Lippy scrub 💋💋
First things first, I am not a fan of physical exfoliation for poc skin. I recently heard it increases hyperpigmentation due to the Micro tears it causes and it over all just not good for any skin type. ECO LIPS - Eco Lips Sugar Lip Scrub
How can a lip scrub be great at exfoliating yet hydrating at the same time? Fresh has managed to achieve both with their Sugar Lip Polish. My lips get quite chapped during the winter time but this helps alleviate that. The texture is gritty without being too rough and the product lasts quite a long time. sara happ - The Lip Scrub

Lush hasn’t made many products that have disappointed me. This unfortunately is one that did. First off, I never understand when brands instruct the user to “lick off” the excess lip scrub. Just because it’s edible doesn’t mean you should! Saliva naturally dries lips, so why are brands instructing consumers to immediately dry out their lips again after scrubbing them?! This scrub smells amazing and it does a good enough job at exfoliating. I docked stars because it leaves my lips feeling more sticky than hydrated after using. I wish that it would leave my lips more soft and supple but instead it just leaves them feeling a bit raw and tacky. The packaging is very cute and it’s a very nice idea, the ingredients just don’t mesh well together IMO. It definitely isn’t the cheapest scrub either. I wouldn’t recommend this sadly.

I have been on the hunt for an SPF lip balm lately since I’ve been spending more time trying out different SPF’s for my face (reviews later, I promise) and while trying out different face screens, I thought “what about my lips?” 🤔 We all know it, the golden rule of skincare: USE SUNSCREEN EVERY DAY. 🌞 But have you ever thought of the fact that your lip balm should also have SPF? 🌝 Along with the risk of skin cancer, extended sun exposure gradually breaks down your collagen and results in thinning lips. So wearing SPF on your lips will help protect them from both skin cancer and signs of aging. 😲 Anyway, I have been trying out a few different SPF lip balms, all drugstore so far, with everything from Sun Bum (mango) which was awful because of the overpowering flavor to Aquaphor which wasn’t really my thing either. 🤮 But then, while grabbing vitamins in Target and someone without their mask 😷 came tumbling down my aisle, I fled over to the next aisle and suddenly a wild SPF O’Keeffe’s balm appeared! 😲 Being as I love their lotions for my eczema, I had to give their lip balm a try, plus it was only maybe $4? 🤔 Let’s just say I think I have found my holy grail SPF lip balm. 🙌🏻 ✨ it’s moisturizing as hell, I don’t feel I need to apply it as often as other balms ✨ my lips are sooo soft after using it and for so long too, I’m talking hours upon hours ✨ it’s SPF 35 compared to most other balms at SPF 15 ✨ it has shea butter in it ✨ it’s cheap 🌝 ✨ It doesn’t have a taste, which for me is perfect. I don’t taste it at all ✨ it’s water resistant up to 80 minutes 🙌🏻 Honestly, with that being said, I plan to buy one for my best friend and see how she likes it under lipstick / lip tint because it lasts such a long time and it feels so smooth and soft on the lips. Overall thoughts? I love this lip balm, its super moisturizing, has an amazing amount of SPF in it to protect the lips, it’s tasteless, it’s cheap, it feels amazing and I’m willing to bet it would be perfect for long wear under lip makeup 💄 OH, it also doesn’t take several swipes to use, only maybe two or three swipes and you’re good, so it will last a long time. This is THE lip balm SPF 🧴 for me and I am going to stockpile and order about 13 of them so I never run out. 🌚🙌🏻✨

Lip scrub for sensitive lips
Açaí & Mango Sugar Lip scrub What it claims to do: nourishing Shea, cocoa, and mango butters with exotic oils soften and sugar provides gentle exfoliation, leaving lips plump, smooth and soft. The antioxidants from açaí oil and and mango extract keep delicate skin youthful as vitamin E and aloe soothe. My opinion: at first I thought this scrub was really gentle but the more I used it, the more I started liking it because it was perfect for my sensitive lips. I tend to develop lip allergies pretty quickly so I have to be careful while using lip products. This scrub really helps me out bringing the moisture and pink hue back to my dry and chapped lips. And you only need a small amount to do its magic! Texture and consistency: very gentle and creamy exfoliator Price: $22 for 0.5 oz sounded a bit too much to me for a lip scrub initially but now that I know how long it’s going to last, I think it’s worth the investment for soft lips

My favorite OG lip scrub!
Lip Scrubbies Let's talk about my OG FAV lip scrubbies. Lush Cosmetics Bubblegum Lip Scrub is something I've used for the past 4 years now? And to be honest, yeah this is the ONLY flavor I can get into. It scrubs effortlessly and the taste is delish. This is obviously marketed as a lip scrub to help dry, chapped lips. The texture is perfect to me. I love the grain from the sugar personally, which obviously helps with the yummy taste. There are a variety of flavors and the only other one I've tried was the blue razz which tasted great but unforuntately it dyed my lips blue after using! So It's not a product you could use during the day. For the cost of these being under $12 and for the amount of time this product lasts, it gets 4 stars. Why only 4? because honestly this gets messy!! I always make sure when I use this to be over my sink because there is no way to avoid excess getting all over the place. LUSH - Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Lip Filler— where?! | Lip Care Essentials
General Thoughts: The Rose Lip Scrub and accompanying Rose Lip Butter by Milani Cosmetics has been an absolute game-changer for my lip care routine; especially considering the fact that most people do not, it has quickly become a staple for my self-care and maintenance. How I Discovered: While rummaging through my collection of products, I realized this was in my kit! Seeing that I’m typically apprehensive of lip scrubs as they usually do not remove any stubborn, dry, flaky skin that persists on my lips. The only other lip scrub I’ve tried is the E.L.F. Lip Scrub Stick, and it isn't the most effective, which only further propagated my excitement for incorporating the scrub into my routine. Usage and Product Notes: I Simply start with bare, dry lips and begin with a pea-sized amount of the Rose Scrub to start. The granules of sugar are appropriately sized so that you aren't cutting into the surface of the lips, but rather allows for complete removal of dryness on the surface of the lips. After gently, be generously cleansing the lip of any crusty bits, follow up with the Rose Butter Lip Mask— a velvety-rich lip mask with the consistency of condensed milk and full of lip-smacking ingredients such as nourishing rose oil— and leave it on for a minimum of 2 hours (or overnight) to see instantly fuller, softer, hydrated, plumped lips without a trip to the aesthetic nurse! Best for: These two are a must-have for those who struggle with dry lips, especially with the frequent use of masks in our daily lives; but also, for those with big lips who find the traditional lip scrub and balm do not work for them.
