Anti-Aging Super Star - Hayluronic Acid Serum
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a sugar found naturally in our skin that holds water and helps keep it hydrated and plump. It holds a thousand times its weight in water helping to retain all that moisture in our skin and joints, but also prevent it from evaporating into the air. We are born with reserves of Hyaluronic acid in our bodies but the natural level of HA dwindles sharply over time and we lose our natural stores of plumping moisture. It’s normal to want to just “solve” this with water and creams but too much water in the skin, and your skin will start to break down other vital substances. Bonus for HA though is it is biologically identical to your skin. So, unlike using an oil or maybe something heavier to moisturize, there’s no chance of over-loading the skin with hydration and tipping it into greasy territory (causing clogged pores and breakouts). Even if there’s some excess, it will simply evaporate. HA is great for all skins types (even oily skin types) to stay hydrated, as there’s no fear of clogging your pores. If you look closely at the ingredients of your skin care, chances are you are already using it in one product or another as it is a top ingredient for anti aging. For combination skin, like mine, using a HA serum under my moisturizer is my favorite way right now to use this ingredient. I found a super budget friendly pure Hyaluronic Acid serum on (GlAm)azon by Dermapeel for a whopping $12 that I have been using for a few weeks now and my skin is feeling brighter, smoother, and healthier by the minute. There are many companies and brands who make this product as well as many different ways to incorporate HA into your routine. This particular serum was my first nose dive into trying out HA in serum forum to help with some of my fine lines and general woes of “I’m over 30 now… it’s time to get serious about my skin so I don’t turn into a crepe face later”. Using a serum or product like this also been nice in all of the chaos going on in the world that as things heat up for the summer and of course in the current socio-political & economic climate that regardless if I’m out side in the sun or inside sheltering in place, this “sponge” product is helping me fight off moisture loss and creating a barrier against free radicals so there is one less thing to stress out about. If you are looking to get your toes wet into the world of Hyloronic Acid but don’t have a huge budget for skin care, I would say this is a great place to start. ✨🤩✨#Dermapeel - Pure Hylaluronic Acid Serum[products]#[FiveStars] #cheriecreator #antiaging #serum #HA #HyaluronicAcid
Review! Antioxidant Hydration Drops by celestiaskin. This serum consists of some lovely ingredients Hyaluronic acid, saccharide isomerate (Pentavitin) which is a plant derived hydration which creates a moisture barrier on skin after application and binds onto the layers of the skin. Vitamin b5 and rice protein is also used for hydration. Davidson plum and Kakadu plum plus Rose de mai, white tea and Mangosteen extracts are used for added vitamin and antioxidant protection. The serum is light weight and absorbs really quickly and leaves no sticky finish that comes with some hydrating serums. I have been using this every morning for the last 4 weeks and it has been so lovely to use. It spreads easily and works well with other products, so no pilling. My face feels hydrated and really balanced after using this. It has the slightest scent which would come from the Rose oil which at the bottom of the list.. My skin is combination and I find this effect for my skin. I really really enjoy this serum and will continue to use this in the morning. Thank you celestiaskin for a lovely serum. Serum is free of artificial colours, artificial fragrances, SLS, parabens, and Pegs. They are also cruelty free and made in Australia.
Anti-Aging Serum: Shani Darden Texture Reform
If you're looking to incorporate Retinol into your routine for that amazing anti-aging effect everyone is raving about but you have Sensitive skin or you've never used Retinol before, this is the product for you! Shani Darden actually created this for those clients who were looking for the amazing anti-aging benefits of her stronger Retinol Reform but without irritating their gentle skin. This was the case for me. I don't necessarily have overly sensitive skin, however, I'd never used Retinol products before so I wanted to introduce Retinol slowly to ensure that I didn't have any irritation from going too far too fast. That's what made this such a great product to start with! Texture Reform contains: Mild Retinoid: This will gently boost cellular turnover to improve skin texture. It works gradually so it makes it safe for those with sensitive skin to use. Lactic Acid: This helps exfoliate the skin, improve the texture of the skin, reduce scarring and decongest acne-prone skin. Niacinamide: Helps keep pores looking smooth, boosts collagen and improves skin's tone Aloe Vera: Soothes and calms the skin The product has a light and milky texture and feels light and absorbs quickly on the skin. Plus, you can tell it contains actual retinol due to the yellow tint of the color! And, not to worry - despite the fact that it's a milder Retinol, YOU WILL SEE RESULTS! After only a couple of uses, I could see a change in the texture of my skin! Overall, this product helped me reveal brighter skin, soften the look of fine lines, provide antioxidant protection and reduce the look of sun damage and dark spots (my personal favorite!) - ultimately changing the look of my skin in only a few weeks! It's the perfect time of year to introduce a Retinol into your skincare routine since the fall is upon us so, if you're new to Retinols, definitely check out Shani Darden Texture Reform! At $95, it certainly isn’t cheap but, the results make it well worth the price tag!
CSLA Anti Aging Serum
This is the anti-aging serum sold at Corrective Skincare! This serum with pure retinol improved the appearance of my pores while preventing breakouts. A thick layer of this serum provided lots of moisture while firming and plumping my skin, I’ve seen amazing results especially under my eyes. It is great for most skin types, but if you have sensitive skin, I’m not sure how you’d incorporate this retinol 0.5 in your routine. This serum has a lot help with some discoloration. I’m not saying toss out your vitamin C products, but I did notice brightening! Because the ingredients have no preservatives, it’s best that this product is kept in the fridge. I was informed that outside of the fridge the self life is 2-3 months, in the fridge 4-6months. It retails for $64 which I find pretty average for good retinol products, but there are brands like The Ordinary and The Inkey List that provides GREAT quality for a fraction of the price. I loved using this product after a dermal infusion treatment because it was like the best in making sure I was heavily hydrated! I want to look into another anti-aging, maybe from Paula’s Choice.
**Review** Today I'm going to be reviewing the Maelove The Glowmaker Serum. Bit about the product. Its an antioxidant serum featuring vitamins C, E, Ferulic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid. Features 15% L-asorbic acid, which is the old standard of vitimin c but is the most unstable. Packaging is simple in a glass amber bottle with dropper. Consistency is slightly thicker than water and when applied is slightly sticky but disappears within 2 minutes. Colour is clear with slight yellow tinge that will get darker with time. Swipe to see ingredients. Does have a slight "hot dog" smell that is famous with vitamin C serums. I just finished using this up and it lasted me 3 months, I was very generous with it as L-asorbic acid oxidises quite quickly so I was applying it to my chest and back of hands. My experience with this serum has been nothing but good. It sunk in quickly with no irritation (only the tiniest sting in the beginning). My face started looking brighter and some spots were fading. I can't say that the serum is hydrating as have other products that I use for that. The price is good at $27.95 USD. They don't do any fancy marketing and use the same manufacturers as other big brands. So I do recommend this serum, I am also using retinol and acids to compliment using this serum to help with my pigmentation and brightening. Only down side for me is there is no international shipping at the moment but I hear they are working on that!
Another Good Molecules product gifted to me by Serene from Beautylish! This serum contains 10% niacinamide and is meant to promote brighter, even skin and reduce the appearance of pores. It’s also supposed to strengthen the skin barrier to reduce loss of moisture, making it a good preventative measure for wrinkles and other signs of aging. This serum is pretty thick in consistency but sinks into skin quickly with no problem. I don’t know that I’ve really seen any improvement, but keep in mind I’m also using it in conjunction with the niacinamide toner. That being said, I feel like I could go without this serum and I’m not a fan of how my skin feels afterwards. It’s a tiny bit tacky and.... Not exactly tight... But not the most hydrated either. At $6, however, I think this serum is worth a try! I’d give it a 3 out of 5, because it’s not a bad serum by any means— I just don’t know that it’s something I need.
