Battle of the Cleansers! 🧼 PART TWO

I have so many cleansers I had to make two posts about it! Here’s the second half, be sure to read part one for the other cleansers I reviewed. MY SKIN: Dry, crazy sensitive, prone to redness with a few breakouts here and there but nothing crazy. DISCLAIMER: This is just my personal experience with the products and I by no means speak for everyone’s experience. Maybe you love these products, and if they work for you, that’s amazing! Thanks! fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash

this product highlights sugar and strawberry to exfoliate and brighten skin. My honest opinion: I know, I know, scrubs are bad and evil. I hear it all the time. However, every time I use an exfoliating active my skin loses its mind and turns bright red and can sometimes sting for a whole 24 hours after I use it. Until I find an active that doesn’t completely destroy my skin, I’m sticking to scrubs. Sugar is a great scrub since it dissolves with water, meaning the risk of over-scrubbing is minimized. And I scrub VERY gently. Since my primary concern with exfoliating is dead skin and not acne, this works just fine for me. It’s definitely one of the most gentle scrubs I’ve used, so if you just need to use a scrub like me, this is a great one to use. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample

This product highlights cantaloupe and glycerin as it’s key ingredients to deeply cleanse all of the day’s impurities. My honest opinion: I used to use this as my summer cleanser daily for a long time. This is probably my 3rd bottle of it. So what happened? This cleanser did wonders for my skin when I lived in a hot and sweaty environment to clean all the gunk and full face of makeup off of me. But my life changed (and lbr so did the world) this year. I live in on a completely different side of the world and I stay indoors, rarely wear makeup and my skin has gotten a lot drier and this cleanser just doesn’t do it for me anymore. The surfactants are too stripping for dry skin. So, I’m breaking up with this cleanser. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser

This product highlights kale, green tea, spinach, and vitamins B, C, and E to remove buildup and balance pH without drying. My honest opinion: Y’all, I am IN LOVE with this cleanser. I picked up the YTTP Mini kit and used the whole bottle up and purchased the full size without a second thought! The INCI list is short and sweet, full of antioxidants and just feels amazing. I walked around sephora with it and every single person I saw was like “yes that’s my fave!” Honestly this is a stellar cleanser for dry skin and I highly recommend it. Full disclosure it does have fragrance and chlorophyll as the last two ingredients, but I haven’t had an issue with it. Big love!!
