New favorite affordable sunscreen
I recently just tried this sunscreen and I am obsessed! This is going to be perfect for those with dry skin, especially during the winter time. It’s moisturizing, doesn’t leave a white cast, doesn’t feel greasy and it’s SPF30! I also love how dewy it makes my skin look!

Wearing Sunscreen is Essential! ☀️✨
And thanks to@cherieBlack Girl Sunscreen is one of my new SPF essentials. The creator of Black Girl Sunscreen created it as a solution for Black women struggling to find sun protection. Also as a way to encourage women of color, to spend more time exploring nature and the great outdoors! Which is great because this sunscreen is water-resistant & works for the face and the body. There’s even a kids version available! The formula is also free of reef-damaging chemicals like oxybenzone and octinoxate, it’s completely free of parabens and fragrances as well. For me and my dark skin, it’s important for me to find a sunscreen that is going to protect my skin, & do it without the dreaded white cast. This sunscreen provides all of that! I use about a nickel size of this, & rub it into my skin. It applies nicely & isn’t ashy, greasy, or sticky. Most importantly, it's completely invisible upon my skin, & leaves it with a perfect glow afterwards! I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Especially to my girls with melanin. You definitely won’t regret it. This is available at Target for $15.99 for a 3 fl oz tube. Thank you Cherie for sending me this to review! ☀️ BLACK GIRL SUNSCREEN - Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30
No Casper vibes with this SPF!
I received the highly recommended Black Girl Sunscreen moisturizer from @cherieto review. BLACK GIRL SUNSCREEN - Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30 I don’t have much to say about this product except that it’s the bomb! Especially if you have any melanin to your complexion 😉 This SPF leaves no white cast so none of that dreaded Casper look. On top of providing sun protection it’s also super moisturizing enough so that I don’t need to apply additional moisturizer prior. Lastly this stuff does NOT smell like the spf we are used to. As someone with hyperpigmentation and dark spots I cannot skip sunscreen ever! And this helps protect and moisturize my delicate face
I’m a Brown girl! And I love my skin tone. So the only way to protect my skin and Tone is to wear a protective layer of moisturizer. That moisturizer also consist of a Broad spectrum Sunblock. Even indoors. That’s why I love this sunblock. BlackGirl Sunblock. Some people think just because your a darker skin tone, you don’t have to protect your outer layer of skin. Yes, we still have to protect from Ultra violet rays. The most dangerous sun rays. And even when it’s cloudy out. Protect your tone and Protect what you love!! the BEST sunscreen for oily skin 🥰
okay, so i’ll be honest i was definetely one of those people who never wore sunscreen. I was like ‘who needs sunscreen if you’re just sitting inside all day’ never actually taking into account that there are things in this world called windows... since watching Skincare by Hyram i have since learnt my lesson and started utilising sunscreen, i was always against using it previously as my skin is already oily and i did NOT want to put anything greasy on my already oil slicked face 🥵 I did my research, watched about 100 videos and decided on the dear, klairs soft airy UV essence dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ and guys, this is a GAME CHANGER for people with oily skin that still want to protect it from UVA/UVB rays. i have not once noticed my skin become oily throughout the day since using this product and it honestly goes on like a dream. it feels like a lightweight moisturiser and sinks into my skin soooo well! if you’re in the market for maybe the best sunscreen ever? look no further than this one! ✨

Kbeauty vs jbeauty spf
ETUDE - Sunprise Mild Watery Light SPF 50+ light gel-cream texture spf Applies evenly Alcohol high on ingredients list Uses various chemical filters to protect the skin (but doesn’t use avobenzone which my skin hates) Works well under makeup and dries down semi-dewy. No pilling. Contains fragrance which may be irritating to some people. Overall this spf was good. It worked for my skin type with no issues and wasn’t too thick or heavy. Biggest complaint was the fact that alcohol was high on the ingredients list. CANMAKE - Mermaid Skin Gel UV Feels like a watery cream rather than a gel cream. Applies evenly and spreads well. The texture is very light so it dries quickly Uses various chemical filters to protect the skin as well as physical filters as well. Gives an extremely dewy/radiant finish. Works amazing under makeup (honestly doubles as a primer) Has no scent to it which is great for sensitive skin This worked so well for my skin type. I had no breakouts using this and felt like my skin looked so good when I used it. So who wins? I think the Canmake SPF wins for me. It works well and feels amazing on my skin. The Etude House is an amazing option but it was just a tad short of compared to the Canmake spf

SPF your Sun Bum 🌞
There are a couple general rules we hear quite often; drink plenty of water, do 30 mins of exercise each day, and above all apply SPF everyday! I hate to admit but I’m not really good at remembering to apply some form of SPF - especially now that I’m home most of the days. Hence why I bought the sun bum - Day Tripper to go along with my current sun bum - Face Lotion SPF 50 and sun bum - Sunscreen Spray SPF 50 collection. 😊 You see typically I travel somewhere warm each summer and with the amount of sun screen I apply during vacay, I end up breaking out on my face. Last year I was on the mission to find a fave sunscreen that wouldn’t do that! I was 100% impressed with the Face Lotion ( retails for $12.99 - 3 oz). Compare to the usual drug store sunscreen brands, this brand is a little bit more than the usual but still worth the money bag! This lotion has SPF 50 and is sheer enough to not feel heavy on the face. It doesn’t leave that white cast on your face which is another great benefit. I feel like it would be great for all skin types, for reference I have oily combo skin! 🙂 This summer I am going out on more neighborhood walks when the sun is out and bright hence why I needed to step up my SPF game and buy things I know I like and would use! I got the SPF 50 spray and the day tripper set to be ready! The spray sunscreens are so convenient to use - you just spray and go 🏃🏻♀️. The spray retails for $15.99 (6 oz) at Ulta or other retail stores. The spray is easy to use and does a great job of spreading the SPF evenly across the body and has a lovely scent. If you know, you know what I am talking about 😆! I personally love Ulta because they gave coupons and promotions that can be combined together. I was able to get Buy One, Get One 1/2 off and 20% off as well. The day trip ser retails for $19.99 and brings a lip balm, SPF lotion 30, and Cool Down Aloe lotion. The lippie comes in coconut scent and feels amazing on the lips! I keep these items in the bag the Day Tripper set came with near the front door so that there is no excuse to forget to apply the SPF. I would 100% recommend these sun care items to anyone looking to have fun in the sun and be safe while having a good time! Let me know if you have tried these before! 💚🌞

☀️ SUNSCREEN SERIES: Biore Aqua Rich Versus...
This summer, I’ve been on a quest to compare sunscreens and find something that tops my favorite sunscreen moisturizer- Biore’s Aqua Rich Watery Essence. Here’s my take on that compared to Hydro Boost Water Gel: Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+ VS Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 PROS 💧 $ and can find in any drug store! 💧 Spreads beautifully like a moisturizer and doesn’t leave a white cast (for me, light-medium) 💧 Chemical sunscreen with UVA/UVB coverage! 💧 Doesn’t pill on top of my skincare! 💧 Thicker consistency may feel more occlusive for dry skin. CONS 💧Only SPF 30 😢 (vs 50) 💧Aqua Rich is scented but Hydroboost smells MUCH stronger. Not a huge fan but it’s tolerable. 💧Thicker in consistency, which means it could leave a white cast for those with dark skin tones! 💧Contains Alcohol (as does Biore’s) So does it top Biore’s Aqua Rich Watery Essence? No, not for me! While a reasonable swap, I find the formulation heavier that I’d like since I use SPF as my daily daytime moisturizer. It’s also SPF 30 only and smells stronger than I’d like. Onto the next one 😬😄

2 Biore SPFs put to the test
So if you’re someone who is interested in Korean spfs, and has come across both of these spfs, you definitely need to read this review! They are similar but have a few key differences. Bioré - Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen SPF50+ This is the more common of the 2, and is widely spoken about. It has multiple chemical UV filters which make it effective. The texture feels light, it dries quickly, and it blends nicely into the skin. My biggest issue is that alcohol is #2 on the ingredients. It smells like alcohol mixed with fragrance which I find unpleasant. I’m sure it dries down so quickly due to the alcohol. It can be drying on dry skin types as well. I didn’t have too much of an issue but it wasn’t my favorite as a result. Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ This has the same chemical filters as the watery essence, with the main difference being texture. This as a more “true sunscreen” texture in the sense that it is rather thick when applied. It doesn’t blend as easily into the skin and feels a bit sticky tbh. Alcohol is #2 in this as well and it has the same alcohol-y smell as the essence. I really did not enjoy the texture of this as I found it heavy and sticky. My makeup pretty much fell off my face when I applied it. Didn’t cause breakouts but I just don’t Iove it. So the main difference is just the texture. If you aren’t bothered by the alcohol, I would recommend going with the essence to start as the gel just doesn’t feel great on the skin.
