Does FOOD belong in SKINCARE or SMOOTHIES?🍑🥬🍯

avatar
spectacles
Fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients that we consume are commonly used in marketing for skincare products, claiming certain benefits. But do all natural foods belong in skincare? See for yourself 😉 🍯 Honey : anti-inflammatory, balances bacteria, speeds up healing of the skin. Often used in products for combatting acne. Very effective, but you should try not to smear raw honey on your face as it could clog your pores if not properly treated. Farmacy is famous for its line of products that effectively use honey! My favorite is FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum
which chemically exfoliates while also soothing and moisturizing to prevent irritation. 🥬 Celery : Ingesting celery juice is the latest trend in health and wellness, because it has such a high water content (over 95%) and contains antioxidants including vitamin C. However, adding celery to skincare is likely just a marketing trick, as it likely only adds some extra water to the product, and the antioxidant content likely needs to be boosted with other forms in order to get the best effect. The VOLITION - Celery Green Cream Beauty
is hydrating enough for a day cream, but I don’t think including celery makes it all that revolutionary. 🍵 Matcha : Powerful antioxidant and antibiotic. The chlorophyll which makes matcha such a bright green actually helps to convert sunlight to energy and therefore protect our skin from photo-aging. The ECGC compound in matcha is also anti-bacterial and is very helpful for fighting and soothing acne. The Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser
is easily my favorite cleanser due to how gentle and effective it is! 🍑 Peach : Anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, promotes skin metabolism, anti-bacterial, and antioxidant. The leaves contain amino acids, flavanoids, and tannins which are all very beneficial to skin health. The PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum
utilizes peach extract for this lovely serum that my skin absolutely drinks up! The results are amazing so I can’t help but believe that peaches are wonderful for our skin! 🍊 Orange : antioxidant, exfoliating, high vitamin C content. Could be irritating to sensitive skin types, especially oils from the peel. This goes for basically any citrus fruit, but it is still a very commonly used ingredient in skin care due to its antioxidant properties. In small doses it can be very beneficial, and it smells great, such as in the OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser
! What do you think? Do foods belong in skincare? Whats your favorite food-ingredient? Let me know below!!👇🏼👇🏼

Product Mentioned
Let’s talk—Celery Green Cream
This oil-free moisturizer contains HA and celery seed extract to help improve the over-all complexion of the skin while plumping the skin to provide soothed and calm skin! I received this in a FFF box and usually I am very cautious of what moisturizers I use on my face because I am oily and acne prone! This lightweight moisturizer has been the ticket for me! I use a beauty spatula to spoon this from the container to keep the inside of this moisturizer as sterile as possible. Before and after each use of the spatula I clean it with an alcohol swab. I find this helps keep my oily skin at bay when I wear this with makeup. However, when I do not wear makeup, this moisturizer doesn’t help my oily skin. I think this is a great moisturizer for all skin types and this smells very clean. It has not caused me to breakout and I have been using this consistently for 2 months now! VOLITION - Celery Green Cream Beauty retails for $55 and lasts a long time. I’ve made a small dent in this and think it will last me into 2021! If you can afford this, go for it! Otherwise, there are other great moisturizers out there for a fraction of the cost while still providing great results.

Celery green cream
A collaboration between @volitionbeauty and the Olympic gymnast @nastialiukin resulted in the newest addition to the Volition family: Celery Green Cream ✨ Rich in peptides and hyaluronic acid, the lightweight cooling gel-like texture instantly melts into the skin, leaving it fresh and balanced. I didn’t use it long enough to share a thoroughly detailed review (I’ll post it in about two weeks). However , I strongly recommend for you to head to your nearest @sephora and sample it, especially if your skin is on the oily side. This cream reduced the amount of oils that my combo skin usually produces while increasing its moisture levels. VOLITION - Celery Green Cream Beauty

Glass Skin > Ordinary Peeling Solution
Okay so a few weeks ago I made a post on how I changed my mind on The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Originally I was ready to bring it right back after trying for weeks but apparently I was keeping it on for too long and it was just making my skin worse. For the longest time, I was thinking that my skin has been so desensitized by products that I need to wear products for double the time they suggested (with hydrating products this sometimes works) but DEFINITELY not for this one. I started wearing it for 8-9 minutes rather than 10-15 and definitely seeing more improvements so I gave it a good review, but now that PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum has come into my life, I may have once again changed my mind. This is a serum that claims to smooth your skin and even tone using peach extract, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and peptides. Below I have provided Ulta’s notes on it! RECOMMENDED FOR: • Dullness and uneven skin tone • Rough skin texture • Wrinkles, fine lines, sagging • Dehydrated skin • Redness, inflammation WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: • Peach Extract: full of vitamins, minerals, and essential acids to help keep skin resilient • Niacinamide: helps quell inflammation, brighten and provide antioxidative benefits • Asian Mountain Yam Extract: helps to reduce flakiness • Madecassoide: helps curb inflammation and stimulate collagen production • Hyaluronic Acid Complex: blend of short-chain, medium-chain and long-chain hyaluronic acid molecules that moisturizes every layer of skin, leaving it hydrated, plumped and radiant • Peptide Complex: proprietary blend of peptides that signals collagen production, helping fill fine lines and deeply-etched wrinkles, while firming skin for a smoother, glassier appearance Verdict: After using this serum ONE TIME I noticed a DRASTIC change in my skin that I was expecting from The Ordinary Peeling Solution and didn’t get after using for almost 6 months. Slowly it started to show results, but nothing even CLOSE to Peach and Lily. With Peach and Lily, not only do I see a total lack of acne and scarring that I had before, but the redness that normally shows in my skin is almost nonexistent and my face is finally the same shade as my neck. This is definitely one of my top 5 products I’ve ever used. How I Use: Morning: Wash my face with THE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser Top with serum and a moisturizer with sunscreenCeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 Night: Wash my face with either the tea tree cleanser or bliss - Micro Magic depending on how long I wore my Covid mask that day (Micro Magic seems to help with maskne) Saturate a cotton pad with Fourth Ray - Waterfall Gentle Toner and rub it all over, let it dry and top with CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator

These saved my dry skin! ❄️
I usually have combination skin but for the past few weeks my skin has been extremely dry and tight. I’ve felt the most dryness on the lower parts of my cheeks and slowly my face has become more sensitive. These products have definitely helped improve the texture and hydration of my skin. I’m usually somewhat dry with my forehead/nose being really oily. My area has been having really cold dry winter days and nights. I start off with glossier milky jelly cleanser. It’s super conditioning. It doesn’t lather and helps soothe the redness. This has always worked for my combination skin and now works perfectly for my dehydrated dry skin. This doesn’t have a scent which I love. I have the full size and I already bought a back up of this. Full size is 6 oz $18 Mini size is 2 oz $9 Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser I follow with my peach & Lilly glass skin refining serum. I’ve been using this since July and it’s really light but moisturizing. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all and I’ve definitely seen my skin be less textured. This texture is very thin close to watery. This also doesn’t have a scent to it. It’s kinda pricey but does last several months. It’s $39 for 1 oz PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum For moisturizer I’ve been using the GLAMGLOW moisture trip omega rich moisturizer. This is a lightweight moisturizer but feels very hydrating. It has helped with my redness a lot. It has hyaluronic acid so it will help with dryness. It’s a nice feeling knowing you’re putting on a good moisturizer to help with dryness without the thickness of it. It has a slight fresh/avocado scent to it. It’s pricey at $55 for 1.7 oz. GLAMGLOW - MOISTURETRIP Omega-Rich Face Moisturizer At night I love to follow with the origins drink up intensive overnight hydrating mask with avocado & Swiss glacier water. I absolutely love this overnight mask. I’ve been using it for years and it’s something I trust to get rid of the dryness and tightness in my skin. It feels really soft on the skin and it’s not thick. Its great for my sensitive skin too. It has a very slight avocado smell but it’s not too much. For the first week I used this every night. After that I now use this every other day. Besides that I tend to use this once or twice a week. Full 2.5 oz is $27 Mini 1 oz is $13 ORIGINS - Drink Up-Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst I never forget about the lips and I use my trusty glossier mint balm dot com. I love this so much that I’m almost done with it. Personally the mint, rose, coconut and Un scented one are the ones with the most hydration. It’s pricey but I’ve had this for about a year. It’s 0.5 oz for $12. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom

Is Farmacy Really Farm Fresh?? 🌾
Me: dry-combo, currently acne prone, sensitive or very sensitive For my first dive into Farmacy products, I purchased the FARMACY - Farmer's Market Kit so that I could try a variety of their bestsellers. Overall, a good tester kit for your money with adequately sized samples! (Much bigger than the Glow Recipe sample sizes.) From favorite to least favorite: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm This was my first ever cleansing balm and I fell in love 😍 Your skin feels so smooth and moisturized afterwards. As a dry skin person I often used this as a single cleanse and didn’t notice any breakouts. I knocked off a star because it contains fragrance.... but actually I LOVE the smell... I just worry about my sensitive skin. The next balm I’m trying out is the GOOD MOLECULES - Instant Cleansing Balm FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya This was a nice lightweight moisturizer. I didn’t like the smell quite as much as the balm but it was fine. It did leave a bit of a shiny sticky residue for me but that went away when i added oil on top. Overall, not enough moisture for my skin right now, but I could see myself loving it in the summer! The next lightweight moisturizer I am trying is the CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I wanted to love this one, and about half the time I loved it, but about half the time I HATED it. When it was good, it made my skin feel so smooth, hydrated, and brightened. When it was bad, it BURNED my skin, horribly at times. I guess it depends on how my skin barrier is doing? Probably not a repurchase since it was so unpredictable on my sensitive skin. I love honey and would love to hear thoughts on other honey masks to try! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry My least favorite of the group, this one was just too sticky for me. I also didnt like the smell... it was almost sour smelling? Idk, just not for me. I’m now trying the Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serumfor my next vitamin C product. I also now purchased FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry and it is too soon for a full review but right now I am liking it a lot! It is not sticky, and does not have the funny smell of the serum. What do you guys think?? What Farmacy products should I try next? I’m eyeing the FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizeror the FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizerand the FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serumand maybe the FARMACY - Whipped Greens: Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser With Moringa and Papaya!! Let me know what you think!

Honey Honey 🍯
Want to wake up glowing and ready to show off your fresh face? Then look no further than FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum This product is a resurfacing night serum with glycolic acid , AHA’s, and BHA’s. This 3 in 1 product provides the following benefits: “Refines pores. BHA from willow bark, a natural source of salicylic acid, helps visibly diminish pore size. Gently exfoliates. Flower acids from hibiscus extract help exfoliate and clarify skin. Perfect for all skin types. Hyaluronic acid, along with our proprietary honey blend, deliver intense yet gentle hydration to ensure skin is never dry or over-stripped. I use this no more than every other night. I have a plethora of serums, so I like to rotate them. And I don’t like to use an exfoliant everyday, even if it is a gentle one like this. Make sure to be generous with your moisturizer following this, and maybe opt for one that’s more hydrating. I love my GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream however, I am pressed on Farmacy’s honey line, so I think I will be purchasing FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizerfor night time use. This picture is no makeup, no filter, just a natural radiance thanks to this HG serum. ✨🍯 🤩🌙

Food for your face + DIY yogurt mask recipe
I tried out this deluxe sized sample of KORRES - Hydra Biome Probiotic Superdose Face Mask With Real Greek Yoghurt from a recent GlossyBox. Yogurt is known for adding moisture, having anti-inflammatory properties, and cooling/soothing the skin. According to Korres this mask is: A probiotic face mask with real Greek yoghurt that rehydrates, soothes redness, and supports the rebalance of skin’s natural protective layer in just one use. This mask goes on like a thick cream and soaks into the skin, more like a dense moisturizer than your usual mask. It can also be used as a sleeping mask, but when I left it on for a bit it started to pill really bad so it might get all over your pillowcase. It feels very soothing on the skin and after washing off my face was super soft and super smooth! If you have inflamed or irritated skin and can afford it, this mask is totally worth the splurge. I knocked 1 star off due to price and the pilling situation. Or try one of these DIY Greek Yogurt + Probiotic face mask recipes: For inflamed or oily skin*: 1/2 cup plain full fat Greek yogurt + the contents of 1 probiotic capsule + 1 tsp. Honey + 1/2 tsp. of ground turmeric For irritated of dry skin*: 1/4 cup plain full fat Greek yogurt + the contents of 1 probiotic capsule + 1 tbsp. Honey + 1 tbsp. Aloe vera gel *obviously you should test to make sure you aren’t sensitive to these ingredients first, and don’t use on open skin.

PROBIOTIC HYDRATING MASK!
🍦PROBIOTIC GREEK 🇬🇷 Yogurt goodness!🍦You know what makes this probiotic even more bomb? Placing it in the fridge! Bye bye dry/dehydrated/stressed skin. I remember back in the day *being middle eastern and all* my mom would put yogurt on all our burns. So it only makes sense for it to be in skincare as well. Probiotics baby-helps mend skin. *pr*I use this 2-3 times a week. After I cleanse. Leave on for about 15 minutes then wash off. After, I only moisturize then oil up. Ahhh. Best feeling. Has aloe leaf juice and rice extract. It’s mega soothing and hydrating. Completes me honestly. #colorwatershot What’s that one tube mask that you always turn to when your skin needs some extra TLC? Let’s talk about it! KORRES - Hydra Biome Probiotic Superdose Face Mask With Real Greek Yoghurt

Brands I love ❤️
For Valentine's day I figure I'd make a post about brands I LOVE and highly recomend! Paula’s choice I know I do not own many of her products and I think it’s because I want to try other brands as I explore the vast skincare world. I already know this one is trustworthy in my book. They not only have a great resource with their ingredient dictionary, but they use that knowledge and transparency to formulate great products. Even the negative reviews on this brand that I've seen still say they formulate very well. They are slightly on the pricey side (expect about $40 or more), but you cannot go wrong. I love their PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator especially and have used their PAULA'S CHOICE - Defense Nightly Reconditioning Moisturizer Krave Beauty They don’t carry a lot of products in their brand, but like a fine dining restaurant with a small menu, what they make is their specialty. Their products are reasonably priced and they focus on non-irritating effective ingredients to help your skin barrier. I currently have their Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser and their Krave - Great Barrier Relief Inkey List I love this brand and that they are making simple products with usually only once active and that allows people to try them to see how it effects their skin for a reasonable price. I currently have their rosehip oil because I didn’t know how my skin would react to it, but it’s known for hydrating and evening skin tone. I currently use their THE inkey LIST - Rosehip Oil Cosrx Another good brand that formulates well while still being very reasonably priced. I love their COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence CeraVe A tried and true brand. There is a reason why dermatologists recommend this. CeraVe is formulated with non irritating ingredients, that may make them seem “boring” by not being packed with actives, but effective. I have a few of their products. CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream and CeraVe - Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum

My Current PM Routine
I recently did my AM routine.... Guess it's time to do my PM routine. Keep in mind my routines do tend to change frequently due to me trying different products to review, but this is my current one. THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm (I have to double check, but I think it's fragrence free) So far I'm enjoying this one. I like the ease of the tube and the texture is nice to get off my makeup and sunscreen. I actually like this one better than Then I met you - Living Cleansing Balm (not Fragrence free) and it's cheaper. I still enjoy then I met you, but it's not in the tube and I like inkey's texture better. Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser (Fragrence free) I've been using this one for PM because I feel like my milky cleansers aren't strong enough to get off the balm (it probably is). It's still gentle, while still feeling cleansing. I will say there's been times where I don't get it fully off and then when I go into my next step, it still foams up and I have to go back in and REALLY make sure I got it off Hanskin - Hyaluron Skin Essence(I think it's fragrence free. Again I'd have to double check) I haven't used this one enough yet to make a review, but so far I like it. It's watery like a toner so that's how I've been using it. My go to is usually COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence which I still use in the AM. I want to like Hanskin because I don't have a toner and wouldn't mind using this product in that place COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (Fragren free) I've already reviewed this one! Def a holy grail because it makes my skin feel plump and hydrated. If you can get around the idea of using snail slime, it is worth it! ETUDE - Soonjung Hydro Barrier Cream(Fragrence free) Another product too soon to review since it just recently joined my routine. It does leave a little shine while its waiting to sink in so if I keep it in my routine it would be for PM. So far my go to is CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream and I'm curious to find a cream that is a little more complex in it's ingredients list THE inkey LIST - Rosehip Oil (Fragrence free) I've been using this for a few weeks now. It is nice for hydration, but it sits on my skin. I feel like it sits on my skin for a long time. If I'm going straight to bed, I feel like it gets on my pillow and hair making a oily mess. I like to use this if I know I have time before laying down

Reflecting on 2020
2020 is coming to a close. I think we are all very hopeful for a better 2021. 2020 has been challenging year. But, as hard as it has been for me having a newborn & a toddler at home during two lockdowns now (Ontario is officially locked down today again), it has also given me LOTS of time with my kids, a HUGE appreciation for stay at home moms, and appreciating all the things I took for granted like seeing friends & family at Christmas. Here’s my @cherie2020 Top 5 1. Product My favourite has been SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment I received it in a sample bag from Sephora and was blown away by the results. It’s a 7 % lactic acid treatment in a milky serum consistency. It also contains licorice root extract. You really can notice it smooth & brighten your skin in 3 minutes! I haven’t bought the full size yet. It retails for $112 CAD for 1oz. But when my sample runs out I think this one is worth the money! (The sample is .25oz and I’ve been using it once a week for about 6 weeks and I might have one use left) 2. Trend Does Vitamin C count as a trend? I only started my skincare journey 6 months ago. I didn’t really know anything about skincare ingredients. Now I’ve bought two Vitamin C serums, an eye cream, and face wash! Vitamin C is powerful antioxidant that helps give you brighter, tighter, and overall more radiant looking skin. I definitely have noticed a difference since starting use to Vitamin C serums! VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum(haven’t started using) OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser 3. Best Look My best book would have to be my everyday 5 minute natural make-up look (see earlier post). Before I started my skincare journey in the summer, I was maybe washing my face in the shower and putting on lotion. Definitely no make-up. I looked tired and dull. Now I take care of my skin, so even without make-up I look brighter and I also take 5 minutes to put on a little make-up, even if it is just to walk the kids to the park and it makes me feel a lot better about my appearance. CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek CLINIQUE - High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara CLINIQUE - Just Browsing Brush-on Styling Mousse 4. Favourite Creator on Cherie I might be biased because I won a great giveaway from her, but I really love following @JadesJourney I really enjoy her intersection between skincare and wellness. Check her out! 5. Something I learned The biggest thing I learned this year is not only can I find the time everyday to take care of my skin but that I look forward to it! Happy New Year!

NEW Naturium & Farmacy BHA comparison
NEW Naturium & Farmacy BHA comparison
Naturium and Farmacy were both gifted in PR. I have oily, dehydrated, acne prone sensitive skin at the moment. For full review on Farmacy’s BHA, check out my page. Here’s a comparison to Naturium’s new BHA ($20/4 oz) and which one I prefer! I have been using Naturium for nearly two weeks. The product is marketed toward all skin types, and claims to do exactly what a BHA does: exfoliates/clears pores, even tone, and smooth fine lines. My experience with this product so far is nice. It’s a more hydrating product, so my dehydrated skin loves it. It’s also alcohol free, oil free, and fragrance free, making this perfect for sensitive skin. The formula is relatively basic, which isn’t bad at all, considering the price! Since my skin is used to salicylic acid, I’ve used this daily since receiving it with no issues. I love to use SA in the morning after I cleanse, and this is the perfect toner step. If you normally tone after cleansing, I definitely recommend using this. My skin is left feeling balanced and it leaves no residue. My pores are noticeably better and I am less oily overall, thanks to the SA. Comparing this to Farmacy’s: Overall, both formulas work similarly, however for oily skin I am leaning more toward Farmacy. I find myself gravitating toward the formula more because it absorbs quicker, has more added benefits and feels more refreshing on my oily skin. If you prefer using SA at night or have drier skin, Naturium is a great option for the added moisture, plus it is more wallet friendly. I just prefer SA in the am, so I prefer what feels best for me during the day.

Ranking the Farmacy “Farmers Market” Products
Ranking the Farmacy “Farmers Market” Products
I have been wanting to test out Farmacy for quite sometime now, so when I saw the FARMACY - Farmer's Market Kit at Sephora, I thought it would be a good intro to some of there best selling products. Here’s my rating of the products from least favorite to most favorite. FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 🍏 This stuff gets the job done, however I am not a big fan of cleansing balms (personally prefer micellar water for double cleanse). I felt like I needed a lot of the product to dissolve my makeup, and I do not the oily feeling on my skin. However, when it comes to cleansing balms, this is one of the better ones I have tried. I will not be repurchasing for the above reasons. FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya 💧This moisturizer is super lightweight and spreads easily on the skin. The texture feels nice. For me, it doesn’t give me as much hydration as I like from a moisturizer, it also made my skin feel somewhat tacky after I used, which is why I don’t love it. I think it will be a staple when my skin is feeling oily. This moisturizer has a great product list, including hyaluronic acid + a blend of phytonutrients known to help clear pores + reduce shine. It also has a lemon/limey scent to it. I would consider repurchasing if my skin were feeling oily. FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask 🍯 I swear this mask is magic. At first I thought I was putting honey on my face, but it quickly turns into a warming cream. While creamy, it also has that natural honey smell and gives you the same great qualities honey does. It gives my skin a soothing and rejuvenated feel after using. Although it seems like it could be messy, the application was super easy. This is a perfect “spa night” product. Love the was this feels on my skin. Definite repurchase! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry 🍒 I did NOT think this would be my favorite product out of the kit. This is a 15% vitamin C serum powered by a potent cocktail of vitamin C-rich acerola cherry and hyaluronic acid and it works. I am usually not a fan of vitamin C serums because the make my face feel sticky. After using this sermon daily for around a month I have noticed more radiant skin. It also has a nice, light natural cherry smell. I have been putting this below my eyes and my dark eye bags have reduced greatly. I will definitely be repurchasing, however the price for the full sized product is pretty steep ($62.00). Overall, I am incredibly happy I tried the “Farmers Market” products from Farmacy. All four of the products were high quality and great. I recommend trying these out for a great introduction to the brand.

GET UNREADY WITH ME 😋
Taking your makeup off after a long day and treating your skin with good ingredients is so important! These are the products that I’ve been using in my evening routine lately. Please consider that I have combination dry sensitive skin with rosacea. I also get breakouts! Here’s my makeup-removing, restorative evening routine: First Cleanse: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil I am halfway through this cleansing oil and it is the best oil or balm cleanser I’ve ever used. It doesn’t sting my eyes and I don’t have to go in a second time to remove waterproof eye makeup. Second Cleanse: iNNBEAUTY PROJECT - Foam Around Clarifying Daily Cleanser I am usually not a fan of foam cleansers but this one is amazing. It doesn’t strip my skin whatsoever which is crazy for a foam cleanser! It also helps fight breakouts. I haven’t experienced any dryness or irritation from this. Toner: INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner I have loved this toner for a long time, it’s full of antioxidants and hydrating ingredients. However I don’t support Indie Lee anymore due to past racist actions with no statement or action to be better. Serum: PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster I mix this into the toner. I have used this and have loved it, but similar to Indie Lee, I cannot make any future purchases with Paula’s Choice due to past racist actions and their new performative actions that aren’t creating real change within their corporate structure. Treatment: SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Acne Treatment Face Oil I’ve been using this dry oil formula for years to help fight breakouts in a non-drying way. I usually will use 2-3 drops under an overnight mask. I’m applying this as a preventative measure since I wore a full face of makeup today, which can cause clogged pores. The salicylic acid in this formula helps un-clog those pores! Moisturizer/Mask: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask this mask is SUCH a great moisturizer for me. It contains vitamin c and is one of the few formulas with vitamin c that doesn’t irritate my rosacea! It’s super hydrating as well and plays nicely with the other products in my routine. Pimple Patches: COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch these are my favorite drugstore pimple patches! They’re $3 for a pack of 24. I will use these overnight on whiteheads that may have appeared throughout the day and they are noticeably smaller come morning. Brow Conditioner: Briogeo - B. Well Organic + Cold-Pressed 100% Castor Oil I have been using this castor oil formula on my brows for a while for conditioning and growth. My complaint with this is the price. Lip Mask: Sweet CHEF - Sugarcane + Vitamin E Lip Sleeping Mask This formula is not goopy. It was sent to me as a gift. I love it! #CheriePartner

A roundup review of some pink products I’ve been using! ACURE - Seriously Soothing SPF 30 Day Cream This SPF moisturizer boasts niacinamide and blue tansy to sooth and even skin out in addition to being a moisturizing mineral SPF. I gotta say I’m not a huge fan of moisturizing SPFs in the first place but this one looked nice to me. It’s got a thin consistency coming out the tube but as you spread it on it’s pretty thick and heavy feeling. In about the middle of the ingredients list is coconut oil, a very occlusive and comedogenic oil, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who is oily or acne prone, but it hasn’t broken me out at least. It’s not my favorite SPF I’ve ever used, but if my skin is super dry or sensitive I’ll use this over my others. fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash I love this cleanser! I use it twice a week for some nice exfoliation. I’ve always preferred physical exfoliation over chemical (I know I’m in the minority here) and this one is super gentle! The sugar granules are small and dissolve pretty quickly, and the cleanser itself is a non-foaming jelly, plus it smells like a delicious strawberry smoothie. My skin doesn’t feel dry or tight at all after using it. I will definitely be purchasing the full size when I finish this! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry This is the serum that changed my opinion about serums! I used to avoid them because I hated the sticky feeling they would leave on my skin, but my skin had been lackluster and I wanted to add a vitamin C to my routine. This serum is amazing y’all! It’s only 15% vitamin C derived from cherries, so it’s gentle and natural, plus it has 4 different derivatives of hyaluronic acid. It just smooths over my skin like butter, I love it, I use it as needed for extra hydration or if I just wanna feel extra glowy, plus it smells so good and sweet! I’m glad I took this plunge, I highly recommend it! ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay I’ve only used this mask twice but so far it’s been really nice. I am a masker, always have been, and while clay masks aren’t really my go-to since I have dry skin, I’m glad I have just this one. It really tightens up my pores and my skin just feels sooo smooth after. It is a bit drying after washing it off but after serum and moisturizer it’s not an issue, and when I wake up my skin feels smooth and clear. Overall i think it does what it claims to do very well!
