Battle of the Cleansers! 🧼 PART TWO
I have so many cleansers I had to make two posts about it! Here’s the second half, be sure to read part one for the other cleansers I reviewed. MY SKIN: Dry, crazy sensitive, prone to redness with a few breakouts here and there but nothing crazy. DISCLAIMER: This is just my personal experience with the products and I by no means speak for everyone’s experience. Maybe you love these products, and if they work for you, that’s amazing! If they don’t, I hope you find something that does! But if you haven’t and are looking into any of these products, I hope I can help you make an informed decision. Thanks! fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash

Tube of Garbage 🗑
PLEASE READ!!! As you may remember I incorporated this product Bestie No.9 glycerin cleanser from @drunkelephant a while back into my cleansing regimen. I used it maybe one to two times a week when I forgot to bring my usual cleanser into the shower with me, this was my back up! And just recently for last month I stopped using it for some reason. Tonight I saw a lot of post about this on @cherie how it gave so many break outs and cystic acne and they are still recovering from all the damage. It occurred to me this was it. It was the only thing that I have stopped using and now no more new acne or worse the cystic acne. Never had cystic acne in my life till I started using this. Worst Korean skincare product ever! I said goodbye to this tube of garbage today. I know it’s hard for us to throw out the expensive makeup and skincare products we buy sometimes lucky for me this was a rewards gift item @sephora so no money wasted. Ahhh! Wait! I’ll take that back because now days I’m having to buy products to help with the scarring it gave. Lesson learned: if it doesn’t work for you just toss it. Save your pretty skin. I haven’t ever had acne like what I experienced in the last few months! Thanks my @cherie beauties! Now days Instagram isn’t about real reviews so much anymore it’s more about influencing ppl to buy products that are not what they say they really are. I will always keep my thoughts real and post about the good and bad. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample

🍓🌿I’ve heard and seen a lot of posts about this product. So I went all in and bought the limited edition 200ml tube of this stuff. And let me tell you I am SO glad I did. This product deserves all the five stars it’s getting, without debate. Fresh is supposed to be a clean brand I hear, I’m not sure (someone correct me on that 😅) 🍓🌿What it did for my skin: My skin felt so clean and looked so beautiful actually. It didn’t dry out my skin at all, I didn’t even have to apply moisturizer on afterwards even though I did. 🍓🌿What it’s like: A little sticky with grainy sugar, smells like lemon to me. Like a sweet lemon and maybe just a hint of strawberry. Still smells yummy though. I only used 3 pea sized amounts and it did really well on my whole face. 🍓🌿Conclusion: I love this product and when this runs out, I definitely want more. fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash
Totally Overrated Products: Fresh
This is a new series where I’ll go over brands most popular products that receive more positive attention than deserved. These three products are very overrated considering the formulas aren’t that good. Especially since most of them are packed with lots and lots of fragrance which is a known skin irritant. fresh - Rose Face Mask This face mask rinses cleanly which leaves the skin hydrated and feeling soft. The formula contains soothing ingredients and great antioxidants. However, this is where the positives end. -Includes a large amount of fragrance ingredients which can sensitize skin. -The product is also packaged in a jar which leaves the light and air sensitive ingredients exposed. fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash This exfoliating face wash does well at smoothing skin, but there are some risks. This face wash uses sugar granules for exfoliation but it can be abrasive which can cause harm to the skin’s natural barrier. -The formula contains many fragrance ingredients which puts skin at risk for irritation. -The brand claims that this face wash is gentle, however, a facial scrub is far from that especially when paired with fragrant ingredients. fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner This toner comes with rose petals in the product, which may look pretty, but only increases the risk of irritation to skin. While the toner does contain some beneficial ingredients that help to replenish skin, there are just too many fragrant ingredients. -This product can be too damaging to all skin types not just to those who have sensitive skin. The issue with fragrance: The daily use of highly fragranced products whether it’s natural or synthetic can cause a bad, sensitizing reaction to the skin. This reaction can lead to other issues such as increasing redness, disrupting the skin’s barrier, and worsening dryness. Similar to the effects of cumulative sun damage, the visible damage and negative impact from fragrance may not become evident for a long amount of time. Thanks for reading! :)

My christmas wishlist 🎄
To be honest there's some brands I might want to check out more in store (there's an Ulta, Sephora, and Morphe within 40 minutes of me! I love going in store and testing stuff bc of sensitive skin & allergies) Ok so these things are ones I've been eyeing lately and I'm super interested in: - YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser - either CHANEL - BLEU DE CHANEL Eau De Parfum, DIOR - Sauvage Eau de Toiletteor HERMÈS - Un Jardin Sur La Lagune Eau de Toilette(small size like around 1 oz and obv gotta smell them in person like in-store) - MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Oui Mon Cherry Set - MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - At Lash’d Lengthening and Curling Mascara - ARMANI beauty - Lip Maestro Midi Set(named wrong, it's the set of three mini lip maestros) - ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundationin the shade 3.75 - NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealerin affogato - MORPHE - M708 Angled Buffer Brush - MORPHE - M444 Deluxe Definition Buffer Brush - MORPHE - M449 Detailed Powder Brush - MORPHE - M446 Round Buffer Brush - MORPHE - M439 Deluxe Buffer Brush credit for inspo: @jassintadoe
Good cleanser, not quite great
I’ve been using YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser since April and thought I’d share my thoughts! Pros: All natural ingredients make this a super light and clean feeling cleanser. It has an amazing fresh smell from the plants inside of it. It leaves your skin smooth and soft and doesn’t leave a filmy residue on the skin. It also has helped the redness on my face a lot. Also I love the glass bottle because you know when my it’s running low. The other great thing is that you don’t need a lot of it, one pump can clean your face because it’s consistency is a little between a gel and a liquid cleanser (just a warning though, it doesn’t really lather). Cons: This is advertised to help take makeup off as well as cleanse and I don’t think that’s really true. It does take off foundation but not mascara or darker makeup. Further on that, I wouldn’t use it as a 2 in 1 makeup removing cleanser because it doesn’t have the power to do both. I think if you did this in a double cleansing skincare routine it’d be great but not on its own. For me, the price was also a con because it’s a little pricey ($36, and I’m a college student) but I have really sensitive skin so I thought I’d try it. While it’s calmed the redness on my face I haven’t noticed any relief in clogged pores or acne since I’ve started it (to be fair though I don’t know how much of it is just maskne). It makes my face feel clean but not deep cleaned. I personally like something that is a little stronger and will swap back to something with some type of acid in it to help with the clogged pores and blemishes. Overall, this is a great product if you have sensitive skin and dullness but it doesn’t have the operating power if you struggle with clogged pores, blemishes, or have combination skin.
Farmacy’s gentle cleanser from the gods 👼
Officially my favorite cleanser 🚨 I am an absolute Farmacy stan and this is only the third product I’ve tried from them. If you have dry or sensitive skin or both then this cleanser is super beneficial! The cleanser has: Coconut sugar and amino acids which helps remove make up and oil in a gentle way. Hyaluronic acid provides deep moisture. The honey blend is great for moisture and antioxidants. The botanical blend (turmeric, aloe, calendula) just to name a few. These ingredients are great for redness, inflammation and soothing the skin. My skin is dry but not sensitive. I use this cleanser in the morning and at night because it’s super hydrating and my skin feels moisturized and not stripped even after it gets off the dirt, oil, or make up. It has a gel like consistency but it’s not thick. To me it smells like beeswax and it’s not at all perfumey. A little bit goes a long way, I only use one pump on my foreo mini and it cleans my whole face. It comes in two sizes, a 5 oz that’s $28 and a 3.4 oz for $22. I got mine from Sephora :) Cruelty free! 🐰 10/10 hell yes I recommend 🐝 ♥️
FARMACY-Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser
THE HOLY GRAIL!!
After using makeup wipes for most of my life my skin was dead! It stung when ever I used the wipes and I ended up waking up with makeup still on my face! This saved me... Claims: Refreshing, gentle, dissolves makeup+impurities with no oily residue afterwards My thoughts: This was recommended to me at Sephora, and damn it works well! I use this whenever I wear makeup- it gets rid of all of it! It even removes stubborn eye makeup such as waterproof eyeliner and mascara. It smells just like a spa! It soothes my skin and makes it feel very refreshed. This product is AMAZING!! It removes ALL makeup. Would highly recommend, all of their claims are met!🥳👏 It’s also apart of of “Clean at Sephora”!!
boscia-MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil
The cleanser for all
You’ve heard the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser raves about, so here I am adding to the fanfare! This cleanser is super duper gentle on my dry skin which I love, but still leaves my skin feeling clean. Plus it smells like a yummy green juice! Should you try this? Yes, if you have a face you need to try this. It’s magic for all skin types! This cleanser has green tea which is perfect for dry, irritated or inflamed skin. But you can definitely use this with oily skin too as it leaves your skin feeling super fresh, clean, and not too oily. It does a great job as a second cleanse and helps remove any leftover makeup and oil. I’m a big fan of YTTP in general because they are ethical in their model. They donate to a lot of organizations important to me and are a huge supporter of the LGBTQ community. They are a CF and vegan brand as well so no animal testing or animal byproducts for all the animal lovers out there! The glass bottles are 100% recyclable and they offer a large refill bottle as well which is great! The bottle also makes a cute vase as well 😏

Gentle exfoliation cleanser
reflekt - 1 Daily Exfoliating Face Wash Some notable ingredients in this product include hyaluronic acid, biodegradable jojoba beads, a vegan collagen, and vitamin B5. This cleanser IS exfoliating so to me that means it’s used as a second cleanse, not as a makeup removing cleanser and since this physical exfoliation is so gentle I can see myself using this about every other day. The beads in this are so small and don’t feel abrasive at all. My skin feels clean and refreshed after using. I also really enjoy the dispensing menthod, you just twist the top and squeeze it out instead of having to remove the cap which is what I initially thought would happen.

Slaai or Green Clean - what’s the better balm?
Hey friends! This post is a head-to-head comparison of two lovely cleansing balms. I’ll choose a clear winner below, but I want to hit on the most important aspects of a cleansing balm and why I like one more than the other. Keep in mind I have sensitive, dry combination skin! Both of these products are marketed to all skin types. The products are: DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm Price: Farmacy Green Clean: $34 for 3.4 Oz (pictured here is the limited edition jumbo size) Drunk Elephant Slaai: $35 for 3.88oz, plus a tube of exfoliating bamboo and charcoal powder (pictured here is the midi size) Scooper: Farmacy: comes with a scooper that does not affix to the tub or fit inside the lid of the tub. DE: comes with a magnetic scooper that affixes to the top of the tub. Scent: Farmacy: smells like animal crackers or lime sherbet DE: has no smell; maybe a medicinal scent if anything Formula: Farmacy: uses sunflower + ginger root oils DE: uses virgin marula oil Ease of application: Farmacy: takes less effort to melt into an oil DE: takes a little extra TLC to completely melt When adding water: Farmacy: turns into a visible milky cleanser and washes off easily—skin feels tight afterwards DE: turns into a clear milky cleanser and leaves a light residue on the skin—feels nourishing and ready for the second cleanse Cons: Farmacy: burns my eyes, gives me blurry vision DE: no cons Overall thoughts: So I purchased the jumbo green clean WITHOUT testing it first (bc I’m a DUMMY) and I regret not buying a full size Slaai. While the Farmacy Green Clean is nice and does a good job removing SPF and makeup, I can’t use it on eye makeup or around my eye area because it burns the absolute heck out of my eyeballs. The Drunk Elephant Slaai is all around a great first cleanse step and preps the skin for the second cleanse without stripping it. If I had to recommend one over the other it would be Slaai 100%. Have you used either of these cleansers? What are your thoughts?
FARMACY-Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm
indie lee Rosehip Cleanser，Brightening Cleanser. Indeed, those two look quite similar. Both products contain a blend of natural ingredients and completely avoid synthetic chemicals like parabens, phthalates and sulfates, so it's ideal for all those who like their products clean, sustainable but still look stylish. However, it’s quite different experience with Rosehip cleanser when using the Brightening one. The former is still the best when it comes to hydrate and smoothe out the skin; I would still recommended it for dry sensitive skin. It also smells different. The strawberry oil in the formula gives the product sweet candy scent that provides a little extra mood boost. Not only that, strawberry also known as natural exfoliant to brighten and even out the skin. It's claimed to renew and revitalize skin with free-radical-fighting lycopene which is a natural pigment found in red-colored fruits like tomato. It's a strong antioxidant that 10x more efficient than beta-carotene to defend against some of the factors of skin aging and to avoid inflamed skin. I use this for a morning cleanse and the second part of a double cleanse at night. It has a light gel texture that can foam slightly once it's in contact with water. Don't expect soap style lather. It rinses clean and does the job to remove dirt and sebum without leaving any residue. It leaves my oily skin in a comfortable but slightly dry state that is ready to receive the full benefits of any skincare that follows. It's very kind and gentle to my skin barrier, I notice that my skin feels a lot more balanced and less sensitive. Having said that, I didn't personally experience any brightening effect.
