💛BEST HYALURONIC ACID SERUM EVER! 🧡💙

Myth: Only dry skin can be dehydrated. Wrong! Normal and oily skin can be dehydrated as well. Dehydrated skin is skin that lacks water content, while dryness refers to skin that lacks oil . In fact, oily skin tends to overproduce oil to compensate for the lack of water. This can lead to breakouts and enlarged pores. Other signs of dehydration include tightness, fine lines, dullness, and increased sensitivity. 💛Lets Talk Hyaluronic Acid🧡💙 Hyalruonic Acid is one of the best answers for dehydrated skin. It’s a humectant, an ingredient that binds to moisture. It has the ability to hold 1,000 times its weight in water! This results in hydrated, soft, plump skin! HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion
contains FIVE types of hyaluronic acid as well as sacaran algae known for its moisturizing properties. Hello hydration! 💦 💛Review🧡💙 (Swipe to see texture pic) This product is a serum with a thick milky consistency. It’s formulated WITHOUT fragrance, dye, or mineral oil.Since this product is a humectant, it’s best to use this product when the skin is wet. I currently use this at night. After I cleanse my skin, I immediately put this on and tap it into my skin. After it fully absorbs, I follow up with my moisturizer. This J-product product beats all of the overpriced HA serums in Sephora! Not only does it keep my skin hydrated, soft and plump for hours, but within 10-15 minutes of usage, the appearance of my enlarged pores are gone! This will also be a lifesaver when my skin becomes dry and sensitive during winter. This is a new constant in my routine. I got mine in an Asian beauty store but you can find the product on Amazon and YesStyle! It’s only 15 dollars!! Can’t wait to try more products from this brand! Happy Hydration! 💦

Hey guys this is my first post. Most of these products I bought after reading reviews and learning how to read ingredient lists on here. I use YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser cleanser with an electric silicone face brush. This can be a little hard to fully rinse off but, my skin is soft and glows after. Then I use HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray to tone and prepare for my first essenceHADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion which is very moisturizing and slimy. I use this for both the moisture and the niacinamide. I wait until it is fully dry the spritz more rose water and follow up with CosRx snail mucin ferment essenceCOSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence . After that I will either add this combo: The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane and then belif - Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask or the CosRx snail all in one cream COSRX - Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream to keep this oil on my skin and not my pillow lol Or go straight to Embryolisse - Lait Crème Concentré this is thick and I will either use it as a moisturizer or load it on as a sleeping mask. I mainly do skincare at night and I know that I should add a vitamin C and sunscreen during the day but, I haven’t found any moisturizing ones that I like yet/that are simple enough for me to slap on and give adequate protection. Please let me know your thoughts 😊

Updated PM Routine
Hey guys! I recently posted my updated AM routine, so now it’s time for my updated PM routine! It’s mostly the same products, minus SPF and adding in actives. For reference, I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin! 1. *Not pictured* If I wore makeup that day (very rare) or used multiple layers of sunscreen, I use the DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil to double cleanse my skin. Double cleansing provides a deeper clean on days that I need it! ($28 for 6.7oz at Dermstore) 2. VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser : I recently made the switch from CeraVe hydrating cleanser, and I am absolutely loving it! It’s still gentle, but it provides an amazing deep clean! It foams up really well. My skin is so soft and clean after using it. It’s the perfect first step for my routine. I use one pump with my Innerneed silicone face scrubber. ($8.99 for 8oz at Target.) 3. HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion : This hyaluronic acid solution contains 5 different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid to penetrate deeply into the skin. It has a gel-like texture. I apply a small amount on damp skin. It leaves my skin feeling plump, hydrated, and glowing. ($15.89 for 8oz on Amazon.) 4. CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream : This is the moisturizer that I keep coming back to. I have yet to find one that I like better! It’s very thick and moisturizing. It absorbs best when I apply it while my skin is still damp from the hyaluronic acid lotion. It provides a matte finish and keeps my skin soft & hydrated throughout the day! ($9.99 for 8oz at Target.) 5. Tretinoin 0.1% or PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster : I alternate these products every other night. The Tretinoin is my holy grail product! It was prescribed by my dermatologist for my acne. If you are interested to learn more about Tretinoin, check out my posts “My Tretinoin Journey” and “Derm Prescribed Acne Treatments”. ($10 with insurance) Azelaic acid was also prescribed by my dermatologist to help fade my post-inflammatory erythema (PIE), which is basically post-acne red marks. I already had this product at home, so I’m finishing it up before switching to prescription strength. ($36 for 1oz from Paula’s Choice) Both of these products have helped me so much. My skin is getting clearer and clearer each day!

Brand Spotlight: Shani Darden Skincare
Brand Spotlight: Shani Darden Skincare
Esthetician Shani Darden created her skincare line after training under a leading dermatologist. Her products, especially Retinol Reform, are popular among celebrities like Kelly Rowland @rosiehw, and Emmy Rossum. ⁣ ⁣ I received the best package with 4* of her cult favorites to test: Retinol Reform, Cleansing Serum, Weightless Oil-Free Moisturizer, and the Sake Toning Essence. The packaging is minimal and sleek, which I am a fan of, and the pumps on the product make it easy to disperse. ⁣ ⁣ Retinol Reform: 2.2% encapsulated retinol targets uneven tone, fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and acne scars without the irritation and dryness of other retinol serums. Also contains 2% lactic acid. I've only used this once so I can't speak on the claims. I liked the consistency and how quickly this absorbed. I didn't experience any tingling or other unpleasant sensations. I will be updating here when I've finished.⁣ ⁣ Weightless Oil-Free Moisturizer: The texture and consistency are just what I look for in a moisturizer. This is super light-weight and absorbs nicely, leaving my skin feeling soft and non-greasy. I've been using this AM and PM since I received it only a few days ago so I can't say much. ⁣ ⁣ Cleansing Serum: Ever heard of a cleansing serum? This removes both makeup and impurities without stripping the skin. It contains hyaluronic acid and oat bran extract to restore moisture and olive extract to calm. ⁣ ⁣ Sake Toning Essence: Brightening, mattifying, and alcohol-free. Sake brightens the skin while Sebocytine controls oil production and appearance of pores. Face Oils for Acne
Face Oils for Acne
This oil is a quick-absorbing facial oil that is enhanced with tea tree oil and plant-derived squalane. It is used to help target blemishes, pores, redness, and acne. This oil contains tea tree oil which helps to purify and calm skin, squalane which helps moisturize, and rosemary extract which helps to prevent oxidation of oil on the skin. This oil is super lightweight and not greasy at all! It also has a natural scent of tea tree oil which isn’t overpowering at all. So I have been using this product for about a few months now and I love it! It has quickly become one of my holy grail products which I constantly reach for. The thing I love most about this oil is that it does everything! I love using this facial oil if my skin is feeling super dry and dehydrated or even if I have any texture or blemishes on my skin. I also saw immediate results after using this oil for about 3-4 times a week. I would definitely recommend this product to others! I have seen so many other facial oils that are more expensive than this Biossance oil, yet aren’t as effective. This oil helps combat so many different skin problems which helps justify the price! This oil retails for $49 on Sephora!

Squalane 💚 The best oil for oily skin?
Squalane 💚 The best oil for oily skin?
If you’re anything like me you’ve always wanted to incorporate oils into your routine but your oily skin really made that hard. Squalane is your best option for that. Without being too heavy or greasy it helps balance the oil production in your skin to provide you with just enough moisture. It’s full of free radicals that help fight the signs of aging. It also has anti-inflammatory benefits that help a lot with skin conditions like acne and eczema (which I suffer from myself). A few drops a night can be very beneficial to combo/oily skin. The The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane is probably my favorite product with squalane in it. It retails for $7.90 making it very affordable! I’ll take 2-3 drops at night, rub it between my hands, and press it into the skin. You only need a little bit so this oil will last you a long time! It claims to moisturize the skin while mimicking the skins natural oils and I find that to be true. It never feels heavy or greasy on my skin like some oils can. I only use this at night though because I feel like it could potentially be too much under make up for oily skin. If you’re not into oils and want something to give you the same benefits I love the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer . It’s a little pricier at $52 (I only have the mini pictured) but it’s well worth it. I love the lightweight, gel formula because I can use it morning or night. They claim it helps with transepidermal water loss (how your skin loses moisture) and overall strengthens your skin barrier. I do find this to be true. My skin over time always feels better and more hydrated when I use this. It can sometimes feel dehydrated and this always does the trick. It also doesn’t have a smell either which I’m always a huge fan of. I think the own down side of this would be the price tag. I think these are both great option for OILY skin who need some hydration!! If you don’t mind oils The Ordinary will be perfect for you. If you’re like “woah, my skin is oily. I’m not putting more oil on it!” thats totally okay and the Biossance will be more up your alley. 🖤

Products That Make Me Glow! ☀️
Products That Make Me Glow! ☀️
I have sensitive combination skin so finding products that make me glow can be tough but I have found gentle products that work for me! Glowing isn’t just about exfoliation either. Vitamin C is brightening for skin so that helps with glow too! Here are some of my favorites: 1. Honeymoon Glow by Farmacy ✨ Key Ingredients- AHA, flower acids and honey ✨ Honeymoon Glow is an nighttime resurfacing serum that for me gets rid of breakouts and leaves me glowing the next morning. It tingles a bit when first applied but that quickly stops. I couldn’t go without this one and if I didn’t already have a back-up, I’d be repurchasing with the current Sephora sale! ✨ I like to use acids like this with a stronger nightly moisturizer like Healing Ointment by CeraVe! I use this maybe twice a week at most. 2. Rose + Glow Oil by Leah Skin ✨ Key Ingredients- Vitamin C and Squalane ✨ This oil is a game changer💕 Vitamin C brightens skin gorgeously but always use with SPF! I use it morning and night and notice significant changes in dark spots overnight. Over weeks I’ve seen major transformations in my skin. I have super sensitive skin and get hormonal breakouts so I’m talking from a MESS to smooth and plump. It has squalane and a stable form of Vitamin C that plays nicely with other Vitamin C and even retinol. ✨ Because it is more stable than others, it also lasts significantly longer- this bottle being good for a year after opening compared to some of my others which expire as quickly as 3 months. It is clean, in glass packaging and adorable. I will definitely be repurchasing this once I finish it! 3. Enzyme Powder Polish by Sand & Sky ✨Key ingredients- Australian Glow Berries, Papaya Fruit Enzymes, Quandong and Davidson Plum, Aloe Vera and Jojoba oils for brightening, smoothing, soothing and nourishing skin. It also has their Kaolin clay in it too! ✨This is now my preferred type of wash-off exfoliant. It starts as a powder then you add a little bit of water and rub it into a foam. After massaging on skin for 15 seconds, you simply wash off and go on with the rest of your routine. It makes my skin feel SO SOFT and helps remove any dryness or peeling. It’s super gentle on the skin but really effective and pairs beautifully with retinol as well. ✨This starts as a white powder but when you add water, you get that classic pink Sand & Sky color. Pro-tip, it took me about two tries to get the ratios correct- if you add too little water, you’ll get a paste and if you add too much, it’ll absorb into your hands. You want a light pink foam. Are these 2 items from Pyunkun
Are these 2 items from Pyunkung Yul worth the raves? Well, other than the fact that they’re affordable, I don’t think they’re exceptional. 😐⁣ ⁣ I know I kinda raved about the Moisture Ampoule when I started on it. I guess I was taken by the fact that it consists of only six ingredients, primarily Coptis Japonica Root Extract (over 90% of the formula), said to be a powerful skin-calming and hydrating ingredient. 🌱🌱🌱⁣ ⁣ Pyunkang Yul Moisture Ampoule is described as a high-potency moisture booster that calms, smoothens, and destresses skin for a glowing complexion. The honey-like consistency grabs onto the surface of skin then melts in for a smooth, soft and bouncy texture. ⁣💖 ⁣ Well, the honey-like consistency is kinda true. I find the texture very thick and gooey! But though it feels sticky to touch, it doesn’t leave a sticky film on my face. In fact, my skin feels pretty smooth and soft to touch. 👩🏻⁣👩🏻👩🏻 ⁣ But after using the Moisture Ampoule for a season, I felt it's not moisturizing my skin sufficiently. I think this product might work well for someone with normal or even sensitive skin because the ingredients are simple. I have combination skin and my cheeks still felt dry in the day after using this and was oiling quite a bit because of that dryness. I wonder if their Moisture Serum will work better. 🤔⁣ ⁣ I use this Moisture Ampoule straight after using the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner, which is described as an intensely hydrating formula designed to deliver nutrient-filled moisture to skin. Water is not present here as 91.3% of this toner is milk vecht root extract, full of skin-beneficial betaine and minerals. ⁣ ⁣ Personally, I don't find it intensely hydrating even after using the 7-skin Kbeauty method (applying the toner 7x) with this. IMO, this is just a very afforable and watery toner that you can use for the 7-skin method without feeling the pinch. In short, nothing to shout about. 😐⁣ ⁣ But again, I think this may work well for someone with normal or sensitive skin because it also has inflammatory properties. The product received the most raves so it must be doing right for many people.⁣ What I do like about Pyunkang Yul's products are that they are simple formulations with minimal ingredients and are fragrant free. They probably work very well for those with sensitive skin that cannot tolerate too many unnecessary additives. 🙃🙃🙃⁣
