Faux Freckles c/o FRECK BEAUTY | 🤩❤️🐞
Freck BEAUTY - THE ORIGINAL FRECKLE I don’t know about you guys, but I LOVE the look of freckles. Unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed with any at birth, but that’s where Freck Beauty comes in. Their “Freck OG” product is easy freckles in a bottle, that barely take two minutes to apply. ⏰ This little guy seems pricy, at $22USD for only 0.04 fl oz, but a tiny bit goes a long way, and I’ve had my bottle for a while now. It’s easy to put on: some people dab a little on their face and spread it with their fingers or a beauty blender - I usually dab it right on the sponge, then apply from there. This allows you to scatter the freckles so they look natural, and blend it into your foundation/whatever other face makeup you have on. It would work well on bare skin too, almost acting as a spotted stain. ✨ I love using Freck when I want to spice up my daily makeup routine, or add it in when I want an enhanced look without having to go full glam. This is a tiny secret weapon that would suit most skin tones; Freck highlights people of many ethnicities in their demo photos for this product so you can see what it would look like on a complexion similar to your own. ❤️ What do you guys think of the faux freckles trend?! 🤔

Rodial - Soft Focus Glow Drops Deluxe As someone who doesn’t usually use a primer under their makeup, I was interested to see if this one could change my mind. The Rodial Soft Focus Glow Drops came in my October BoxyCharm subscription box, and I thought this would be a great chance experiment with the argument for or against an illuminating primer! My first impressions: ✨ This product is used under the makeup to enhance a glowy, illuminated look. Rodial says this is a skincare + makeup hybrid, working with active ingredients to increase glow even when you’re not wearing a full face. I appreciate that this product includes antioxidants, and that it didn’t break me out as a lot of makeup tends to do. ✨ Primers often have a tacky quality to them in order to help the makeup stick, but I didn’t find this one to have much of that feel at all. I know this is more so a glow booster, but as something that’s meant to go under my full face, I’d love to see it formulated with a better staying power and grip for those long days. ✨ I think that this product would work best on its own, on days you don’t wear a full face of makeup. If you’re looking for something to help enhance your natural glow, putting a few drops of this all over after your normal skincare routine would do the trick. Instead of using this as a full-on illuminating primer, I feel like it would be more effective as a few drops of subtle glow. While I didn’t love this product from Rodial, I would love to try something else from their line. They say that they make “luxury & innovative skincare and makeup,” and this is seriously calling my name! 😱 Let me know down below if you have any experience with an illuminating primer and can recommend one for me to try! ❤️

Get your brow game STRONG! | 💪🏻❤️⚡️
Our eyebrows are key players when it comes to completing a look - they frame the face and always show our emotions, even when we don’t want them to! Cherie started the Best of Brows tag, and while I will be telling you guys all about my favourite products, I first want to touch on how I took my brows from drab to fab in a few short years. My top tips: ✨ Give. Them. TIME. This is the #1 thing when it comes to growing out your brows and helping them look thicker: just don’t touch them! It’s hard, but it pays off. ✨ Coconut oil! Be careful using this on your face as it can clog pores, but I would just brush a bit through my brows with a brow brush to saturate them with it. You can also use castor oil if preferred. ✨ Use LESS product. The less you fuss with your brows, the less hairs will fall out. You need to hang onto every last one when you’re trying to thicken them up! And now, here are some of my FAV brow products! ✨ benefit - Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel ✨ Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel ✨ ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo ✨ WINKY LUX - Uni-Brow Universal Eyebrow Pencil Hope you guys can find some help in this post if you’re looking to grow your brows out! ❤️

HERBIVORE - Cloud Nine Favorites Collection We all know it’s nearly impossible to pass up a good sale! Sephora has one on now, and I figured it was the best time to treat myself to this set from Herbivore. I haven’t tried any of their products yet, but you guys seem to LOVE what they’re doing, so its about time! The lowdown on what’s inside: ✨ HERBIVORE - Pink Cloud Rosewater + Tremella Creamy Jelly Cleanser This cleanser is said to remove makeup and impurities while hydrating the skin. Using tremella mushroom, a moisture-retaining powerhouse, soothing rose, and pure squalane, this is meant to be a silky, luxurious cleanse that leaves you feeling clean, without stripping your skin. ✨ HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask This fan favourite mask is gentle on the skin, soothing redness and reducing the appearance of pores. It uses white willow bark (a natural BHA!), fruit enzymes, and blue tansy oil to reduce redness and inflamed acne. I can’t wait to see what the hype is about! ✨ HERBIVORE - Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil For Oily & Acne-Prone Skin Another popular pick, once again including blue tansy, is this beautifully coloured face oil. Additionally, it uses kukui nut and jojoba oil to balance and hydrate, our MVP squalane, and jasmine sambac oil to boost elasticity. ✨ HERBIVORE - Prism 12% AHA + 3% BHA Exfoliating Glow Serum This chemical exfoliant is becoming more popular by the day! A mix of AHAs and BHAs, Prism uses naturally derived chemicals to gently resurface the skin, as well as rosewater to help soothe sensitive spots during the process. ✨ HERBIVORE - Coco Rose Body Polish A delectably-scented body scrub, Coco Rose is highly moisturizing and leaves the skin smelling like a floral, tropical oasis. This scrub has some pink clay mixed in to help detox the skin while you exfoliate and hydrate. After seeing so many of you talk about how in love you are with Herbivore, I’m seriously excited to use these products. The kit was packaged beautifully and really made me feel like I was gifting myself something so luxurious. 💅🏻 Stay tuned to see my in-depth reviews on each of these products! 📝

GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask Glow Recipe didn’t impress me much when I tried a handful of products a couple months ago, but I’m not giving up! Their Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask seemed to be well-loved so I was hopeful that this would be the product to win me over. Did it do the trick?! My thoughts: ✨ I like a thick eye cream (like my fav One Love Vitamin E Eye Balm), so this product was already looking good. This one is meant to be slathered on at night, acting as a rich mask-like cream that provides intense hydration. ✨ This cream features encapsulated retinol, aiming to even skin tone and repair damage. Being encapsulated means it will sit on the surface of your skin longer and release over time, gently doing its job overnight. ✨ Avocado is dense in vitamins E and C which are proven to fight wrinkles and environmental damage. These are imperative ingredients when it comes to anti-aging and repairing incurred damage that holds your skin back from looking its best. ✨ After a few uses, I started to see my under eye area brighten up. I have a tried and true eye balm that I’ll stick by forever, but I think I’ll be reaching for this one when I need some heavier hydration in the coming winter months. Glow Recipe didn’t let me down - FINALLY! I’m excited to have found a product from their collection that agrees with my skin and does what it says it will. And here I was thinking GR might be a lost cause in my cabinet...😅 Have you experimented with introducing retinol yet? Any tips for an anti-aging beginner like me? 🙋🏻♀️

2020 Top 5 ✨
This year has been a whirlwind! These are my 2020 top 5s: 1. Product fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer I’ve been using this for almost 6 weeks now every night and whew! This kept my skin together at night even know as I am healing my moisture barrier. Fresh is definitely on my repurchase list and out of everything this is my everyday product. 2. Trend Retinol A lot of products and routine became “popular” this year. Out of all of these I’ve found this to be the most effective! My skin has cleared up (broke out again), evened out, and reduced in lines and it’s because I have kept a retinol based product in my Arsenal since May ! DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask Some of my faves ! 3. My Best Look This was my photoshoot when my son was 2 months old 💙 I spent about a good 2 hours on my makeup and hair that morning so I take pride in it, plus my son face is priceless. 4. Favorite Creators This was super hard! The way I narrowed down my choices were based on who’s post I saved the most. I don’t save a lot of posts so when I do it speaks to me that I enjoyed reading and I know that this persons experience was honest and thorough! I also have some few close but these were my top 4: @JaNeeReviews @skinwithlau @RedheadSkincare @madihomewood 5. What I learned “Great things never come from your comfort zone” I stepped outside of my comfort zone this year. I’m sure everyone did. Mines was personal to me because I started researching more and experimenting on a deeper level with my skin. I found myself trying things I knew nothing about and it felt great! Stepping outside of my comfort zone has been an amazing feeling .. scary but rewarding. I hope to never put limits on my goals and plans !

〰️HERE’S TO MAKING EVERYDAY, A SATURDAY 〰️
There’s nothing quite like a great moisturizer, it’s so important to me to find something that I really like. Since it’s usually the last or second last step to my routine, I always want something that’s going to really lock everything in while calming down my skin. I actually was given this from @skinwithlau🥰 and finally got around to using it. 💪🏼 |PERFORMANCE| I’ve been using this as my nighttime moisturizer, it has really helped since I had gone a little overboard with actives. I’ve been waking up with hydrated, bright skin when using and love how easy it is to spread. 🤲🏻 |TEXTURE| I’m loving the lightweight gel texture of this moisturizer, it spreads so nicely and gives a cooling instant hydration feeling 👃🏻|SCENT| unscented 💦 |INGREDIENTS| Alaska Glacier Water - mineral rich water protect protects skin from free radicals while promoting optimal absorption of moisture Iceland moss- calms and reduces redness while promoting hydration l 💸 |VALUE| $51 CAD will get you a 50ml portion. Although you don’t need much, I tend to go over board with this product and use arguably too much all over my face and neck. For that reason it puts it on the luxe side of moisturizers for me, but if you have self control ahaha I think it’s great value! Do you use Saturday Skin products? Which ones your fav?! DIY brow lamination! $30 for $120 salon-worthy results
As a beauty lover, I always try the latest beauty methods unremittingly. One of them is the brow fit trend. My eyebrows are very sparse, and I have not plucked them for two years to make them grow. So when I saw this new technology, I felt that maybe there was hope for me and my brows. Salon treatments usually cost around $120 and last for six to eight weeks, but because the salon is closed, I decided to try lamination of my eyebrows at home. I got this kit from amazon only costs $30! How did it work? First, I used the eyelash glue of this kit to glue the eyebrows to the desired position. I applied the perm liquid solution on one eyebrow at a time and then topped plastic wrap on it to make the chemical work. Eight minutes later, I used the fixing solution to set the broken hair bonds into the shape that was glued at the beginning. When I applied it, my forehead area started to foam. That is normal, so don’t be worried. I also put it on my eyebrows with plastic wrap for eight minutes. After removing the chemicals, the next step is to clean them. Finally, I used the nutritional oil included in the kit. It’s an essential step because the chemicals used in the lamination process can dry out the hair. The photo is the result immediately after! The eyebrow lamination at home took about an hour, and I can say it’s efficient and affordable! BUT, If you want to have a try, please make sure you’re not allergic to these chemical things and be cautious when applying them. Product used: Elevate the Beauty - Eyebrow and Lash Lamination kit. Unfortunately, this kit has already sold out.
