This is THE BEST cleansing oil out there
This is the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, known as the original Japanese first step oil cleanser. It claims to break down and dissolve makeup, sunscreen, and sebum, leaving the skin cleansed without an oily residue left over. It is formulated with a base of antioxidant-rich olive oil and vitamin E, which leaves the skin feeling soft and nourished. DHC is the best first cleanse I’ve ever tried. This is my second bottle and I plan on repurchasing again once I run out of this one. It’s the only oil/balm cleanser I’ve used that doesn’t nearly blind me when I rub my eyes with it (yes, even the Farmacy balm irritates my eyes). It dissolves every last bit of my makeup so easily, even the loads of mascara I put on. It doesn’t leave any film on my face AT ALL, and my face feels so soft when I rinse it off, not tight or dry feeling at all. It does have a slight olive oil scent but it doesn’t smell like an Italian restaurant, more like a spa. No complaints whatsoever, especially not about the price. Very well done product, I can see why it’s a huge bestseller. I got my mini at target (it lasts me a decent amount of time) but you can buy a few different sizes of it online. Full size 6.7oz $28, mini size 2.4oz $14, jumbo size 10.1oz $40. Highly recommend checking it out.DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil

LUXE mini EMPTIES - what will I purchase?
Hi everyone! Thanks for all of the support on my first week’s posts, I’ve really enjoyed making them! I wanted to switch it up from the usual super in-depth review on a single product, so here’s a few deluxe samples I’ve recently used up and my thoughts on each of them (from left to right). I know I write a lot, feel free to skip around my post if you wish! La Mer The Eye Concentrate: This product carries a HEFTY price tag so I’ll be a bit more critical than usual. It felt nice to use and I’d say I noticed a difference in smoothness and hydration as opposed to just taking my moisturizer underneath my eyes. However I didn’t notice any brightening effect (biggest concern with my under eyes) and the results I did get were pretty comparable to a normally priced eye cream. It’s a lovely cream but I just don’t think it’s worth it. Purchasing? Nope.LA MER - The Eye Concentrate Lancer Clarifying Detox Mask with Green Tea + 3% Sulfur: I wasn’t blown away by this product, but it did work. I don’t have oily skin so I can’t say whether it helps with oiliness but it did help a bit with my hormonal breakouts. I noticed it helped speed up the healing process for older break outs that were already starting to “flatten out”. I’ve used better products for treating acne before (stay tuned) but I could see how people might really like this one, especially if it’s also great at reducing oiliness. Purchasing? Probably not.LANCER - Clarifying Detox Mask with Green Tea + 3% Sulfur Saint Jane Beauty Luxury CBD Beauty Serum: YOU GUYS, I’m so sad that I’m out of this. It won’t do much for full fledged pimples, but it’ll heal all of my less severe acne so my skin is pretty clear and I only have a few little friends I have to spot treat. It’s not even targeted for acne concerns but that’s what it helps me with the most. It’s also really hydrating for my slightly dry skin and just an overall gorgeous product. More of an oil than a serum though, good to keep in mind. Purchasing? Yes but I might go for the mini size and see how long that lasts me, the price tag on the full size hurts my soul.SAINT JANE - Luxury CBD Beauty Serum Algenist Genius Collagen Calming Relief: I really enjoyed using this product too, it definitely calmed down my skin when I had some redness going on during a breakout or after a chemical peel. I would highly suggest checking this out if you have super sensitive skin. It’s a cream texture so I would usually use this in place of my moisturizer since it’s pretty moisturizing as well. I really have nothing bad to say about it it’s just that I have so many creams I’m working through right now, but I’m always happy to have a soothing product on hand that works well so I might pick it up eventually anyway. Purchasing? Possibly soon.ALGENIST - GENIUS Collagen Calming Relief

Underrated mask for SOFT SKIN
This is the Dermatologica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque. It is a creamy, vitamin-packed mask that claims to help aging skin recover from sun and pollution damage, adding back hydration and brightness into the skin while lessening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as uneven texture. The product is formulated with several beneficial vitamins and extracts, including: Vitamins A, C, and Lactic acid: for brightening and evening out skin’s tone and texture Vitamins E, F, B5, and superfood algae extract: for restoring moisture to the skin and repairing free radical damage I think this mask is so underrated, I never hear anyone talking about it and I get such great results every time I use it, and I’ve used it quite a few times too. It makes my skin noticeably soft and it just feels sooo good on the skin. I usually like to use it right when I get out of the shower while my skin is still a little warm. The texture of it is really creamy and smooth, it feels like it’s melting into my skin, and when I rinse it off my skin is so smooth and hydrated. It’s like the perfect spa day mask. I can’t speak to the anti aging benefits very much, but if I’m noticing a smoothing effect on my younger skin I’m sure the results would be even more noticeable on more mature skin. The only downside I can see with this product is that the results aren’t particularly long lasting and don’t build over time, and it’s a bit pricey to not have lasting results. For instance, my skin feels really soft and smooth for a day or two after using the mask, but after that the results are pretty much gone. I would say this is a great extra skincare step if you want “instagram filter” skin the next day for pictures or for an event/special day, or if you’re just looking for a really nourishing mask that will also help with texture, it’s a nice mask to treat yourself to. The product is $59 for 2.5oz full size and $15 for 0.5oz mini, I definitely recommend checking it out. dermalogica - Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque

MUSHROOM magic for CALM skin
This is the Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion. It is a watery, hydrating liquid lotion that claims to calm redness with soothing mushroom extracts while prepping skin for subsequent serums and moisturizers. The product is formulated with three different mushroom extracts: reishi, fermented chaga, and coprinus. This is the second bottle I have purchased of this product, it’s a longtime favorite of mine. You can buy this really pretty limited edition botanical printed bottle at Sephora or just get the standard green bottle, it’s the same exact product just in different packaging. I’ve always gotten noticeable results from using this product, I don’t even need to wait overnight to notice my redness starting to fade after using it. Since it works so well at calming down my skin, I always have this on hand after wiping off chemical peels or drying clay masks that irritate my skin a bit. It’s really great at keeping my acne flare ups from getting out of hand. As I mentioned, this “lotion” is more like a watery essence. I usually apply it directly to my skin as to not waste any product , or you can drop it into a cotton round (as I’ve shown here) and wipe it onto your skin that way. Sometimes when my skin is particularly angry I like to soak a few cotton rounds with this and let them sit on my face for a little bit, kind of like a quick DIY sheet mask (you can use this trick with any sort of essence or toner, just make sure you lay down so the cotton rounds don’t fall right off). My only concern about this product is the numerous essential oils high up in the ingredient list. I’ve read a lot of conflicting information about the use of essential oils in skincare products. From my understanding, they can be sensitizing and irritating to some people’s skin. I’ve never had any irritation issues with this product, however I’m also not thrilled with how many of these oils are higher up on the ingredients list than the mushroom extracts which are supposed to be the highlight of this formulation. I think the results I’m getting are really impressive, I’m just not super impressed with the ingredients overall. The product is $35 for 6.7oz full size, $20 for 3.4 oz mini on the brand’s website, and $56 for 13.5oz jumbo at Ulta. Unless you know for a fact that your skin is sensitive to essential oils, I would say give this product a shot if you’re looking for a skin soothing type of product. It’s a bestseller and I can see why. ORIGINS - Dr. Andrew Weil For Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion

I’d rather get COAL than this CULT FAVORITE
This is the Transforming Walnut Scrub from OLEHENRIKSEN. It is a dual purpose scrub that exfoliates and cleanses the skin to purify your pores. It is formulated with walnut scrub to gently (ha) lift and loosen dead skin cells. The product claims to purify pores, diminish dullness, and smooth out the texture of your skin. I cannot stress enough how much I hate this scrub, and I gave it a really good shot because it has RAVE reviews and is known as a cult favorite for so many people. I should’ve known not to use a scrub with walnut powder because I’ve heard from so many different sources that it is irritating and damaging to the skin, but the thousands of reviews on Sephora convinced me to give it a shot anyway. The bottom line is the scrub is way too harsh, but I’ll give the details of my experience using the product anyway. First of all, if you EVER get the SLIGHTEST bit of this stuff up your nose, be prepared for one of the most painful experiences of your damn life. I understand it’s not meant at all to go up your nose, but for a product that is supposed to be rubbed all over your face, it shouldn’t make your throat burn in excruciating pain if a tiny bit goes up your nose. I’ve never even had a scrub go up my nose before anyway, it was so strange. Aside from that, it literally hurt my face to use this, it just felt so uncomfortable and I wasn’t getting good results anyway. And don’t let the word “powder” fool you, the chunks of walnut are pretty big and you can feel all of them scratching all over your face. I decided to stop using it on my face and use it to exfoliate my shoulders and chest area instead as to not waste the product, and it left red scratches all over my chest! I can’t believe I ever put this on my face! Maybe I’ll use it on my feet or to buff out a scratch in my car door. I’m fairly certain there’s no way I could’ve made this product work out for me. I have slightly sensitive skin but nothing major at all, I can get away with using almost any product including many other physical scrubs (I love the Lancer Polish) and pretty intense chemical exfoliants too. I apply a normal amount of pressure when I use a scrub, if I have to barely use any pressure in order to make a scrub not hurt my face then why would I even bother. The product is $28 for 3oz. If this is a favorite of yours, by all means keep loving it. All I’m saying is - buyer beware. OLE HENRIKSEN - Transforming Walnut Scrub

Your ENTIRE skincare routine in ONE product???
This is the Peach & Lily Lazy Day’s All-In-One Moisture Pad. It comes with 60 pads that are soaked with the product solution inside of a really pretty jar with Peach & Lily’s signature peachy pink lid. This formula is packed with ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and tons of vitamins and antioxidants such as spinach, broccoli, carrot, pomegranate, and bamboo extracts. It claims to deliver the effects of a toner, essence, and moisturizer to nourish and hydrate the skin. I think this is a really innovative product, definitely perfect for the occasional lazy day when you’d have to skip out on your skincare routine for one reason or another. The ingredients are also very impressive, Peach & Lily always does a great job at not including too many “filler” ingredients and really going hard with the good antioxidants and hydrators. The pads are also heavily soaked with product so they glide on really nicely. The biggest downside I’ve found to this product is that it’s not quite enough to actually replace a moisturizer like it says it does. Since the product solution is very watery, I see it as more of a really beneficial toner than an all-in-one type of product (which I think would be really difficult to actually accomplish). If you really wanted to make this your one-and-done hydration product, it would probably be sufficient to replace a few steps of your morning routine if you use cream at night. I would still highly recommend checking it out, especially if you tend to skip out on skincare more often than you’d like to, it’s definitely better than nothing! Serums have a higher percentage in active ingredients therefore, (they) are great moisturizers to hydrate the deep layer of the skin. dear, klairs - Rich Moist Soothing Serum is light soothing serum that helps replenish moisture loss in the skin. This is great for sensitive skin because it is free of fragrance. This contains Phyto-oligo and Centella Asiatica (CICA). Phyto-oligo which provides moisture to skin. Centella Asiatica helps soothe irritated skin. It absorbs quickly to the skin leaving the skin feeling silky smooth. I love using this in the winter because my skin becomes dry and the serums helps my skin stay hydrated. I would usually mix a few drops of the vitamin C (dear Klairs see previous post for more info) in this serum. In the summer my skin gets flushed easily and this helps cool down any redness, all thanks to CICA. I have been using this for 3 years now and this will be my 3rd bottle and I will keep purchasing this serum because how well it nourishes my skin. 2.7 oz/ 80ml - $22

The product I’m most thankful for!
This is the Azelaic Acid Booster by Paula’s Choice and it’s such a lifesaver. This is the product I’m most thankful for this year and I’m so happy I was introduced to it! It reduces redness and helps with pigmentation. My skin feels so good using this! I almost use this every night! If you have any of those concerns please give this a try! It won’t disappoint.PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster

Empties: Cocokind Oil to Milk Cleanser
I recently ran out of my beloved Cocokind Oil to Milk Cleanser! 🌻 SKIN TYPE, FUNCTION & CLAIMS 🌻 For my AM skincare routine I love to use a gentle, milky cleanser. I don’t like to use anything harsh, abrasive or stripping because I’m not washing off the day’s dirt or any makeup! My skin is normal and leans towards dry in the winter months. When shopping for a new AM cleanser I saw that this one claimed to “’wash’ your face without stripping it of moisture”, and it “leaves the skin feeling soft and supple” which is EXACTLY what I look for not only in an AM cleanser but that’s what I look for in cleansers in general during these winter months because my skin leans a little drier! I decided to give this one a go and I was NOT at all disappointed! 😍 🌼 TEXTURE, CONSISTENCY & FORMULA 🌼 This product has the most unique texture/consistency I’ve come across yet! It starts off as an oil, not like a runny kind of oil, more like a soft, thick texture and once you use water it turns it into a MILK! 🥛 It goes from having some structure to becoming a silky, creamy consistency. After rinsing it off it left my skin feeling SO nice and soft! You have to experience it yourself to understand just how lovely this formula is 💛 This cleanser is full of incredibly beautiful and nourishing ingredients such as oats, lactobacillus, vitamin e, and grapeseed oil. It has a very light, calming geranium scent to it that really completes the experience 😌✨ 🌞 FINAL THOUGHTS & PACKAGING 🌞 I LOVE this cleanser so much and really savored every last drop of it! You can tell it was really thoughtfully made by the formula and even down to the sugarcane tube packaging (very low carbon footprint!) It’s only $18 and you can catch it on sale sometimes at your local Whole Foods Market which I think is totally worth it considering the high quality ingredients you get! I totally recommend anyone of all skin types try this product! It’s such a nice, gentle formula that’s just perfect for a good AM routine and with a pH range of 5.25 it won’t disrupt your skin barrier. I will definitely be repurchasing it in the future! ⭐️🌟⭐️ cocokind - Oil to milk cleanser

The dewiest of them all 💦🔥
The UNDONE BEAUTY - LIP TO CHEEK 3-IN-1 CREAM PALETTE is an amazing cream blush! I find the concept to be super innovative in that you get this mini palette with the blush in three different intensities: sheer - medium - opaque. It’s so fricking easy to apply and blend with just your fingers or a stippling brush for a more localized placement and it looks so so dewy and beautiful! It’s perfect for travel since you just need this small compact; I really love the finish of this blush on the skin. I have the color Blazen which is this orangey-red, and it looks kinda intimidating in the pan but since you have all these different finishes to choose from is very easy to use! Undone Beauty is sold at Target at a great price point which makes it easily accessible and a good more price effective option!

Juice Mask Anyone?
ESW BEAUTY - Strawberries & Cream Soothing Raw Juice Mask ESW Beauty is a new company that just launched in November. They were kind enough to gift me a pack of their masks to try and review. I’ve already used up all the masks they gave me and actually repurchased another one because I liked them so much! They created a Raw Juice Sheet Mask line which is as amazing as it sounds. All their masks are free of parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, formaldehyde, and sulfate detergents. They are all made with vegan, organic ingredients and are also certified by Leaping Bunny and PETA. Their mask is made out of cupro fabric which is biodegradable and the pouches are made from LDPE (low density polyethylene) which is recyclable. I like the fact that they put so much thought into their ingredients and packaging I’ve been loving the Strawberries & Cream Soothing Raw Juice Mask as of late when my skin needs the extra love and hydration. This contains a medley of ingredients such as coconut, vanilla bean, almond milk, and strawberry extracts which help soothe sensitive skin. I’ve used this mask twice now and I love it. My skin feels instantly smooth and hydrated once removed. The texture of essence in this mask is denser than normal essences and actually feels more like a dense serum but sinks nicely into the skin. This retails at about $6 a mask and they have a couple more options depending on what problems you want to target. Even though this mask is on the higher end of the price point, I would still 100% recommend them and I would keep repurchasing. I give this a 5/5 stars.

Impeccable toner for winter acne!
K beauty is attractive , you know, they creat lots of user-friendly products . I found this brand called Huxley , clean and safe enough. They claim to be beneficial of acne and sensitive, with ingredients from cactus in desert. I do believe its effects to clam and sooth my skin by using it for a month. The fresh toner is hydrated and weightless. Easy to absorb and blend, I don’t feel any irritation at all. My acne is smaller and fewer. The redness on my face reduces gradually. It’s my holy grail!!! I love this toner!!! By the way, I am using their fresh cream at the same time. I think their work better together. They make a difference on recovery and oil-control. This brand is suitable for oil, combo , sensitive skin. Fragrance is nice , too.
