synergy Toner are the ones I’m using right now. My skin agrees with both and it calms down any redness or tight feeling after cleansing. 🐝 I wanted to try snail mucin and was missing a small amount for free shipping (I know you feel me) so opted for MIZON - Snail Repair Eye Cream . Haven’t seen any results on the fine lines around my eyes yet as its only been a couple weeks but the texture is amazing and light and silky. 🐌 Once a week I will use THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum . Will step up to two times a week very soon. Just started my retinol journey and almost made the mistake to go with a 1% OTC retinol. Boy am I glad I did some research. This one is 0,05% retinol. Would really like your recommendations for a next step retinol for my next purchase :). I end the routine with CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion . Really love this. It has niacinamide which is nice because I don’t use it in serum form. I have it in my am toner as well and its just enough for me. Would maybe wanna switch up for a heavier moisturizer for winter if you have any suggestions. Cerave is always sold out in drugstores so wanted to try something else when I run out. Please feel free to recommend products you like. I will mention I use I'm from - Honey Mask and dear, klairs - Midnight Blue Calming Cream on nights my skin feel really bothered (like the night after I used the retinol) I adore the mask but will not be repurchasing the klairs cream. Its a bit overpriced and overrated in my opinion. I will gladly pay less for a similar white “less instagramable” cream. Any suggestion for this one as well? 🍯💙

My Favorite Korean Skincare Products
🇰🇷 Korean Skincare has been gaining traction in the U.S. over the last several years and rightfully so. Korean skincare is typically affordable, effective, focused on hydration and sun protection, and several years ahead of the U.S. in trending ingredients. My combo dry skin LOVES the focus on hydration and I personally really enjoy a longer multi step k beauty routine. I typically et my k beauty products on YesStyle, Wishtrend, Amazon, or Sephora if it’s something like Laneige or Glow a Recipe. Here’s some of my favorite K Beauty products I currently have on rotation: (From top left to bottom right) 🇰🇷 Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream: A very rich, barrier replenishing moisturizer for when my skin is dry or irritated. 🇰🇷 Glow Recipe Plum Plump Serum: An antioxidant rich gel texture hyaluronic serum. I use this daily. 🇰🇷 Mauve Fantastic Ever Cool Kids Never Sleep Cream: A water cream with some loud 80s packaging that I am LIVING FOR. This is a good dupe for the Tatcha Water Cream. 🇰🇷 Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm: A barrier replenishing cleansing balm rich in sea buckthorn oil. 🇰🇷 Dear Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream: A cream gel consistency moisturizer with blue tansy. Great for calming any inflammation. 🇰🇷 Krave Oat So Simple Water Cream: A very lightweight water cream with soothing oats. 🇰🇷 Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun: Get 👏🏻 Hip 👏🏻 To 👏🏻 This 👏🏻 Sunscreen 👏🏻 it’s like $8 and completely invisible and weightless. This is like my fourth bottle. 🇰🇷 Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel: An antioxidant rich mildly exfoliating gel cleanser. I feel very so so about this. It’s fine but I wouldn’t buy again. 🇰🇷 Laneige Cream Skin Toner: A milky hydrating toner with meadow foam seed oil. 🇰🇷 Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Toner: An incredibly hydrating and plumping watery gel consistency toner. 🇰🇷 Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel: A richly foaming powder enzyme cleanser gentle enough for every day use.

Let’s talk about the ghost in the room 👀 That being @ghostdemocracy This brand is new to me and has definitely caught me by surprise! I thoroughly enjoy each of these products so I’m excited to share my mini reviews 👻 transparent gentle exfoliating daily cleanser: this cleanser includes glycolic acid, mandelic acid, willow bark, and niacinamide! It is a gentle cleanser and caused a slight tingle the first time I used it but had no problem with it after. Does not dry out my skin and I love that it has glycolic acid! (Retails for $24 5oz) GHOST DEMOCRACY - Transparent Gentle Exfoliating Daily Cleanser 👻 clean lightweight daily face moisturizer: when they say this is a lightweight moisturizer then mean LIGHT! This moisturizer went onto my skin so effortlessly and made is silky smooth. Though it is light it is very moisturizing. It includes probiotics, niacinamide, oat seed extract, and panthenol. (Retails for $28 1.7 oz) GHOST DEMOCRACY - Clean Lightweight Daily Face Moisturizer 👻 floodgate hyaluronic acid serum: Many of you know I have been looking for a good hyaluronic acid that wasn’t sticky and did a great job of locking in all of my serums. Well this is it, this here is my favorite hyaluronic acid. Not only is it not sticky on my skin but it goes on and soaks into my skin quite quickly. It includes hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, linden flower extract, and white tea leaf extract. (Retails for $34 1fl oz) GHOST DEMOCRACY - Floodgate Hyaluronic Acid Serum Now are there products out there that get the job done for a cheaper price...Yes! But some products like the cleanser are worth splurging on especially for the ingredients that it includes. *PR but thoughts are my own*

Restarting my Acne Journey
Restarting my Acne Journey
Hi all! This is a little vulnerable for me: I usually never post or go outside without at least a bit of makeup. BUT! I’m restarting my efforts to fix my acne with a new routine, and I know there’s a lot of people who struggle with this. So, here’s my face! I’ve been using DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel for two weeks now and the purging is starting, so hopefully this is the worst it will get. I’m hoping with continued use to see some progress and to track it here! I have experienced stinging and some severe sensitivity while my skin gets used to it, but after two weeks the stinging is dying down. I’ve been dealing with hormonal/cystic acne for 10 years now, and believe it or not this is the best it’s been in years. I’ve slowly figured out what works for me, and wanted to share those tips. BUT, if I’ve learned anything in the past ten years about acne it’s that you need to listen to your own face: even if 1000% swear by something, if it doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t work for you. I have super oily skin, so if you have dry or combo, the listed routine will most likely not work. But for my oily pals, here’s the routine that’s improved my skin so far: Morning: FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser I love how calming and non-stripping this cleanser is, but it still manages to reduce my oil FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry to target acne scarring Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 to protect from sun damage and irritation. I HAVE TO use a gel formula for moisturizers/sunscreens, or else I break out like crazy. That’s the number one issue I’ve figured out with my face. This one has a nice gel cream texture and is lightly moisturizing, but doesn’t turn me into an oil slick. Night: First cleanse/makeup removal with GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm Second cleanse with FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser Apply pea sized drop of DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel If my skin is feeling good and non-irritated, I use LANEIGE - Special Care Water Sleeping Mask for just a bit of moisture overnight If my skin is feeling irritated/tight, I’ll use GOOD MOLECULES - Squalane Oil for a heavier hit of moisture. If my skin is REALLY irritated, I follow with Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Mist to try and calm my skin down So here we go! Hoping to see some improvements next month. Trying my best to be patient and consistent this time, which is the hardest but most important part. Thanks for reading, and good luck on your acne journey! #CherieCreator #acne #pimples #acnecare #cysticacne #hormonalacne

Week 5 of Tretinoin + BIG STORYTIME
Week 5 of Tretinoin + BIG STORYTIME
The dreaded purging period! Sorry for the late post—this is my progress form last week—- This is the end of my fifth week going on Spirinolactone (pills for hormonal acne that I take 1x a day) and Tretinoin. Since last week, I have made some significant changes to my routine, for reasons to be told at the end of the post. I purchased both treatments from Apostrophe, so they have been prescribed by a dermatologist. My Apostrophe cream formula is 0.025% Tretinoin and 4% Niacinimide. I have normal, but dehydrated skin. I’m looking to add more in as I adjust to treatment. My routine is as follows: AM HONEST - Gentle Gel Cleanser dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Unscented Facial Toner COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence HONEST - Hydrogel Cream PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ Supergoop! - Glow Stick SPF 50 (I reapply with this spf every 2 hours) PM DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil HONEST - Gentle Gel Cleanser dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Unscented Facial Toner COSRX - Hydrium Centella Aqua Soothing Ampoule 40ml (for added hydration!) HONEST - Hydrogel Cream Apostrophe formula (using this after moisturizer so I can have a buffer between the tret and my skin) CeraVe - Healing Ointment The purging period, yeah that’s still happening 😩 Ok, so I was previously using the Aveeno spf. The white cast on this was horrendous, so I have been finding myself harshly rubbing the sunscreen in to get rid of the cast. And since I would reapply every two hours, I’d repeat this process frequently throughout the day. After a while, the consequences of harshly rubbing my face became obvious. For the past two weeks, my skin was ultra sensitive. My face stung while touching it. The Cerave hydrating cleanser and Cerave moisturizer for normal to dry skin would BURN. However, none of the other products I used burned. So, I ditched the Aveeno SPF, thanks to a very helpful commenter, and bought the Purito Centella Unscented Sunscreen and... white cast begone! I love to use the Supergoop glow stick to reapply because it leaves my face with a fresh glow. I no longer needed to rub my face so harshly. Yet only the Cerave cleanser and moisturizer still continued to sting. So, I switched my cleanser and moisturizer to Honest Beauty. I have used these products in the past, and loved them. I’ve never had a problem. So I used them, and no sting! I still have no idea why the Cerave cleanser and moisturizer continues to sting now. But for now, I’m halting use.

Week 6 of Tretinoin + Progress
Looking back on my progress (Before and after) This is the end of my sixth week going on Spirinolactone (pills for hormonal acne that I take 1x a day) and Tretinoin. Whereas I got about (if we’re counting) 4 new bumps per day, I now get about 1 a day. And these ones disappear relatively quickly, so within 2 days max. The purging period is definitely the hardest because your skin is literally at its worst. All the congestion is coming to the surface. It’s really hard to lose sight of the progress you’ve made and feel like Tretinoin isn’t working so that’s why taking photos is important. So, I’ve chosen to show my progress from July 17 to today, September 3rd. This really gives me a glimmer of hope, as I was feeling pretty down while purging. Compared to others my progress is slow, because I slowly worked up to daily usage of Tretinoin. And every individual has a different experience with the purging period. For some it may last only 2 weeks or a month, and for others it may last 3-4 months. There’s no telling by looking at only other’s individual experiences how your experience will go. I really want to combat the hyperpigmentation left over from before and during the purging period (PIE and PIH). So once I’m sure my inflammatory acne is completely gone, I want to consider adding in another product to increase the speed at which my marks fade.

There are also natural green tea leaves imbedded in the cleansing stick to provide a gentle exfoliation to reveal brighter more even toned skin. I’ve tried stick cleansers in the past and while they were convenient for traveling, they always left a film on my skin and tight afterwards. I had the same reservations about this one but to my surprise, this left my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. I assume it’s because of the oils in the formula but I really enjoyed using this. It lathers nicely and cleanses my skin of everything. ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Rerment Micro Essence - one of my all time favorite essences. This hydrating and brightening essence is formulated with 93% naturally fermented ingredients as well as betaine, allantoin, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine, niacinamide, and various amino acids. I forgot how much I loved this essence. Used directly after cleansing, this watery first treatment essence quickly absorbs to restore hydration and prep my skin for the remainder of my routine without any stickiness. There’s also the plumping effect that this gives after 1-2 skins that I love so much. After consistent use, I can easily see my skin looking brighter and more even toned. This is probably one of the more hydrating FTE’s that I’ve tried. ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Ferment Micro Serum - the perfect companion for its essence counterpart. This viscous and creamy gel serum delivers a boost of nutrients and antioxidants to the skin with its elegant formula comprised of 61% fermented ingredients as well as niacinamide, adenosine, sodium hyaluronate, centella asiatica, hydrolyzed collagen, ascorbic acid, and vitamin e.This is very moisturizing and it leaves a bit of tacky and dewy finish once it’s absorbed. Upon application, you can see slightly plumper and brighter skin. It layers well with no pilling issues so regardless, you won’t even feel it once you’ve applied something else on top. Over time, I saw noticeably brighter skin that had that felt bouncier and firmer. ▶️NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy Canadian Clay Pore Cleanser - a 2 in 1 detoxifying mask and cleanser that eliminates excess sebum and blackheads while also cleansing the skin of makeup, dead skin cells, and clogged pores. This mask cleansers contains a ton of extracts, micro-particles of natural glacial marine soil, and colloidal clay from West Coast British Columbia, Canada. This has a creamy clay texture that easily spreads onto the skin. After a few minutes of application, the clay begins to foam on the skin to help draw impurities from the pores. Once the foaming has stopped, proceed to massage it into the skin and then rinse with water. I thought this was fun to use but using this everyday left my skin a bit dry. I preferred to use it every few days which was nice to help refresh my skin. ▶️NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy A-Clear Aid Soothing Spot Patch - these are your typical hydrocolloid acne patches that help absorb excess sebum and secretions from your breakouts while also protecting the area from dirt and bacteria. These come in two sizes which is great for different sized pimples. I always enjoy having acne patches on hand because they help prevent me from picking at my pimples. After I intentionally or accidentally pop my spots, these are great for reducing the size of them overnight.
