PORE MINIMIZING SERUM

Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and helps exfoliate the uppermost layers of the skin. It results in smooth, refreshed and refined skin, which ultimately leads to smaller pore size. The Ordinary’s Lactic Acid is the first acid serum I’ve ever tried and I still consider it one of the best ones out there. It’s also super affordable and you absolutely can’t beat the price ($7)!!! Prior to introducing this product to my routine, I remember having a lot of dry, rough patches. But after a few uses it immediately made my skin so much smoother, more supple and it overall helped reduce breakouts! I’m assuming it’s because it was removing my dead skin cells, which prevented them from clogging my pores and causing break outs. I experienced tingling when I first used it but my skin has since adjusted and it’s been completely fine. I have also been able to use it everyday (I started with every other day). It has a very thin texture, almost water-like, but I never had any trouble with application and I always use my fingers. Overall, I really like this serum! If you’re new to skincare and have been interested in trying out an exfoliating acid, then I highly recommend checking this product out! It’s also available in 5% which is more gentle and for perfect newbies (nobody wants to burn their faces off 🤣). The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA

The most cost efficient chemical exfoliant✨
The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA The most effective and cost efficient chemical exfoliant ever produced! One of the Ordinary’s greatest product. Lactic acid is a great chemical exfoliant and is used to treat textured skin, dullness and uneven texture. I have been using this product for approximately 5 months and it has significantly overpowered any physical exfoliant out there. Perfect for all skin types from dry to normal. —————————————— How to use? Lactic acid is extremely acidic and can be harmful if used at the wrong time, with the wrong products or too often. Additionally, exfoliating too much can lead to dryness, peeling and/cracks. Thus, it is important to only use lactic acid 1-2 times per week. Lactic acid also cannot be used with certain types of vitamin C’s and niacinamides, as a result, do your research with each product before applying to the skin. Furthermore, lactic acid is the most effective during the night as skin cells replenish the most during the nighttime. Lastly, it is important to build a tolerance for lactic acid, start with a low percentage and build your tolerance. Skin routine including lactic acid can be as following: rinse face cleanse tone apply drops of lactic acid moisturize —————————————— Recommend 80% Throughout my experience, I would recommend lactic acid to anyone who is looking to exfoliate the skin. This product is also tremendous for dry to normal to oily skin. However, it may not be the best chemical exfoliant for sensitive skin types or people who suffer from eczema. Most importantly, in order to use this product, one must do extensive research to know how to use it and how to implement it in your skin regimen. If not used properly it can cause serious damage to the skin due to its extreme acidic concentration.

Pores minimizing serum

The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% peeking solution is by far one of my favorite products on the market. The product is meant to minimize pores, exfoliate your skin, and leave you with fresh, new skin. It is a chemical exfoliator that gets the job done! It is a red liquid that goes on nicely to your skin. I love this product! It stings your face a little but you only leave it on for 10 minutes so it’s not unbearable. I have been using this for a little over a month now and I use it once a week. My favorite day of the week! Once I take it off my skin feels smooth and it has a glow to it. My makeup applies much smoother the following days. I have recommend this product to all my friends and all my family members! They all love it. This product is definitely worth the $7.20 price tag. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

after 3 months I am on the las
after 3 months I am on the last few drops of my The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% and Zinc 3%. . . I want to give this product a fair review and that is: I used it all up for a reason, because it worked. This solution is designed to reduce the look of blemishes and help fight against sebum (oily white heads that block your pores and pop up looking nasty)..which is why I got this, as my chin had this sort of congestion. . . What you may not know is that Niacinamide is also known as Vitamin B3 and can help restore the skin, and improve a multitude of skin imperfections like the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness, and a weakened skin surface. It actually helps enhance the skins barrier function which reduces signs of aging! . . Having used The Ordinarys version of this product all I can say is, that yes it absolutely reduced congestion and white heads on my chin. The other brilliant effects of Niacinamide which I mention, I didnt notice. I used this for a total of 3 months and my chin cleared up within 2 weeks and has been clear since. I only used this on my chin and only in the evenings. . . So YES, it worked but i wouldnt buy it again, because it did feel cheap. The solution was sticky, viscous and sometimes it went kinda soapy on application. At times after a few nights of use, my chin had slight red blotches, which went away after I stopped using the product for a few days. It was also impossible to put on in the am, as it took a while to absorb and make-up didnt sit well on top! . . as a quick fix and a cheap solution- yes absolutely I recommend. as a long term investment into healthy skin, i would find a Niacinamide product from a more established luxury brand. Hope that clears things up (excuse the pun!)

Pore Minimizing Serum - The Ordinary
Pore Minimizing Serum - The Ordinary
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This serum is marketed as a high strength vitamin and mineral blemish formula that is used to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion. It also is used to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and balance the overproduction of oil. This is a liquid consistency with the tiniest bit of ‘stick’ to it, that sinks in easily and smoothly. I’ve been using this product for a few months now, and this is my second bottle of it. It’s easily become a staple for me! For the price point, I think it’s almost impossible to beat. I picked this up when my skin was really congested after seeing a recommendation on Instagram. I have definitely seen results in my skin, especially in my clogged areas like my chin and cheeks. I would highly recommend this to people with clogged pores and issues with excess sebum. It is definitely worth the price, and a little goes a long way. I’d rate it 5/5.

Niacinamide, the GOAT!
Niacinamide, the GOAT!
Niacinamide has been a game changer in my skin care routine. And it’s the product that I’m MOST thankful for! Prior to using the Ordinary product, I was using Niacinamide samples from Aesop. I had five samples which I used nightly religiously, and lasted roughly about three weeks. On the third week I was able to distinctly point out the difference in my skin’s texture and appearance. I wasn’t sure if the Ordinary brand was going to hold up to the Aesop wonderful magic, but I had faith! Thankful it has! Aesop Niacinamide retails for $115 for only 2oz, that purchase definitely wasn’t going to happen, so I’m thrilled that I found a gem in this $5.90 savior! Niacinamide is known to be the solution that tackles oiliness and pores, and it has literally worked miracles in both of those areas for me. I had a whole lot of congestion, especially on my forehead! I felt this grainy texture that wasn’t quite acne but definitely wasn’t clear. It quickly change. The pore sizes on my cheeks also dramatically decreased, it was like a new smoother texture with all of the decongestion. Along with this new texture I was less oily! Thank God! I’ve had a history of shine throughout my forehead, nose, and chin. This has reduced the shine without over-drying those areas. While I do love all of these benefits, the product does claim to reduce the appearance of blemishes and I can’t say that I’ve seen those results. Otherwise 5/5 product! I would suggest this product to anyone in a maintenance phase, where it’s not so much acne but not so “clear”. I definitely know that this will be repurchased and forever in my routine. I’ve been recently complimented on my skin and I’ve given all the credit to Niacinamide.

Chemical exfoliants magic for the pores
Chemical exfoliants magic for the pores
The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution is marketed as a 10 minute exfoliating facial. It contains 30% AHA AND 2% bha, the AHA is meant to exfoliate the skins topmost surface for a brighter and more even appearance while the bha works underground to clear pore congestion! With continued use it’s meant to minimize pores, and improve skins texture. It is a very deep red so it can look scary, and the application process is messy for sure but to me it’s worth it! I have had this baby for 6 months now and love it. Truthfully it brings on a whole new level of chemical exfoliation that my skin just needs every once in a while. I have noticed visible imporovements with my pores, and especially any left over hyperpigmentation. Because this product is such a strong chemical exfoliant you really have to work up to it and be extremely careful when using. I found that my skin is sooo sensitive after using it that I normally slap on a hydrating serum and my summer fridays jet lag mask and call it a day. The next day it’s sooo important to wear and reapply spf continuously. Because of the improvements I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has experience with chemical exfoliants and is looking for a next level product that’s not too expensive but works amazingly. For $7.20 and the length it lasts I would give this product a 5/5. If you get this please please listen to your skins needs and moisturize/protect. Let your skin breathe for a few days after before applying any acids!

Great oil control serum!
Great oil control serum!
Oil control skin care product: This serum is supposed to help with oiliness and pores. It reduces the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion, along with balancing visible aspects of sebum activity. The serum is a clear, gel-like consistency. As you start to rub it into your skin, it becomes tacky and sticky to the touch. I haven’t been using it for that long, but so far I like it. I decided to try it because I went to glossier to get their super pure serum (which is the exact same thing: niacinamide & zinc) and they were sold out, so the lady told me to try this brand instead (plus it’s way cheaper). I have really bad visible pores that will not go away, so I wanted to try this serum to hopefully help with it. Even though I haven’t been using it that long I can already see my pores starting to tighten up and decrease in size. So yes, I do like this product and I would recommend it if you’re trying to minimize pores and oil production. I 100% think this product is worth it because I got a 2 oz bottle of this serum for $10!!! I love this brand because their products are so straightforward and so affordable. The glossier serum which has the exact same ingredients is $28 for 1 oz, so you’re getting so much more for your money with this product. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
