Cleansers Iām currently using
I am currently alternating between two cleansers and they both have different perks.
1. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample
ļæ¼
ļæ¼This product is a lot easier to clean up than a foam cleanser so I tend to use this one at the sink.
ļæ¼
ļæ¼This cleanser also did not burn when I got it in my eye by accident and works well taking off make up.
2. PACIfICA - Coconut Milk Cream To Foam Face Wash
ļæ¼I love how creamy and foamy this cleanser is, but it can be messy so I tend to only use this cleanser when Iām taking a shower.
ļæ¼The main reason for a missing star is because I donāt think it works very well as a first cleanse because it burns if it gets in/near my eyes. This isnāt very helpful for removing eye make up like the Drunk Elephant Cleanser,

drunk elephant review with fungal acnešš
as someone with fungal acne, buying the same products can be reaaallyyy boring. so this is my review of drunk elephant as someone with fungal acne!!
* disclaimer, NONE of these products are fungal acne safe!! use at your own risk *
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser this cleansing balm doesnāt really emulsify when you activate it with water, leaving a really oily feelingš and doesnāt remove all my makeup
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample this is a really nice gentle foaming cleanser... and thats pretty much it.
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum i love this serum! its a lovely gel serum that absorbs in quickly and is greak at oil control
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum this serum is a little tricky, i havenāt really noticed a difference in my skin in terms if brightness, i do have a bit of dark spots and they havenāt budged. not to mention this formulation is a rip off of the SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum
ļæ¼
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream this is a thicc moisturizer that surprisingly doesnāt leave my oily skin looking greasy af. its a good moisturizer for dry combo skin!

ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream this moisturizer feels exactly like the lala retro... its just 8 dollars more expensive
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask this mask burns so bad the first 20 seconds but then it settles down. i really havent seen a difference in my skin so
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil ive only used this oil a few times but wow it really makes your skin feel super soft and dewy
ļæ¼DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm i love this lip balm but its 16 dollars and the claim are completely false!
in conclusion, i wont be repurchasing anymore of drunk elephant products because in reality they are just good products... nothing too special ESPECIALLY for the price. they aslo didnāt want to provide information about the percentage of black employees during the Pull Up Or Shut Up movement so yeah. their aesthetic is cute but ive grown out of this phase š

3 Exfoliators for Clear, Smooth Skin
Using the right exfoliator is a must for removing dead skin cells and revealing brighter, youthful skin. These are three of my favorites! Each has a similar function but are diverse in the sense of usability.
Fresh Beauty Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash is gentle enough to use daily and functions both as a face wash and exfoliator. Basically, a 2 in 1 for those looking for a multi functional product.
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is also gentle enough to use daily but is a rice powder that is activated by water to gently exfoliate skin. I love it because it works for all skin types and is great for sensitive skin without compromising on effectiveness.
Fresh Beauty Umbrian Clay Exfoliator - this is one youāll want to use twice a week. The Umbrian clay helps purifies pores to a max while exfoliating skin.

My current favorite exfoliating face wash! šāØ
I recently found out about this fresh sugar strawberry exfoliating face wash. One of my friends recommended me this during the summer so I wanted to try it out for a while before giving my final thought about this.
Iāve really been enjoying this.
I have combination/dry skin. I have a really oily forehead and nose but my cheeks and chin are really dry, plus on my dry areas I tend to flake a little if I donāt use good moisturizers.
Since it is an exfoliator I donāt use it everyday, I use it 2-3 times a week. I really like that the exfoliating ābeadsā are sugar so when you use it on your skin they slowly dissolve instead of staying in tact and over exfoliating and making your face overly sensitive.
This smells kinda sugary but not an overpowering scent. It has pieces of strawberries in it š. Itās not scratchy on my face so when I use it it doesnāt hurt. It always leaves my face super smooth and moisturized on my dry areas and doesnāt strip my oils on my oily sides too.
After Iāve used this it always helps my skin absorb serums and moisturizers really well.
Make sure you donāt rub this right under your eyes since that area is very sensitive, also donāt rub this on your closed eye lids, the WHOLE eye area is very sensitive. Just use an oil it or any soft cleanser.
If youāve always wanted to try this out, strawberry cleanser AND the soy face cleanser duo is on sale on Sephoraās site for $19! Theyāre both 1.6 oz. definitely a value set. ššāØāØ
The strawberry cleanser on its own for 1.6 oz is $15!

Itās only up from here!!!!!
My new skin care routine is below :

I then pay my face dry with a PAPER TOWEL. I stopped using clean cloths like rags or towels... they seem to work better.
I after go in with my The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
After using, The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%
ThenThe Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA
I then go in with my Tretinoin 0.025% cream , mixing it with my The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane
After this using my Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream mixing this with The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

Good for oily skin types.... so not mine
This is a good cleanser that has ingredients that will definitely clean your pores and is formulated well. Sadly it does not get my fragrance free approval stamp, however since it is a wash off treatment, it's not bad if your not sensitive. On the ingredients list, it lists "fragrance" at the very bottom, so if you are sensitive to a certain type of fragrance, I'd stay away to be safe (since it doesn't specify)
This is very good for oily skin types. My boyfriend currently uses this cleanser and it has done very nicely for him in evening out his skin tone, and leaving him clean without stripping his skin.... however for me, it leaves my skin feeling tight. I have skin so dry that I need all the moister I can get, so sadly this is a no for me. If you have combination or oily skin though, it's definitely worth a try. It's decent on the price point and comes with glass packaging (always a plus).

Farmacyās gentle cleanser from the gods š¼
Officially my favorite cleanser šØ
I am an absolute Farmacy stan and this is only the third product Iāve tried from them. If you have dry or sensitive skin or both then this cleanser is super beneficial!
The cleanser has:
Coconut sugar and amino acids which helps remove make up and oil in a gentle way.
Hyaluronic acid provides deep moisture.
The honey blend is great for moisture and antioxidants.
The botanical blend (turmeric, aloe, calendula) just to name a few. These ingredients are great for redness, inflammation and soothing the skin.
My skin is dry but not sensitive. I use this cleanser in the morning and at night because itās super hydrating and my skin feels moisturized and not stripped even after it gets off the dirt, oil, or make up.
It has a gel like consistency but itās not thick. To me it smells like beeswax and itās not at all perfumey.
A little bit goes a long way, I only use one pump on my foreo mini and it cleans my whole face.
It comes in two sizes, a 5 oz thatās $28 and a 3.4 oz for $22. I got mine from Sephora :)

FARMACY-Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser
THE HOLY GRAIL!!
After using makeup wipes for most of my life my skin was dead! It stung when ever I used the wipes and I ended up waking up with makeup still on my face! This saved me...
Claims: Refreshing, gentle, dissolves makeup+impurities with no oily residue afterwards
My thoughts: This was recommended to me at Sephora, and damn it works well! I use this whenever I wear makeup- it gets rid of all of it! It even removes stubborn eye makeup such as waterproof eyeliner and mascara. It smells just like a spa! It soothes my skin and makes it feel very refreshed. This product is AMAZING!! It removes ALL makeup. Would highly recommend, all of their claims are met!š„³š
Itās also apart of of āClean at Sephoraā!!
boscia-MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil
The cleanser for all
Youāve heard the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser raves about, so here I am adding to the fanfare!
This cleanser is super duper gentle on my dry skin which I love, but still leaves my skin feeling clean. Plus it smells like a yummy green juice!
Should you try this? Yes, if you have a face you need to try this. Itās magic for all skin types!
This cleanser has green tea which is perfect for dry, irritated or inflamed skin. But you can definitely use this with oily skin too as it leaves your skin feeling super fresh, clean, and not too oily. It does a great job as a second cleanse and helps remove any leftover makeup and oil.
Iām a big fan of YTTP in general because they are ethical in their model. They donate to a lot of organizations important to me and are a huge supporter of the LGBTQ community. They are a CF and vegan brand as well so no animal testing or animal byproducts for all the animal lovers out there!
The glass bottles are 100% recyclable and they offer a large refill bottle as well which is great! The bottle also makes a cute vase as well š

reflekt - 1 Daily Exfoliating Face Wash
Some notable ingredients in this product include hyaluronic acid, biodegradable jojoba beads, a vegan collagen, and vitamin B5.ā£
ā£
This cleanser IS exfoliating so to me that means itās used as a second cleanse, not as a makeup removing cleanser and since this physical exfoliation is so gentle I can see myself using this about every other day. The beads in this are so small and donāt feel abrasive at all. My skin feels clean and refreshed after using. I also really enjoy the dispensing menthod, you just twist the top and squeeze it out instead of having to remove the cap which is what I initially thought would happen.ā£

Slaai or Green Clean - whatās the better balm?
Hey friends! This post is a head-to-head comparison of two lovely cleansing balms. Iāll choose a clear winner below, but I want to hit on the most important aspects of a cleansing balm and why I like one more than the other. Keep in mind I have sensitive, dry combination skin! Both of these products are marketed to all skin types.
The products are: DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm
Price:
Farmacy Green Clean: $34 for 3.4 Oz (pictured here is the limited edition jumbo size)
Drunk Elephant Slaai: $35 for 3.88oz, plus a tube of exfoliating bamboo and charcoal powder (pictured here is the midi size)
Scooper:
Farmacy: comes with a scooper that does not affix to the tub or fit inside the lid of the tub.
DE: comes with a magnetic scooper that affixes to the top of the tub.
Scent:
Farmacy: smells like animal crackers or lime sherbet
DE: has no smell; maybe a medicinal scent if anything
Formula:
Farmacy: uses sunflower + ginger root oils
DE: uses virgin marula oil
Ease of application:
Farmacy: takes less effort to melt into an oil
DE: takes a little extra TLC to completely melt
When adding water:
Farmacy: turns into a visible milky cleanser and washes off easilyāskin feels tight afterwards
DE: turns into a clear milky cleanser and leaves a light residue on the skināfeels nourishing and ready for the second cleanse
Cons:
Farmacy: burns my eyes, gives me blurry vision
DE: no cons
Overall thoughts:
So I purchased the jumbo green clean WITHOUT testing it first (bc Iām a DUMMY) and I regret not buying a full size Slaai. While the Farmacy Green Clean is nice and does a good job removing SPF and makeup, I canāt use it on eye makeup or around my eye area because it burns the absolute heck out of my eyeballs. The Drunk Elephant Slaai is all around a great first cleanse step and preps the skin for the second cleanse without stripping it. If I had to recommend one over the other it would be Slaai 100%.
Have you used either of these cleansers? What are your thoughts?
FARMACY-Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm
indie lee Rosehip Cleanserļ¼Brightening Cleanser.⣠ā£
Indeed, those two look quite similar. Both products contain a blend of natural ingredients and completely avoid synthetic chemicals like parabens, phthalates and sulfates, so it's ideal for all those who like their products clean, sustainable but still look stylish.ā£
ā£
However, itās quite different experience with Rosehip cleanser when using the Brightening one.
The former is still the best when it comes to hydrate and smoothe out the skin; I would still recommended it for dry sensitive skin. It also smells different. The strawberry oil in the formula gives the product sweet candy scent that provides a little extra mood boost. Not only that, strawberry also known as natural exfoliant to brighten and even out the skin.ā£
ā£
It's claimed to renew and revitalize skin with free-radical-fighting lycopene which is a natural pigment found in red-colored fruits like tomato. It's a strong antioxidant that 10x more efficient than beta-carotene to defend against some of the factors of skin aging and to avoid inflamed skin.⣠ā£
I use this for a morning cleanse and the second part of a double cleanse at night. It has a light gel texture that can foam slightly once it's in contact with water. Don't expect soap style lather. It rinses clean and does the job to remove dirt and sebum without leaving any residue. ā£
ā£
It leaves my oily skin in a comfortable but slightly dry state that is ready to receive the full benefits of any skincare that follows. It's very kind and gentle to my skin barrier, I notice that my skin feels a lot more balanced and less sensitive. Having said that, I didn't personally experience any brightening effect.ā£
