THOUGHTS ON FARMACY’S CLEAN BEE CLEANSER

FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser
I’ve been using this cleanser for about 5 months now. Here are my thoughts so far: OVERALL OPINION: It is definitely gentle on my skin. I’ve used cleansers before that left dry patches on my cheeks & forehead area or that left my skin feeling tight. This cleanser didn’t dry out my face at all, but it also didn’t leave my skin feeling more hydrated/bright like other brands [Boscia’s cleanser is really good for this specifically!]. It has a nice texture & melts onto the skin easily. This is definitely one of my favorite cleansers I’ve tried thus far, but not a HG product. USE: I use this after removing my makeup with a makeup wipe. It helps break down any makeup or excess residue still on my face. I only need a small pump of product to remove everything. SCIENCE: The cleanser’s key ingredients include amino acids, sugar, coconut, honey, hylauronic acid, aloe, & chamomile. Honey is known for its anti/bacterial & moisturizing properties which makes it a perfect ingredient to include in a cleanser. Aloe contains antioxidants, vitamins A and C, and is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. This means that is very gentle on the skin & can help with inflammation of the skin [surface-level acne especially!] Chamomile has very similar properties. It is known for its high level of antioxidants & anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it a great ingredient to those with acne or with sensitive skin. VALUE: This cleanser is $28 at Sephora. That’s a pretty average price for a good cleanser & it’s lasted me SEVERAL months, so you get a good amount of product for what you’re paying for. I’d definitely use this cleanser in the future, but once this bottle is done I think I’ll try YTTP’s cleanser next.

Eco-friendly skincare 🌿
For reference, my skin is oily and acne-prone, and my main concerns are acne and hyperpigmentation. I think the phrase “clean beauty” can be dangerous because there aren’t any standards for what constitutes “clean,” so a lot of companies are just trying to capitalize off of it. However, I do do research into how sustainable and environmentally friendly certain brands are, whether or not they’re “clean” brands. For those of us who love skincare but also want to be conscious of how our habits impact the environment, it can be difficult to find brands whose values align with our own. A lot of brands skirt the question of sustainability, or greenwash their products with designs and buzzwords that make them seem more eco-friendly than they are. Farmacy actually has a section on their website about their commitment to sustainability, saying that they do things like partner with organic farms that use sustainable methods. I know that they partner with beekeepers in upstate New York for the honey that they include in their products, and they also partner with a small farm in California. I appreciate their efforts to support local farmers who farm sustainably. In addition, their packaging is made with paper that’s certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), a non-profit organization that sets high standards for responsible forestry. This means that the paper used in Farmacy’s packaging comes from forests that are managed sustainably. The inks used on Farmacy packaging are also based on naturally renewable raw materials (like soy). Last, all their jars are glass and made from recycled glass and are recyclable, as long as you peel off the label first. As far as I know, their plastic containers (like for Bee Clean, Clean Bee, and Green Clean) are also recyclable; just check your local recycling rules to make sure you follow them. As for the products themselves, all are cruelty free—because animals are part of the environment too! Some mini-reviews of the products seen here: FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser This is a lovely gentle foaming cleanser. It doesn’t strip my skin at all; the honey and hyaluronic acid leave my skin feeling clean and moisturized. The scent is beautiful, and a little goes a long way. I think this one is worth the price. FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow SerumI haven’t cracked this one open yet, but I’m super excited to! I just have too many other acids open at the moment. FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask I bought this full size after trying a sample size and loving it. The warming sensation is so luxurious, and it’s deeply moisturizing. FARMACY - Better Daze Ahead CBD Moisturizer This one has grown on me! It’s a thick, luxurious cream that helps a lot with my dryness from tretinoin. However, I wouldn’t pay $68 for it (I won this full size in a giveaway). #CheriePartner

Farmacy; mini brand review
Farmacy Beauty has been one of my favorite skincare brands at Sephora for quite some time now. I’ve tried about half of their products and for the most part I’m really happy with them. FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser - Amazing for oily skin! A really simple gel cleanser that gets all the dirt and sebum off the face. Foams up really well without stripping. Mild scent. FARMACY - Deep Sweep - An absolute must if you want to look into acne treatments. It has a water consistency that absorbs well into the skin. It helped reduce acne, appearance of pores, and inflammation. It does kind of smell like mouth wash though... FARMACY - Dew It All Total Eye Cream - This did absolutely nothing for me. It’s just a hydrating eye cream. It’s not worth the 30 some dollars I paid for it. It’s also hard to get the last little bits out of the container. Not worth the price. FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer - It is a very lightweight gel moisturizer but it didn’t blow me away. I remember being super underwhelmed with this product and I stopped using it halfway through only to pick it up later down the line and feel the same way. There are better on the market. FARMACY - Bright On Massage-Activated Vitamin C Mask - Did nothing for me FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask - Very hydrating and very fun! It’s a thick mask that warms when rubbed into the face. If you have dry skin you’ll love how nourishing this is. FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm - I absolutely love this for removing make up. It has a little bit of a slip to it but it rinses off really well and doesn’t leave your face greasy. It gets all the stubborn eyeliner and mascara off easily. FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya - I love this for oily skin! The gel formula is very hydrating and sinks into the skin without feeling too heavy. Works great under make up! #CheriePartner

FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser Among one of the few cleansers that I can’t do without!! Ultra gentle for even the most sensitive skin! It’s a gel like consistency cleanser that washes away impurities and pollution while nourishing your skin with honey and hyaluronic acid. It has a very pleasant honey smell and it’s soap free, sulfate free. This cleanser also helps maintain ones skin moisture barrier, how awesome is that. No irritation and no breakouts when I’m using this product. My skin feels really amazing after each wash with this cleanser! I love the smell. I’m already on my second bottle that’s how much I love this product! I really recommend this to those with all skin type but especially those with sensitive skin.

Beware of this awful cleanser!
Beware of this awful cleanser!
I’d rather get coal than Drunk Elephant’s Beste No. 9 jelly cleanser. It’s a facial cleanser meant for all skin types (since drunk elephant’s “philosophy” is that there are “no skin types.”) that is a jelly/gel consistency without any foaming or bubbles or any evidence of washing. It does leave an awful artificial cantaloupe taste and scent on your skin AND leaves a weird film of stickiness no matter how hard or long you wash. It claims to wash your face. I claim that the glycerin sticks to your skin and causes irritation and breakouts. It’s also extremely drying. I would highly NOT recommend this cleanser unless you are “drunk elephant for life” or whatever that works if you are 1 out of 10 people. It’s $32 for a 5oz tube and you can get a way better deal with the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser which is $15 for 12oz CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin. There is no competition with this cleanser, it’s that bad... If you have sensitive skin STAY AWAY!!! I’m giving it a 1 out of 5 stars since it comes in packaging that I don’t hate. Nothing else. Tatcha always delivers with clean, gentle products, and this cleanser is no exception. The Deep Cleanse has small loofah particles to gently exfoliate, suspended in a thick creamy substance. I don’t even want to call it a liquid because it is not runny whatsoever. It only lathers a little bit when it gets wet as well. The smell is so natural and spa-like and this cleanser does a great job giving a deep clean without leaving my skin feeling tight. I’d recommend this really for anyone because it’s great. It has especially worked well on my sensitive combination skin.

Tatcha The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser
Tatcha The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser
I’ve been trying out the Tatcha ‘The Deep Cleanse’ Exfoliating Cleanser for about a week now because it was in the Pore Perfecting Moisturiser & Cleanser duo that I bought awhile back. I wanted to try their Water Cream that is also in the set, but their Deep Cleanse cleanser was a welcome bonus 😜 This product is meant to be a gel cleanser that unclogs pores, clears impurities, while keeping your skin soft and hydrated at the same time. Although it is mainly targeted for oily skin, redness, and uneven skin texture, Tatcha claims that this cleanser is gentle enough that all skin types can give it a try - maybe except sensitive skin as this has a little physical exfoliation beads in the gel. For me, I have normal to dry skin and I didn’t think that this cleanser was particularly stripping or harsh on my skin, which can be the case for some foaming cleansers targeted at people with oily skin. The texture of this cleanser isn’t as lightweight or airy as other gel cleansers in the market. Is there such a thing as a “dense gel texture”? You get what I mean. 🤭 Anyway, it also has very fine exfoliating particles in the formula which helps to scrub away at any impurities I might have at the end of the day! Physical exfoliators have been a HUGE no-no recently but I didn’t think this was as harsh as I expected, so that’s a huge bonus for me. 😂 While I like the exfoliating beads in this, I don’t think I’m a big fan of the dense texture, but this could simply be because I’m so used to gel cleansers that are lightweight. There’s no particular downside to this heavier texture other than my own personal preference haha. Overall though, I would think that this cleanser is pretty alright. It works, but it’s not a miracle worker. One thing I was pleasantly surprised about was that my skin still felt soft after cleansing (as per Tatcha’s claims!) because I was expecting my skin to feel super stripped and “squeaky” clean after cleansing. This cleanser also does a pretty good job of clearing away any dirt/impurities, so that’s nice as well. Also, I have to say that I appreciate the little exfoliating beads in this! Regardless, I don’t think this cleanser is an appropriate daily cleanser for me - I still prefer something gentler and milder for everyday cleansing. The price tag doesn’t help either. 38 USD for a 150ml bottle is a little hefty for me, and not really worth it for a daily cleanser. Personally I doubt I’d repurchase this MAINLY because its too expensive, but I might recommend this to friends who can afford to splurge and like a little gentle exfoliation to accompany their cleansing. NEW Duo!I start to love it after the second use...😍😍😍
NEW Duo!I start to love it after the second use...😍😍😍
I have dry, sensitive skin. I bought the newly released FARMACY - Queen Bee Head-To-Toe Honey Cleansers. It's a duo of ultra-gentle cleansers for face + body. But have yet to use its body wash. I'll share my thoughts on it after I start using it.  When I first started using FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser, I didn't really like it because it left my skin feeling filmy. I only decided to give it another go last week when I used up my other cleanser. This time around I only applied it after rubbing it between my palms, creating a lather. Figure 2 shows the amount of foam from a pump of cleanser. It has a really soothing herbal scent and smells more of echinacea than of honey. It does leave my skin feeling a little filmy, but a lot less so than before, since I've switched to using a face towel. As an amino acid cleanser, I think it does a great job. Pros: It thoroughly unclogged my pores and visibly removed the blackheads and whiteheads on my nose. It might be because of its royal jelly extract that it nourishes my skin and doesn't leave it feeling tight. Its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant echinacea not only reduces swelling but also prevents collagen loss, allowing easy follow-up skincare absorption. My skin usually becomes fragile during seasonal changes but this Farmacy cleanser has been really reassuring and I have had no signs of allergy so far. I have also been very pleasantly surprised by how radiant my skin is every morning. I will definitely repurchase this cleansing gel as it's gentle enough for morning cleansing and cleanses well enough at night. Plus, I just adore its packaging. I bought the newly released setFARMACY - Queen Bee Head-To-Toe Honey Cleansers but have yet to use its body wash. I'll share my thoughts on it after I start using it. If you have any questions or suggestions, tell me!👇 I love hearing from you guys😝
