Moisturizer barrier protection

Although I have oily skin, it’s also important to moisturize it especially during winter. Having dry skin can be a cause of acne. Dry skin also makes your makeup look dull. Dry skin also accompanies larger pores. And so it’s really important to make sure your skin’s moisture barrier is at a healthy state. I depend on StriVectin - SD Advanced Plus Intensive Moisturizing Concentrate For Wrinkles & Stretch Marks
during the winter to moisturize my face. It’s a very thick cream so a little goes a long way. It not only hydrated but also prevent wrinkles as well. Bring this moisturizer down your neck as well because first signs of aging can be seen at your neck.

Forehead wrinkles and pores.
My forehead is the part of my face that shows age the most. I’ve always wrinkled my forehead but the wrinkles only became noticeable in the past year. The top picture was taken in May and the bottom picture in December. When it comes to skincare, I tend to play the long game. I rarely see instant results so I like to give products some time to work. Overall, I’ve noticed that my forehead wrinkles are less noticeable, my pores are less visible and my skin looks healthier and brighter. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Ultra Glow Serum: Glow + Strengthen Vitamin C SerumI started using this serum in the mornings under my moisturizer in May. I found this serum to be devoid of any weird smells, lightweight and almost watery in texture. My skin absorbs the serum right up and it doesn’t feel oily or sticky afterward. My only issue with this formula is that it comes in a clear bottle. Everything I’ve read says Vitamin C degrades with light. I hope Sephora figured out how to keep the serum stable in a clear bottle but I wasn’t sure so I kept it inside the box to minimize light exposure. Has anyone contacted Sephora about this? I didn’t see this addressed on the product’s page. StriVectin - SD Advanced Plus Intensive Moisturizing Concentrate For Wrinkles & Stretch MarksI usually follow up the Vitamin C serum with this Moisturizing Concentrate every morning. I also use this concentrate in the evening. The formula is creamy but thicker than other moisturizers I’ve used in the past. It leaves my skin feeling very moisturized. I only use a little bit because my skin won’t absorb all of it if I apply too much. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30I finish my morning routine with this moisturizer because my skin loves it! I don’t get breakouts from this formula and it has SPF. A definite AM winner. I’m keeping the StriVectin and the La Roche-Posay products but I’m trying a new Vitamin C serum that has better packaging.

Old vs New: Moisturizers 🖤
Moisturizer is such a must!! It doesn’t matter what skin type you have, you always have to use a moisturizer! A rule of thumb is cream moisturizers work best for dry skin while gel typically work best for oily skin. That being said there are a few exceptions. For me that one exception was the StriVectin - SD Advanced Plus Intensive Moisturizing Concentrate For Wrinkles & Stretch Marks This by far was one of my favorite moisturizers I’ve used. I was lucky enough to win it in a giveaway because a 2 oz bottle costs $79. Strivectin claims this stretch mark cream turned anti-wrinkle moisturizer will provide 72 hours of hydration, while reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and improving skins texture. Now I’m 24, I know I don’t have many wrinkles to correct but what this did do was help smooth out my skin a lot. I’ve noticed how soft, smooth, and hydrated my skin does feel after using it. It’s a cream formula so I mainly use this at night but it isn’t heavy on the skin nor make me super oily. I do think it’s improved the elasticity of my skin as well. Purely for the price and the fact I have way too many moisturizers in my stock pile I did not repurchase. My new moisturizer is one I’ve used before but it is one I enjoy. The FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream Safe for Sensitive Skin has a texture that I’ve never felt before! When you open the jar the product inside is bubbles but underneath is the actual product. It’s almost like a gel cream hybrid that feels light as air on the skin. It can feel a little slimy at first so I don’t think this is for everyone but once you work in the product it feels light as air on the skin. It feels very hydrating and nourishing. I also really appreciate the fact it is fragrance free!! I really like this because I feel like it helps my skin barrier which is always a little dehydrated and damaged. Both have very different textures but work so well for my oily skin. If you have more dry skin and the money to spend (or more mature skin) I would completely recommend the Strivectin. If you’re looking for a cheaper option or have oily skin you might really love the lightweight hydration the First Aid Beauty. 🖤 What are some of your favorite moisturizers?

So I've been really loving the

Reduces inflammation, minimises pore appearance, minimises fine lines and wrinkles, helps with hyperpigmentation, protects against sun damage 🖤 The one Main actives: 🌟 Vitamin C Boosts collagen production, brightens dark spots and scars, encourages cell turnover, evens skintone, fights free radicals 🌟 Ginseng root extract Boosts blood circulation and collagen production, brightens complexion, helps with hyperpigmentation 🌟 Hyaluronic acid Hydrates, plumps and reduces fine lines and wrinkles by pulling moisture out of the environment onto the surface of your skin 🖤 My skin has been seriously playing up recently, thanks hormones! These two gorgeous products have really helped kick it up the arse. The Get Even cleanser has really helped in speeding up my spot situation (they come and go much faster than they usually would). I'm currently using this every other night while my skin gets used to acids again, although I'd say I find lactic the gentlest of the acids on my skin. The One serum is another great one that seems to really help reduce the appearance of my spots and give me a real balanced and bright skintone. As soon as my hormones settle and these spots do one, my skin is going to be glowing thanks to this. It absorbs beautifully, layers well and in general I really enjoy this product, it's definitely the one! So many amazing actives packed into two beautiful products.

Good Molecules Niacinamide Serum
Good Molecules Niacinamide Serum
I would rate the Niacinamide Serum by Good Molecules 4/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good Molecules products are available on beautylish and their brand is overall pretty affordable. It sells for 6$ and claims to minimize the appearance of pores, uneven texture and tone with its 10% niacinamide formulation. The texture is a little bit thick so the applicator doesn’t get that much product out sometimes but it feels lightweight on the skin and absorbs pretty fast. I used different niacinamide serums before and this one is my favorite right now. I’ve had this one for about 7 weeks now and I can see my redness improve and my overall skin looks more even. I especially love to use this one breakouts or red spots, since it helps them heal much faster. After a couple of uses, my blemishes usually heal with this product. This serum feels almost hydrating on my oily skin and I would really recommend it to anyone. Niacinamide serums are great for most skin types and this one is just my favorite formula while being super affordable! I will repurchase myself too!

REVIEW
ZO Skinhealth - Complex
REVIEW ZO Skinhealth - Complexion Renewal Pads. . I love trying new products with acids in them can you recommend any for me to try? . THE CLAIMS: 💙 Dual-chemical exfoliation removes dead skin cells to prevent clogged pores and help decrease a potential acne breakout with 2% salicylic acid and Glycolic acid. . 💙 Reduces oiliness to help control acne skin and provide a clearer complexion. Calms and soothes inflamed and irritated skin with a botanical extract blend. . 💙 Provides antioxidants to protect against damage caused by free radicals. . 💙 The texture of the pads are specifically designed to help promote exfoliation. . THE RESULTS: 💙 I started using these pads every evening followed by my Radical Night Repair and then I’d use other daily peels in the morning and my skin became very sensitive very quickly. Normally my skin is very tolerant to layering Acids and Retinols but one thing I’ve found out the hard way is Zo products are very potent and you don’t need to layer as many products to get results. . 💙 I now use this product every night but if Im using Radical Night Repair or Invisapeel I will skip this step and opt for a hydrating toner instead and I will skip acids in the morning as well. . . 💙 Every time I use these I always feel the tingling you get with acids but this subsides very quickly. . 💙 The texture of the pads allows exfoliation also but you only need to rub gently for it to be effective so it’s like a nice soothing massage. . 💙 Products applied after using these absorb faster so allows your following skincare to work more effectively. . 💙 This leaves my skin soft and smooth but I can’t use it at all if my skin is irritated because it stings more and leaves it feeling very sensitive and hot.

Spot Treatment
Spot Treatment
If you suffer with a mild form of acne, an ingredient to include within your at-home regimen is Salicylic Acid! It is a chemical exfoliant within the BHA family, that is clinically proven to speed up the healing process of a blemish. I encourage each of you to LEAVE your hands OFF of your face, when a breakout occurs. Forming this habit will be the most rewarding skill, you can obtain when it comes to your (acne-prone) skin health. If you are unable to regularly visit a professional for the caring of your skin, a spot treatment is a simple but effective step to include in your regimen! I love this one from Origin that contains salicylic acid, red algae, witch hazel, and fruit enzymes! ORIGINS - Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel #cheriecreator

The best pore minimizing product!!
The best pore minimizing product!!
This product saved my skin! This is the good molecules Niacinamide serum. Niacinamide is known to help with sebum production (great for girls with oily skin like myself), textured skin, as well a breakouts, and most importantly the appearance of pores. This serum went above and beyond in repairing my skin and making my pores smaller than they usually are. I feel like this product itself doesn’t minimize your pores but it truly helps with oil control which in turn changes the size of pores. I highly recommend this product to all skin types but especially oily girls. The best part is even if it doesn’t work for you it’s only $6 USD! It’s a thicker serum which I prefer, has no scent, and comes out of the dropper with ease. I give this product a 5/5!
